This is a good apartment complex. It has the standard features. Current exterior, balcony and siding repairs seem to be taking quite a long time. I have not had access to my balcony for months. The rent has been reduced to accommodate for being unable to use the balcony.

I recommend to not move here until all construction is complete and apartment appliances are updated. Construction equipment has been outside my apartment for over a year. Nice apartment layouts but currently that is the only positive about moving here.

Great location next to a lake and a state park. Well maintained. Very quiet if the ongoing construction is done. If you work at home or spend the daytime at home, it is better to wait until the construction is done. The care team is doing a great job to create a sense of community.

I am currently a renter and regret choosing this apartment. I would not recommend renting this property until they finish of the construction. I chose this apartment for the previous good reviews. There is simply too much noise during the day and there is no natural light coming into the apartment during the day. There is no privacy during the day when the work is going on. They need to work on improving the amenities. There is simply no proper upkeep of the property. Trash seems to be overflowing in the general areas. There needs to be more done by the management to speed up the construction process. This makes living conditions simply irritating.

Don't be fooled by the manager responses to other reviews - construction has been going on here for over a year and it's TERRIBLE! There is no reason why it should take as long as it has. The BAD: The scaffolding and construction sheeting prevents most natural light from coming through (I literally watched as they boarded up my windows while I was wfh one day), construction workers meandering in the middle of the parking lots and hanging outside of your windows, constant banging and jack-hammering ALL DAY. I contacted management about the fact that I work from home a couple days a week and the noise is unbearable. The response was, "You can work in our guest suite one day this week." That was it. The pool is now overrun with large groups of college-aged kids smoking and drinking and playing really loud music. The apartment walls are paper-thin so fingers crossed that your neighbors are quiet. The GOOD: Easy access to Lake Crabtree trails, free bike checkouts for the day, well-lit parking lots and hallways. DO NOT live here if you're looking for a peaceful, quiet living experience.

The apartment staff is not helpful at all! They are never in the office and when they are they never seem to want to help. They wrongfully charged me for rent and "can't" fix it. DO NOT RENT HERE! Everything is under construction, it's loud, workers outside your window at 8am. The trash is always overflowing. Highly recommend you look somewhere else to live.

Don't stay here until all the construction is completed. Very noisy...my husband drives at night and has not been able to sleep during the day for the last 6 months due to the roofing and siding construction noise.

Pros - Great location. Sense of community and lots of outdoor space. Plenty of parking. Maintenance staff is quick to respond. Cons - office staff is often not available and does not return calls quickly.

Nice apartments from the outside but there is a lack of insulation inside which allows lots of noise. There is a lack of respect from management towards the tenants and lack of appropriate notification when it comes to construction projects or important info. For the cost to live here you would think the experience would be top notch.

Lower your prices....Why are we still being charged for ammenties that we cant use...All the construction is terrible. This is sad that I am not being given a reduction when I got the apartment because of the balcony and now you are saying don't stand on it because it's not safe and collapse...

We will not be renewing our lease as this place is definitely not worth the rent. With so many options to choose from in Cary, we won't have to deal with this constant construction, leaks, overflowing dumpster, horrible front office people, unanswered calls, and over priced rent. Wait till summer comes and the water bugs start arriving in your apartment again. That's reason alone to move.

Poor communication and organization of management. Construction has been going on for over a year and limiting parking spots, ridiculous noise during the day, unsafe Juliette balconies that residents can't even stand on, not to mention multiple roof leaks in at least 2/3 buildings. Looks nice from the outside, overpriced for the inside. It's taking almost 5 months after monthly follow ups to get a refund for a leak in my apartment and it's still not resolved. Not worth the money and ran poorly by management. Definitely overpriced for the crap you have to put up with.

I enjoy the apartment. I do like the movie theater and amenities other than the gym. The location of the apartment is really what makes it for me. I am 8 minutes from work and can connect the crabtree trail from the apartment.

Well I will start with the good, the maintenance crew is top notch and the cleaning lady is a wonderful person to be around and talk with. This is where the nice stops and the BAD begins. When I was first interested in living here the office staff could not have been nicer to both me and my spouse. I remember thinking wow what a breath of fresh air this is. Nope it was just a facade, as soon as we signed on the dotted line it was hello nasty and goodbye nice. When and if they ever do anything nice for the residents don't expect the office staff to actually mingle with you. The pool area with two of the grills is locked up during off season and the grills that are available are routinely out of gas. Now to add to the list of bad service is the constant and I mean constant banging that is knocking my pictures off the wall and my lights off the ceiling. Yes my friends they are replacing the roof and just about everything else due to poor initial construction. It is sad, for such a poorly built complex they don't mind charging you premium rent. I now get to look at construction ladders and equipment as it goes up and down in front of my window every day. Security has gone to pot as well because I get to watch construction workers eyeball the inside of my apartment every time I open my door because the roof access is right there.....Yeah!!! All in all they don't care about anything but your money and most of the time don't answer the phone. STAY AWAY

Weston Lakeside Apartments is a generally nice community and is centrally located, but the units could use some remodeling. The maintenance team responds to issues promptly. The pool area is clean and nicely maintained.

The location is fantastic, close to shopping, highways, and even Umstead Park, however that is the only nice part about this complex. There is major construction going on with unbearable noise and living conditions. They are replacing all of the roofs leaving residents with ceiling leaks, unwanted noise, and little parking. Additionally they are replacing the siding/windows/doors, say hello to the jack hammer from 8-5! The office staff is less than friendly after you sign your lease and often do not return your phone calls. The pool area is locked in the off season, say goodbye to 2 of those grills they sold you on! The one dumpster for all 3 buildings is routinely overflowing with trash all on the ground attracting lots of fun pests. Lastly, think twice about living on one of the upper floors as the elevator is routinely broken!

The quality of living is poor for what is advertised as luxury apartments. In reality we live in a continuous construction zone. The buildings have serious structural issues, yet this was not disclosed to us at the time of our renewal. The constant disruption of a peaceful living environments due to construction and repairs is stressful - especially when we are prohibited from using our balcony due to unsafe conditions and paying extra for a lake view when scaffolding is put up blocking the windows! We are always getting notices at our door of the latest construction disruption, yet are not offered any compensation.

The community has good location, but that's basically the positive. The negatives: a management team that isn't trustworthy and doesn't look after the residents, outdated apartments with shabby finishes, small common areas, unfriendly neighbors, and continued nerve-racking construction projects that take forever.

I remember the first time I saw these apartments. I was in awe of their design and interior styling. I HAD to move here. It was a dream goal of mine. Little did I know, what a nightmare it was going to be. The noise is absolutely ABSURD!! I was on the TOP LEVEL too!! I had to fight with my next door neighbor about his noise. You can hear conversations from below and beside you!! I kid you not! I had to fight with my neighbor below me about HER noise! I couldn't believe it. Most of the time, when I'd arrive home, I'd pray that my neighbors were gone for the night so I could relax in peace. The staff was mediocre at best. The only helpful person was Annie. I was going through extreme financial troubles and she postponed evictions and court costs for me several times. I was very appreciative of that. At the end of my 2nd lease, I was almost bankrupt. I pleaded with Annie to give me some more time, and she did. The unfortunate side of it was that I could not gather enough funds to pay my rent. That being said, I made arrangements with the apartment manager, December of 2014, to leave without being evicted into a new apartment I had landed with a roommate. Before I knew it, he was going back on what he and I agreed upon and forcing me out 2 weeks early. I understand that if you don't pay your rent, you get kicked out. I take responsibility for that. But when you give you word on something, I expect that to be honored. It wasn't the first time part of the leasing staff failed to honor their word either. Another one of the leasing agents told me how the court costs worked and how to avoid them. Next thing I know, I get socked with court costs and she denied ever saying anything to me, right in front of the manager. My father had to foot the bill. I couldn't trust anything they said after a while. Annie was the only one I could count on. It was very sad because the staff started off on such a great foot, and then they changed the people that worked there and it went down-hill quickly. Not only was the staff deceitful, they somehow attached evictions to my public record two months in a row when I was never even evicted, and PAYED my rent for the two months my record says I was evicted. I don't understand how you can be kicked out of an apartment twice in two months and then end a lease 4 months later. Do you guys see what I'm getting at? That staff is spiteful and they don't honor their word. Trust Annie, she's the only one worth anything in that office. Coupled with an extreme noise factor and really shiesty staff, I would honestly recommend everyone stay away from that place. It's pretty, the pool is nice, the scenery is incredible, but those apartments are cheaply built, priced way too high, and you have a bunch of --- holes in the leasing office that don't give two shits about you, especially when you are in financial trouble. Like I said, I get that my financial issues exacerbated my stay at Weston Lakeside, but I really do believe that when a staff member, or three(!), gives you information or a plan to get things worked out, they should honor it. Special thanks to Annie for keeping me afloat when I would have drowned to death.

I cannot recommend this apartment complex to anyone. The property has several major issues that need to be addressed: 1) the brick/stone project has been going on for well over a year. The only thing that separated me from the outside was a piece of sheetrock and thin plastic. 2) you are charged for pest control and the bugs are out of control 3) the office staff is useless except when they want money 4) the pool is great if you like smoking and screaming little kids 5) the bbq grills never have any gas 6) when your lease comes up for renewal, be prepared for a BIG increase. The best part of the complex is the maintenance staff but they are somewhat limited.

it is a nice area because of the lake, but the apt has serious roaches size of 2 inches, inside dishwasher when i move in, they were holes in the window wood frame, and poor wall patch they sell you a nice apt, but when i walk in, it was a different story. apt has gap, in balcony door, when it rain water and roaches, comes in and the carpet gets wet. all issues address to management, they have not done a real good job, in this health issue.

Living here for about 1 year. We think it's an excellent place to live: great location, stuff, neighbourhood. The only problem is that sometimes we hear our neighbours, but that's a problem of 99% apartments in US.

Don't Live here if you enjoy privacy & silence. Noise, Noise, Noise. Way too much noise. The apartment complex has fantastic ammeities. But without privacy and all of the noise, it's simply not worth it. You can hear full conversations of neighbors above and adjacent to you. You can sing along to the songs that your neighbors play. You can hear your neighbors above and beside you having sex. That's how thin the walls are! It was extremely frustrating. I can hear every single flush of the toilet, every step as they walked (sometimes ran) around, and every shower that my upstairs neighbor took. The water pipes made a clicking sound that NEVER got fixed. They refused to fix it. And the rent is exorbitantly high. Don't be surpised to see the rent rise $60 to $80 each year at renewal. Also, make sure that you keep the carpet in immaculate shape for the entire time you live there. Otherwise, they will force YOU to pay for replacing the carpet for THE ENTIRE APARTMENT at move out. The staff was nice & helpful. Shakira particularly was very nice and went out of her way to assist where needed. The grounds were well maintained. The unit itself is modern and aesthetically pleasing. But none of that matters when you have all of the noise going on that I described above. Bottom line, DO NOT MOVE HERE. Run away. Unless you are literally deaf, then I suppose it would be tolerable.
