DO NOT live here if you drive a Honda or Toyota (or Lexus/Acura). Even though Lakes of Windsor is located in an OK neighborhood, vandalism on these types of cars happens at an alarming rate. Management is well aware but refuses to do anything. When I reported that my entire exhaust was chopped off from my Acura in the middle of the night, management just shrugged and said that it happens all the time and I should do a better job of protecting my car. I did not want to live here anymore because of this and said that I would like to leave because of this threat. They would not even let me out of my lease early. Lakes of Windsor was going to charge me $1500 to get out of my lease 2 months early. Steer clear of this place if you value your vehicle. Decent apartments but TERRIBLE management.

Horrible place to live! I can't wait to get out of here. Have been here for a few years and get treated horrible. When you first move in the office is really nice and helpful but the minute you have an issue they are very rude, talk to you like your stupid, and are very snobby. There is a work out area but it is never cleaned, I have personally gotten sick from going down there. The equipment never gets wiped down and there is nothing to wipe it down with for the person who is about to get on the equipment, it is breeding ground for diseases. Be careful leaving the complex especially between the hours of 7-9am and 5-7 pm. You will have to sit there forever and risk being t-boned. I have seen plenty of accidents because of it. They need another entrance and exit. The pool when it is open is extremely dirt. All they do in dump chemicals in it every day, but they don't touch the filter and scrub the sides down like you are supposed to. I can't believe the city actually let's them keep it open. The playground equipment is the same equipment they had when they first opened, the swings break all the time and it takes weeks to months for them to get fixed. Be careful if you live on the playground also, people will take things off your porch to use for themselves and their kids. None of the windows fit properly, there is always a draft coming in and you have to put plastic up like tenant housing, so of course your electric bill skyrockets. The trash compactor has been broken for almost a year now and they still have not fixed it, so trash is always overflowing and laying on the road. It is disgusting, but it explains all the raccoons they have running around here. I see cars getting towed for no reason so be careful if you go on vacation, you won't have a car when you get back. They only have 2 maintenance people who actually know what they are doing, I guess the others are just for show. The office also hates to replace things that are broken in the apartment, they are too cheap. There are nails sticking up out of the carpet in certain parts of my house, so be careful where you step. If you ever have a flood due to their old pipes that burst continuously be careful because they hate replacing carpet even when someone moves out the carpet is not always replaced for the next person, they just like to have someone come out to vacuum and "clean" it. I wish I could warn people who come to look at the apartments before they move in, I would never recommend this place to any one. I wish I could give less than one star, because they don't even deserve one.

When I first came to this community to fill out an application and look at a model, I thought to myself, I'll be living here forever. The grounds are beautiful and there is a workout room on the premises. My apartment is large and completely supplied with all the appliances I need.

Erin in the office is awesome :) actually, every staff member that I've made contact with from day 1 has been great. Friendly staff, beautiful property, spacious apartments, safe community... This place literally has everything you could want. I couldn't be happier with my decision to move into Lakes of Windsor!

This property is headed for a complaint to the health department. Many, many violations in and around the buildings. Mostly neglect and refusal by the management to do anything. They will never admit there are problems, so the problems exacerbate. Residents are left with no other avenue than to go to oversight authorities. We have been brushed aside for long enough.

Overall ?I have enjoyed living here until the last several months when 6-7 people moved into the two bedroom apartment above me with 4 kids. One screams all the time. The kids run and jump and yell and half the time there is no adult supervision.

Excellent, The Trash place is far and there needs to be some other option. All the residents have to take their trash in car and it is really difficult during winter. Some improvement can be made based on this.. The staff are really friendly..

From the very first time I entered the Lakes of Windsor's office, I was greeted enthusiastically and friendly. The whole office staff truly understands the meaning of quality customer service. The community is beautiful, well kept, and provides "free" amenities you will not receive at most other communities.

It is not the best apartment but not too bad when i compare the quality of the apartment with the price. At hot or warm weather i see bugs everywhere, and i mean "worms!" However, the staff are friendly and the people here are nice but the quality of the apartments not the best. I give it 6/10

I do not regret moving into this community, and I am so happy that I am a member of the community. I study at the University of Indianapolis and it only takes me 10 minutes to get there. The community is safe and I am comfortable living in it. I highly recommend this place for living.

Lakes of Windsor is a great place to live. It is convenient to shopping, dinning, the Interstate, even the Casino is only 20 minutes or so away. And the staff has always taken care of my needs. I actually live in Tenn. but I work here in Indy. Lakes of Windsor is my HOME away from HOME.

I moved in September 2014. Lakes of Windsor was the perfect fit. Close to work, shopping, my parent's home and other necessary things. The move in process was smooth and easy. The complex is big and provides the perfect opportunity to get some exercise in simply by walking around.

Quiet, Safe and good neighers. Well maintained utility, many services. Also you can rental garage near your room. I'm very happy to live this community. One more good point is you can walk to Meijer at the side of this complex.

Apartments are very well kept and office staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is close to everything you need while the apartments are still very quiet. The landscape/trees give it a quiet feel. The only thing is that exiting the apartment complex on Southport Road can sometimes be a challenge, but not too bad.

I have been living at Lakes of Windsor for two years. Living at Lakes of Windsor has been one of the best decisions I have ever made ever since moving to Indianapolis. It has been a really good experience for me overall. I look forward to staying there as long as stay in Indianapolis. I like the fact that it offers convenient access to major shopping centers and grocery stores. The staff there is also very professional and will try to work with you to try to solve your problem.

Love this complex, the people that work here as well as the kind neighbors. It gave me a sense of peace and at home, although I'd moved 800 miles away from my family. Convenient location, right off the highway, and plenty of shopping, convenience stores, banks, food, etc... within 1 mile.

I love the large closets and living space! I also love that the pool has room to swim laps. The convenience of the Meijer being right next door, as well as restaurants like Chik-fil-a and Panera Bread is really nice . It's a great location for getting on the interstate to commute to work

We just rented a 3-bedroom apartment for 3 of our new teachers-in-training. The experience from the first call to inquire about the apartment complex to the move-in date has been excellenet! The professionalism of the staff is outstanding! There was a slight delay in the leasing doucment due to a malfunction in the program, but the leasing agent always kept us apprized of the status so we were not inconvenienced in any way.

Grounds well taken care of--especially during the winter months! I love the convenience to the grocery store and I barely ever hear my neighbors and love the options of the different floor plans. I would recommend an appliances upgrade but otherwise I would live here another year!

The staff us extremely good to work with. Tori Smith was who I worked with and I found her very professional and good. Location is great as far as location to the city. I have a 10 minute daily commute which is excellent and the shopping center and restaurants are so close to the Lakes of Windsor

I moved to the Lakes of Windsor Apartments from another Regency property (Sunblest Apts) My stay at Sunblest was great. The staff was super helpful and responsive, facilities and grounds were pristine, and work orders were taken care of almost always within one day. I was sad having to leave Sunblest, but when I found Lakes of Windsor was in the area that I was moving to, I was excited. Living here, I have experienced the same quality that I did at Sunblest. Regency is a fantastic property management company. Definitely blows the average out of the water. Most places do not put as much money into maintenance, grounds crew and staffing as they do, and the prices are reasonable. 5 stars, highly recommend.
