I mostly enjoy living in this community. I hope they're not still advertising them as "luxury apartments" because they definitely are not that. But overall it's been a decent experience here. They are friendly and respond fairly quickly to any issues we may have. The carpets were not new when we moved in, and have only been cleaned one time at a lease renewal in 2018. I'd have preferred to have that done more often. But after living here for 7 years now, it's such a great location and I'd hesitate to move anywhere else because this is just nice and quiet here and close to most everything. The main complaint I'd have is they should have some kind of security esp at night, people fill up the handicap spots and they don't have any kind of decal or anything to be parking there, they should be ticketed. We have adequate parking for everyone with medium to small vehicles. And sometimes there is noise at way past the acceptable times. But nothing is perfect, and it could certainly be worse here.

Had a lovely tour with Katie. She made us feel like part of the community by the end of the tour. While we ultimately decided on another apartment complex in another town, I would love to revisit this community when they have more renovated units available.

The community here is great . Everyone looks out for each other . People say hi to each other . People here are willing to help you if needed . A very clean and quiet environment to live in. The Weston lakeside staff is quick to help out and accommodate. Living by Crabtree lake is quite the experience . Highly recommend living here if you're looking to get know the Cary area. Cary is one of the most diverse communities I have lived in

We have lived here for six months now and it has been a wonderful experience. The grounds are well maintained, the apartments are modern with open floor concepts and the amenities are top notch. The gym has plenty of space. I have not ran across an unfriendly neighbor yet as well. I would recommend Weston Lakeside to anyone.

Not the best communication when applying for the apartment, we had to keep calling for any updates. I love the convenience for everything being 5-10 minutes away. Maintenance issues have been issue since we moved in and I believe they need to work on communication

The newly renovated apartments are so fresh. It's a pleasure to have the new appliances and updated kitchen. We enjoy the lovely grounds and the attention to beautiful landscaping. We are enjoy living here.

Really great community. The best apartment complex I have lived in while living in Cary. Office staff has always answered my questions and concern's promptly. When there is a maintenance issue, they come right away to fix it.

This is the only community I have lived in, in Cary. I love it here but think in general, overall rents in Cary are making it more of an elite cumminity base on what people can afford as opposed to growing a more diverse, inclusive community.

The community is nice, and pretty quiet, but the smoking rules are sometimes violated, which leads to foul odor entering through open windows. For some reason the car wash area was removed, and now there's no place to vacuum or rinse/wash your car or bicycle. Each of us will be evicted when it is time to remodel our apartment (probably this fall). After remodelling, rent will increase by hundreds of $. So I'll likely be moving elsewhere.

Good community great staff. Everyone is kind and courteous. Maintenance staff are especially prompt and do a good job at fixing problems. The only negative is that most people do not clean up after thier pets and nothing has been done about this so far except to send repeated reminders. Perhaps residents should be fined if they don't clean up after thier pets.

You are paying for the location. Apartments themselves are in good shape. Don't expect to have access to all of the amenities listed on the website. Our gym hasn't been available for over a year now. The bike rentals are in rough shape and not available to rent when the office is closed (i.e. on the weekends when most people would actually use them). You'll have to pay someone to walk your trash 50 yards to the dumpster. Staff are friendly but could communicate with residents better instead of always last minute. Maintenance has always been quick to fix requests.

I took residency at Weston at Lakeside in Nov. 2022. Since day one of lease signing; I am impressed with the professionalism, knowledge of management and staff. Everyone so kind and helpful. Thank you all so much for making me feel at home.

I try to stay positive/see the best in people and relocating just did not quite align with my life at this time which is unfortunate because: - Management never answers the phone or returns emails and will always claim it is due to the renovations that have been going on for at least the past year and a half. It is unfortunate that after all of that time they still have not managed to find a system that works other than an off site answering/call line that you will always be forwarded to just for the main office to still never return your call. * Do not fret! If you are a prospective resident, you will get four star treatment and every call and email will receive a timely response just as I did!* - There is still a cockroach problem from finding them in the apartment to seeing what looks to be a graveyard in the hallways even though we are charged for pest services. "The apartment is near a lake" is the justification you will get. - They send out last minute emails to notify you of maintenance being done in your apartment and to secure all animals so maintenance can have full access to your apartment just to follow up a few days later stating maintenance was never done and to put your pets away for the next three days as said maintenance could happen during that window. I find it inconsiderate as well as borderline cruel to my pet to have to "secure" him in a space that gives him zero access to the apartment all day for multiple days all because they are overextending the maintenance staff (maintenance staff here are amazing - truly!) - They recently did internal building maintenance on the pipes that has caused brown sediment in the drinking water. So much sediment/particles you can clearly see them floating as if water was supposed to have pulp in it. I was informed of said building upkeep only after asking maintenance staff members. There was brown residue in my glasses, shower, and sinks. I am baffled they feel it is okay to not inform anyone. Positive: - The maintenance team members are very kind and address your concerns in a very timely manner regardless of how big or small the issue is! - Proximity to greenway I will definitely be moving as soon as this lease is up as I was hoping things would get better but have only gotten worse as they "make improvements" around the complex. Additionally I hope my lease ends prior to me receiving my 60 day notice to vacate whenever they decide they want to renovate my building. (No estimated time window per the office when I went to physically speak with them)

We Got Screwed
Back in February, the floor above us (we live on the 2nd) got a notice to vacate due to plans to renovate the entire building (plans we only learned about through the notice to vacate, which leads us to believe this was a kneejerk reaction to all the new tech jobs in the area). After confirming that the entire building is planned to be renovated and that lower floors will eventually also get notices to evict, we decided to leave as soon as possible given the already horrendous decision-making on the part of Weston management. The notice to vacate came with an offer to relocate to a different building during renovations (at a steep rent hike) and move back into the current unit after renovations are done (at an even steeper rent hike). They further insulted us by ensuring that the renovations will beautify the units, the building, and the amenities, as if any of the current residents will actually benefit from any of that. Anyway, we have since been trying to plan our move-out, but have not been able to do so effectively because, even though we know for a fact we will be getting the notice to vacate within the next few months, Management has refused to confirm a date for those notices or waive any early termination fees until the notice is officially given. Given the absurdly expensive renters market at the moment, we have very little flexibility with choosing a new place to move to at the moment and Weston is doing everything in their power to pressure us to either sacrifice good opportunities to move to more cost effective apartments or break our lease early at an absurd early termination fee. It's infuriating to know that Weston will, whenever they feel like it, tell us to get out or pay up (and trust me, we are ready to get out), but they are holding our lease hostage. Add to that that construction has already started on the floor above us, which has caused an unbelievable amount of loud and obnoxious noise at very early hours of the morning (which is more than an inconvenience to those of us who work from home), and many of the amenities we were promised access to when we signed our lease in the first place are now unavailable due to renovations. We have been cheated and conned out of our money, our time, and our ability to get what we already pay for at this place. Weston has proved that they are unethical, untrustworthy, and unwilling to respect their residents when they can employ greedy, underhanded business tactics. Under these circumstances, we wouldn't choose to live here even at our original rent of around $1300 (3b2b), much less at the projected rent of well over $2000. It is worth mentioning that when I say "management," I am not referring to the staff at the front office, who are very kind people in the same position as us, but rather the entity responsible for making management decisions like those to renovate an entire building at the expense of its current residents. TL;DR, don't move here. Don't trust Weston. Don't reward them for screwing an entire building worth of residents out of a lot of money and possibly a place to live and work. Edit: I just want to add on to this that we have now had two fire alarm tests this month during work hours on a weekday. I'm starting to think Weston is deliberately trying to annoy people into breaking their lease early.

This apartment complex is disgusting. They are so expensive, always dirty, the management sucks and is unresponsive, they charge fees once you move out and call them "misc cleaning fees", and then threaten to send you to collections. This place has been terrible since the first day I moved in. They also did a bait-and-switch on the month to month fees and hiked the price by an additional 400 a month. There are snakes that sit out front of the doors and they do nothing to treat it. They do nothing to mitigate roaches. Do not let the appeal of the lake Crabtree lure you in here. This place sucks!!!!!

This community has good amenities, great lake view and trials , but there are few negatives which i experienced with appliance issue and response from staff , make sure your water and dryer units are working fine and air conditioners are old , these may pump up your bills , if you want any answers stay ahead and keep following up with office staff , sometimes you may end up paying more for their miscommunication or delay in turn around time , be clear and update them 60 days prior when you plan to lease out that's really important.

This community changed management in February 2020 so the reviews before 2020 only reflect earlier management companies. This management company doesn't seem to know what they are doing and are not committed to the same kind of upkeep and services we previously enjoyed. It's a major disappointment because I signed on with the previous management based on their excellent ratings. Now all of us are trapped here with the new regime and I don't know why it's so bad. But every other resident I have talked to agrees this is the worst management they've ever had. The inner hallways are filled with spills and stains that are never attended to. The pest problem has increased. The dog park is no longer tended and has become a mud pit when it rains. They can't seem to unlock the pool in the mornings when it is supposed to be open, but they are quick to shut it down at night at the exact hour. The attitude about what we are supposed to accept from them is defensive, unapologetic and not service oriented. They really messed up their accounting practices early so that residents are socked with hundreds of dollars of fees without warning or apology. It's sad to be trapped in a lease with this management company. Buyer beware.

Fantastic community and location at a low price with quick and thorough maintenance staff, but the pet fee is a ridiculous $350/pet PLUS $20/mo additional rent. A deposit would be one thing, but this is an exorbitant fee plus a pointless recurring cost. Completely dissuaded us from getting cats, as this price has changed between when we moved in and now.
