Great place to live
I have lived here a few months and really enjoy it. Everyone in the office is very friendly and helpful. Any time you need something done it gets done, no questions asked! The complex is well kept and its great living in the heart of Buckhead.

Loud, rowdy tenants, ants and fire alarms
If you pine for your college days and yearn to live in a noisy frat house again then this is the place for you. <br><br>Had a major ant infestation. While waiting for pest control was told by the office to spray Windex, as ants hate Windex.<br><br>Loud groups of rowdy people partying at all hours in the halls and parking decks on weekends. Lots of empty beer bottles littered in the parking deck as well as fast-food containers. <br><br>Fire alarms keep going off. One month alarm went off 3 times, once allegedly because a tenant was grilling outdoors at 11:30 PM.<br><br>Depending on the side of the building on which you live, will hear traffic noise 24/7 from GA 400 or construction noise.<br><br>One month received three notices advising that apartments had been burglarized and/or cars stolen. Tenants were cautioned to be mindful of strangers in the complex, etc.<br><br>In addition to rent and water charges each month there will be mysterious charges such as "common area fees" and "administative fees." Tenants get a statement mailed each month advising what is owed, it's that confusing.<br><br>Bottom line: the floor plans are very nice, the staff try to be helpful, maintenance does respond to requests within two business days and the location is convenient to MARTA, etc. If you want to live in the heart of Buckhead and be where the action is, then rent at Post Stratford. However, the units are way overpriced for what you get not to mention the noise, the ants, safety issues.

Non-Stop False Alarms
I don't even live here but I have heard no less than 3 false alarms at Post Stratford in the last 6 months. This week they spent a full day 11am-5pm "testing the alarms" then last night what happens???? Another false alarm. It's is incredibly ridiculous how such a nice property can't get this worked out. If it wasn't for these false alarms I would recommend the place as a nice place to live.

Don't even think about living here.
I am a current resident here and have a countdown to the day my lease is up. I'll get straight to it- nothing but problems and no one does anything about them. Noisy is an understatement. We hear every step the people above us make, traffic and construction noise which is not stifled at all by the unsealed windows, and there is a reoccurring problem of the whole building's fire alarms going off in the early morning hours or late at night. Be prepared to pay $85 a month for water for a 2 person apartment (multiple residents have the same issue) and when you want answers, you get brushed off. There have been security issues with car break ins and sketchy people knocking on doors at night. We have had ant problems and plumbing issues. The workout facility has sound devices you are supposed to be able to plug into to watch tv, but these are usually broken and wires exposed and no one ever fixes them. This is the worst place I have ever lived and felt like people should be warned- I wish I would have been.

I just leased an apartment and am very impressed!
I recently visited Post Stratford and ended up leasing an aparment. I was warmly greeted and shown a loft in which I ended up leasing. I was impressed with the hardwoods of the loft and how close the parking is to my apartment. I am a little concerned of the break-ins I read about in previous ratings but I think that can happen anywhere.

WARNING: Visit Before You Buy
I saw this property online and it looked perfect. When I visited the property, I completed changed my mind in a matter of minutes.<br><br>For starters, the day I visited it was freezing cold outside and raining. The office staff kept the door locked, watching people stand in the freezing rain until it was the exact time to open the office, instead of being kind to let people stand inside. That's the beginning. When they finally decided to open up, the staff gave looks as though they've been inconvenienced and bothered. There was no warm greeting, not as much as a decent Hello, just a look like "What do you want?"<br><br>This experience leads me to believe the other people who say management is terrible. Their not even polite and kind when trying to sell. God forbid you have an issue. I would not want to live at a place under those conditions.<br><br>Aside from that, the property is not secured well. Anyone can walk onto the property through the parking deck after a resident opens the gate and drives through. That person can then easily walk up the stairs and be right at your door. I understand how so many cars are being broken into. Their parking deck is a great place to conceal crime - dark, no windows, nothing to deter.<br><br>I did like the loft apartments, and the location cant be beat depending on what youre looking for. But I would take a great manager over frilly amenities any door.<br><br>And they are not ead\sy to work withb <br><br>n.I got the sense t

Do not live here
Lived here for 4 months and moved out.. mold problems ants non stop, noisy, dog poop all over the place, break in to cars and apartments were very common.. did not feel safe leaving my wife alone and the management team at this facility is very inexperienced and rude. For the money you pay to live here, it should of been a better experience.

Not worth it.
You certainly pay for the location and the place is obviously attractive, but that's it. Don't be fooled by the "secure parking." My car was broken into twice in less than a year. While this is obviously my fault (sarcasm), Post Stratford has done nothing to try and prevent theft. No cameras IN the parking garage, no patrol... Car alarms are a must - and remove your head unit, all CD's, don't leave anything in your car. And the other thing: ANTS. In your shower, in your bed (gross!!!!!!!!), in your pantry (all over the walls and in your food), on your couch, marching across the dinner table... Don't think that pest control will get rid of them. They came out 4 different times and they still took over. Spend your own money on ant traps. Better yet, don't move there :)

Great area, but lots of break-ins and ants
The location can't be beat.. however my roommates car has been broken into twice since we have lived there this past year. We have had several ant infestations throughout our apartment. The tv and audio hookups in the work out room do not coincide. Our rent has increase $100 since last year... If you have a car alarm and don't mind ants then you'll be fine! The management is usually helpful.

Living at Stratford
I have been here since November 2005. I am very happy and comfortable living here. I absolutely adore my loft, it is so different than what i've been living in. I come to the leasing office alot because I have tons of packages being delivered for my work. I'm always greeted by someone and they always offer my dog a treat. They even offered to deliver my package to my apartment when I couldn't make it in time from work. <br><br>I have lived in many, many apartments overtime and this by far is one of the best places and locations. I understand the pain in having your car broken into as I saw from other reviews as my car was broken into at Target and there is actually a security guard that rides around there patrolling the place. It happens anywhere you go and sometimes in the most "secured" places. <br><br>I do hear my neighbors every now and then but this is apartment living so I expect that. <br><br>This is a great place to live if you are wanting a cool apartment with the convenience of a great location (I love walking to the mall :) ).

Love it so far!
I don't know if it's just my location, but we have never heard another neighbor! (top floor on the end) So while i'm sure the other complaints about noise are valid, be sure if you move her to check out the exact unit and live on the 4th floor. We had a few maintenance issues and I called the office with maintenance coming within 24 hours. There's always ample room in the parking deck, I love my view, the hardwoods are nice and so far everything's up to par. I only wish they offered washer/dryers and ceiling fans, had more computers in their resident office, and put the cable outlets against the walls instead of in the middle of the room on the floor! But, what are you gonna do?

Beware the giant rent increases....
Great apartment, positive experience. Wish I could stay but they get you in on a special and then after a year your rent skyrockets...some will stay because it's inconvenient to move but some of us have to leave. My guess is this what creates so much resident turnover. It seems there is a moving truck there every day. You'd think they'd want their best residents to stay.

Great Product/Good Management
I have lived at Post Stratford for two years and have enjoyed the great location Post Stratford has to offer. I walk to my office and enjoy visiting the restaurants, pubs and shops that are a stones throw away. The property management team has been helpful and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend Post Stratford to anyone looking for a beautiful product in a great location

Beware....security sucks
Nice clean apartments, somewhat helpful managament staff (when they've taken their meds), and good location. Beware that security absolutely sucks there and they take no accountability or proactive measures to promote the safety of their residents or their residents personal property. Ive heard of numerous car thefts and have seen cars on blocks in the morning missing parts. they have security cameras but apparently they are as useless as a jet ski in the desert. Ill recommend this place if Marta is your only mode of transportation...because if you move there it may well become.

new resident's opinion
i've just recently moved into the complex but so far so good. for the area, or for any area in atlanta, we got a really good deal on a 2 bedroom and the apt is large. in fact one of the bedrooms is probably the largest i've seen in a 2 bedroom apt.<br><br>the grounds are kept up and i have often seen a cleaning crew around the place.<br><br>the office staff is really helpfull and have a really good attitude about their job even with questions i've had after signing the lease.<br><br>the only complaint i would have is the noise level from the apartment upstairs. judging by my apt's flooring i can understand why; its pretty thin, the carpeting isnt that standard apartment shag (thankfully) and its loud when you walk around with shoes on. but thats just a small complaint and to be honest if i had to choose between the foot traffic noise and not having that tan shag carpet, i'll go with this minimal noise. other then that there isnt a noise problem from loud music etc as i think most everyone that lives here is considerate of their neighbors. <br><br>the pool area is really a nice large area and from what i've seen so far, not crowded. theres a multi level parking area and i would estimate 30-40 parking spaces for guests on the ground level. <br><br>i only wish i would have moved in here sooner because its that nice. i would have never of even looked at this place as i thought it would be out of my price range. to be honest though, i am hoping that they limit how low they go on the prices of the apartments.

Who gives an apartment complex all 5's?!? I think the staff might be trying to improve their ratings...

I will be renewing my lease!!
I have lived at this complex for one year now and have really no complaints. One of the reasons I chose this place was of course the location, but also the modern look it has on the inside. The maintenance guy is very nice and fixes things quickly. I enjoy using the pool and fitness center as they are kept up very well.

Fantastic Leasing Staff
I have lived at Post Stratford for two years now and have found the staff to be wonderfully helpful and professional. It is interesting to read some of the previous reviews.....usually the angry folks are the ones that I'm sure paid rent late or caused issues on site. Trust me...the staff is the best there is!!!!

I have to agree with the two previous comments regarding the office staff. There The short, blonde girl with straight hair acted in a particularly unprofessional manner. The other two are fine. The maintenence men are dedicated to their jobs and very helpful. The location, parking, and gym are great. Overall, I miss it.

A Great Place To Live
I moved into Post Stratford in 2002 and have loved every minute. The grounds are beautiful (like living in a garden estate), the leasing team is very accomodating and respectful. I would highly recommend Post Stratford to anyone looking for a new home in Buckhead.

Beautiful Grounds, Very well maintained...
I really appreciate the effort that Post gives to keeping this property clean. From the pool to the grills & fitness center, everything looks great! My wife and I just got married and the leasing staff helped deliver most of our gifts to our apartment which I thought was above the call of duty. <br> <br>I have lived in two different apartments here and both times I had to move (lost a roommate & got married) the leasing staff helped make it a smooth transition. <br> <br>I definitly agree that the price is good for the location, but lets not forget the people who keep this property in good shape. <br>

RUDE Management, but great location
We got a decent price on a 2 bdrm, but the construction next door is SO LOUD! The maintenance staff is great, but the office staff is SO DEMEANING! The grounds are beautiful and the parking okay. You just cannot beat the location for the price.

Enjoyed my stay...
The best thing about my apartment were the hardwood floors. I had a very open loft that I was able to have a lot of fun decorating. The grounds are clean and the maintenance guy does a great job. I enjoyed my neighbors and made some good friends at the pool. If you are looking for a unique apartment with hardwoods, this is the place. <br>
