Overall
I've only been living here for about 3 months, but since I've been here, the staff has been very helpful in all the questions that I've had. The parking is awesome, and the buildings are beautiful. I like how they repaint, recarpet, and overall try to make this place an upscale apartment complex. I really enjoy living here because everyone is friendly and it's a great place to live. It's really close to IPFW, and really close to downtown and wherever you're going, it takes only a couple of minutes. I really enjoy living here.

212.00 rent credit
For anyone who has lived here or lives here now I told my best friend about the apartments and they decided to lease and I have already received my rent credit. I am so happy about that. Sylvia and Joe told me to let more people know and I will keep getting the credits!

They know my name
This is a really small complex so they do know your name. I moved in a long time ago and I was told that they would know me by name and they really do. I have never met the new guy in the office and I came in to pay rent and he said hi bob. I was kind of confused because they really do know me. They are telling me I will have new hallways soon. I can not wait. Hopefully they keep up the great work in the office and everything with keep staying smooth.

Its a wonderful place to be at for a little while
I have lived here for 6 months, I will not be resigning my lease, not because of the complex but because I am having a baby. I live in a one bedroom that is really cheap for what I needed. I know that it looks really rough from the outside but inside its not that bad. I live in the leasing office building and my neighbors can get loud but I tell them to turn it down and they do. Really respectful people here, I will be back if the rent does not go up. Hint Hint Sylvia and Joe

My wife and I moved here from Arizona, thus far I really like it. I have had a couple request from the staff. They have fullfilled just about every request. I wish I had a couple things done a little faster but that is life. The pond looked great when I moved here, now since we have no rain at all, the pond is not looking to good. It is really nice to sit here and listen to the fountains in the middle of the night. I have a good sized dog and they let me have it in my apartment. I am on the second floor and having the elevator really helps my wife, who is having a baby, make it to our apartment. Overall it is a great place to live, and so far I really like the staff. My lease is not up for another 6 months, so will see if this review is the same by then.

I have lived at Fountain Lake for a year and I like it here. The grounds are well maintained and mostly quiet. People of all ages (little kids, college students, working adults, and retired people) live here - so it has a community feel. It is fun to watch people fish in good weather. I occasionally see a dog off the leash but usually the pet owners keep dogs leashed. Most people that live here seem responsible, so if you are, come and join us and make a good place to live an even better place to live. I like the fact that they respond promptly to maintenance requests. The pool has been closed for maintenance a fair amount this summer but the few times I did want to swim it was open and did seem clean. I like the fact that storage and laundry are both convenient. I also like the neighborhood in general - close to grocery, drug store, Target, IPFW, etc.

Recently Visiting Fountain LAKE
I am not sure on how I feel about the hotel feel, I went to the apartments because I was told to by a friend who use to live there. I like the size of the apartment but I am not to sure on the hotel feel. While I was in the office it was really busy, but the person who I was working with could multi-task pretty well. There were people signing the lease and they seemed happy. I was looking for a one bedroom, currently they did not have an apartment to show, but they did show me around the apartments, I looked at a two bedroom. I mean they tried to lease to me but I was not going to choose that day. I am not sure if I will choose them or not, but I wanted to let everyone know.

My husband and I have looked at other apartments around fort wayne, this is a great place to live for the price. We have not seen anything with our sqaure footage with comparable price. Other apartments charge more per month for less living space than we have now. They just put in new windows and they are painting the hallways.

Wonderful!
I just moved in not too long ago and already have made some great friends. Not only are the people great but my apartment really is wonderful. It is so spacious and a great price for a two bedroom. I have had lots of friends by to see the apartment and they are very impressed too. I am really loving it here and highly recommend it.

Interesting Staff
I went into the office to pick up a package today! I wonder if Joe is always that happy? He always seems to laugh and make sure I grab a cookie and a water. I really wonder if he is playing it or if he happy. Anyway, I told him I would put something nice on the website. I do really like the place I live at, I have a one bedroom, it was a pain moving up the stairs, Fountain Lake should get a elevator just for moving. The apartment is really large for the price of $490.00. There you go Joe and Sylvia, heres your review.

Love it
I have only lived at Fountain Lake for 2 months and it has been a great experience. The apartments are great. They are up to date and I love the floorplan and the way it is laid out. They still continue to update such as our new windows and other plans they have, but its exciting to be the first to use them. It also shows that they care and are taking into consideration of their renters needs. The staff here at Fountain Lake is also amazing. They have gone above and beyond there job for me on numerous accounts. They truely make it a great place to live. The pool is beautiful though I did not get to spend much time in it, it is always well maintained. They are beautiful homes plus a great staff which equals the perfect place to live =)

Visiting.......
Recently, my boyfriend and I visited a friend of mine and she showed me around the aparment complex. I asked my friend if it was always this quiet? She told me yes, I came in and talked to a lady by the name of Sylvia and she showed me an empty apartment, and I really liked the apartments, I just can not afford the apartments with my income but I want to live here! So if anyone is looking for a female roommate please let me know. :)

Awesome Home
My husband, daughter, and I have been living her for a few months and are absolutely in love with it. We weren't looking for just any apartment but a home. That's exactly what fountain lake's is, a community. Everyone is so nice. The staff is great and is always there to answer any questions. My daughter loves to swim in there pool and it is always warm! She also loves the car swings, which is probably her favorite place here. I always worried about parties and people driving to fast but i can't hear anything in out apartment and everyone always watches out for little kids. This is the best home we have had and can't wait for the many months we have left. The best thing about this apartment is no one can get on any floors with out a key so it is very safe unlike canterbury green where the doors are wide open!

Its an okay place!
There's a lot needs fixed but still a lot of good. Its not to ------ but there are still some people who thinks they are thugs! They really never bother you but it is still really annoying and it makes me look like I live in a horrible place. The apartments are great size. I live in 1200 square foot apartment. I like it just had my walls finally painted. Been waiting on that for a month or so. I like it but get rid of the thugs.

Great Prices!
Today I walked into the office to renew my lease and I was asked to give a review of what I think about the apartments. I have renewed my lease for another year. I currently live in a building with older walls and carpet. According to the office they are soppose to paint and everything really soon. It does kind of smell in the building sometimes, it is because the buildings are older, My apartment is on the third floor. The elevators is a really nice thing to have, I do not have a washer or dryer in the apartment but the elevator will take you downstairs to do the laundry, which is really a problem sometimes but its better than walking to another building to do the laundry. I really like the apartments, I have never had any loud noises or any other problems, I've just got new windows so that should save me some money. I do not have the best view but I am only there to sleep. Overall I do really like it here.

Being to be okay!
Office Staff, this is not a complaint but, you really need to do something about the pond, I love sitting out and listening to all the nature noises, but the pond is starting to smell really bad! I understand that it has not rained in about a month, but I know that you can do something.

FAKE!!!!
All of the positive reviews on here are written by --- in the office. He's a total --------- who thinks people won't realize it's him. Doesn't anyone else find it suspicious that all the good reviews are posted at the same time? Or that they all talk about how wonderful he is?? Don't really understand the point of misleading people, but oh well. I'd rather read REAL reviews from people who DON'T work in the office...wouldn't you?? And here's the kicker- when you post a review you have to certify that you aren't an employee of the community. Hmmm...wonder who I can report him to? Watch your back ---!!!

Great place for the money
Simply put my girlfriend and I came to fort wayne for college, we checked out quite a few places and the other places were more money but not as nice. Our apartment had new carpet on arrival, nice refrigerator, nice stove, freshly painted walls. Its good to see a place reinvest some of the profits back into the investment. The management here is also professional but also personable. if I had a friend coming to fort wayne I'd recommend this place in a heart beat.

Going on 3 years.
I initially moved in when this place was Versailles On the Lake Apartments, yes pompous name - but decent location, under the management of AIMCO (the same people that manage - horribly might I add - Canterbury Green Apartments). At the time, while terse, I didn't have any issues with the management, and their maintenance staff were friendly and usually fixed things promptly. Under the new management, while things have changed slightly, the maintenance staff (the few times I had to call them) were professional and courteous. The staff are also very friendly. Sylvia (the property manager) has always been professional and above what you would expect in regards to courtesy, etiquette, and friendliness in general. Every interaction I've had with her was pleasant. A nice change from the previous management. The other leasing consultants were also nice, from what little interaction I've had. They do seem to change more frequently than I'm used to though. But that comes with the territory I suppose. The newest leaser, Joe, seems friendly and seems to be acclimating to his role well. While the interpersonal interaction aspects are decent, there are a few things you (the prospective renter) should be aware of. These buildings are older than others in the area, hence there are some aging aspects of the grounds and buildings. The floors creak in the hallways, and also my apartment. Makes me feel a little self-conscious when I'm being too active in relation to the time. Some of the appliances could also use a sprucing up. Sound proofing of the place can be an issue. Luckily, tenants are generally courteous and quiet. This is not to say that it is a bad experience, since I wouldn't have stayed for as long as I have if it was. I really like the slightly tucked away locale, which facilitates privacy. Yet it is close to a lot of places of interest, grocery stores, restaurants, and other amenities. The amount of space you get it nice, as is the balcony with the view of the soothing pond with the fountains. It's nice to relax there on cool evenings. And as mentioned earlier, the types of tenants you get seem to be more polite and courteous to others (in regards to noise etc). This is not to imply that only older people live here, since the age range is rather wide here, but it's not a college dorm with loud parties every single night. The fact that they are also pet friendly is a boon for me. Here are some bullet point thoughts: Positives: -Roomy -Balcony -Location -Noise factor (or lack thereof) -Nice fountains -Polite/friendly staff (especially Sylvia) -Prompt maintenance service -Pool -Tenant only accessible apartments (i.e. locked hallways/lobby) -Pet friendly Negatives: -Lack of parking at times (perhaps incorporate assigned parking) -Older buildings -Older appliances -More expensive than other options in the area -No automatic payment for rent option. (If you're reading this I'm sure you know who this is Sylvia ha ha). -No camera for the intercom for the lobby. Possible Improvements: -As mentioned earlier, assigned parking. This would avoid guests taking the tenant spots. As a two bedroom apartment, technically I should have access to two spots, but have trouble finding even one at times. -Better maintenance of the lake. (i.e. keeping the moss/junk cleaner, more frequently) -Automatic payment option -Lower rent rates -Perhaps more lighting of the streets and all parking lots at night In closing, I feel that while there are cheaper places, and newer places around here; I feel comfortable and content living here for the time being. After all, it's not just one or two specific factors that make or break it, but the overall experience. And mine has been nice. It's also interesting to see the effort they are making in continually adding and evolving the community here. Shows that feedback works and they aren't being stagnant. I give the place a 3.7/5.0. Which for someone like me is quite decent.
