Ridiculous

Well first of all, I can tell for certain that many of the people writing good reviews are either staff or prompted by staff to write a good review to counter the bad ones. When I lived there with my fiance we were asked by them to put a good review on here because they recently had a few bad reviews. I haven't lived here for a while now because I couldn't wait to get out, but we signed on when Sylvia and Joe ran the apartments. It was wonderful and they were so nice and even had a little get together by the pond shortly after we moved in which was great to meet them all. I didn't see anything like that after they were gone. The other girl that was in the office was nice, but Rachel is absolutely terrible. She was great when she first took over, to our faces at least, but then I would see her talking bad about tenants after they left the office, and she would get very snippy and rude if there was a problem. Not to mention moving out was terrible. She made things incredibly difficult for us. You all might like her while living there, but I hope you learn your lesson when its time to move out and she screws you over and charges for "damages" you never were even responsible for or did. Like replacing the entire carpet in the whole apartment and charging us for it when there was only two small spots to repair. For the actual apartment itself, it was nice and roomy. But even the quality of the apartment itself could not overcome the terrible staff and being so close to an unsafe neighborhood. The laundry facility is a mess, only two dryers worked properly. Maintenance was good and punctual whenever we had problems.

AMAZING! love it

I have lived here for almost 2 years now and I absolutly love it. I can honestly say that I havent had not even 1 bad experience since moving in. The first thing I noticed when moving in is how amazing the apartment manager rachel is. She is very personable and gets to know everyone that moves in. She is very friendly and I can certainly tell she truly enjoys her job. Also, the maintnance crew does a great job at staying on top of any issues that may occur. The apartments are very spacious and comfortable and the apartment grounds are always clean and well kept. I dont understand why anyone would ever say anything bad about Fountain Lakes because I have had nothing but great experiences with staff and fellow residents. I would most definatly refer ANYBODY to come and live here. I love it and i will probably never move :)

Coincidence, I think not

At first I thought, eh, to each his own. But after living here for 2 months I can honestly say that most of these positive reviews are written by fountain lake staff. While I lived at fountain lake I encountered numerous problems --Noise and atmosphere sucked, it was basically located right next to the projects. People are always leaving the door open to the outside cause they're too lazy to get out their key, what's the point of security if you leave the door open? Washers and dryers suck too. I really wish I would've listened to the negative reviews on this website.

Speedy service

Before i decided to move into fountain lake park apartments i had looked at a couple of diffrent apartment complexes. I was surprised at how much bigger these apartments were compared to the other apartments i had looked at for around the same price. Since i moved in i had a few problems with things needing fixed. My air conditioner was actin stupid so I called matinence and they had it fixed for in no time. I was like "wow" I felt like they literally dropped all else they were doing to get me set up right! Yeah that's how its suppose to be. It feels good to be put on top priority.

I love my apartment

I moved into my 2 bedroom apartment last February and haven't had one bad experience. The maintenace crew is always very helpful and quick to fix anything that needs fixed. Rachel is such a sweetheart and does her job very well.

Run far away!

Fountain lake apartments are absolutely ridiculous. I lived there for a year with my girlfriend and I had numerous run-in's with the staff management. There was even a point where I got into a shouting match with one of the main people running fountain lakes. We were upgrading from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom and she called very upset because we hadn't moved from the 1 bedroom to the 2 bedroom yet (it was the 26th of the month). She threatened to charge us additional money for taking so long to move to the 2 bedroom apartment and I got really angry because I already paid for that full month, so I was free to take my time. The second big run in I had with fountain lakes was upon move out. I gave them 30 days notice in writing that I was moving out, they knew exactly what day I was moving out but never scheduled any meetings or walk through's or anything. Then two weeks after I was moved out I got a phone call from that same managerial person and she said, "just to let you know your move out costs are $1400 and you should be receiving a bill shortly." Needless to say I got pretty upset, I knew we were going to be charged some money because we had pets, and they damaged the carpet in some areas. However, the pets were NOT allowed in two of the bedrooms, so the carpet was absolutely pristine. You know what they did? They replaced ALL of the carpet! Then after I got annoyed she said "well what do you want me to do about it, it's already been replaced?" How about you don't charge me for something I didn't do? Now I'm getting creditor's calling me all the time and I'm flat out telling them that I won't pay for all brand new carpet! Fountain Lakes did themselves a favor, it's a lot easier to just put completely brand new carpet in, instead of patching certain areas, or trying to CLEAN the carpet. This place is absolutely ridiculous. Oh by the way, although there is ample parking be careful when going out to your car, the place right next to fountain lakes is basically "the projects" I don't know if they finally fixed the washer/dryers but they were constantly filled with laundry and only 2 of the dryers actually got your clothes dry. The only good thing about fountain lakes is their maintenance staff. Don't say I didn't warn you so if you stay there. I'm extremely level headed and I've stayed at multiple apartments with no problems whatsoever.

I Lived Here for 18 months

I required a place to live while away from home and working in Fort Wayne. Due to time constraints, I settled on Fountain Lake Apts. They are adequate for the purpose that I needed them for, which was housing during the week. When I signed up, the manager Sylvia had a special offer going for people who worked where I did, and who were on a temporary assignment. After 18 months, my assignment ended and I vacated the unit. They had changed managers, had lost my original paperwork and lease and refused to give me my deposit back. So, BEWARE! During all the traveling I was doing and living in 2 cities, I lost my lease papers and could not provide proof of the rental arrangements. I know, my bad, but they should have had copies. As for the rental itself: There is no dishwasher, no in-apt washer/dryer, no disposal, old construction (built in the '70's), you pay for electric heat, water, trash and one other thing that escapes me at the moment. My apartment was on the second floor (the elevator smelled like something had died in the bottom of the shaft), and I had a street light shining right into my bedroom window all night, even with the blinds drawn. Compared to, say, Arbor Lakes, you aren't really saving that much money. I would have moved, but could never get a vacancy. I have pity on the staff, who are really good people and who are the only asset the owners have. Because of the way they shorted me, the company I worked for put them on a "NO-RECOMMEND" list. On a scale of 1 to 5 (5=best) I would rate them at a 2, and that only because of the office staff. I left the apartment in absolute pristine condition (only there at night to sleep). They are still trying to say that I owe for the electricity, when I canceled it the day I left and paid the final bill. Live here if you have no other choice, but if you want something that feels like home, keep looking. I would write more, but I have to get going.

Great and relaxing home

I recently moved into Fountain Lakes. It's so quiet around here and I love my apartment. Since day one the staff was so nice to me and my family! I had to bring my little boy with me and even though he was so loud and hyper they were still so nice to me and patient with me. The girl in the office was so caring about my situation with my husband being overseas. The maintenance people are friendly and caring. I plan on staying here for quite some time. I can tell with all the renovations that it's going to look so pretty when it is all done.

Annoyed

I got talked into Fountain Lake Apartments about 3 months ago. I blame myself because I was in a hurry and you always make bad investments when you do not shop around.I am miserable and stuck in my lease. The staff is not very kind, for instance, make sure to close the door loudly if you leave because if not you will hear what they really think of you. I was pretty upset when I heard the manager ------ talking about my outfit and hair. I work third shift and when I need to go into the office for something I do not really take the time to get ready. I really do not need to make reasons for the way I look when I am in the office,they should not talk about tenants this way. I also think they have a lot of personal friends that come in to visit with them. I wish I had a job that easy. The laundry room is always a disaster and the noise level of these apartments are almost unbearable. I do not feel safe here and I do not trust the employees.I don't make any maintenance requests to my actual apartment because I do not trust them to enter when I am either not home or sleeping.

Great place to live!

I cannot speak highly enough about these apartments. Having lived in a few other complexes; Fountain Lake Apartments are by far the best. My two bedroom 1.5 bath is perfect for me and my two children. The grounds are beautiufl and well kept. My neighbors are so nice. I never have had any problems with my apartment, neighbors, parking, noise, safety, or the employees in the office. The customer service is amazing. Rachel has been nothing by perfect to me and my girls and is more than willing to work with me on anything I need. It is so important to have that support from the office. All of the employees are so nice and always willing to help with anything. I highly recommend Fountain Lake Apartments!

bad place to live!!

i have been livibg here for almost a year and i am ready to move.. office lady rachael is rude and it is so hard to catch her in the office more than 20 min at a time.. next thing when i first moved in our centeral air didnt work so i called office and told rachaeand let her know and she said ok someone will be there that week well 5 weeks later it started to warm up and ac still was broke finally after 2 months they came and fixed it because i ran into a maintence guy and asked him when thwy woukd be up and he never knew about it.cause rachael never made a work order.. she sucks at her job...another bad haps is the elevater in main building shuts off while people are in it the office knows but yet still does nothing about it. something else i pay for a fountain view which is an extra 25 bucks and they only turn the fountain on when someone is looking at the crappy complex which is bs i am paying to see that. oh and the pool omg the pool it IS SO NASTY!!! it looks like it hasnt been cleaned in years and over the summer the pool was closed more than open...if u are thinking about moving in here u r foolish.. and the parking sucks i usually have to park in another lot..and sonething else they have a.problem with turning off the water and not letting anyone know and all buildings are suppose to be locked secure doors yea right that is another thing rachael knows about i pay to have a secure building thats y i liked this place but not so much anynore..

Great place to live!

I was skeptical about living in an apartment with two 5 year olds. I was worried about noise, safety, and adequate living space. When I looked at Fountain Lakes I instantly loved everything about it except the fact that there was no washer/dryer in the apartments. After living here for three months; noise is not an issue, I have never had a problem with safety issues (love the fact that I have to buzz people in!), and for the money the size of the apartment (2b 1.5b) works out perfectly for me, my two girls, and my small dog! As far as doing the laundry in the basement, it's not bad at all! My utilies are very inexpensive. All in all I am very pleased with Fountain lakes. Rachel, the property manager, is wonderful. She has already gone above and beyond my expectations of good customer service. I have and will continue to recommend Fountain Lakes!

Just signed Lease #2!

Let me start off by saying I do actually currently live here, and I do not work for the company in any way shape or form. I have lived in one of the studios for 1 year, and this week I upgraded to a 1 bedroom in the same building. I LOVE this complex! The staff knows me, treats me amazingly, looks out for me and truly makes me feel like I am home and welcomed here. Anytime i have had any type of issue ( my carpet needed replaced) (my wall needed touched up) the staff didn't give me a hard time, they just fixed the issue. I signed a new 1 year lease on my new 1 bedroom apartment because not only do I love this complex, but Rachael made me feel like like she truly values me and wanted to do what it took to keep me here. When I read the bad reviews on this website, i just don't understand or know what the heck these mean, grumpy people are talking about. If the experience we so horrible why would you have stayed here at all? Break your lease and go else where, but don't be mean, and write untrue hurtful things on a public space. Shame on you! So to recap, Yes I actually live here, no i do not nor have I ever worked for this company or complex and Yes i love the staff, my apartment(s), and my overall experience here! I look forward to another pleasant year in this complex! Thank you Rachael and the rest of the staff for making me feel so special, welcome, safe, taken care of and at home <3 Jessica

pool side fun!

Pool is always clean...plenty of comfortable places to lounge...had a great summer and love the fact that the facilities are nice enough to even have guests over for a pool get together!

Old wiring/furnaces

Yeah, these "good" reviews are fake..written by the staff. I moved out last year. The place is a dump and the furnaces are a fire waiting to happen.

Everything you could possibly expect

Fountain Lake Apartments has the finest/hard-working staff members I've ever met. Parking and landscape appearance are great. We love our neighbors and the noise control is fantastic! Fountain Lake also has a amazing pool that is well presented and surrounded by friendly people. Overall, Fountain Lake Apartments is a great place to call home.

Rachel is very helpful. I was having problems with my roommate and she greatly helped me out! She is the woman that gets things done in the office. I just go straight to her with a problem. The maintenance is very friendly. I love the pond view at my apartment

Huge Turn around

I must say that with new management, things have dramatically changed for the better with how things are handled. My complaints or isssues are addressed in a timely manner compared to waiting four months to have my floor replaced or my heat fixed.I wish they could fix the feature to buzz visitors in. The grounds are better kept.

Very pet friendly and safe

Fountain Lake is awesome. It was the cheapest but nicest place I found to live that accepted pets. I have a one bedroom and it is very spacious. The limited access buildings is one of the best features....I feel safe here.

My friend moved here almost three months ago and she loves it out there. I've visited several times to hanngout and it was a pleasure to be there. I am actually considering moving to fountain lakes in october!

My sister just recently moved here and she loves it. I have visited a few times and the location is great as well as the upkeep of the grounds. The apartments are nice and the area is quiet. I feel she decided on a nice apartment. I have considered moving here...
