This community is very nice and safe. Close all of your favorite Rochester amenities such the village and downtown Rochester. The staff which works here is a little rude but if you can overcome that this place is great.

River Oaks is a great community in a lovely area of metro Detroit. The apartments are lovely and spacious and the setting is like being out in the country. It has rolling hills and a river running through it with wetlands.

Complex is in a great location sitting on beautiful property with a resort like pool and workout facilities. The community is safe and close to shopping and freeways. Office staff is friendly and helpful which makes this community a great place to live.

Good location, close to Chrysler Headquarters. Very professional staff, nice landscaping and overall apartment quality. Good value for the rent's cost, could use improvements on open shared areas (BBQ, Breach Volleyball, etc).

Community is very clean, well maintained and very safe. Residents are well behaved, mature/sophisticated. Never had an issue with noise/garbage/ general inconsideration :) Butler road is a shortcut from Squirrel but its a bumpy/unpaved road mostly.

Great Community! They do a good job for snow removal on the parking lots & apartment entrances during the winter and the common areas are also really well maintained during the summer. And if you need maintenance in your apartment they have a really quick turn around time.

Beautiful grounds; unlike most other complex designs where trees are leveled, apartments built, and a gratuitous tree is planted River Oaks provides apartments in a more natural un-urban like setting. Amenities are nice and security is much better than average. It is also a stones throw from major highways for easy access to work, shopping, and recreational activities.

My apartment looks beautiful and is the envy of a lot of my friends. There is direct access to my apartment and my neighbors are friendly and never cause problems. The things vital to me like snow removal and quick maintenance are never a problem. The pool area is well kept and beautiful, as is the landscaping. The staff is always on top of my demands and courteous about it. Probably the most important thing is the location, I can get on the freeway in no time and go north/south or east/west in a jiffy. The drawback is you pay for it.

Safe, quiet complex with large rooms and ample storage space. Love the 2nd floor ceiling height, fireplace and park-like setting with fully matured trees and well-manicured lawns. The apartment complex is ideally situated between Auburn Hills and Rochester Hills with quick access to I-75, M-59 and fantastic, local shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend River Oaks!

Very nice. Most of the people are very friendly and amenities are nice. Fitness center is good/would like to see an AB machine added. Easy access to all areas for food and travel. Maintenance crew is extremely helpful.

Besides feeling like I'm living in a resort everyone is very friendly, staff, maintenance, neighbors. The staff is always working on something to keep the complex in good repair. It is especially fun to watch the deer walk by your back door.

The community is very good, nice landscapes. The newly renovated apartments have new appliances. The pool and the gym is in good condition. The neighborhood is good and in good school district. The rent is little high.

My apartment was too dark and always cold in the winter. In the summer people are often walking by my windows. Although it was explained to me that someone would live upstairs, it drives me crazy when he is home and I consider him a quiet neighbour. If there was an entire family living up there, I'd go crazy.

It has been a good experience so far, it's just that this year I've asked for the apartment to be painted and I was told "no" that I would have to pay for it. It was not like I wanted changed to a different color, I listed wanted to spruce up the door way. Too bad, next year I will be looking for a new place to live. It's suppose to be manitence free. I think sprucing up the entry way with a fresh coat of paint is general ambience and it should not come out of my pocket.
