LOW is one of the best apartment communities to live in south side of Indianapolis. Well maintained landscape and apartment buildings, great location with direct connectivity to downtown via I-65 and its nearby all major shopping complexes, nice school district as well.

Outside of community and maintenance is fantastic. Inside also ok..but some appliances are getting old and trying to use same. Price is ok but bit higher compared to other near by apartments and every year lease getting high, saying market rate, but when we check other apartments there market rate is not going that high. One more thing car break-ins are happening but we saw some measures are taking recently. Overall for children and walking very nice community. so there are some drawbacks there more plus points so still looking to continue in the apartment.

I love the location of this apartment complex. The apartments are spacious and the community is quiet. The staff is always very friendly and anytime I need service, the staff responds in a timely and efficient manner. I would highly recommend Lakes of Windsor to a friend.

Management are total liars Place is so old it's falling apart. All residents just received a letter saying we have to had HUD inspections. That means only one thing: place accepts Section 8 vouchers. OMG!!!! There goes the neighborhood.

A wonderful place to live. The staff is amazing! Maintenance top notch! Residents are friendly and considerate. We have been residents since December of 2009. We love its closeness to everything. Right off 65 and five minutes to other major highway connectors. Many restaurants , shops, close to St Francis hospital and medical offices. We love it here! We are part of a multicultural community, all ages, and fabulous ammenites. Sparkling ponds with lighted fountains, beautiful landscaping , and a sparkling swimming pool. It is like living in a resort.

I loved this apartment as soon as I drove up. Everyone was super friendly and great. I like how well they already know who I am. My one complaint would be how many spiders were in the apartment when it was said to be cleaned before I arrived and how the patio door has obviously been kicked in and never fixed.

Community is great overall. Nice apartments and people. Might be a lot of geese and ducks but for the most part they aren't too much of a bother. The grounds are well kept and the staff is great at filtering issues.

The apartments and grounds are beautiful! I feel incredibly taken care of at Lakes of Windsor. The support staff is quick to respond to any maintenance issues, and don't require you to sit and wait for your "time window". Overall, a wonderful community!

Worst experience of my entire life. Management and staff is a complete joke. They love acting like anything you need is bothering them. Maintainence used to loudly complain about any work they were doing while in my apartment. We had a mice infestation that they cared zero about and wouldn't even believe was happening. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Beautiful landscaping! I love the apartments because they have a lot of windows. Nice blinds, fireplaces, and they have started upgrading the apartments with wood looking floors, granite countertops and new appliances and they are very nice! Its also a great location. Nice area that it close to shopping and grocery stores but also a short 15 minute commute to downtown.

The interior of our unit was very modern and updated. Washer and Dryer included in the unit. Even though we were living above and next to a few neighbors, we hardly ever heard them because of the good insulation. A few times with windows open, the business park behind the neighborhood could get pretty loud including some bikers that liked to go back there. Also the lighting on those buildings was very bright and shined into our unit causing us to get black out blinds. Perfectly fine after that. Plenty of space and the vaulted ceilings made it feel even larger. The exterior of the unit was well kept with plenty of lighting. We lived close to some trees and shrubs so it felt close to nature. The rest of the neighborhood is pretty sterile but will look nicer when the trees mature more. I dislike the way they organized the sidewalks and would prefer to have more of a circuit. The way sidewalks are set up forces people to walk in the middle of the street at all hours of the day including myself, which makes it hard for drivers and dangerous to pedestrians. The pool is excellent and hardly ever crowded although a hot tub would be a good addition. I am not sure why they took down the trees in the BBQ/hangout area but we stopped going there after that as it didn't feel as nice. The workout center should have a mat for people to do sit up's and other exercises and could definitely be bigger and have more weights. Our unit was a 5 min walk to the newly renovated Meijer which is a huge perk. Also in the same plaza was Panera, Jimmy John's, and a few other restaurants which was great. Also, driving 2 minutes to several stores like Target and Aldi and many more shops. It was nice being close to downtown (15-20 min drive) but also close to Greenwood (10-15 min drive). If you want to walk everywhere though, then I would recommend finding somewhere in Broadripple instead. Most places you have to drive. If you like local shops, this is also not the place for you since most of the area is national chains and brands. The area felt very safe and we felt comfortable leaving our door unlocked when out for a couple hours, granted we had a camera just in case. Finally, the maintenance was very fast and fixed any problem I had within the day while I was at work typically. The staff knew us by name and would have packages ready for us seeing us walk up to the office which was awesome. The price was a little pricey but only increased 5 or 10 per year which is reasonable considering the market. Overall a great place to stay and bittersweet to move on to our new house.

Lakes of Windsor is one of best managed communities in Indianapolis. Apartments are spacious and layouts are very good. Support and office staff is extremely professional and always accountable. The landscape is always neat with trimmed trees and luscious green lawns.

I have lived on the property since it opened. In the beginning, until about 2010, this was the nicest apartment community on the South side and one of the best anywhere in Indiana. As the property has continued to age, however, that is changing. The office staff has started to become a revolving door and there is little attention being paid to who they hire. Rude and very testy if you want something done that will cost more than a dime. Maintenance is now done as cheaply as possible: if there's a right and cheap way to do it, it'll be the cheap way every time. My apartment is falling apart. What hasn't declined, however, is the rent price. It's still the highest on the South side, although there is a competing property being build literally next to Lakes of Windsor that is new, beautiful, modern, and can be had at the same price. The property is also being overran with Middle Eastern immigrants (they are now over 50 of the property population.) In summary, the things that attracted me to this property are quickly disappearing and I will be leaving when my leave is up.

The community is beautiful and very well kept. The apartments feel very homey and I always feel so humble when I get home! It's very welcoming and the staff are super nice. Maintenance is always really quick to solving any issue that may arise. This place is so peaceful with the lakes, nature, and families out and about.

I have had very good experiences and enjoy my home. I am appreciative of my spot, it is very quiet except for my upstairs neighbor he walks very heavily. I enjoy watching out my window to see the little ones going and coming from school. I have looked at a couple other apts but they were smaller than mine, so I guess you get to see me for at least another year.

Just look at my answers. It is an old apartment complex. Repainted too many times with mistakes. I can see issues with exterior, too. Issues with leaking gutters. Too much interior noise. I can just look everywhere and see issues related to age of complex.

In general, I am very satisfied with the apartment and it's services. Only concern I have is in terms of high rent. If there is an option to reduce current brokerage, it would be excellent place to live in.

I have lived in Lakes of Windsor Apartments since 2002. I have nothing but high praise for the whole living experience. From the community to the office personnel, everything has been wonderful. Everything is kept up and when you need something done in your apartment, they are right there to get it fixed. It is a safe and great place to call home.
