Very friendly place to live. Staff is wonderful. I feel safe here. I love the pool and the fun events they have for us. I made a lot of new friends here. It's close to highways. I love my view of New York City. The clubhouse and gym are very useful.

Great place to live. Well maintained and lots of wonderful neighbors. There are many social gatherings if a resident wishes to attend. The pool is staffed and kept clean in the summer. I highly recommend The Highlands at Hilltop.

The Highlands is a very well managed apartment complex. All the employees are very helpful and friendly. The grounds and buildings are maintained at a high level and this is a place one would be proud to have friends visit.

We love this commmunity and it's setting. Staff are friendly and efficient; setting is serene and peaceful; and ammenities are great - including 2 pools, with outdoor grills, fireplaces and TVs; 2 exercise rooms; movie and indor golf; as well as out door tennis and basketball courts. Pet friendly community with outdoor dog park.

Highlands at Hilltop use to be a wonderful place, but now look elsewhere. This is in no way a luxury property any longer. Apartment repairs, unless small, do not get done. The majority of amenities are in need of serious service. Rules and regulations are not enforced. This complex, while beautiful views, is no longer worth the money you pay.

We moved in here in August 2020. Right from the beginning we met wonderful people who are now our friends. We love the sense of community here and all the activities that are planned by the office staff, especially Lisa. The maintenance staff are also very helpful and friendly.

It is a beautiful and well maintained. I have lived here for over 10 years, I feel safe, convenient to all stores, restaurants and supermarkets. The summer is delightful, with the amenities of the pool, clubhouse and gym, you have it all.

Not worth the money
I have lived at Highlands at Hilltop for over 4 years and overall it has been a good experience but not great. For $4,000+ per month, the experience should be great. Before signing a lease, be sure you understand all of the fees that you will pay on top of your rent as they nickel and dime you for everything. Many of the apartments are dated and should not be billed as "luxury." The appliances are old and in need of constant repair or replacement, the flooring is cheap laminate from China and blinds are something you would purchase in a dollar store. The heating/cooling unit is the worst. In the past 3 years my AC has died twice. The unit also has a SEER efficiency rating of 10.6 which is rock bottom. One of my pet peeves is that they demand that I pay $15 per month for an alarm fee which I never activated. If you own an EV (Tesla) do not move here. For 3 years they have been promising the installation of EV chargers and it has not happened. On the positive side, my neighbors are great, the community is safe and the maintenance team works extremely hard to keep the residents happy. They have not had it easy as their former boss was a real ------. If you can afford the $4k+ per month, I suggest you look at other options in the area such as Stone Hill in West Orange.

Beautiful development. Well kept. Staff very friendly and professional. Very efficient. Office staff accommodating professional and efficent. Grounds are well kept. Fun activities for all Nice party planning. We would like to see more bus trips planned for seniors

The complex is beautiful and beautifully maintained. The amenities are wonderful. The management / leasing office team is incredibly helpful, and the maintenance team responds to any needs quickly and efficiently. This is a terrific place to live!

Highlands at Hilltop in Verona is 5 star community. Overall the complex is well maintained, staff is courteous & knowledgeable & very responsive. The amenities are varied, available & very well-maintained. Grounds are beautiful & all well maintained as well. I've been very happy living here.

Beautiful setting and not too large. Apartments need to be updated to compete with other fresh and more up to date apartments. Office Management friendly yet they often cannot answer questions without a manager on the premises.

I've been very satisfied and happy living in this community for 8 years. Dog friendly and people friendly! The beautiful scenic landscape especially when the sun sets is amazing. The office staff is courteous , friendly and always welcoming. I hope to continue to live here for many more years!

It is a nice community. People are friendly. It just needs to be updated to compare to surrounding communities. Amenities are also very expensive. I pay for them, however I literally NEVER use them. Also the alarm fee is ridiculous. Another thing that you have no choice but to pay, however I do not use that either! So you get this rent price per month, and then there is all these random extra add ons to pay each month!

I love living here at Hilltop. I just turned 90 and have not previously lived in an apartment, always owned my own house, I feel very secure here and have no qualms about living alone. I have wonderful friends and neighbors here and the staff is always available to help with any problems you may have. Great social activity for all ages.

Community is well managed and maintained. Services are great and the common areas clean and first rate. Health club is well equiped and the dog park is a real plus. Residents are friendly and respectful Office staff is extremely supportive.

I moved into the Highlands in November, so I have seen my neighbors, but perhaps less frequently than I would in the warm weather. Most people are polite and friendly. I appreciate the office and maintenance staff for their friendly and professional manner

My dad really likes living here and appreciates the assistance of the friendly staff. Our only feedback is that every apartment should have a shower that is easy to access - you have MANY retired seniors in the building.

We love the Hilltop community! Everyone is warm, friendly, and generally enjoys living here. The facilities are well kept, the scenery is gorgeous, and the complex overall is beautiful. We highly recommend the Highlands at Hilltop!

Highlands at Hilltop is a lovely community in a very visually-appealing setting. The apartments feature high ceilings many have fantastic views of the surrounding area. The property abutts the Hilltop Revervation green space, which affords a great chance to get out into nature. It's a quiet, peaceful community, with friendly neighbors and responsive management. Highly recommended.
