Maintenance is terrible. Buildings are run down and falling apart. No elevator for 3 years. Apartments themselves are not terrible but also not crazy super nice. Rent is cheaper than just about anywhere but you get what you pay for. Surrounding area is super nice and everything you need is so close by.

The apartment office is very helpful whenever we need them. The neighbors and area is quiet and we have had very few problems while living here. We would recommend the complex to any of our friends who may be in need of a place.

I have had an excellent experience at Fountain Lakes apartment homes. The community is quiet and peaceful. I enjoy sitting on my patio and looking out at the lake in my down time. Very relaxing! The staff has always been friendly and helpful whenever I have seen them out on the property or if I've had an issue. The few issues I have had, maintenance has taken care of them in a timely manner.

Founrtain Lake is the best price/quality ratio you can get in Fort Wayne. It's a good balance of affordable rent while still being in a decent looking and safe area. The buildings are a bit on the old side, but the current mgmt is making a noticeable effort to continually improve the property. My biggest complaint is the laundry facilities. On one hand, having laundry in the basement is a nice convenience, so you hate to complain, but in the year I've been here, I found the washers and dryers break down or steal your money a lot. You have to pay with quarters and there is no change machine. Noise level is pretty okay. There is one neighbor with a dog that barks sometimes and another neighbor with kids that sometimes run screaming down the hallway, but it's mostly quiet enough.

So far it's been good. The entire first year I lived here the pool was never opened but we got new management and they opened the pool. The elevator in my building has been out for over a year unfortunately and the basement smells a little musty. But it's a quiet area and I haven't experienced any crime or safety threats. I really enjoy that the units are accessed from secured entries

Well it's not very nice... The parking lot has giant holes in it, the carpet in the apartment building is very nasty looking, the parking lot lights don't work on the side of the street or in a parking lot area, had to park in a different parking area just to feel safe.

Very friendly and knowledgeable landlord and maintenance team. However, the hallways and laundry rooms need to be taken care of. Dirty Dallas and carpets in the hallways. Old and dusty laundry rooms. Two out of 4 dryers are out of order.

I have had a lot of issues with my apartment. The front office is often unresponsive unless I physically go to the building. Maintenance does not fix things unless I ask multiple times. It takes months for repairs to be done.

It's a wonderful place to live. I would love to have a hot tub in my apartment. I would love to have a weight room somewhere. A dog park would be wonderful. A maid would be awesome. Preferably blonde. A small ski boat would be wonderful.

Moved in and the elevator in our building is out of order (word on the street, it's been out of order for over a year now). 2/4 driers in the laundry room have been out of order for over a month as well.

It has been satisfactory at best. The biggest issue is that management gives minimal attention to this property. Maintenance is subpar. The size of the apartment is the best thing. Just wish washer & dryer were in the units

For the price—-the units themselves are not bad at all. I actually really like the layout and design. We have never feared for our lives or been seriously threatened here. So it’s better than some complexes in Fort Wayne ig. But guys—-the SMELL. The hallways reek of ----, cigarettes, and weed. So much so that me and my hubs smell like smoke and we are both non smokers. That’s pretty bad. We both have professional jobs also and it makes us look bad. Maintenance doesn’t give a ----. In fact they are the ones smoking inside all the freaking time. They come in your units with no notice. Maintenance has also thrown furnature off of the second/third floor balconies with no warning. It was hysterical because we just saw shelves and other furniture falling from the sky and onto the yard. One time my car overheated and I had to call a tow truck to get it towed to my apartment. While I’m at work, I get three missed calls from the tow truck manager. She called to tell me her employees were harassed by the property manager and she would not stop. I had to apologize for the property manager. Packages get lost or stolen. The laundry machines are in the basement and they never work and they only take quarters. Idk man—-it’s not horrific, but it’s definitely not great. If it’s an emergency fountain lake is sufficient. But you’re better off elsewhere if you can.

We've had a great experience and have enjoyed living there very much. We feel safe and any issues we have had have been taken care of. The only drawback is we do not have laundry machines in the unit, but at least it is in the building.

The office is poor at communicating with the tenants, you have to call multiple times and leave multiple voicemails to maybe get a call back. High rent for a complex with no amenities other than a pool that's hardly open. Windows leak when it rains, unclean hallways and exterior. You pay for laundry which is normally fine but washer/dryers are almost always broken and are super small so you pay a lot to get a little bit of laundry done. You're better off going to the laundromat. People steal packages and the office can't do anything since they don't have cameras.

There are many things to complain about. The filthy hallways, the broken filthy washer and dryers, and filthy basement which floods every time it rains. But by far the worst I've personally experienced is the smoke free policy. Nicotine and pot odors are routinely in our private living space and we don't smoke whatsoever and never have. No idea why the management still has this policy. Most likely it's for the maintenance staff, who are routinely seen around the complex with cigarettes dangling from their lips. They all smoke like chimneys everywhere they go and they smell like em too. Seriously I've maybe seen 2 maintenance people who weren't smoking. The rest are ALWAYS smoking. Smoke ruins the walls and carpets of apartments and it's absurd and wrong that me and my spouse have to breath second-hand smoke. I've asked management in the past to do something about these unhealthy odors wafting into my personal living space but they refuse to do anything about and refer to the smoke free policy. If they continue to keep this policy I will either switch units or simply move out. Another common problem that I've heard multiple people complain about and personally experienced as well is maintenance will enter your apartment without notice and without even knocking sometimes. No notice just simply unlocking the door and walking in. I've personally woken up in the working and found maintenance in my apartment just causally working on a request. They entered without my notice while I was asleep. For the price of a two bedroom around here this is as good as it gets. But eventually rent will be raised and at the point these apartments will no longer be worth it.

Form the outside it's great but after talking to the residents and living here I don't honestly think I'd recommend It. The pool wasn't open till a month after they said. The basement has flooded numerous times and causes the building to smell like mold. They have cameras but if your car is broken into "semi often" they wil act like it's something new? talked to some neighbors abut 3 cars a month get ransacked

Building is filthy. Stained smelly carpets, dirt build up on windows, doors, and base boards, side doors dont open or shut correctly. Elevator is sketchy to use, the door sometimes wont open once it gets to the floor you want to get off at and starts to smell like burning rubber after multiple uses. Neighbors are always loud and smoke weed. Constantly slamming doors and stomping up/down stairs in the middle of the night waking everyone up. Then they idle in the parking lot early in the morning blaring music. You can hear every thing they are talking about through the walls/vents and smell whatever they do. Dogs constantly barking at all hours. Laundry machines don't function properly or are broken. Only accept change and are small for the price you're paying. Then unless you stay down there for the 2 hours it takes to do one small load, someone takes your clothes out of the machine and throws yours on the floor. Plumbing backups and sewage smells are nauseating. Had to switch units due to the sewer pipe below our old unit on ground level being broken. Plumbing companies come to clear out blockages and then leave the debris all over the entry way and parking lot to the building. People parking their cars in the do not park zones in front of the buildings all over the weekend leaving little room to get around. Units have multiple issues, outlets that dont work, cabinets not set or installed properly, carpet not tucked properly, nail pops under vinyl plank. Change in apartment management without a notice of who is there with a photo is annoying.

The one year that I've been here had been really great. At the beginning there has been many maintenance issues. I was without hot water for a week. Maintenance in the past have been rude. The office people tend to have lack of communication when issues are happening in the apartment buildings. Other than the issues it's been a nice place to live at.

Property is nice. We do have some complaints. We have been told that if maintenance is called to the house for a repair, they just walk right in. Our sink and bathtub just fill with water and take forever to drain. There are fake outlet covers jammed into the wall, not screwed in. The kitchen flooring bubbles up when you walk on it and none of the vent covers are secured on the floor.

Great leasing community and every active maintenance team. I absolutely love the fact that all apartments come with a balcony. There is a pool that could use some better maintenance but other that that it is a great place to rent

Price is affordable. Units are spacious and comfortable. However, the elevator has been broken for months now and it has made living on the third floor very difficult. The office has not provided an estimated time as to when this issue will be resolved or if we are going to receive any type of credit for the services offered but not provided.

It's has been fine except for mainly the pool. It wasn't open for a full year and yet they still raised the rent. It is open now which is great and they working on the flower beds which is nice. I just wish they would work on the carpet in the hall ways and main entrance to the buildings.

After I move in fire in the elevator guessing it's never going to be repaired discovered pool not usable and found out it's the second year the stove vents are connected so whenever neighbors use their stove vent the nasty smelly food is shared of course turn your stove fan on immediately Any time we try to shower downstairs neighbors turn on hot making the water extremely cold in our shower then they turn on only cold making our shower scalding hot only only had one working washing machine but now repairs and having 4 machine New management is trying to help me with the hot cold water situation I also learned I have the deluxe apartment with new cabinets but as I explained the new cabinets are in front of the broken elevator still Overall I'm confident the new management team will help figure everything out together We like our home here and plan on being here for years just a few hiccups that everyone can overcome with respect for all Very great ful for the new management team
