Beautiful community, along with a beautiful apartment. Everything is clean, safe, and the neighbors are wonderful. Its a good location - you get the beauty of nature around you, but you're not far at all from the freeways, and local shopping. Management is also fantastic - real easy to work with, friendly, and always have a ton of information.

This community is close to my school, and is a great location with a lot of space. It has been great for guests, as well as daily living! Our location in the back of the complex is peaceful and secluded. I have enjoyed the community workout area and look forward to using the pool this summer!

It has been a awesome experience to live in River Oaks. The community is very friendly, respectful and diverse. The community is safe, clean and the open areas are enjoyable all the year around. Location is another plus, 10 - 15 minutes to grocery stores, downtown, medical buildings and church.

Over three years here, and I will again renew my lease. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is attentive. I like the fact it is a gated community and the facilities are very nice. My apartment has plenty of room and is very comfortable to live in.

The experience at River Oaks apartments has been great so far. We like the quiet surroundings, gated access to the community, proximity to shopping centers, work and freeways. Overall, River Oaks is a nice community. The complex is clean and the office staff has been mostly helpful and generous over the years I have lived there. The apt is nice, although a few updates are needed.

They will check your carpet with a black light when you move out to show you stains that do not exist so they can charge you over $1000 for carpet that they "say" they will replace. They do not show you this black light inspection when you move in. TOTAL SCAM. If you sign a lease, plan on losing your deposit and paying at least another $1000 out of pocket. If you go to the pool where the deck is infested with carpenter ants, make sure your suit is grandma style because the office manager will tell you to cover up or go home if she finds your bathing suit is not conservative enough for her. If you enjoy getting letters and harassed about items such as bikes near your entry that are not yours you will love this place. If you enjoy your neighbors having loud parties and the smell of smoke entering your unit you have found your home. If this place sounds like a headache-you would be correct. DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE-you will regret it.

Safe, neat and clean community. Exteriors maintained very well. Though the apartments are 30 yrs old they are maintained well with maintenance staff are phone call away. Rent wise bit on the higher side.

I've loved living at River Oaks the last 5 years. I never hear my neighbors, the maintenance staff responds immediately, and the apartments are nice and big. I love having a private entrance, and there is plenty of parking. Having a carport is really nice.

Overall nice experience. Grass land before my apt is not that nice. Pet guy should come more often to clean up pet debris cos some resident won't pick up after their pets. Maintenance staff are very friendly, fast and efficient. They respond very quickly.

I am extremely satisfied with my experience renting at River Oaks. The facility is well managed and well maintained. It is a quiet place, which I like. Rent is higher than other nearby apartment complexes, but I think it is well worth the premium.

Exceptionally clean , timely with maintenance. For such a large complex, the neighborhood is usually quiet, and peaceful. Not sure about anyone else, but my neighbors are all pretty cool and friendly. My unit is spacious, and I appreciate the staff.

I have lived in this complex for a very long time. When I first moved in it was much nicer. The inside of the apartments need renovations. I feel the appliances, cabinets and flooring all need to be replaced. Also they need to keep up on painting.

Great place to live! Nice and safe area. Good neighborhood, people is respectful to each other. Administration is always willing to help when you call them to report issues. During winter time the roads are cleaned immediately. I'm happy to live there.

Apartments are in a great location, close to schools and shopping. Apartments are large and feel homey. The temperature in the basement is often quite cool, hard to use it in winter. Love the views of woods out my window. Staff is excellent!!

Very average living, I do enjoy the pool quite a bit and the workout facility and also find the tennis courts to be very well kept. I really wish that there was a basketball court somewhere in the complex though. I have yet to experience the volleyball court but that sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

Overall, I have really enjoyed River Oaks. Other than loud neighbors on one side and dog poop in the lawn on the other side, everything has been great. The walls seems to be very "thin" as we often hear our neighbors loud conversations when they have guests over (which is very frequent). We are also able to hear the woman below us when she speaks loudly to her pet. However, we understand that this is an apartment complex and we share walls :) It's just annoying sometimes.

I've had a good scenery and high security since I moved to here. Highly recommended apartment. However, depending on location, swallows makes their nest underneath the parking pool roof and their dropping makes our car dirty. Except this, I've been satisfied.

In general Staff is polite but apartments are old and have air leaks thru the windows making the utilities bill more expensive. A water Leak form the apartment upstairs took several days to fix it, + ther is humidity on main bedroom. Parking is far from the apartment making it tough specially in winter/Snow. rent is expensive for the size and service received, that is the reason I leave before mu contract expired, penalties fees are high for the type of place

In addition to excellent facilities and service, the property is uniquely situated within gentle hills, mature trees and includes a river and stream. A great country-like environment in suburban Detroit. I have not seen any other apartment complex with such a pleasing setting. Very pleasant, indeed.
