Good so far! Only issue is our upstairs neighbors can be loud at times (sounds like they're constantly moving furniture and/or running around throughout the day). Thankfully the noise is limited to normal hours so it's not a major issue by any means. It sounds like they may have a young child, so that's completely understandable.

It is a really good community in close proximity to public transport , 3 minutes walk to both train and bus station and schools. The property management is helpful in answering any of the questions. I

The apartments are airy and bright, with all amenities. Maintenance is responsive and the front staff are great but not 24 hr. Very convenient for Faulkner Hospital, Arboretum, and orange line. Washington St is a major thoroughfare so there is continual traffic but the apartments are well-insulated from noise. 15 minute walking distance to downtown Jamaica Plain. The actual retail space in the building is empty, which is a shame. Parking is $195 a month. The building uses Rentcafe as their rent- and utility-website, which is convenient.

I'm a new resident but so far everyone has been nice and welcoming. The leasing process took a little longer because of the Holidays but I'm very happy with my new place. Some policies were new for me like trash disposal, etc the staff was helpful with handling that adjustment. Again a hotel cart/dolly would be a great addition to help with groceries or large items.

Fabulous staff, kind and responsive. There's a lot of outdoor space, good lighting, and the location is incredibly convenient. The layout of my studio unit is logical and maximizes space. Great for dog owners!

I am very satisfied with the Metromark apartments. Staff are pleasant, although there is occasional turnover. The current office manager is not as personable or even visible as the last ones. Maintenance is terrific. Responsive and effective. Fellow community members is mixed... and there has been a lot of turnover this past year.

At first I really liked living here however a few weeks in we started getting emails from the management that the apartment below us was reporting noise complains. We looked into it right away and got carpets for the floor just in case. A few weeks later we get a lease violation notice saying that there are too many noise complains. We were open to inspection saying as we didn't know what noise they were talking about. We were advised to walk slowly, not move our study table chairs, etc. We were not happy with how the situation was handled. We now feel scared to even walk in our own apartment. We felt the management was rude to us and were not happy with our experience.

Cozy and comfy building. Staff is nice and they're always available to help. They also remember you which I was pleasantly surprised by since there are so many residents they interact with. Overall I'm happy

Love my apartment! Only issue is the continuous smell of smoke in my apartment from other residents! Management does send out blast emails as it is a smoke free community but that hasn't changed much.

I love everything about this community, especially the leasing/management staff. They are amazing. The location is also really great, and the amenities are so nice. The only negative thing I can say about this has to do with the individual unit(s) themselves. There is no ceiling fan in the bathroom and the washer/dryer is on the smaller side. Other than that, it's great!

I just moved here recently, from another Boston area, but early impressions are favorable. Staff have been first class, apartment and common spaces are light and clean. Easy walking to T, commuter rail and parks/trails.

It has been a great experience so far. It is a very quiet building which I like. I also like the cleanliness of the building as well. Things get fixed in a timely matter and everyone is super friendly.

I have lived in this complex for 3.5 years. The first 2.5 were okay. I experienced some of the same issues noted by other commenters below, but everything was basically okay. Then this new management group started. Aggressive emails and behavior from the staff have become a norm. Everyone I know has moved on from this place and I am literally counting the days until I am no longer legally obligated to pay them another dime. Additionally the units are in a constant state of disrepair. There are several places above the header entrances that are showing signs of collapse in the exterior drywall. Repair requests are handled at the leisure of the organization. I had a persistent leak that coming from my ceiling that was just painted over as a solution to repair the problem. Unsurprisingly, the problem reoccured and the maintenance specialist cut a hole in my ceiling, which remained for several weeks (pictured below ;the hole that was left in my ceiling for almost a month; an example of the water that ran into my floor from the hole each day ). I pay $2600 a month for such amenities. Also, please beware if looking at this place, consider the endurance it takes to do multiple midnight fire drills each year (almost bi-monthly) due to their faulty smoke detection system. We have to evacuate the facility and stand outside for two hours because someone had the tenacity to use their oven. The appliances here are bottom of the barrel. The oven hood don't capture smoke, the sensitive smoke detectors go off leading everyone to get some fresh air. The dryers take multiple cycles to finish a load, etc. Also, the elevator in my building is mainly for decoration. It goes down almost bi-monthly as well. I guess the straw that broke the back for me is when I was ticketed for parking over two hours in the same place I have parked for over 3 years. When I moved in I was told by the facility management they had the discretion to enforce their two hour parking rule and that they would not until they get people moved into their perennially empty retail spaces. Out of the blue on morning in September, every car on the street in front of the building had a ticket for two hour parking. There is a Yoga studio that has been opened in one of their retail spaces. Instead of giving us a notice about the parking these jerks just turned Boston PD on us. When I confronted the office staff I was told that I should have already had a pass for their $200 a month garage parking. The person at the front scolded me for having car and not buying a pass. I was told I had to buy a pass for the garage if I want to park there between the hours of 8-5. So I begrudgingly got a pass. This month I go to pay my new bill and see that I am being charged for two parking passes. I confronted the management about this issue and was informed they forgot to bill last month so they did me the favor of adding an additional $200 dollars onto my already $2600 a month invoice. Today I will pay them $2800 for an apartment they are list for $600 less a month with 2 free months included. Beware they bait you with an okay price and then try to charge an additional 5000 a year increased monthly rent. They recently tried to raise the rent on my neighbor to $3000 a month ($800 increase) during the middle of pandemic. Smartly my neighbors are leaving. Having been laid off from Covid for a few months getting started back getting on my feet has been difficult. I have at least had the comfort of threatening emails and inhospitable property management to help me through this. This management has exasperated tenants with their cruel policies during this pandemic. I expect my move out to be the absolute most painful process I will have endured with a property management group. I have already heard horror stories from my friends (and former neighbors). Avoid this complex like the plague. Concoran Management has made it a practice to staff this place with dishonest grifters who are chomping at the bit to treat you inhospitably.

I liked the apartment a lot, and the amenities are definitely worth the move. Most residents are extremely friendly and those who weren't did not engage with anyone that much. Overall, I've enjoyed my time here.

We've just moved in. We chose this property because we needed a short-term lease while we finish renovations on our home, and this was one of very few that would do as little as 3 months. The staff are very friendly, and all the common areas are clean and smell very nice. There were a few dead bugs when we moved into the unit - not ideal, but it's clear the management is aware of the issue and working on it. A plumbing issue took a few attempts to resolve, but once I knew the right people to contact it was taken care of fairly promptly. We haven't used the common amenities much yet, but from what we've seen they seem nice.

It's a very clean apartment building with great living spaces. I love that I am steps away from the forest hills T stop and multiple parks. The leasing agent and concierge are always prompt and very friendly. So far, I've loved living in this apartment.

Well designed apartment. Maintenance fixes things very quickly. Good mail system. I wonder if the management company could have distributed rent credits when the building amenities were closed for months due to Covid.

It's a nice (almost) new apartment with all the amenities I wanted and nice staff. The residents are quiet and seem pretty young on average. The trains are definitely audible in the apartments (our apartment is on the wall facing the trains) but you get used to them. The apartment is very bright; we actually need to hang curtains in addition to the provided blinds in the bedroom.

I lived in MM for 3 years and am very torn between my experience here. Overall, any good experiences i did have are far outweighed by the bad. Pros: apartments are nice, appliances work well, common spaces and gym are nice to have. Located close to FH for easy commuting. In a nice location of JP ("up and coming"), and close to great food and downtown JP. Cons: - not a smoke free community as advertised. many residents smoke in their apartment, on the balcony and in the common areas. I first lived in a street level apt in building B for two years. Eventually had to move out to a third floor apartment because residents were constantly smoking outside the window. I could never open my windows. Moving to the 3rd floor did not solve the problem as many residents smoke on their balconies and in the courtyard. I addressed this with management multiple times (over email, face-to-face conversations), and was always assured it would be addressed. Then I would see the same residents smoking on their balcony. MM should not advertise themselves as a smoke free community without being more strict on their policy. - mess dog owners! As a dog owner myself, I understand that dogs have to pee and poop. However, we had multiple issues with finding dog poop/pee in the stairway or elevator. Some entrances we stopped using because of the smell of urine. The biggest issue we had was our upstairs neighbor letting their dog pee on their balcony, which would leak down to ours. Again, addressed this directly with management, and the situation never got better. - Management has gone down hill over last three years. While we lived there, we saw 4 different property managers come in. The current management is unprofessional, unresponsive, and will say they are addressing things that never actually get addressed. We had multiple issues with property manager right at the end of our time at MM with emailing or calling us back, or missing phone appointments we had set up with him. Overall, the apartments not built well enough to justify the price, and don't have a responsive enough management to justify the price. Expect to smell constant smoke fumes, dog pee (maybe even have to clean it up off your porch), hear the train, overpay for parking and living, and then when you decide it's an issue, don't expect management to be compromising or do anything to resolve it. Would not recommend living here.

Metro Mark is a great community. It has a convenient location close to the T, Centre st, and lovely parks/green spaces. The staff are very nice and accommodating and the apartments themselves are nice. The walls are thin (but most modern buildings are).

We moved to MetroMark in July 2018. We chose this specific complex for a number of reasons: we were relocating to Boston from over 1,300 miles away and MetroMark's online presence, as well as the kind office staff, made it easy to find our perfect home in a city controlled by brokers, etc. We also were moving with a large, senior dog and were so happy to be so lucky as to get an apartment that opens up to an outdoor courtyard with a potty area. We love and often use the gym, dog wash, dog run, package lockers/concierge, trash valet (a luxury I never knew I would love), bike storage, grills and the deck patio. We appreciate and use many of the outside vendors who work with our complex (including Leash and dry cleaning). We also feel so lucky to be near public transportation and many great restaurants and bars. Any maintenance request is handled quickly. Communication between the office and residents is frequent, timely, and helpful.
