With the new management taking control, the past few months here have been nice. Even with the old management things weren't as bad as other "tenants" are stating. The complex is going through renovations, which are making the property and lifestyle of living here better. With that it may take a little longer for maintenance to fix or adhere to an issue, BUT I will say the new manager once notified of any outstanding issue WILL make sure it gets resolved. That makes my family and I feel valued and comfortable.

We have love raising our little family here for the past three years. The staff is very friendly and helpful whenever you go in for anything. It's very quiet and a family friendly neighborhood.

We have been living here for 3 years and have gone through several management and owner changes. We were so frustrated and about to leave when the new owners came in. I can honestly say the new owners are awesome. They have all new office staff which are fantastic. The ladies in the office are polite and courteous and easy to work with. The new owners are doing a fantastic job upgrading the property and catching up on all the backed up maintenance requests. The changes to the apartments are going well. I love the new hardwood floors and black appliances. The new bar/grill area in the pool will be nice once they finish. You'll be able to enjoy a nice bbq by the pool. They also put in a new dog park. The last dog park was just a small gated piece of grass. The new upgrades really updated theses old apartments. I can't wait to see the property ounces it's completely finished. Looking forward to a new kids area as well. We love living here now!

I have been a resident of this apt complex for many years (it was Silver Rock prior to recent sale) and although it is true they are offering a discount off your rent if you write a "favorable" review I cannot lie to potential renters. This complex has significantly declined in recent years to an all time low. The rents keep GOING UP despite the significant decline of the properties. Yes they are renovating areas of the property however if you walk the complex you will still be able to view the decline. There are many residents waiting months for repairs, including mold issues (call san antonio department of housing if you have issues they will inspect your apartment and get the issues corrected). There have been many water heaters that have burst in the past and mold is common within the apartments as they are just sprayed with kilz and repainted.(yes I have viewed the apartments and can confirm this) We get no notification if water is being shut off or if scheduled maintenance that is being done has been cancelled (ie they will be redoing the streets within the complex and certain areas were not going to be allowed parking on certain days and if you did park in the area it would be a 150.00 fine to "relocate your vehicle" however when it was cancelled/delayed we were not notified, the water was off in certain buildings for almost 12 hours, no email contact was received and we had no idea when the water would be turned back on ...etc) Since the property has been purchased in less than 6 months we have had multiple managers, you never know who you are going to see when you go into the office. Fees are huge in addition to rent you will pay for trash pick up of 25.00 as well as a trash fee on your monthly water bill for the large bins on property. Pest control has been reduced to annually, that is laughable, how do you control roaches in multi family complex's with pest control once a year. (yes you pay for pest control monthly as well) Recommend checking SAPD crime records. There is dog poop everywhere. The sprinkler system is not working and has not been for many years and once if it rains there is mud everywhere as all the grass has died (except for the weeds). I could go on and on however I do recommend that you view the complex in its entirety and not just the areas that they take you in when you are on the property and make sure you view the apartment that you are renting prior to finalizing the contract.

Ever since new management took over, they have made substantial improvements in just the past few months such as siding repairs, painting of exterior buildings and renovating the fitness center. The new staff is more friendlier and helpful as well

Please Listen to all the horrible reviews all of it is true! Beware of this place and the staff. The staff is horrible and never really help you. Ms. Dee is the only reason I signed my lease again but I just found out yesterday she is no longer there. The front office ladies will pretend to be nice until you sign a lease then it'll go down hill. They never want to help you. I was in the office and a new tenant comes in running saying there was a flood inside their apartment....the lady said I'll notify maintance. He asked how long it would take because they don't know where the water is coming from and she said whenever they get there and he asked about his belongings getting ruined. And someone in the back rudely says "that's why you have insurance". These people are horrible!

I am currently a resident in Silver Rock Apartments. Cant wait for my lease to be up so I can relocate. Upon arrival new management took over apparently to better the place I have not yet seen any difference if not worst. My light to my apt number that is above the Building number has been out for over 4 months now and still out, its an inconvenience because you have to wait for family or delivery outside because its hard to see the building number, I cant light is on order, really a freakin light fixture WOW....I highly recommend anyone not to rent here....

DO NOT THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY HERE!!! These apartments are horrible. The staff is incompetent and there are always hidden fees. Every month your total rent due is NEVER the same. Maintenance request take weeks to complete. You pay for "state of the art" gym, secured acces gates, and a business center and the apartments offer NONE of that. The gym equipments is old and busted. Same from when I lived here the first time 9 years ago! Crappy. The gates are ALWAYS broken. They never work for more than 1 day at a time. The parking here sucks!!!! There is no business center. The 1 computer they had was the same old outdated computer from 8 years ago. With all kinds of viruses. Don't think they will let you use their computer or printer, your SOL with that. They will not help. I can not wait till our lease is up. This place sucks!! And no one in the office/management takes ownership for anything. They have changed management 3-4 times in the last 3 years and just recently changed property owners but there have been no significant changes for the better. Still sucks. I only gave 1 star because 0 wasn't an option.

Lived here for just over a year.. So many problems Nothing got fixed within a timely manner more like 3 -4 weeks later... Their computer system was messed up and we couldn't pay online when we were on vacation got charged 120 dollars extra... Gates worked for about 2 weeks of the time we lived there results of my truck being broken into one month and then stolen the next month. Costed me thousands to replace.. Their cameras don't even work all dummy cameras.. None of the outside security lights worked and then Sonia would tell me they were just fixed well they never worked at all the entire time I lived there.. It is flea haven... Our dog always had flees and they were always in our apartment no matter what we did. So unless you like being of charged and having to worry about your security do not live here.. After we moved out they charged all kinds of fees for stuff we had wrote down on our move in inventory that they never even tried to fix

Washer had black stuff that got all over our clothes. They would not fix. Gates NEVER worked so anyone could go in or out. Filthy carpets when we moved in and we gave a pet deposit and they STILL charged us for cleaning of carpets and our dog is immaculant and we were there only a month. Nasty and dirty switches and oven. Friendly staff but over charge on things after you leave. Dogs barked all night and rarely could sleep. Would not recommend.

Very unorganized and unprofessional! I went into he office to pick up my deposit and administrative fee checks from the manager. I had just spoken to her and she said the two checks were available for pick up. I walked into the office and was told "sorry we accidently deposited your checks." WHAT! The checks were supposed to be held until the application was approved and I moved in. How can you accidently deposit checks of people who are not even residence yet? Then if it couldn't get any worse, they said they could not give me reimbursement checks until about 3 weeks. Are you kidding me? AWFUL!! Here is an idea, just write me a check form the checkbook. After all it is MY money! If they are not organized in the office, I don't know how they can get anything done. I am glad I am not moving in!

Selecting silver rock as my first apartment, I made a terrible mistake. The management is very Unorganized. Pest control is needed weekly instead of once a month on Mondays. The A/C is out dated they need to upgrade many things interior and exterior wise. The Landscape surrounding the apartment is sad. They should have zero-scape compared to bare dirt. They are more concern about collecting than fixing problems. They do a poor job cleaning before the next renters do their walk through

I have been here a month, staff were very nice all the way up until you sign lease...then downhill from there...I submitted my inventory sheet and have yet to take care of my issues. I call and they say " ohI'm sorry, I will put another work order". I do not get what I pay for. It's not cheap at all living here. My purpose for moving here is to be closer to my church. Residence drive fast in parking lots, landscapingis very poorly tajken care of, trrash dumpsters are always over filled. Looks very trashy.Impatient of the lighting outside doesn't work. Doggy park, is not a doggy park...it's a big poop area. Also what got my attention was they posted they had residence events. Well that never happens. I wish I didn'tsignmy lease here.

Worst apartment staff ever. Sonya has an attitude and isn't ever in the office. The management group is non responsive. I was never a problem at this apt, always paid on time or early but they wouldn't let me pay early. Horrible maintainence turn around and now they want to charge bogus charges after move out! Stay away!!! If i could put negative 10 stars I would! Move out checklist shows everything clean but the carpet had to be replaced for stains which are not marked on the move out check list!!

I am currently renting an apartment here and the management is very bad, my apartment flooded 10 days ago and still no one has been in to fix anything. I have been lied to by management stating that they would fix things and no one has. This is the second time that I have had problems with flooding in the two years that I have lived here and the same thing happens every time. I ask if they would come in an at least get the kitchen light to work I was told that they would but 10 days later the light is still not working. The regional management will not return any calls and nothing is being done, However they want rent on the first of the month. This is not a good place to live, so if you want to pay more, get less and lose your property to damage due to poor up keep of the facility this is the place.

I've been a resident for a number of years. The past staff was very friendly and helpful and the gym was always pleasant. NOW the staff seems disheveled and the gym is absolutely horrible. There are no free weights left and the treadmills are broken. There is no point in entering the gym. The grass is mostly dirt and clovers and maintenance seems to cut corners. The only constant is a leasing agent named Dee. Even with the obvious down hill tendencies of this complex, her attitude is always a pleasure. I and most of the tenants I speak with choose to do most of our business with her.

I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a new home! Although we sometimes have some issues the staff is always trying their best to come and accommodate us and our requests! I have lived here for 3 years and never want to leave!

Silver Rock was our home for six months last year, until my husband received a job transfer to Orlando, Florida. We loved our first floor corner 2/2 unit. Sonya (property manager at the time) and her team were always friendly and accommodating, and they addressed our maintenance issues promptly. The resident parties made the community a fun place to live -- and a great way to connect with our neighbors. When it was time to leave, the management made our move as smooth as possible. While this review is a little late in coming (we've been in Orlando for six months now), I would not hesitate to recommend Silver Rock to my San Antonio friends.

Do not move here..cant wait until my lease is over. Maintenance is horrible, work orders take forever to get completed, management overlooks the fact that it can take months for maintenance to fix things...they always have new maintenance staff or temps and this makes very uncomfortable

I have been here for 2 years and cannot wait to move. The quality continues to decline and the apartments are over run with roaches. There is no regular pest control to the apartments. A lady moved into my building recently and her apartment was full of roaches, dead and alive (the apartment wasn't cleaned before she moved in either and I did see the pictures). You cannot allow your kids to play in what little weeded areas the apartments have because they is so much dog waste and they never restock the dog poop bags (I say weeded areas because there is no grass, the sprinkler system has been broken for over a year now and they have no plans on fixing it so the only areas that get watered are to the entrance of course and they are watered by hand). Apartments are flooding because water heaters are old and not maintained. I could go on and on but I recommend you do yourself a favor and keep searching.

Excellent apartments. A really nice place to live.I've been living here for about 5 months, so glad I made the right choice. The Management/Staff (Sonya) treats you like family. It's also great when the office staff responds to maintenance request within the same day. I have great neighbors and friendly people all around.

Where shall I start? Please future renters, read reviews! This is one thing we regret not doing. I do not recommend anyone renting from this place. Horrible staff, horrible maintenance, horrible everything. They are nice apartments from the outside, but you're not getting what you pay for when you experience the inside. The pool was pretty much closed all summer due to "improper swimwear"... It was the color of forest green.. There is black mold in the walls which they say bleach and water can take care of it. Their "courteous security officer" always failed to proper ID himself and was very rude and unprofessional. It's like a dictatorship in that office. The staff writes out all these positive reviews, they are fake, I know, I was there when one in particular was typing it out. They ignore your work orders then say we are harassing them by coming in there to request to have them fixed. They let anyone rent there now. There is dog poop everywhere. Their business center is a joke, the computer has never been properly fixed so it shuts off on you every 15 minutes. Their gym is a mess, they have random equipment that don't work properly. They make it seem like they have a beautiful property with friendly staff but they don't. Please don't rent here and waste your money. I am lucky to be leaving this month.

When I 1st moved in 7 years ago I did so because the gate worked, the alarm system worked, the place was well kept and it was near stores I liked. I moved from here because the gate works occasionally, the alarm system has not worked for 8 months ( and evidently could not or would not be repaired), the landings have not been swept and are rather dirty, I had a water leak in the bathroom (water gushing from the toilet connection) this was not considered an emergency. I wanted to go to dish and not the cable people, oh sure could for $1,000 deposit and increase to renters insurance. Purchased a ceiling fan for the bedroom, they installed it but couldn't use it. Great to leave!

I've lived here for 2 and a half years and plan to stay until summer of 2015. I've had my rent only increase by $15 the entire time I've been here. I have nothing but great things to say about the staff - who have been here since I moved in which should say something about the property/company/management. My apartment over looks the pool and, even during the summer, I can truthfully say I'm never bothered by the noise (or lack thereof) when people are using the pool. The ONLY bad thing I can say about it is I have to park outside the gate sometimes if I come home after 10pm ANYTIME during the week. If that's the biggest problem, I'm golden.
