Apartments are very clean, the staff is very helpful and friendly and if there are any maintainence issues, they are there within 24 hours of contacting them (most cases 1-2 hours) and fix them right the first time. The only negatives are that some residents do not clean up after their dogs. Champions Park has plenty of bag and disposal stations to make it easy and convenient but residents don't seem to take advantage. The only other one is that I rarely ever heard my neighbors but I would always hear their dogs barking - especially during the day when they are left alone. Champions Park is in a nice location - close to grocery stores, banks, shops - everything!

    I lived in Champions Park for almost a year. The management staff is the worst people to deal with. If you fall on hard times do not go to the Adams County Housing Authority for help if you live in Champions Park Apartments. The housing authority refuses to even attempt to work with the management staff. They also will rent your unit once you move out and attempt to charge you and the new tenant for the same month of rent

      My husband and I have lived here almost a year and its been a great experience. The maintenance and management were wonderful. They were friendly and very quick to help. The few downsides to the apartments is the noise, speed bumps, and the rent rose higher then we think reasonable. The walls are very thin you could be sitting in the living room with the tv on and know that your bottom floor neighbors left the apt. Or hear your neighbors in their room. You don't notice the speed bumps at first but they wear on you. I ignored all the reviews about the thin walls because I figured it was just normal apt walls but they are bad. I think if our neighbors that weren't whote trash a**holes it could would of made the difference. We're sad to leave because there's a ton of space in them and the staff is so wonderful, but onto something different.

        I Love Living at Champions Park

        I have been a resident of Champion s Park for over two years and feel that it has the best combination of friendly service, beauty, and value. I would encourage any of my friends to live here. I attribute the great environment to a capable staff that is eager to help. I appreciate that they plan community events regularly and respond quickly to problems that are reported. Great Service and amenities like a great workout room, business center, hot tub, and small things like providing an onsite recycle collection will keep me there for at least another lease.           The best treatment you will ever recieve in any rental:-)

          Archstone Champions Park in Thornton, CO is the best experience I have ever experienced renting anywhere. And I have rented apartments throughout the U.S. and also Europe. The Archstone staff are wonderfull.They will bend over backwards to make sure you are satisfied. It is also a beautiful community to live in, very quiet and peaceful. And nice people live here. Great for kids here too. Apartments are also very spacious, and for the great prices they offer I cant believe what you get.Feels like a little luxury home with so many great amenities! I have not one negative thing to say about this beautiful place.

            Feels like a home

            We are a family of four and we had to downsize to a two bedroom apt. I am so glad to have found Champions Park, the staff, Samantha-Mgr., Lisa-Asst.Mgr, Sam, Ben and good old Ryan, were awesome! they helped our transition and always were available and remembered you by name. The maintenance staff, Dean and the others were superb we never waited more than an hour and that was a lot for any repair and we did have a few, courteous, professional and friendly.               Awesome!

              This place is lovely. Great deal for the price, and wonderful management. It does allow dogs, so as with any dog friendly place some dogs are not quiet. The grounds are super clean and well kept, and the pool area is great! I would highly recommend!

                lovely

                What can I say? I looked at over 30 complexes around Denver and came back to champions park. I moved to Colorado from Michigan and had only a vague idea of areas and their respective proximities to grocery stores, bars, restaurants, etc. Thornton is about 20 minutes from down down downtown and 30 from boulder. I love both so its great as far as location goes. The office staff are super helpful and extremely friendly. I've dealt with all of them since moving in and I don't have a single complaint. The apartments are huge. You're getting 1/3 more for the same price as other complexes. Everything is well built and its mostly quiet, although a lot of that is dependent on your neighbors. The colors on the walls and carpet are drab, but that's what you expect. At least they repaint and replace carpet after every tenant. Overall, this place has everything I was looking for. Safe, convenient, friendly office and maintenance staff, killer clubhouse, and huge well laid out apartments. I'd recommend it to anyone.

                  Pretty Nice Actually

                  I lived at Champions park in 2007-2008 (so maybe since then it has gone downhill) while I was doing an internship. I actually loved the place. I am from a small town, so I was really scared to move to "the city". What won me over was the double doors that leads to the stairwell/patio/front door. I felt safe, and that was a huge thing. I didn't ever have a problem with the staff, however my neighbors were really obnoxious and loud, and I did make a complaint, and never heard from the neighbors again. I do think the apartment was a little pricey, but my unit was really big and overall it was a great experience. Like I said, this was a while ago, so I don't know how the management has changed since then, but if you are looking for a nice place, that's pretty close to shopping (I had to go to Westminster's side or up to 120th, since there wasn't too much over on this side) then I recommend this place.

                    Management Sucks!!! Don't move here!!!

                    I have lived here for 2 years, and have seen many employees go thru the office. There were a few really nice associates that worked there, but the managers suck. I don't feel like I will get the service I need if I go into the office. How these ladies got these positions it is beyond me. The are completely unprofessional! The manager Samantha is a -----. She constantly interrupts you when you are talking, and acts as if she is better than everyone else. It is all an act, she is so fake. I have called the office on several occasions about my neighbors stomping on my head, but they do nothing. They say they are there to help resolve these issues but they never do. I will be moving when my lease expires in March, and would not recommend this complex to anyone. The prices are okay, and the apartments are okay, but the office staff is horrible. BEWARE!!!

                      Archstone are devils....

                      i'd lived there for FIVE yrs.. before Archstones ( DEVILS!!!! ) bought out Champions.. their methods of treating people is VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL!!!! in my last year lease.. they forced me to decide to LEAVE!!! when giving my 90 days letter for leaving.. i recieve a freakin BS letter attract to my door about "how they DIDNT recieve my letter and how i was going to be CHARGED another month of rent.." the manager there WOULDNT even discuss the matter with any intelligences or respect.. they reported to were telling other properties that i had interest in to renting.." that i ONLY lived there for a FREAKING YEAR AND I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS PAYING MY RENT!!!! " So with that i have filed a complaint against the "DEVILS" and their managers ... So stay clear of that price .. what happen to me can happen to ANY OF YOU OUT THERE...!!

                        Have lived here since early 09. We were a little scheptical from the ratings at first... Not anymore... Archstone takes care of everything. Great customer service from all employees. The place is very well taken care of. Any issue we have had or noticed has been handled very quickly. They even sent my son a B-Day Card on his 1st B-day. The neighbors are good overall. The pool is not filled with White Trash like we were scared of. Best property we have ever lived at. Would highly recommend to any of my friends. Remember it's ARCHSTONE...You cant go wrong.

                          Help Me

                          I just rented an apartment at Champion Park and now I'm a little worried after reading some of the reviews. I know some are old and things can change and I also know some people just need to vent and are angry. I am coming from an apartment that has gone down hill and the noise is horrible. I hope is anyone reads this I can get some honesty about the apartments. I just want to know that I made the right decision.

                            PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY DECISIONS!!!!!

                            Ok I have been sitting here reading all these reviews and I think these people are going above and beyond to make the apartments sound sooooo bad. They are not that bad. We have lived here since Sept. 2006 until now. I am not going to say that the apartments are pefect but Hey NOBODY IS PERFECT!!!! My worst complaint here is the people avove us. Yes you can hear them walking or running upsptairs but is that really the apartments fault? I talked to my neighbors and it's not bad anymore. The snow removal isn't the greatest but I do see them out there trying to remove the snow EVERY TIME it snows and the do it as fast as they can. I could see someone complaining about it if it took them a more than a day to remove it but it is usually cleaned up and the salt down by 11am. I think it's nice that we can pay rent online and don't have to worry about going to turn it in. we can do it on our own time. They also give you a few days grace period. As long as it is in the office before they open on the 4th it's not late. After that i am sorry but it's your own fault for not getting it in. EVERY TIME I have turned in a service request they have come that day to fix whatever was wrong. I have only had to turn in 7 service requests in almost 3 yrs of living here and 4 of those were just to change the air filters because i have bad allergies. They came to change them more often for me because I asked them to. I don't see how those other people have had sooo many problems here. The people in the office have always been nice to us. They always have cool stuff going on at the apartments and are very professional. Do yourself a favor and don't listen to ever one on here and go with your own decision. Most people who get on these things are just trying to complain about every little thing and nitpic on little stuff. they didn't get thier was so they are trying to get their aggressions out. I would reccomend Champions Park apartments to all my friends and family if they were looking for an apartment.

                              Wow you can't even trust corporate office

                              So I made a complaint to corporate about a manager that was totally out of line and completely unprofessional. She basically demeaned my roommate and I, had no respect and was completely unprofessional. She would interrupt us every time we talked. She acts like just because she owns the place and has a reason to kick someone out she thinks she can just treat the tenants like crap. So we took it up a notch and called corporate to file a complaint about her unprofessional employee to get her to stop what she was doing and what does corporate do? Corporate calls up the apartment and tells them that we had called after we made it perfectly clear to stay anonymous. I just can not believe how unprofessional these two "higher up" people were. First of all management, no matter how much power you have, you don't get the right to mistreat customers and be blatantly rude to them because you think you can. And second you corporate under no circumstances has the right to give your name out to the management after you made it clear that can not happen. This whole experience just wants to make me throw up because I can not believe that not only can I not trust the staff here but I can't trust Corporate office. I mean come one really? WTF?

                                Hate it here!!

                                We have been here for almost a year, and are forced to break lease. The ceilings and walls have no insulation, you can "hear" your neighbors breathing..let alone walking or little kids running upstairs. After complaing 6-10 times I took matters into my own hands. When the office found out, the property manager and leasing agents, said they had no record of us ever complaining. WHAT THE f**K?! the light fixtures shake when upstairs people are walking. the dryer sucks, microwave door is hard to shut/open. Pool area is dirty! Gym is crappy! agents are "fake" only nice when you sign your lease..then its hell! PLEASE PLEASE TALK TO PEOPLE THAT LIVE HERE BEFORE MOVING IN. MOST WILL SAY..STAY AWAY!

                                  Don't Rent at Champions Park!

                                  They have high turnover of leasing agents at this property. Most of the leasing agents have been friendly, however the leasing manager is the most unfriendly person. If you express concern about safety on the property, report that your car was broken into or theft, you get a blank stare and nothing is done. I suggested that they increase security and perhaps notify residents to be aware of the auto breakins but nothing was done. The management of this property could care less about tenant retention.

                                    This place is Terrible PLEASE DON'T MOVE HERE

                                    This apartment was very big and appeared to be nice. However all its cheap. Our door handles continually break and need to be replace, the shelves in the cabinet are bowing, our dryer sucks it takes like 3 runs to get clothes dry and the carpet is coming up on the edges because it was either poorly installed or just crappy carpet. The management team is really nice until you move in and then all they do is hassle you for stupid crap. THEY SUCK AT SNOW REMOVAL...I've slipped and fallen like 10 times.There is a mix of people living here, they are either rude snobby older people, ------ people or college kids. You pay a non-refundable deposit which apparently is just admin' fees and they will charge for the carpet which is funny.... because every person who moves out around us has there carpet replaced after they move, even the guys who lived there for like 3 months. Its funny that they do this and then charge people for carpet damage when they plan on replacing it. It sounds to me like they are greedy money grubbers who want to make this place seem nice but in reality its awful. Car break ins all the time, and my bike was stolen off our patio. DONT RENT HERE! I will make it my job to make sure no one i know rents here

                                        Let's be honest, someone will inevitably find fault EVERYWHERE! I lived there from late 06 to late 07. Our first weeks, we had 2 kitchen sink floods (from above us). Other than whomever lived above us (we were 1st floor) sounding like they were moving furniture morning noon and night, we didn't have many problems. Managment was okay, but Trey and Lisa are both overly professional and 'stiff' in my opinion. I made SURE they KNEW I wasn't new to apt living and that I had had to go to court twice before (and I've won) and, that I kept video and photos from DAY 1. I kept an ongoing diary of everything odd, as well as all my calls to mgmt.. I KNEW when I left I wouldn't be charged for anything I wasn't. (Lisa told me,quote, ". . If you turn your keys in, you are not allowed a walk through.." They don't DO walk thru's on the wknd, so apparently, NO ONE MOVES OUT on the wknd?? She needs a little review in the law herself.. I contacted an attorney) We moved out about 7 wks early and they immediately pulled up the carpeting, re painted, I watched. I always felt safe until our last wks there. Several different families moved in around bldgs 7 and 8, and I saw young men in darkened windowed cars halfway down and I THINK I saw a gun once brandished. That's when I decided to leave. I would rent again THERE before anywhere else to be honest. I think for the price, garages SHOULD be part of the rent, not additional charges..

                                          Be Careful About Deposits

                                          I lived in the 2bed 2bath apartment. I loved the apartment. It had a very high celing and the fixtures were all very nice. The grounds were nice also. The problem I found with the complex was the deposit agreement which I didn't understand at signing. My deposit was 700.00 and an additional 400.00 for my dog. A total of 1100.00 After I moved out the complex wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars for damage to the carpet which wasn't that bad. When I asked how much of my 1100.00 deposit was going towards this they told me that money was not a deposit but admin fees. I owed additional money for damages. So be careful when renting here because THERE IS NO DEPOSIT TAKEN FOR DAMAGES.

                                            BED BUGS!!!

                                            Spent $800.00 replacing bedroom furniture because "we didn't know where they came from" .Had 2 different dryers in our unit and both destroyed clothing. Took 6 months to replace it the first time. Don't know how long it will take to replace this one

                                              Waste of Money!! NOT luxury apts..

                                              Moved here from the east coast last year, the apartment we were promised was given to somebody else, upon paperwork sighning they raise our rent 50 month more than they first tols us also told us our move in deposit would be $300 that changed to $700 upon signing the lease.what a bunch of crooks!! The management here seems to be nice but the people they live here are total trash.. load music every day and night and dog crap everywhere. We got a notice the other day saying they would like us to renew our lease for another year but our rent will go up another 50 a month..$850 a month for a 1 bedroom in this complex is not worth it.If u like white trash and Mexcans..OH yeah, lots of them, then this is the place for u..

                                                Nice Property, good experience

                                                I lived in the complex only for a brief time in 2005 before being transferred with my job to California. I have to say that the time there was enjoyable. It was the only apartment complex that I have ever lived in that I really liked. I had a corner 2 bd/ 2 ba unit. Lots of windows, washer/dryer provided in the unit and a fireplace, I also like how the porches are set up so that you have an outside door. They were big on not having crap stacked on your patio, which they enforced strictly. I have a dog, and took her to the RxR track (defunct) area to walk her off property and never had an issue with dog poop from other dog owners near me. I did have a parking issue for which I promptly resolved myself. A neighbor in another building owned/operated a power washing and parking lot service type of business and saw fit to park his 6 wheel commercial trucks in front of my building and then walk 2 building away to his apartment. I called the number on the side of his truck and told him to move the heaps of crap to in front of his building. I would see a security patrol regularly patrolling the area by car and on foot. I did not see any safety or security issues. The one issue that absolutely irked the hell out of me was upon moving in It seems that the complex got the cable company to wire the building in exchange for have exclusive service rights for phone, internet and cable. This kind of defeats the purpose of deregulation (if you don t know what that is, Google it). They have a monopoly on the service, so you can t use a cheaper provider. Honestly had I known this when I signed the lease, I would not have moved in. I refused to get internet, cable or phone service I used my cell phone, got satellite TV, and used the internet at work. Other then the monopoly issue I loved the place. Management worked with me when it was time to get out early and I had to pay a minimal fee for breaking the lease. I can t say what has happened since I lived there, but that was my experience, take it for what it is worth.

                                                  It's too bad ...

                                                  Champions Park is a beautiful complex, and I love the layout and roominess of my apartment. But I have had nothing but trouble with management. They made a mistake with my move-in fees and expected me to pay an additional $100 about one month after I had moved in, and I have had nothing but trouble with almost all of my appliances and maintenance can't seem to get them fixed. This problem has cost me hundreds of dollars in ruined clothes from the dryer, and food having to be thrown away because the refrigerator doesn't work properly. Maintenance has been in my unit 4 times for the dryer and 3 times for the refrigerator, and now they refuse to look at them again because they've "already worked on them." Also, the management seems to love the "vibe" of having college-age residents. This age group in general has no sense of responsibility when it comes to taking pride in their home, for having consideration for their neighbors, for following the rules and regulations concerning noise, parking, pool rules, etc. There is always broken beer bottles all over the ground, trash everywhere like they don't know what a trash can is for, late night parties at the pool and volleyball courts, they invite dozens of friends to the pool who then park anywhere and everywhere with no consideration that residents would like to park in front of their own home, residents can't enjoy their own pool because of the numbers and volume of non-residents using our facilities. Management sends out reminders of the rules, but no one is around to enforce them. This complex is VERY expensive, and the amount we pay every month should ensure that we have a comfortable, relaxing home. I moved here because of the amenities, but I have yet to be able to enjoy ANY of them!
