Post stratford is a great community, in a great location and at a great price point for the area. I have really enjoyed living here and would highly recommend to anyone moving to Atlanta! The staff is very helpful and packages pick up is a breeze.

Great location for access to Marta, restaurants and shops. Complex is very well kept and in the process of being repainted inside and out. Office and maintenance staff are all friendly and helpful. Rent compared well to other places we looked at when we first moved in.

This is a great apartment complex in Buckhead. You can walk to pretty much anything you will need - grocery stores, many restaurants, salon, mall, movies, etc. Being 0.1miles from the Buckhead MARTA station is awesome.

This is a solid community in the heart of Buckhead. Walkable neighborhood, beautiful landscaping, walking distance to Buckhead MARTA. Apartments are in good shape but some could use renovating. Staff is extremely friendly. Overall very satisfied with my two years and counting at Post Stratford.

I love my apartment. I think the rent is fair, certainly for the marketplace. The staff at the main office is very friendly and super helpful. The maintenance and grounds folks are always quick to clean up, fix any issue and keep the property clean and orderly. I'm really happy to liver here. Easy access for residents and their friends to come visit with plenty of deck parking. I will certainly renew, but I hope they don't raise my rent too much.

I've been living here over a year now and I'm very satisfied with the apartment. Building in good condition and kept up. Good layout, sunlight access (this may depend on the unit), noise isolation. Residents are mostly quiet, occasionally there may be some late night activity due to people returning from a party. Neighbors upstairs, unfortunately, can be heard. Any and all kind of problem was resolved quickly with a maintenance request. Access to Buckhead and there's a direct bridge to MARTA. For my unit, there's a large elevator that made moving in to a higher floor fairly straightforward. Pet friendly, but owning a pet incurs quite a few fees. The laundry area just barely fits full size laundry machines, so compact ones may be preferable. Can't comment on traffic as I do not drive to work, but haven't really had issues in the morning. Fairly heavy traffic around 4/5/6 PM in Buckhead in general.

If you like to live next to students who party all night long, a management that doesn't care about it, than this is the place for you. In addition to this, you will have lots of noise from the construction site.

Stay away if you care about your property !!!! We have had several break-ins recently, which doesn't surprise me. Tenants are very often students which questionable background. Gates very often don't work and basically everybody can get in.

Don't move here you will never get any sleep due to the constant construction of a skyscraper that won't be finished for at least another year , and you cannot get in or out of your apt due to the high volume of construction vehicles !!!! Absolutely insane !

Unbeatable location right next to the new Buckhead Marta station drop-in. The staff always provides excellent service. Victor is one of the best maintenance professionals in the industry. The rents are still a good value considering all of the new development in the area.

Every thing is great here ( clean, safety, maintenance, location) except for the high prices that keeps going up each time you renew your lease. Also, it is noisy because of the construction nearby. If you don't mind paying almost 2000$ for a 2-bedroom apt then this is the perfect choice for you. Also, the dryer washer is not included in the apartment but u can rent ones and have them installed. For MARTA riders, this complex is less than 1 min to the MARTA station. great staff in the office. I love it hear but I have to move because I can not afford the rate anymore.

Awesome unique apartments with cool features hard to find in buckhead. The gym is so nice and is never crowded. The parking deck makes brining groceries or anything else so easy plus you have covered parking. Walking distance to Marta so perfect to avoid the unavoidable traffic on peachtree. The office start is so responsive I usually get an email back within an hour and maintence is top notch. Our AC stopped working in the middle of the night and was fixed the same night. Being able to pay your rent and put in maintence requests on your phone is such a great idea! I know every person in the offices name ( Angela, Melanie, and Ross) and they all know me and my 2 roommates by first name. They made the leasing process a breeze and were so help on moving day when my u haul didn't fit in the deck. I couldn't ask for a better place to live

I HAVE LIVED HERE FOR 2 YEARS AND HAD WANTED TO CONTINUE LIVING HERE UP UNTIL WHEN I WAS GIVING AN OUTRAGEOUS RENTAL INCREASE! AS AN EXCELLENT TENANT THAT HAS NEVER HAD COMPLAINTS AND PAYS RENT ON TIME ,I WOULD HAVE AT LEAST APPRECIATED A REASONING BEHIND SUCH AN INCREASE. MAYBE IF I WAS ISSUSED A NEW STOVE OR FRIDGE (DUE TO MINE BEING OLD AND OUTDATED) I WOULD HALF WAY UNDERSTAND THE INCREASE. ON TOP OF THE INSANE INCREASE THE PEOPLE, THAT WORK HERE SEEM TO NOT BE QUALIFIED TO DO THEIR JOBS. VICTOR (THE "MAINTENANCE GUY"),SEEMS TO NOT HAVE A CLUE TO WHAT HE IS DOING!I ASKED FOR AN AIR FILTER TO BE REPLACED AND THAT TASK SEEMED TO BE TOO DIFFICULT FOR HIM BECAUSE ONCE HE LEFT(AND ALSO LEFT THE A/C CLOSET UNLOCKED) I NOTICED THAT THE FILTER HE PUT IN WAS NOT THE CORRECT SIZE! (IT WAS TOO LARGE FOR THE SPACE SO HE FOLDED THE FILTER IN HALF!) UNBELIEVABLE! NOT TO MENTION THAT WHEN I MOVED INTO MY APARTMENT MY DISPOSAL DID NOT WORK,HAD SEVERAL DOOR BUMPS MISSING,TUB DRAIN WAS CLOGGED AND 2 LIGHTS OUT!! IF VICTOR WOULD SPEND MORE TIME IN THESE APTS. DOING HIS JOB RATHER THAN STANDING OUTSIDE HIS TOOL SHOP SMOKING 2-3 CIGARETTES BACK TO BACK OR TINKERING AROUND WITH HIS VEHICLE THEN MAYBE THIS PLACE WOULD RUN A LITTLE SMOOTHER! THE GROUNDSPERSON-CARLOS IS SO POLITE,ALWAYS SPEAKS AND IS ALWAYS SMILING! I HAVE NEVER SAW SUCH A HARD WORKING GUY IN ALL MY LIFE. IF ITS RAINING HES OUT THERE,IF ITS SNOWING HES OUT THERE AND WHEN THE TEMPS REACH 100 HES OUT THERE WITH THAT WONDERFUL SMILE ON HIS FACE! BECAUSE OF HIM THE GROUNDS AND BUILDGING INTERIORS LOOK GREAT!!! SOMEONE NEEDS TO GIVE THIS GUY A PERCENTAGE OF THESE RENTAL INCREASES YOU ALL ARE TAKING FROM US!! SOME OF THE STAFF NEEDS TO SIT WITH THIS GUY AND LEARN HOW TO PUT IN AN HONEST DAYS WORK!(VICTOR) OK ON TO THE OFFICE STAFF: MY ONLY COMMENT THAT I WILL MAKE ABOUT THE OFFICE STAFF(BECAUSE IF I MAKE MORE THAN THIS ONE IM SURE IT CAN NOT BE POSTED ON THIS SITE BECAUSE IT WILL NOT BE A NICE) WILL BE THAT YOU ALL NEED TO BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY WHILE ENJOYING YOUR LUNCH IN THE BREAKROOM BECAUSE AS I HAVE BEEN WORKING IN THE COMPUTER ROOM I HAVE OVERHEARD SEVERAL LOUD CONVERSATIONS THAT YOU ALL HAVE HAD IN THERE....SOME ARE NOT VERY NICE TO HEAR AS WELL AS SOME CAN BE PERCEIVED AS BEING RACIST.SO WATCH WHAT YOU SAY BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHOS LISTENING. I WILL ALSO BE BRINGING THIS TO THE ATTENTION TO THE PROPER PERSONNEL. SO WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID...I DO NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE DUE TO THE UNPROFFESSIONAL STAFF AND HIGH RENEWAL INCREASES. YOU CAN FIND A MUCH NICER APT WITH LOWER RENTS WITHIN WALKING DISTANE OF THIS PLACE.

25% rent increase !
I have been leaving in post for almost a year and when I had to renew my rent, they proposed a 25% increase for a 1 bedroom ! I compared to other buildings in Buckhead and Lindberg and realized I could easily find much cheaper than this for a better apartment. (bigger and newer) Overall Post Stratford is a nice place to be : well located, very quiet and safe. Staff is nice, repairs are done quickly. However, it cannot be considered as a luxury apartment complex as the appliance are a little old and of cheap quality. There is no woodfloor. I experienced the unexpected visit of several cockroach (about 1/month as an average) and ant once. Despite the pest control checks (you can ask for your apt beeing sprayed every monday for free), they would come back. Except the pool and the gym, there is no other amenities (few events are organized :one or 2/year) I didn't want to leave this place, but 25% price increase is really not acceptable and not justified for what you get(compared to other buildings in the area) cockroach. So I will have to move out.

Great place for Young Professional
I have lived here for almost a year now and have never regretted my decision. The location is great as I walked to work, the mall, restaurants, and bars. Stratford road is nice and off of a main Atlanta road. The complex has great parking, especially for guests. The pool, gym, grilling areas, and garden are awesome features. The apartments are in good condition. The walls can be a little thin but I can't imagine they would be any better at other complexes. The staff has been great from leasing to maintenance (less than 24 hour turnaround). If you have a dog there is a little park across the street. I would say that most people under 30 and single but I've seen a couple families. No real big complaints here.

Move here if you can afford it!
I have lived at Post Stratford for about a year and a half and am only moving because I'm leaving Atlanta. Overall, I would highly recommend Post Stratford, I have enjoyed living here and it is hands down the best apartment complex I have ever lived in. I'm not sure what construction on Stratford was referenced by the other reviewer because my apartment faces Stratford and I haven't seen any. Pros: -Great location! You can walk to MARTA in 5 minutes and are in walking distance to Phipps, Lenox, grocery stores, and restaurants. There's also a park across the street that is great if you have a dog. -Great floor plans. I live in a loft-style unit but they also offer more traditional apartments. -Maintenance. I provided a list of issues the day I moved in and they were fixed the next day. Whenever I have had an issue, which has been extremely rare, it is fixed the next day and the staff person leaves a note with their photograph saying what they fixed! This is a great security measure. -Constant improvements. I have never seen a complex maintain and upgrade their complex as frequently as Post Stratford. Since living here they are redone the pool, redone the fire security system, painted, replaced windows, and are currently working on the parking garage. -Communication. The office staff is great about letting us know what's going on and how it affects us. They leave notices on doors and respond quickly to e-mails. Post also does a survey of residents and a complaint that I put on there was actually rectified! -Cleanliness and Landscaping. The landscaping at Post Stratford is ridiculously nice and well maintained, especially in the main courtyard. Staff regularly cleans the hallways and common areas as well. -Security. I have never seen a gate broken at Post Stratford. The only security issue is residents propping open gates. There were car break-ins in the visitor parking area (unsecured) back when all of Buckhead was experiencing break-ins, but if you park in the secured area this isn't an issue. I regularly walk my dog at night and have never felt unsafe. -Urban Vegetable Garden. This is a great feature that Post offers at some of its communities. Not only do you get your own plot of land to garden in, but they also provide FREE plants at the beginning of each growing season. Cons: -Stratford Road. They finally put up signs so that people couldn't park on Stratford, but this doesn't stop idiots at Post and Paramount from parking out front all the time with their flashers on. This can be dangerous when people speed down the road but the cops seem to be cracking down on it. -Price. The rental market is booming right now since no one can afford to buy a home so really, Post can charge whatever they want. The prices are comparable to other complexes in the area but it's still expensive overall. When my lease was up they only increased the rent $60 but I went month-to-month for a higher price. I do think you get what you pay but understand that this is BUCKHEAD. Feel free to leave a comment if you have any question about the community.

Nice apartment and complex
I've lived in Post Stratford for a year now and though I'm moving out, it's been a nice experience. For the price and location it seems to be a great deal. I'm moving to the Midtown area and am having trouble finding any comparable apartments for anything close to the rent I paid at Post Stratford. The only major downside is the construction that is happening on Peachtree can be quite noisy if your unit is facing Stratford Rd. There is also an alarm from a parking deck across the street that has gone off in the middle of the night several times, though both of those things seem to be out of the complex's control. The pool and gym are nice and the leasing office has been very friendly to us as well. To my knowledge there has only been 2-3 car break ins since I've lived here and I've felt relatively safe considering it's in one of the busiest parts of the city. The convenience to Marta is a big plus as well - close enough to walk, but not too close that you feel uncomfortable. The complex is worth living in if you want to be in the Buckhead area - the only reason I'm moving is to be in Midtown.

Rip-off, rude associates, DO NOT MOVE IN HERE
Pros: Good Location Cons: They increase your rent HUNDREDS of dollars after your first year. It's crazy. * The leasing agents are rude and unhelpful. -------------- is dumb as rocks. * There are constant break-ins and construction on the apartment and on Stratford Rd. * Traffic just to get out of the apartment is pretty painful. * Walls are thin, can hear everything from loud neighbors. * The water is gross. It gunks up on the faucets and shower heads in brown chunks and leaves a rim around toilets. Don't even think about drinking it.

Great place to live!
I recently had to move due to unforeseen circumstances, but I miss this place! It is a wonderful place to live and the property in general is kept up very well. It's a huge departure from the business of Peachtree St. Once you turn on Stratford Rd, it feels like you're in an entirely different community. The leasing staff were always helpful and quick to fix any issues I had with the place. I love the parking deck and how you can basically park right next to where you live. If there is one thing about this place that resounds, it is that it is extremely convenient! There are tons of shops around, so you'll never have to go more than a mile for food, gas, shopping, gym, etc. It was a great experience living here for the 5 months that I did.

Wonderful Property
I have lived in Post Stratford for three years and continue to rave about the property. Aside from the perks of its location in central Buckhead, the leasing staff are friendly and helpful whenever needed. Any question...and they are there. They will also take the time to walk you through questions about your lease, renewal, policies, etc. The guest apartment amenity is fabulous and my friends and family have taken advantage of it numerous times. One of the highlights of the property is its maintanence staff. Their professionalism, helpfulness, and rapid response time, even to the smallest of troubles, is second-to-none. The upkeep of the property is consistent, lease renewal prices are fair, and the staff are there to help. Post Stratford is the top option in central Buckhead. I walk to MARTA every day, I park safely and securely in the locked garage on the property, I walk to top-rated restaurants and shopping...great living. Highly recommended.

I loved it!!!! too bad they raised the price so much!!!!!!!
Well let me start off by saying I don't understand why so many people have complained. I honestly believe anyone who is complaining is probably someone who was evicted. Its hard to get an honest assessment from this site because all you hear is the negatives but very little about the positive. Well here is my take. The apt itself, beautiful clean well maintained and good quality. I've read on here a few people have had ant problems, i've never seen one bug here, not even those big water bugs that come up the drains in the tubs which atlanta is famous for. Now I lived on the 3rd floor while I stayed here so maybe thats why i never seen the ant problem, my only suggest is don't take any apts on the terrace level. The pool is beautiful and goregeous. It looks like its made for a hotel resort and thats how people treat it. You will see more people outside tanning than actually in the pool. They keep it very clean also. The people who live here are great and friendly. I would say this is probably an ideal place for upper class man college student or young professional. During the 4th of July there was a hugh bbq down by the pool and i believe almost everyone who lived here was down there. It was extremely nice. I personally have never experienced any type of security issues. I have received notifications twice about them while i stayed there but never once did i personally have a problem. the office staff is wonderful. i don't know how anyone can complain about them. in fact the girl who leased me the apt knows me on a first name basis whenever i happen to stop by and always stricts up a conversation and is really nice. i know some people say they have had hard times while if so i recommend speaking to michelle when you go in there. there is plenty of parking space so you will never have to worry about that. now here's my negative aspects, and for me the good out way the bad but you will have to decide for yourself. they advertise a clubhouse here but its been closed down the entire year i lived here. I would really like a nice club house with like maybe a billiard table or something. i mean they have one there is just nothing in it right now. price increase is horrible. we got our apt for 1213 in 2007. its 1200 sq ft. we were amazed at the price ourself for the area. however, when the lease renewal came around the price increase went from 1213 to 1500. now thats an isane increase. one thing i would say to any prospectives, if you plan on leaving here long to be read to see a price hike after your first year. the biggest problem for me though was the construction. they just finished a new condo at the corner of the block and then we got a letter in saying that another one directly across the street is about to break ground and wont be done till late 2009. the block the complex is on is a very narrow and small one right off peachtree st and traffic can easily get backed up and have you waiting about 10/15 minutes just to make it to a corner that you can literally walk to in about 2 mins. however buckhead has construction going on almost everywhere right now so if you want the buckhead area i'm guessing this is really not that big of a problem for you. overall i would definately reccommend this complex to anyone, but if you like quiet and serenity during the day don't expect it here until the end of 2009. if the construction wasn't going on and the price increase wasn't that high i would definately stay, i loved it here and have no regrets. so thats my honest and thorough opinion of the place i hope that helps anybody in making a decision about wheather or not stay here!

Moving. But not because I want to.
A two year resident and then... Rent shot up out of my price range. They were not willing to work with me at all. That's fine. I understand. For some reason I sympathize with these leasing companies especially because of websites like this. People only take time to write a bad review and not a good one. Well here is a middle of the road review. Office staff was always nice and helpful. Even if I just sent them an email asking them for something. Packages were always there and I believe it is my responsibility to know when there is a package down there. But it would be nice to receive a call or email that there is a package at the office. Yes I would get some ants. Not really a big problem. Get some ant hotels and call the office and tell them to send up an exterminator. I've had break-in attempts on my car twice, one for sure happened here, the other might have. But I think no matter what they do people can get into the garage. I've heard of apt break-ins but thankfully haven't experienced them. One good thing about the property is the variety of floor plans. It's hard to find something unique in an apartment rental around here. All my neighbors seem nice. I probably would be staying if my rent hike wasn't so much. I expect a rent hike every year but I didn't really expect that much. It surprises me that they would rather lose a great tenant for the expense of finding another potentially not so great one over a couple of hundred dollars. I will post an update after my move out to conclude my review...

I HATE POST STRATFORD!!!
I used to live at another Post property in Texas, and they were great! So I thought the Post Properties out here would be great too! I was wrong. From day one the place sucked!!!! The office person was so rude when we walked in to get our keys and sign the papers. We just got done driving 8 Hours to get there before they closed on Saturday (since we had to get there before Sunday, when they are closed). She acted as if we were taking up her time. Come to find out it was her last day and she was moving to corporate. She now does the claims for money owed after moving out, which is another story. So we walk into our apartment for the first time and find the floors dirty, a broken window, a dirty bathroom, outlets that didn't work, closet shelves that were on their last leg, and a couple other things that made it obvious that a manager didn't do a walk through. We lived there for 5 months before breaking our lease. Every time we talked to someone in the front office they treated us like we were peons! WTF!, you're the ones working at an apartment complex! Ants: Post Stratford has a big ant problem!!!! I came home from work one day and our place was invested with ants. It was ridiculous! I called the office to have someone come out. Nope, I had to wait a week before they'd have someone come out. I had to call to have someone come out myself and clean up. Packages: We had a package delivered, that we never knew we had for 3 months because we weren't notified. They told us it was our job to come to the office and check everyday. (Even if we're not expecting anything) What the office does is allow the delivery drives to just drop off packages at the office, rather than try and deliver them. That being said, the delivery drivers don't put notes on your doors. The complex is too confusing for them! I asked the new girl that replaced the girl that went to corporate 'what do you do all day that you can't notify us when we have a package?' I asked that because every time I went to the office they were always chit chatting! Her response was that I needed to check more frequently for packages. The package that we received three months was a time sensitive item! Move out: We ended up getting charged for stove pans when we moved out. They sent us a bill with no due date (so I assumed the 1st would be sufficient). Then sent us a late bill, a week later. (How I found out the B from the first day was now working in claims) Who charges for stove pans? I've lived in several apartments, and never been charged for anything. Final Note: I wrote letters to the corporate office, no responses. They just don't care. Summary: I will never live in a Post Property again!

DO NOT LIVE HERE
I've been living here for just about 2 years and can't wait to get out. The office staff, especially -------- ------ is highly incompetent and cannot deal with renters appropriately. It is extremely loud outside, especially with not one, but two construction sites right outside the complex. They both work on Saturdays, so you will be awakened every weekday morning at 6am and weekend morning at 7am...sometimes, they even work overnight pouring concrete/cement. There are a lot of pet owners here that leave pet feces outside the apartment. There are cracks in the foundation, so there are a lot of ants and I have even had 2 large cockroaches in my 3rd floor apartment in the past week. It is an unsafe complex - there have been multiple breakins in our parking lot recently. The gates outside are also left open frequently so anyone can come in - lately, since it has been cold in the morning, some of the gates do not even close behind you unless you press them shut. Also, the walls are incredibly thin - I can hear my neighbours telephone conversations through the wall. The ONLY good thing about this apartment is the convenient location to my office - however, now that my lease is about up, I am moving as fast as I can. I recently got my renewal papers - the rent has increased approximately 15%!! So, unless you want to deal with incompetent management staff(I have sent multiple emails that have not been answered in over 2 weeks), dirty exterior, high noise levels and on top of that extraordinarily increasing rent prices, DO NOT LIVE HERE!
