Worst management and think 10 times before getting in Silver rock
1) They will eat your security deposit or dish deposit by telling false charges. 2) They will charge carpet charge for even its clean I rented 10 years never got these issues. 3) rooms are small and water pipe rattles when someone flush all the way on each floor. Think in middle of night also it will wake you up. 4) pool and play area not maintained. 5) Mud all over between buldings. no lawn maintained between buildings. 6) Big muscuitos are always around pool and comes in room if you open patio door. 7) My car glass was broken by stone/hammer. I had to replace at my cost. Placed police case nothing helped. 8) If you argue for there unethical charges they will tell they will call police if you make noice. Think 10 times before coming to Silver rock. There are better option around nearby look for your alternatives.

Cheat and cheat
The management always cheat people my last month was stay was only 3 days they still charge full month for the water and including past two month which came out from no where. Do not including the water bills with the rent that is how they trick you. Bad management and bad services. I would rate this apartment at the bottom. Do not rent here.

pretty decent, quiet, and safe apartments....minor gripes.
I love this apartment complex. Its safe and gated which i like. Its quiet no loud parties all the time. Im a college student and I like that i can study and get good grades in a quiet place. The neighbors are nice and mind their own business so you don't have people bugging you all the time. now the gripes. The rent is a little high for my taste. But i guess that keeps the rif raf out so i can't complain about that too much. I don't like that i have to pay for valet garbage. I wish i could opt out of that. Im sure its a convenient service for some....but for me I can just take my own garbage out and have $25 extra dollars for beer money.

DO NOT RENT HERE
This place is terrible. Ruby in the front office is the worst. She is rude and full of her self. The apartments are filthy and don't even feel safe. Paper thin walls ensure your neighbors business is yours also. Parking is terrible and always getting notices about recent break in's. Don't Rent Here.

Seemed Great...Turned out to be a NIGHTMARE!!!
I have lived here about 2.5 years now. Problems started shortly after moving in. Management here seems to be a big part of the issue. They definitly do not go above and beyond and minimally do their job. On two occassions, I have had to go above the on site management's head and talk directly to Harbor Group. Landscaping is poor except at main entrance (where it is kept neat and pretty). Else where, grass id dying along with bushes. Management and staff do not walk their property on a regular basis as the overwhelming build up of dog feces around our area has been festering for months (even after I have mentioned this problem in writing as well as in person). There is trash laying around bushy areas from residents that has been sitting around for months. I have complained about obscene and loud noise from several of our neighbors, but there has not been any resolution to that. I have had damage to my car from kids that played out in the parking area (due to the fact that the dog feces was too bad to allow for play in the grass areas). I have had several maintenance issues that were not properly taken are of the first time. I have found faulty wiring in my child's bedroom closet light switch (which could have resulted in a fire). Finally, when having my old laminate replaced (after months of complaining), I came home to find glass in my carpet, stains on carpet from the workers, the job not done (but left that way), trash left behind from the workers, and appliances damaged. Mangagement not once came to look at any of the mess or damage left behind and apologized by phone. The lamanet laid was of such poor quality that after running my vaccuum over it(which I have always been able to do over many different types of laminate in the past), the brush of the vaccuum ripped holes right through the laminate. There are many younger college type kids living in this complex making all sorts of noise. Living here has made me realize my dream of owning a home. Needless to say, I am moving soon and will NEVER rent again due to my experience here!

Nice place, average overall.
I lived in this apartment complex for 2.5 years and generally enjoyed the expericence. I did not have any major problems, and the minor one were generally fixed fairly quickly. Crime: There were 3 reported break ins while I was there, but I never felt unsafe or insecure. Alarms are provided on each unit. There were never suspicious characters hanging around on any regular basis. Vermin: Not a major problem. There were stray buts every now and then, but never had any major infestations. Maintenance: Response is generally prompt, all issues that I had were promptly and completely repaired except the air conditioner. They replaced the old unit, but the new one seemed to have a coolant leak. It stopped working every few weeks to months. They would fix it promptly each time, but it would the break again later. Staff: They are courteous but from reports of some other neighbors were slow to respond to problems caused by other residents like noise and even were slow to respond when someone was parking in the neighbor's paid parking spot. There company is also very strict on deadlines and fees. Overall I would rate this complex as average.

Been here 3 years and love it.
I have been here 3 years and I love it. The staff is very professional and the maintenance team is very responsive and get work orders done within 24 hours or sooner if emergency. It's quiet and plenty of parking available. Prices are good for the square footage. Lotsa of trees which I love. You can not hear your neighbors and I live

Bad, bad, bad, bad idea to live here
When my family and I first moved in the place wasn't so bad. That changed in about 4-5 months time. They allow anyone and their brother to live there to include illegal immigrants. They have college kids who sit in the fountain at the pool chugging beer but amazingly NEVER have to leave the pool to go to the bathroom. They have Lloyd and Harry running the front office (Dee is the only decent person there IF you're on her good side). There may be 3 dog owners out of 100 who actually pick up their dogs mess. Kids poop in the pool FREQUENTLY! They have 2 competent maintenance guys. The others are just collecting a check. How can you get something fixed, and you will need to get something fixed, with only two guys who work? Certain people parties outside until 3-4-5 in the morning and since the windows aren t sealed and the walls are paper thin you can't help but wake up. The heating/cooling are only there to make you spend money because the apartments aren't built for efficiency. Parking near your apartment may require you to leave work early every day. Plus they illegally keep your deposit even after you clean the place to look better than it did when you move in. If you re not there for the inspection they can t nickel and dime your deposit away. I ve lived in a few third world countries that I would gladly return to instead of ever living at Silver Rock again. Please people DO NOT MOVE HERE--unless you enjoy poor maintenance, high energy bills, poop in the pool, drinking beer at the pool and relieving yourself without ever getting out of the pool, are an inconsiderate neighbor who has no respect for other people, hate cleaning up your dog mess, incompetent property managers the choice is yours.

happy overall
I have lived at Silver Rock for 3 years now. I have been incredibly happy with it overall..no the management isn't the friendliest, or the most efficient, but they've always met my needs and addressed my concerns. I have had a few maintenance requests, and they have always been very good about getting someone there in a quick manner. I have hardly heard any loud music or anything since I've been there. I would definitely reccommend living there. Parking isn't always the best, but you'll find that with any apt. complex. The only thing I have to say that is negative is the Valet Trash Service. They implimented it at the beginning of last year, and my apt. isn't far from a dumpster, and so I feel that service isn't really worth paying $24 a month b/c they don't even come every day. Overall though, I loved living here, and will miss it when I move out in March. I highly reccommend this place as your home.

Love Love Love It !
How could one not be happy at Silver Rock Apartments? The maintenance staff is professional with a speedy response to all of their tenants repairs. I have experienced this many times. The staff in the office is always ready to assist with my needs. Example: I needed an item faxed and it was done for me. They keep this apartment a "10" and essentially I adamantly believe it is due to their concern and caring attitude at keeping our community beautiful. We pay our rent ontime, we are courtesy to all our neighbors, therefore...... I have nothing negative to document. I had sold my house to downsize and literally reviewed at least 30 complexes in San Antonio (coming back to this place 3 times) and it was more than just the well maintained buildings and grounds... it was the leasing agents (and management) that made me feel welcomed. Erin, Ruby, Christine and Dee (my leasing agent) really do care about keeping my home a safe and beautiful place (as do I).

Beware of your security deposit
Make sure to take pictures before and after you move out if not they will make up stuff to keep your deposit and get more money out of you. I will be taking them to court because of this matter. THe trash fee is no longer $25 it is more than that they add the 25 to your monthly rent and then an extra $10 to your water bill. My electric bill was less than my trash bill and that is just ridiculous. The pool is dirty most of the time so even if they open it, it is kinda nasty to get in there. Oh and if you live on the 1st floor the air condition fans are right next to your bedroon which is so annoying and wake up with a headache the next day.

Horrible!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!
This place is a JOKE!!!! Don't waste your time or money on this place. When things break they do patch work to "fix" it. Takes them forever to get around to fixing things. If you move out early for damn near any reason you have to pay back all the discounts they have given you. Read your contract CAREFULLY!!! I def. would NOT recommend anyone live here especially if you are a military family. Everyone in the office with the exception of Mrs. Dee are HORRIBLE!!!!! They will talk down to you every chance they get. Oh and the "gated" community is a joke as well. The gates are almost always broken so they are stuck open. Parking is crazy short. This place is just plain HORRIBLE!!!!! Read the reviews people don't lie...

DO NOT MOVE INTO SILVERROCK
this place is nothing but bs. First they act so nice like their your best friends then as soon as you sign your lease its like they turn into totaly diff people, aaron is the wrse leaseing manager ive ever had to deal with she knows nothing about what shes talking about, christina and dee are both stupid and dont even know how to do their job its like they just picked them up off the street, they make up fake charges that you never even accured and you cant even dispute them cause they will just threaten to not accept your rent which then you will get hit with late fees as long as they arent taking your rent, im telling you do not move in its all bs aaron should be fired.

Horrible
The Silver Rock Apartment would not be a good living enivornment for a family or any one with teens. The management does nothing when you have problems. When they allow two people who weigh collectively over 500 lbs. to live on top, knock pictures off the walls, kids bounce balls off your cars. There are loud parties, unsupervised children, beer cans and cigarette butts every where. The pool is closed more than open. I like the staff but they do nothing to assist you.

NOT A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE
the mamnagement is not good at all. The only heplful people are Ruby and Dee. You can never find parking and now the we will have an increase in our rent due to the door to door garbage pick up. I have no problem taking out my own trash. I feel this should be something the renters should be able to decide and not forced. DO NOT MOVE HERE

response to valet trash pick up review
I am happy we have a valet trash pick up. We were paying a fee for trash pick up anyway, which was for the dumpster pick up. I didn't like that I had to pay a fee for the dumpster, but when they started this new valet trash pick, I thought it was great and now I don't mind paying the fee cause I'm getting this new service. Either way, I was paying the monthly fee, and now I'm getting a luxury with it now. I am perfectly capable of taking my own trash, but with an infant, I don't like leaving my baby in the apartment alone while I take the trash out. Now with this new valet service, I don't have to leave my baby alone and I'm not stuck with daily dirty pampers. I don't see the big deal, if you don't want someone picking up your trash, then take it out yourself. Either way, you still have to pay a fee for the dumpsters. Nor would I refer to the people who pick up our trash as slobs. I seriously doubt anyone who picks up trash is gonna be dressed in business attire!!! C'mon, Have you seen what the city workers wear when they are arm deep in trash. Nor do I ever hear them picking up my trash. Its a small plastic trash can. What noise could it possible make?! Also, I've never had a problem with Ruby, nor have I ever noticed any type of attitude. She has always been courteous, professional and well mannered when I've needed anything. I totally disagree with the review about the trash issue. Its a great benefit for those with children, the elderly and the physically handicap.

What a dump!
I just left the dump known as Silver Rock, or as it is known to it's resident's, Silver Crock. When I first moved in, it didn't seem too bad, but that's probably just the front the present to get you to live there. Once you move into Silver Crock, here are some things you'll find: 1) Bad attitude from the office 2) Broken Machinery (ex. treadmills, computers, gates) 3) Lazy management 4) Lack of parking 5) Leases that seem to change after you sign them 6) A pool that looks dirtier than the Hudson River 7) The office that won't return your calls 8) Rent that that climbs almost 20% yearly 9) An extra, non-negotiable charge for trash pick And to top it off, they claimed I had damaged the place when it was in better condition when I left. It even has notations of the previous damages on the inventory I signed when I moved in. DO NOT LIVE AT SILVER ROCK!!!!

I am perfectly capable of taking out my own trash
This has really ticked me off. I have normally always taken my trash out everyday, I do not like trash in my unit. I don't feel I should have to pay some slob to pick up my trash, I can use the exercise going to the dumpster, it isn't that bad. I don't feel that we should be made to pay for this if we do not choose to have it. I am capable and physically able to get my trash out. I don't think they realize that some people cannot afford this. They just want to sock it to the tenants instead of helping the tenants when we are all suffering having to pay high gas prices as it is. Then when it comes time to renew the lease, they will probably hike that up higher as well. I don't feel we are all getting our moneys worth there. I only live there because it is a convienent location for me. I don't have much trouble with the office staff, etc...I think Ruby has improved her attitude a little bit though. But this paying for trash pick up is pathetic! we should have an option if we want it or not, not make it mandatory, they are socking it to us. Im not too lazy to take my trash out. This valet thing is a pain in the --- having to hurry up and get your trash out and then worry if a roach is going to be climbing on the can and coming back in to your apartment. I don't need this crap!!! Plus, these guys are not the quietest when they pick up either. I like to have peace and quiet, this is just one more inconvience to my having that peace and quiet. They had better reconsider all of this, I do not like this valet crap at all....people need exercise of going to the dumpster at least plus it gets you out and about in the complex.

There are better places to live in the same area
***rents are going up, but this time it is going to be for "trash pick up" the residents are going to be receiving 5 day a week at door trash pick up by an outside company Valet Waste, ****THEY (THE TRASH COMPANY) ARE MARKETING THIS TO THE APARTMENT COMPLEXES AS A WAY FOR THEM TO MAKE "ANCILLARY MONEY", so everyones rent will be going up (upon renewal or new leases) by 19.00, to a total of 25.00 monthly and it MANDATORY!!!!. FOR TRASH PICK UP??!!! I don't think anyone within the apartment complex has to walk more than 50 ft (if they do it's not much farther) to a dumpster currently! I really recommend everyone stay away there are much better maintained properties at competitive prices,if not much better prices within the same area, same schools etc. The fitness room equipment is more often than not not working, the pool is usually dirty and frequently closed.

Low class management
Management is a pain to deal with. Average apartment complex that looks to get as much money from you as they can. Unethical and unprofessional staff. Equipment in fitness room was often broken and never fixed. Pool was often closed for one reason or another. Would advise others to stay away and rent elsewhere.

Poor Management
I have been a tenant for about 3 years now and I have had nothing but trouble with management. I had a discrepancy with my bill and went in to speak with ---- about the situation and she simply responded, "That is the way that it is on your contract" as to say tough ---- in so many words. This is not the way that I want my property management to be and as of today I am looking for a new place to live. For all you apartment hunters out there looking for a place to live, I personally would go down the street a bit to Braun Station. It is a bit more expensive but I am sure the management is much better to deal with and I am sure that they will go out of their way and do whatever they can to satisfy their CUSTOMERS.
