Heads up!!
I've have lived in many places adn thought this would be a good move; man how wrong I was! It is nice on the out side but horrible on the inside. You will find an invasion of Carpenter ants in the summer and faulty Heaters in the winter. The service diappears once you move in. They have your money once you sign the contract. They won't even let you leave without a fight.

I recently looked at an apartment here and was treated very well. I am looking to lease within a couple of months and will definately go back to The Vantage. I was treated very professional and the community looked very nice. I overheard one of the employees talking with another resident about renewing their lease and that resident seemed very happy as well.

I have just recently lease an apartment at Vantage! I cant beleive some of the things people have said about this team. This staff has made me feel like I was the only person they were dealing with. Any time I had a question or a concern about something they did everything they could to address the problem or question. The application process was very easy and fast. They worked around me and my time frame to get me in the apartment I wanted. I went to my first resident function last week, and had a blast. Its nice to know your neigbors. Alot of places don't do functions like that anymore. For everyone who has had an unpleasant experiance with Vantage should give them another chance. I absolutly love coming in the office. They always stand to greet me with a smile and know me by my name. Now that is awesome.

love it here!!
We absolutely love it here at Vantage. My wife and I move in here almost a year ago and have been extremely happy with the staff and the apartment. We live in a 2 bedroom that is beautifully comfortable. My wife and love to cook and the kitchen is big enough for us both to work in and prepare our meals comfortably. What we love the most is the staff!! they are so helpful and are very caring. We once had an issue with a neighbor who we thought was a bit loud (and we understand this is apt living) and she took immediate action by informing our neighbor to keep in down. We are so cool with them now, we hook up to watch the games. Speaking of... the apartment has regular parties that my wife and neighbors attend. they have a lot of folks to meet, GREAT food to eat!!! They have aHUGE TV in the main room and serve beer, wine(that the wifey likes) and chili, and all the goodies!! this really is a cool community and i hope to call Vantage my home for quite a while!!

HORRIBLE STAFF
This is the worst staff and apartment complex by far in Midland. The staff is the worst I've ever dealt with. I feel sorry for the poor girls in there that have to deal with Julia and lie to everyone that lives there because that's what she asks them to do. I lived at Vantage in San Antonio and it was a total different place. Jennifer over there is very professional. I think Julia should get some training from her or even more just be fired. She's what ran me off from there. They do not help with anything. They complained about my plants on my porch whem my neighbors had beer cans and wine bottles from the night before parties.

rude, hateful and do not keep their word
We moved in the apartment in April of 2009.The security gates were broken more than they were not, trash piled up on breezeways, sprinklers covered every vehicle with Midland salty/hard water, cigarette butts everywhere, loud partying all the time, cars driving dangerously fast thru the parking lot........ We moved out before our lease was up but we paid the rent to the bitter end so as to fulfill the contractual obigation. Our move out was Nov. 30. The "management" (term used loosely and should have prefix-MIS)agreed to meet us for a walk thru and do our move out inspection. When I arrived the office staff that was supposed to meet us, was not there. The girl in the office was rude and hateful and showed no desire to help us at all. Because of our previous dealings with this office we knew better than to leave without a walk thru. Luckily, the maintenance manager, was there and did the walk thru with us. The apartment was spotless, we touched up paint, cleaned carpets as well as every inch of the apartment. We recvd a clean inspection from *****, and afterwards, J**** tried to say that our aparment was not clean and that we would not recv our full deposit. Of course I presented the inspection sheet that C**** had signed and she said they would go with that. As of Jan 22 we still have not recvd our deposit back. J**** put my wife on hold for almost 30 minutes last night and then left the office for the weekend before she gave my wife an answer for why we had not recvd our deposit. Previous to our dealings with the hateful rude J****, we had the unfortunate dealing witht he rudest, most hateful and unprofessional individual I have ever dealt with. Her name was I**. She showed great disdain for any and everyone that entered her office and needed anything. We were good tenants, paid our rent on time every time, followed the rules and left the apartment in perfect condition. We did as we agreed to and the managment at Vantage apartment has not. I would recommend to anyone looking to keep looking and not rent here at all. Kristen and Kristina and one new girl in the office that is a tenant,were the only polite and professional individuals in the office the entire time we were there. Again, we would rather sleep under a bridge than to ever, ever have that terrible experience again. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND KEEPING YOUR WORD TO YOUR CUSTOMERS?????????????????????

Its a great place to call home !!!
I love my apartment its worth every penny and utilities are so low its ridiculous. and the open concept of the apartment gives it many opertunities for decorating and the wall space is phenomenal and the kitchen is so spacious if your like me i love to cook and have get togethers its spacious and i live in the bigger one bedroom, and i love the fact that there is pet stations every where i have two dogs that love to run and it helps with the open grassy areas

Omg!!!
After reading the reviews, from which is aparent that there is no pleasing some people.... November is when i had moved in. In all my expirences,with apartment complexes in midland. I had never found such profesionalism,kindness,and warmth as I had found in Vantage. From day 1,I can safely say that I'am very happy here!!From Julia who has been pretty much amazing,to Heather,and Kristen who has been very helpful with my needs to making my stay here confortable.What can I say about Aaron, he just started and I think he's awsome. So thats my rebutle to all those dis-respectful people out there.

This place accepts low income housing!
It was a nice residential place to rent starting off, but after the recent downturn in the economy and the lack of filling the vacant apartments they turned to accepting low income housing. Once they did that, I noticed an increase in local law enforcement calls to the complex along with trashy people moving in. I was one of the first to move in to the complex and promised that this would be a premier apartment complex compared to others in Midland. I am very disappointed in living here now and do not think that this place is worth the high priced rent. Give this place another year and it will look like every other rundown apartment in this town. I will be moving out as soon as my lease is up, if not earlier.

Not What I expected
My time at Vantage is finally up and I couldn't be happier... I have never had this type of experience in an apartment before. Besides the lazy staff, there's trash every where because no one wants to "travel" to the dumpster, dog crap all over the property, parties at all hours of the night, and everything in my apartment was broken (which maintenance takes forever to fix). I would expect the staff to address these issues and try to correct them but I was completely wrong. Finally my lease ended and I moved out! Now I'm a happy resident else where! To those of you looking to move the angry comments you're reading are not a lie!!! Lease else where!

Too much money and noise...
I moved into Vantage in October of 2008. I was excited because I thought I was getting away from all the obnoxious people you usually see at other complexes who don't even live there. One advantage of this place is its a gated community. However, the gates always break. Management is OK. Now that the assistant manager is gone, the lease assistant Kristin is the new assistant manager. She is extremely nice and helpful. The manager is average. One plus is the monthly parties which allow you to get to know more people in the complex. I have quite a few nice neighbors but I live on the second floor and, with faux wood flooring and bad insulation, I have to walk softly to keep my downstairs neighbor happy yet have to put up with the constant banging from the people above me. As far as noise goes, it blows because you always hear your neighbors. The 9 foot ceilings are nice but the place is poorly built. By this I mean the paint on the walls. One thin coat of paint is sprayed on the walls causing any scrubbing of any messes on the walls to make the paint come off the wall. And they won't even give you the paint code. They make you order the paint from Lubbock. They even tried renting out my friends garage here. The old assistant manager called my friend a liar so he went to the Manager Julia and had her pull the lease. Sure enough, he had the garage. No apologies were given from the assistant manager, but as I said, she's gone so hopefully this place is run by a more competent staff. There is only 1 trash compactor in the far back corner of the entire complex meaning you have to drive your trash to the back of the complex just to take it out. I am moving out as soon as my lease is up because I like to have a bit of privacy when it comes to being able to listen to music and not have to be extremely quiet so I don't bother my neighbors. And as I said earlier which is what I'm going to miss about this place, its nice to have a gated community since you don't have all the low-lifes running around trying to steal stuff like you do at other complexes. I have heard mixed comments regarding staff but I haven't had any extremely bad complaints. Others have though and others like them. I am also paying $875 for a large 1 BR with washer and dryer already here plus another $35 for a carport which is nice since you always have your own designated spot and with the hail storm we experienced a couple of months ago, its almost a necessity. For the money I'm spending, I could have a 3 BR house. They were also giving away the first 3 months free to new signers of a 2 & 3 BR recently. A friend of mine wanted to renew his 3 BR recently and they wouldn't even give him a discount much less the 3 free months. I don't like this because when I signed my lease, rent cost more than it does now. Its BS that you're stuck with the highest rent regardless. And the pool gets WAY too crowded even on the weekdays. They show 2 pools on the map in the office but they only plan on building a tennis court on the other vacant lot. Electricity is also not too bad either. Mine is on average around $75 a month. The one thing really pissing me off though is Direct TV. I got cut off for 3 full weeks and they still won't give me a credit. They're not helpful at all and some employees there have been rude. I would suggest AT&T tv. Those are your only 2 options. At least with AT&T you're dealing with someone local and it doesn't cost more than Direct TV. In fact its a bit cheaper. I also forgot to mention that Chris, the service manager, is extremely nice. He is even an old high school friend of mine. He is very quick to help and takes his job seriously as well as having years of experience doing service repairs at other complexes. Very courtious and only due to the large complex is he not able to handle every day's service call that day, but they now have a second service employee making service calls a quick fix. I hope this review helped. I am trying to give an unbiased review of what I have experienced as well as what I have heard from friends who live here.

Highway Robbery
I have lived in the Vantage for almost a year now and the apartments and the atmosphere is not worth the money spent. $750 for a 600 sq ft apt? That is highway robbery. But yet they are practically giving away a larger 2/2 for $250 more. It makes little sense to me to ban alcohol from the pool area, but to throw monthly parties with all the free booze you can get. If you re going to ban it at the pool it needs to be banned from the apt parties, where the staff gets to drink for free themselves. Parking is a nightmare; I pay $35/month for covered parking, and I constantly have to leave notes on vehicles parked in my spot. They sent out letters months ago with promises of parking stickers and towing of cars for violators, and yet my paid for spot is being used by others instead of myself. We received a letter on our doors today threatening to fine all those who leave trash on the patio or breezeway, but yet they only provide one trash compactor for the entire complex which is also located in an inconvenient area, and leaves you no choice but to load up your trash in your personal vehicle. The trash compactor area is nasty, and is constantly packed, and leaves residence no choice than to leave their trash next to the compactor or to drive through the neighborhoods looking for a trash bin. Being female I am scared to come home to my apartment after dark due to the quality of people living in my complex. Calling the police or an ambulance and having them respond in a timely manner is a joke. I have on several occasions witnessed ambulances sitting outside the gate (when they do work) unable to get inside the complex and having to wait on a resident to leave so they can get inside. Since living here not only have the front gate receiver box been destructed numerous times but the west side fence was also ran down and destroyed, both due to drunk drivers. I have also witnessed a gun drawn police standoff which resulted in the arrest of 2 men and 1 female who had drugs on them. (all in front of the front office) Privacy is a joke unless you live on the third floor. A private moment with your spouse or significant other is not a private matter at all, and unfortunately those who are unkind to their children can be heard through paper thin walls. Please, save yourself the money and the heartache. We will be moving out as soon as lease ends. The staff have lost my respect, and I am truly let down on what seemed to be a promising residential place to live.

one of the most beautiful places.
First off, when we first moved in, the office staff was very helpful and tried to do whatever they could to help us. Anytime something has broke, or was already broken when we moved in, we told the office and no more then a week later, they had some one out there to fix it. The location could not be anymore perfect. It's quite at night and everyone seems to respect each others space. Sure the grass needs some work but this place has not even been open for very long, and when everything slows down from so many people moving in, the grass will get there. Our apartment is the nicest place that i have lived in since i have been on my own. Wood floors, walk in closets, all black appliances in the kitchen, there is enough room for everything in our apartment and we love the space. The office staff is very sweet and considerate every time we walk in the door. I would highly recommend moving to the apartments. They are nice, just like the staff.

LIve here and hate it also
This has to be THE WORST place I have ever lived. Incompetent, mean, rude and nasty management. Total Bimbos who don't care about anything except how to be mean and yell at the residents. This apartment is cheaply built, way overpriced for what we put up with and dirty. Dog poop everywhere because they never enforce the rules, and they probably don't even know what the grounds look like because they wouldn't be able to walk them anyway in their stelleto heels and short skirts. No professionalism to be found in that group. Dead grass, no grass, rivers of mud from the overwatering of the mud and the wasted water flowing down the streets like rivers make walking such a pleasure, not to mention the bear cans and bottles strewning the areas. They advertise luxury apartment living, if this is luxury, I would hate to see their description of ------. This place is filled now with thugs, gang bangers, drug dealers and what not. For what I am paying in rent you would think the place was located in Beverly Hills and you would expect more professional, working class people to live here. Save your self loads of grief and loss of temper, rent anyplace else but here!

Breaking the lease.....
My Fiance and I are so excited to get out of these apartments!! :-D They are such a let down. We were so excited about moving in at first...all up untill we got in and started filling out the sheet about what's all wrong with the apartment.... EVERYTHING. Then I thought, " O babe, don't worry the lady in the office said everything will be fixed before the construction guys leave..." yeah....no. The builders have been gone for months...and we still have holes, scrapes, permanent marker from the construction guys working on the cabinets, our knobs falling off, the cabinets arn't even straight with the wall... The office staff tells you whatever you want to hear to get you out of the office so they can go home. Moving here is a bad idea, when you sign that contract your in for a real treat. I have had broken glass on my porch for about 2 months now that I have complained about 3 times. They haven't done anything but accuse us of things we aren't doing, Ilah even called us liars to our faces when she was giving our 100.00 a month garage away to someone. Yeah BIMBO MUCH?? Great customer service!! Oh and o heck if anyone drinks on the apartment grounds but the office staff. You can only have parties if the office staff is invited, if they aren't... expect the cops to be called for noise... then expect signs up the next day saying no alcohol. I could go forever. Please take these comments into consideration when thinking about renting here. We are not tenants complaining for no reason, just making factual comments on our experiences.

Vantage is the worst.....
Vantage is the worst apartment complex in midland. We moved in December of 08 and have had problems ever since we moved in. From the front office personel being totaly DUMB and concerned more about thier ugly faces than the problems the tenates have. Every time i walked in i had to wait on them to put thier make-up away before they could help me. Then the security of this place is a "sham" the front gates never work, i think that they have been working for a total of maybe 2 monthes since december and its JULY now!!! Then there was a little 60 yr. old man that drove around in a security car. REALLY??? what is he going to do, or who is going to listen to him? Parking here is harder that parking at the mall on "black friday", if u get home after 8:00 p.m. good luck. And if its a weekend there will be more cars here than a used car dealership. The quality of the apartment is half a** i have paint splaters on my "fabulous wood floors". that was suppose th be removed in January. Then if me and my wife have somewhere to go we have to shower together and it has to be under 8 mins. The water heaters are very small. The noise here is unbearable i can hear my neighbor use the bathroom every morning and running his water to brush his teeth. Dont bother on washing your car if you live here the sprinklers will take care of that. More water will get on your car than in the dead grass thats out front. The "gym" if thats what u want to call it is a room with three machines in it. I was really disapointed in that so called gym. The pool is a joke it has 10 lawn chairs for the entire complex. At any given time there is about 25 to 35 people at the pool.

Luxury Apts my A$$
Glad our 7 months lease is over and we are GONE! It was absolute Hell living in this ------ complex. They told us this was LUXURY and we paid over $1200 monthly only to have the managers offer the thugs/unwed mothers/brats move in for 3 mos free rent,then later 2 mos free rent! While they nickle and dimed us for extra remotes,parking etc. We left with 3 service orders still pending. The only good thing about this place was maintenace staff/lady and the young maintenance white guy that was trying to work! The office staff was HORRIBLE especially the Manager...only used gym 2-3 times cuz it sucked. Never used pool. Trash dumpster was horrid along with bad sprinklers and stickers everywhere..my poor dog couldnt even enjoy a walk. We saw people come and go only cuz they were using free months rental...they really trashed this place...DO NOT BOTHER with this place!

BEWARE
Just beware that if you are apply to this aparment and then can't move in they will not give you any of your money back! Not even the deposit fee, I just gave this place $450 for everything to apply and now can't get any of it back! What a waste! I would not recommend this place! BAD customer service!!

Beautiful apartments
Went to look at an apt and the staff (especially the manager) was very friendly and helpful. I loved how quiet and secluded the complex is and I was very impressed by the apartment I was shown. The pool was beautiful and the workout room was an added bonus. I especially liked the gated community. Apparently they have get togethers for the residents every month which sounds like fun. Overall, I really liked what I saw.

I live here and I hate it!
I live in apartment H3## I moved here in January. And I hate it! Our building shakes everytime the wind blows, I can hear people walking up and down the stairs, our workout room is big enough for one person, and it takes forever to walk to the dumpster. Parking is horrible! When I complained about the lack of spots, the girl at the office suggested I buy a carport for 35 dollars a month so that I can have my own spot! Why should I have to pay for a place to park at my own place? Don't move here! Don't fall for the Radio Ad.

Save your hard earned paycheck!!!
There apartments are CHEAP!!! For the money we pay you would expect them to be in better condition. We were the first ones to move into this apartment and have only been here 4months. We are already breaking our lease and I am more than willing to pay the extra money. When we moved in the apartment was dusty and ther were scratches and white spots on the floor. Those things have not been fixed. Since living there. Knobs on cabinets have come off in our hands, cabinets have become loose, the toilet runs, the walls are so thin you can hear the not so private lives of your neighbor and the latest adventure is that our dishwasher has begun to spit bubbles at us. I do not recommend these apartment to anyone. Please take it from the people who have lived here. Save your money and rent elsewhere!!!

Okay, everyone was right.
I am an IDIOT. I read these reviews and thought "oh those are just a handfull of people who wanted a place to gripe". I signed a lease about a month ago and I am currently saving enough to break the lease. I have NEVER experienced anything quite this bad and I have lived in apartments for the past 17 years. It seems so nice when you look at the model they have. Then you move in and realize that he aesthetics are the only positive thing about this place. I admit, I like the modern look of the apartment. But I feel like I am not living in the projects of a big city. The cops have been at my building at least 4 times since I moved in. They double leased my parking space TWICE, causing arguments between me and other people who moved in. I usually gave in because most of the people I have met here look like they just got out of the pen and live in an apartment with 8 other crackheads. The apartment staff is a whole new level imcompetent. I have not walked into the office once time when I didn't have to wait ten minutes for someone to notice I was there. They are rude and you can tell when you are talking to them that there is absolutely NOTHING sinking in. It is like the blank look of a puppy dog. Dog poop everywhere, trash outside peoples balcanies, and a parking nightmare because they won't enforce the rules. Okay, I am done with my rant. DON'T FALL FOR IT - Go somewhere else to rent.

do NOT move here!!!!
You will regret it!!!! I moved in with broken cabinets and a very dirty apartment. The key wasn't even the right key and they tryed to change my move in date when I was outside with my u'haul and movers. This is just the start. My floor has paint all over it, my cabinets have broken twice, my "new" bathtub is peeling paint into the water when I am showering, there is beer cans that ppl throw down on my balcony. I have reported all this to the office and NOTHIGN has been done. I went in one day and she wrote my work order on a post it!!! Oh, and Julia the manager, she's the worst. She is never there. The office staff seems nice w/o her. I think her and the red head are the worst. The others try to help you, but without a manager what can they do. I tried writing a letter to the main office in San Antonio, but they will not tell you the address because they know what kind of review they are getting. The electricity is the most exp, the cable is throw direct TV, no local channels!!! It's horrible!!!!! Not worth your money and the stress it's puts on you. Oh, and the parties here are out of hand. I can hear my neighbors every night and they ahve not done anything about it yet. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!! I promise, you think it's nice looking and it's new, but I would give anything to go back to my old looking apartment, it never gave me this many problems!!!
