I have had a good experience living here at Lakes of Windsor. The community is always so nice looking and the office members are always so nice and helpful. I have had nothing buy great experiences with this community, maintenance and office staff. I love the community, close to a lot of business and eating places. This community is always trying to improved the looks of our apt homes. The grounds are beautiful and this is a safe place to live.

We moved to Indy from Washington State & the process of selecting an apt./community was nerve wracking for obvious reasons. Once we knew this was where we would like to live, the staff sealed the deal w/ their superb customer service, primarily Erin. She was very accommodating & answered every silly question we had about the community & indy. We were nothing but pleased upon arrival to find that this level of service carried on to the upkeep of grounds and the apt. homes. We've only been here a wk & love it so much already!

So far living at the Lakes of Windsor has been wonderful! We have utilized the fitness center as well as the pool! So far we have not had any noise issues and everyone seems very nice! The Lakes of Windsor staff members have been exceptional with answering each question.

Lakes of Windsor has been my home for four years. Many of the issues I have with the apartment complex (which are minor) are of no control to the Lakes of Windsor Staff. The community amenities, such as the pool, weight room, and property ponds are really nice.

Staff at the leasing office and maintenance staff are friendly and professional. When I have issues, they are resolves. My apartment is nice, though the doors are very drafty and the windows are cheap. My biggest complain is probably the nasty geese, but they seem to be everywhere. Overall, I feel very safe here, which is very important for a single professional woman.

I lived here for a year while attending college, moved to California for a year, and when I moved back to Indiana, I chose to come back to this complex. My brother recommended I move here initially, and then I recommended that my cousin move here as well. Just an overall great area.

Overall a nice place to live temporarily. Not recommended for light sleepers. Make sure to get upstairs apartment. Downstairs, you hear every movement neighbors make. Not at all what was advertised. Overall, new clean apartment with amenities.

I just moved in with my boyfriend in June of 2013 and have been living at the Lakes of Windsor Apartments for about 2 months now. We absolutely love it so far. The new pool area is our favorite part along with the location. We also discovered a beautiful huge playground and quaint grilling area right in the center of the complexes with full tree cover. It was a nice surprise since it is not pictured anywhere online. The only down aspects that I can think of would be the lack of stain on the balconies, and the big downer, lack of weights in the weight room. One of the reasons why we chose to move here is because of the workout center, so we could save on not having to pay for a separate gym membership. That was what helped make the $900 price tag per month manageable. After seeing what exactly the Lakes of Windsor gym had to offer, we are now forced to invest an extra $50 per month each just because their machines are not up to date and they don't even have an actual set of weights. I don't understand how the owners of this complex have not already thought about this simple amenity that could make a big difference for many of their residence, especially when every resident pays between $750 to $1120 per month. We are planning to move to a less expensive apartment complex with a nicer gym facility once our lease is up if things do not improve. All in all, if you are looking for an apartment with a nice gym, look elsewhere; other than that you'll love it here... it you feel it's worth the price.

I have been living at Lakes of Windsor for almost 6 months now and cannot say enough wonderful things about the complex! The apartments are in extremely good condition and the appliances are relatively new as well. First, I want to commend the office staff for their diligence and positive attitudes. Every time I need to go to the office, (which is not often which is a good sign!) I am greeted with a warm smile, genuine care for my inquiries, and fresh cookies. They seem to authentically enjoy their jobs and the residents. Having lived in a nightmare apartment complex before, it is EXTREMELY reassuring to have an office staff that you can hold with such high regards and integrity. Next, I would like to praise the maintenance staff. I have not had the pleasure of meeting any of them because they often work in the background, but I am still affected by the wonderful work they consistently perform. For instance, we have placed two maintenance claims (a minor dishwasher back up and a rattling door) and they have fixed the issue within 24 hours, leaving a note on the door. They have taken pristine care of the property as well. It is ALWAYS beautifully kept with fresh cut grass, flowers, mulching, etc. I must also mention that there is never a piece of liter on the ground ever. It is truly amazing how well they have kept the grounds. It shows their loyalty, tenacity, and care for the property. Finally, if you want to live in an active community then Lakes of Windsor is your dreams come true! They have a very modern gym with several machines. It sometimes gets a little crowded in there, but it just goes to show the type of residents you will be living amongst! They also have a beautiful swimming pool, tennis court, and basketball court. I have often thrown on my running shoes and gone for a run around the complex; several other residents do this as well. My only minor suggestion is that they send out a newsletter more often (possibly monthly). If I did not go to the apartment gym regularly and see their bulletin board or Like their Facebook page, I m afraid I would be out-of-the-loop. I often have to fill my roommates in about events hosted by the apartment or general updates. Overall, it is great place to live worry free! I want to thank them for the wonderful experience they have given me thus far. If you are looking for a place to rent on the south side of Indianapolis, I would highly suggest Lakes of Windsor. You have every need possible at your fingertips: grocery store, restaurants, gym, mall all within a 15 minute drive.

We have lived here for almost a year and have had no complaints. The place is extremely well kept and we love to bring friends and family here from out of town. We have gotten so many compliments on our choice of residence. The maintenance team responded to two complaints on the same day and fixed both problems on a Sunday without any issues. Being new to the area the location is literally 15 minutes from the middle of downtown and traffic has not really been an issue as compared to the northern half of Indy. I would reccomend Lakes of Windsor to anyone looking for a place to live in Indianapolis.

My wife and I loved Lakes of Windsor. Unfortunately, we relocated out of Indiana so we were forced to move out. The staff was amazing and very helpful any time we needed something. The natural lighting in our apartment was amazing! We really don't have a bad thing to say about our experience. If I had a complaint it would be dogs barking below us but you will get that in any apartment complex. That's no fault of Lakes of Windsor at all. We lived in the very back in building 26 where it was very nice and quiet. If we move back to Indiana, we will be returning to Lakes of Windsor.

I've lived at Lakes of Windsor for just over a year (just recently renewed my lease) and I am very happy with my apartment and the overall community. Not sure about the other review of building 6 because I too live there and do not understand their pictures or comments. They talk about the building needed to be painted - the entire complex was repainted this year and the red dots in their pictures are indicators for the painters of areas to which they were to pay close attention. You don't repaint an entire community because of one complaint - it was obviously planned well before they posted their comments. The grass missing is purely because of the heat and lack of rain from this last summer - find me an apartment complex or home in Indy that didn't have this at some level this year. If you looked at the other side of the sidewalk you would see the grass is just fine (where it was in the shade) - also anyone that understands basic landscaping would know that you might reseed in the fall but you don't put sod down until the spring. There were three dead trees when I moved in and that following spring all were replaced. And for the beer bottles...that isn't the apartment complexes issue unless you ask them to speak with the people that live in the apartment where it is happening...unless they wanted to create a no beer drinking on your patio rule. I've lived in a lot of apartments over my life and this is one of the best and it is well maintained. Any time I've had a maintenance request it has been handled within 24 hours and done right the first time.

Lakes of Windsor is a very quiet and nice place to live. The maintenance always responds asap if there is an issue (even after hours). They keep the complex clean and well-groomed. Parking is never an issue and the office staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a wonderful place to live!

Hmm, where do I start... I prefer the list format: 1. Photos speak for themselves...please see attached and read the comments. 2. Downspouts are missing off of the right side of the building - again, Building 6 the building that Lakes of Windsor has blown off. Yet, in this building there are several three bedroom/two bath apartments that bring in quite a bit of rent for the complex! The building that is deplorable and forgotten! 3. Gutters overflow and washout mulch everywhere -a real mess everytime it rains. This is causing mold outside the door of some apartments and brick is turning green in darker areas. Embarrassing to have visitors. 4. Security sucks! Twice our vehicles have been entered and gloveboxes gone through and paper strewn around our vehicles. 5. Not a place you are proud of to have people come and visit - Building 6 - a real eyesore. Beer bottles on porch railings for days...looks real good when you have visitors...oh, yeah...who wants visitors to see where you live??? 6 The grounds crew does an awesome job of covering up for management's lack of upkeep on buildings. 7 Started out great going downhill faster than a Jamacian Bobsled!!! 8. Way too much rent is expected for this eyesore...avoid this like the plague!
