I've thoroughly enjoy yed my time at Weston Lakeside Apartments. I've been met with friendly neighbors, maintenance staff and also great leasing professionals (specifically Hailey & Brian). I would highly recommend this community to anyway. Convenient to many things and such a family friendly environment.

The roaches are everywhere, I haven't gone a single day without seeing one since moving in. Management makes promises about fixing the problems, but I can confirm only 2 times they've sprayed and I've given up trying to get them to do more. I have to purchase materials and spray myself, after this I started seeing dead roaches, but the problem still exists. The windows and walls block absolutely no sound at all and I continuously wake up at all hours due to the noise.

Overall it's quiet, people are generally respectful except for cleaning up after their dogs, I haven't had any issues that weren't resolved almost immediately. I love how close the apartments are to the Greenway, I can literally roll out of my bed and walk my dog in beautiful nature any time.

We moved in this past April 2024, and so far everything has been good! We've had no issues with management or maintenance with our apartment. The only thing that we've ran into issues with is with the community grills not being stocked with propane. However whenever we request it through the portal it's solved within the next couple days.

When I toured the property, the agents were friendly and the property looked well-manicured. Unfortunately, as a tenant, my experience has been less than stellar: 1)The property manager has exhibited unexplained discriminatory behavior; 2) There's an uncontrolled roach problem during the summer/fall months; 3) Residents allow their dogs to urinate and defecate everywhere; and 4) The walls are so thin that I can hear the couch springs of my upstairs neighbor when he moves, I know when he uses the restroom, etc. The property has great potential. I chose it because it's scenic and sits back away from the road so that it's fairly quiet. But, I don't expect to have so many significant issues for housing that costs $2k+/per month.

The newly renovated units are comparable to the area's competition as are the rent prices. The floor plans of the units are unique and stand out compared to others. Unfortunately, at least in my experience, the level of customer service after the lease is signed leaves much to be desired. I have lived in less expensive places that seemed to care more about my happiness with the experience. The focus seems to be weighted toward getting people in and less on retaining them.

Overall staff is very friendly maintence is prompt and well done. My apartment is extremely lavish. My only three negatives would be cost is very high there are a lot of fees. I frequently have had packages stolen and nothing has been done about it. They've installed new lockers I have registered through the app yet my packages still come to my door or end up stolen. Lastly, the amenities are almost nonexistent the pool is constantly trashed with loud and obnoxious visitors that don't live here using it. The gym since I moved in almost a year ago has had little progress done on it. The dog park is small and bland. Finally the office is small there aren't any conference rooms, a game area, or hangout spots. Being next to a lake you'd think there'd be opportunities to enhance the overall lakeside experience but there isn't. Overall I really enjoy living here I hope to renew and find almost everything to be exceptional. Hopefully the cost goes down a bit.

Outstanding Care
Brian was such a well-spoken, personable, and kind person! He was completely professional and helped answer every question we had. Even though we were traveling from out of state, he welcomed us in with open arms and showed us many options past normal, operating hours. He is very dedicated towards his clients and his professional responsibilities.

Overpriced for what you are getting. Air smells like sewage after a rain. Walls/ceilings paper thin - can hear your neighbors at all times. 5 months into signing a lease here I was evicted from my apartment, among many others, for "mandatory updates." I was forced to scramble to move to another apartment.

In short, our experience at Weston Lakeside (WL) has been frustrating. It started when we moved in and had an issue with our application. Once the problems were resolved and cleared to sign the lease, we were informed that the rent reflected on the website was inaccurate, and if we wanted to sign, we'd need to pay $100 more per month. Since WL had already pulled our credit, we bit the bullet and signed anyways. On the day we officially got our keys in July 2023, WL let us know that the gym on our property was under construction and would be ready in a month. It's now February 2024, and the gym still isn't open for use. Granted, WL allowed us to use the Lofts gym across the street, but that aside, the "ready in a month" claim was misleading. Upon getting to our apartment for the first time with our stuff and the door code, we were surprised to find that the door didn't open. It's not that the code didn't work, but the locking mechanism was installed crooked. And to this day, after a handful of maintenance requests to fix the door, getting into the apartment is still harder than it should be. During our first evening in the apartment, our fridge stopped cooling. This issue required a call to maintenance quite late, and while the problem was eventually fixed by WL maintenance, the process of calling in the after-hours work order (and calling WL in general) was convoluted. When you call the number for WL, you're routed to a corporate call center. So, even if I call the WL office number while standing a few feet away from the office, I am still routed to a call center rep. And if you need to connect with the WL office, the call center will let you know that they'll let the office know to call you back. Yes, it's confusing. Typically, it's a few hours, if not a few days, before they call back. Communication is a significant issue that has been the root of several other problems we've encountered at WL. For example, our apartment had a major mold issue in the master bathroom. While we still don't know what caused the mold, maintenance seemed to think it was due to pipes clogging upstairs that leaked, eventually soaking our walls. When we originally discovered the mold, we filed a maintenance request and took pictures. WL maintenance arrived a couple of days later with Moldex and a rag. Their action plan was to scrub the sizable mold patch, use a dehumidifier, and then paint over it. Per the lease, this was unacceptable, so we visited the office and informed them we expected to have the porous surfaces impacted by the mold removed ? as is the protocol outlined in WL's lease agreement. A few days later, WL's contacted renovation team arrived to tear out the few sections of our wall that were still wet and covered in mold. Unfortunately, it was a few weeks before WL sent in a new crew to reconstruct the missing wall. WL had at least five companies come in to give quotes and random times during the day, of which the no-notice was inconvenient. On top of that, we overheard the head maintenance technician at WL say to a potential contractor that they wouldn't be paying the rates that most contractors had proposed. And for us, we were left without part of our wall and weren't informed as to if or when our wall would be fixed. This ordeal required spending a significant amount of time trying to connect with the property manager. The office staff gave us an email for the property manager, which we later learned was for an individual who no longer worked for Stoltz/WL. When we were eventually connected with the new property manager, communication was hit or miss ? especially when we inquired about getting compensation for the square footage we were paying rent on that didn't exist (since we were missing walls due to the mold). When WL eventually offered compensation for the square footage impacted, the one-time rent credit was eaten away by an unusually high water bill. On the month when we were supposed to get money back, our water bill had jumped an unexplained 148.7%. WL is responsible for the water and utility billing (excluding power), and to this day, we are not sure why that one month we received a credit was higher than any other month we've used water. And, unfortunately, that was not the only situation where mold grew in the apartment. Communication with WL is also a consistent issue, as is evident by the emails the office sends. In January, we received an email threatening a "$40 non-compliance fee" for an issue with our renter's insurance. If we didn't change the additional interest on our insurance (we had the one that was specified in the lease agreement...), we would get a fine. This email read like it was directed at us, but it also could have been directed at residents at large. It wasn't specific and caused panic and a lot of time on the phone with my insurance agent. And to further emphasize the communication issue, WL was closed on President's Day. However, that night, we got an email saying, "A property inspection was completed on Monday, 2/19/24 (President's Day), and it was noted that there are items noted above on your patio." How WL conducted an inspection on an off-day is still beyond us. Plus, there's nothing on our patio, nor has there ever been. Well, except for some outdoor furniture that WL's contracted property cleaning crew bleached while power washing. While this sounds like we're picky people, we're not. We just want somewhere to live that isn't one issue after another. Unfortunately, life at Weston Lakeside has been one issue after another.

it is full of drugs and noise from construction and it is reflected in the high turnover of tenants => the police are tired of me calling about the drugs and so are the ladies in the office ==> it is all on police record and also on the record in the office => at best it is a horror show

Predatory company that bumps rent at every opportunity despite no improvements to the apartment. Makes residents jump through unnecessary hoops. Hostile, passive aggressive boomer neighbors. I can't wait to leave this horrible apartment complex.

I have lived in apartments across North Carolina and can honestly say this has been the most incredible living experience. The staff are adorably pleasant to work with and talk to. The amenities are abundant and I enjoy them as much as possible. It's so quiet and clean, I love to come home. Even as a person of color I can honestly say it is a peaceful and pleasant experience.

I love the location of this apartment complex. There are a ton of renovations going on so in the next few years I'd assume it would be more updated. Currently the noise is loud of people working and communication with residents is minimal.

It was a great tour. Lynee answered all our questions in detail and offered many different options. She listened to what we wanted and helped us find them. Apartment community is beautiful and lake is great. Pool and grills were nice. Updated features and colors looked good.

I have had the worst experience at this community. I currently do not recommend this community to anyone. The property staff do not seem to care about the property or community. The move-in conditions were terrible, and we are still identifying issues that take too long to be resolved.

Mostly ok. Trash collection and dumpsters have become disgusting. Roaches in the building and apartment are out of control. It seems the community is not at the same standards as when I moved in. Speaking to a neighbor they seem to have bad roach issues also.

I liked the apartment at first but the beginning was a bit rough because we discovered that there was a serious roach infestation regardless of having pest control spraying in the beginning. I ended up doing everything you can think of to get rid of these roaches (baits, dust, gel, spot spray, perimeter spray, caulk to seal in cracks, etc.). Within 1-2 months, I was able to go through the day without seeing a roach and it made me feel better about living here. I really don't like the landscaping being done during business hours because I work from home and it gets loud when I am in a meeting or on a call. I believe that with the price increase from last year, the pricing is a lot less competitive for some lack of amenities (access to gym, etc.) and without renovation. With the front office being closed for renovations, I really missed the game area and the theater but understood that it was to make the place better when it was done. If I owned the apartment complex, what I would do is bring either Google Fiber or AT&T in for another internet service provider (lowering costs for us), give us access to the Loft's gym (further indirectly lowering costs for us), and look into how to minimize the roach problem (I know we live close to the lake and there is pest control but there has to be another way to improve it since they are in the walls. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Just moved in and have had a great experience so far. The previous tenant left behind some work orders and scuffs on the wall and the maintenance staff was quick to answer the work order and get them prepared. I love the space of my apartment, especially the corner balcony!

This has been a beautiful apartment with value appropriate for the lake proximity and space I have, in the midst of a high rent area? this is very fair. I love the greenway spaces and can see lake Crabtree from my porch. It's a happy place to live and maintenance requests are often solved within 24 hours, if not the very day you request help. They did close the gym and amenities without warning for 1.5 years so far without much notice beforehand so that is that? hopefully future residents will be reaping benefits from good new spaces. Lease renewal rent increases have been about as large as expected unfortunately, but are always negotiable which is awesome.
