RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN
This place sucks beyond belief. Break-ins seem to be an inside job. How does one steal a washer and dryer from an apartment with NO ONE NOTICING!!!!!!!!!!!

BUGS, BREAK-INS, DARK NEIGHBORHOOD
It is a horrible place to live. Although it is pretty on the outside and rent is cheap, please don't judge to book by its cover. There have been 3 car break-ins in less than 12 months. There are huge wood roaches. The lighting in the complex is horrible. The trees cover the street lights. It takes ages for maintenance to fix problems. PLEASE DON'T LIVE THERE

Mice, flooding, break-ins and more!
I lived in a number of apartments in the Raleigh-Durham area and this was by far the worst. Within the first month of my moving in my apartment flooded after a heavy rain. The water which had leaked into the plaster resulted in the ceiling falling down in the deck and living room. Then I moved to another section of the apartments where my car was broken into, my apartment was broken into (all my valuables and electronics stolen), I had problems with bugs, mice, and mold. Finally I broke my lease and left. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, apartment.

DON´T DO IT
I could talk all day about my horrible experiences, but let me just say... RUN AWAY! They may seem nice, but nothing about the management has been anything near great. Cars get broken into, you´ll have to call the management company in order to get anything done in your apartment (including getting your air conditioner fixed when it goes out during the summer... can you say 90 degrees inside your apartment for weeks and weeks). Window screens dont fit the windows so you have lots of little visiting bugs if you open the windows. Sure the views are great, but they´re not good enough to be worth the headaches.

Terrible
I´ve been living at Park Ridge since summer of 2002. Since then, we´re now on our third management company. The latest one refused to clean my carpets when they were stained from a flood caused by their pipes bursting (mind you, since my pipes went, someone else in the building had the same disaster). I was in Massachusetts for 10 days, and NOBODY from the office made a point to contact any of my FIVE emergency contacts. Screen went, that took 3 months to fix, toilet´s still broke, find somewhere else to live, not here.

tooooooo many changes with management. takes months for maintenance to show up at your apartment. the main focus of the complex is the outside...they need to fix the inside before anything......car got broken into, and they claim to have off duty officers, but you never see them??????

gotten much better
They have a new management company, and it seems a lot better. I´ve heard a lot of horror stories too in the past, however, I can honestly say that the year has passed uneventfully. I love the woods and the trail. Its great for me and my dog. Things I WOULD change are minor. The interior is old (the cabinets look HORRIBLE!!!!)and maintenance team isn´t very reliable or friendly. There is a HUGE discrepency in rent. I have good friends out here and we all pay something totally different. Their prices are a little high now compared to the newer places up the street. However, I would recommend this place if you need a no-frills apartment with peace, quiet, and a gorgeous view.

Noisy, poorly maintained-Renter beware
This is definitely a case of "you get what you pay for" Cheap rent, cheap quality everything. Very noisy...especially the parking lot where folks wash cars. Ridiculous that people can be that clueless. The management seems to care less about the quality of the inside of the apartments and are more interested on the outside appearances. I´m counting the days til I´m out of there!!!

Slums in the suburbs
Whomever said maintenance was the best must work for the place. Yes it does have a new name but it´s the same dump. IT SUCKED! The place is full of mold and mildew. As for maintenance, forget it. Shoddy workmanship performed by underqualified staff. My place flooded the fourth day after I moved in. All apartments have Qwest piping which was NEVER replaced after the huge lawsuit. They pocketed the money. Their idea of fixing a plumbing leak is to let the place dry for a few days then try to cover it up with paint. Lighting is poor and the crime rate is outrageous. One girl was raped in her apartment after the attacker kicked his way through the door. My car was broken into one month after I moved in and in spite of the fact that three Durham cops live on site, no one felt safe after sun down. Management spent money dressing the outside of the place up with fancy landscaping but did not spend a dime on the interior of the apartments. Most of the buildings are sinking into the ground and the doors don´t shut properly. All the ´ground level´ apartments have mold everywhere. You can smell it! The walls have no insulation so even the quietest neighbors comments are heard in the next apartment. The pool is a cesspool of germs and bacteria unfit for humans to be in. Don´t even bother living here listening to their specials. You can get a better place within a few miles with much better living conditions and that doesn´t accept Section 8. <br>Last thing is, if you have pets, they charge an outrageous pet deposit and pet rent.
