I am resident at Westover Oaks Apartments and I am more than pleased to call Westover my home. While going though the leasing process I would like to say that the office staff was very helpful and friendly. When movng into my apartment I could not find anything wrong in it. They even did a safety check with me upon signing my lease. This is the first time any apartment complex has ever done that and I have been renting for 28 years. I had a light bulb go out about eight weeks after I moved in and maintenance was over to replace it within three hours of me reporing it. They seem to care about their residents. I would recommend Westover Oaks to anyone looking for a upscale apartment complex to live at. My thanks to the Westover staff for providing me with such a great place to call home.

Every complex has it pros and cons... I will start off with some pros and then the cons... The apartment community is great!! If you take the time to meet and greet your neighbors it makes your experience here that much nicer. Having door-to-door trash pick up, online work orders/rent pay, and a gym facility is a great perk. However, with that being said I have to admit that it is a little unpleasant to see trash around the apartment complex. I am not sure if people are not closing their trash bags correctly when the door to door people come to pick up the trash or if they are throwing it out of the window but it is not a great sight. And when it comes to people that own dogs I have to say that I have witnessed people not picking up after their dogs and it perturbs me....there are some people that are good about it to keep the community looking good!! I also must say that the transition from property managements has not been the best and has been VERY unpleasant. With the new managing property being here now for about 6 months it seems to be getting slightly better but still is no where never what was once here. They still have ALOT of improvements to do. Hopefully by their 9th month things will run a lot smoother...but until then I guess we have to JUST BARE with them. Even with some of the cons I have listed I would recommend this property to anyone that may be looking for a great community.

Our experience with Westover Oaks has been the worst ever. If you need anything from the office you can never get an answer without being told someone will have to call you back yet amazingly they can figure out how to lease apartments with no problem. Also, make sure and take pictures when you move out. They will try to scam you into paying a cleaning fee for having a pet even though the pet deposit will more than cover the cost of cleaning the carpets and the apartment was left in good shape. These are new apartments but will be aged in no time. It's not uncommon to see trash floating around in the stairwells and people don't pick up after their dogs. Agree with the people being loud in early morning hours with no respect for their neighbors.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW FOR HONEST PROS AND CONS!!!! CONS:Some people have visitors that have absolutely NO RESPECT for others. Some people ride through the parking lots at 12-4 in the morning like no one else works! People invite others over and leave lime-a-ritas, trash, and crap on your door step. People are allowed to have these extra HUGE dogs that live on the upper floors and it sounds like a stampede of miniature horses throughout 2/3s of the day (VERY ANNOYING). There is hardly ever any security around when you need to make a complaint or report at 2 in the morning because your neighbors don't know how or when to silence or discipline their miniature horses (25 lbs dogs)from running around and barking all night! You may see trails of dog poop in the breeze way seldomely. I live by myself (no pets) so I like my apartment and property neat, peaceful and quiet. PROS: For the most part the staff is pleasant. My only issue (from my own experience) is leaving a message (with someone) and asking them to call you back and they don't or if they do it's not in a timely manner (and again this is just MY experience). I consider timely manners to be the same day if not the following morning. Other than that they are still very respectful and helpful. They are not rude at all, that makes a big difference. They are very good with notifying the residents of any crime, issues, apartment walk-throughs and little things they like to do for the residents on holidays. So overall I DO RECOMMEND people to move here. I consider it to be safe, friendly, and most of the time pleasant (other than the few noisy people that live here). The apartment itself has been good to me! No maintainance issues thus far, no pest or bug problems. Parking is not an issue for me at all unless I come home past 12am but there is still parking nearby (side of building). I give it a 7.5 out of a 10 and as long as the noise doesn't increase I WILL be staying right here!

I use to live in a complex where both my husband and I called the office Disney World because most of the time they didn't know what was going on or what to do to take care of things. Here at Westover Oaks I have found nothing but such great staff. We moved here while I was 8months pregnant and the staff was so friendly and so helpful. Then we found out that it was bought by another company both my husband and I were very skeptical because the previous apartments same thing had happened. After talking to a staff member in the office she was so friendly and such a warm heart lady I felt a little bit more at ease. She knew me by name and my kids too right away. Anytime I need anything they are there to help and answer questions. Maintenance has always responded to our needs quickly. We love it here and will be staying here for a good while.

I am currently in the process of relocating from Houston to San Antonio and Westover Oaks has been beyond helpful the whole entire process. In attempts to be proactive, I toured the property in February and had an amazing experience. The property was/is GORGEOUS, 2 dog parks, appears to be ample parking, stunning pool and cabana areas and a top notch gym. EVERY SINGLE person i have had interaction with has been perfect--kind, respectful, informative, genuine and positive. I feel as if everyone has gone above and beyond and definitely made my experience wonderful (and I ask ALOT of questions). I have done tons of research in apartments in San Antonio and have not found anything near as nice for the cost. The value is clearly there, not only in the BEAUTIFUL finishes (granite, stainless, moldings) but in the quality of pesonnel. I am beyond excited to live in the complex (pending relocation)!

My husband had a liver/kidney transplant in Oct. and we lived in another town. The hospital said I needed to find an apartment fast but it had to have a walk in shower. The only one available was at Westover Oaks. Soon after I moved in Westover Oaks came under new management. Things seemed to change for the better, such as ouside security flood lights. They were always there but not ever turned on until Venterra Realty took over. They have been super helpful. They are considerate of my husband's illness and do not allow the maintence staff to enter the apartment unless they are well. My husband is unable to fight off any sickness. The maintence staff is always very quick to come fix any work order that I put in . I asked permission to have a Bible Study in the library and the manager was quick to accomadate me. The whole staff is very friendly. I am happy with the choice to live at Westover Oaks

During the management transition, things at Westover seemed to be degrading fast. The trash was overflowing almost weekly, and sometimes it seemed as if it were not picked up at all. However, there have been some welcomed improvements. The new management now sends email updates of the happenings around the community. I find it very convenient and satisfying to recieve these updates. The new staff seems nice and also eager to help the residents whenever possible.

We only lived here for three months, but believe me, that was more than enough. It's not that they're not nice apartments. They have a decent finish out and decent amenities. The problem is that the management and security does nothing to enforce the rules. In our short stay, we had the following problems: -Parking rules are not enforced. Meaning, if you pay for a covered spot and someone takes it, that's just too bad. You can call security, and they'll tell you that they can't do anything until a person is parked in your spot for at least 24 hours. Theoretically, that means a person can parking spot hop every 24 hours and never pay anything. So yeah, if you expect to be able to use what you're paying for, you're going to be very disappointed. -You have to smell your neighbors' smoke almost every time you enter/exit your apartment. Not only does the smoke from the balconies waft into the breezeways, but some people will just sit there and smoke on the stairs so others have to walk through it. -We had a neighbor that left their large, particularly loud dogs home barking for hours, and security/management didn't do anything about that either. -We started being notified of vehicle break-ins within a week of moving in. Apparently it happens fairly regularly based on the amount of notices we received. -Many people don't clean up after their dogs in the dog parks. There are bags and a trash can RIGHT THERE, but apparently it's just too difficult. If you want to walk across the park without having to clean your shoes, be prepared to pick up after other dogs too. -Maintenance gave us no notice before they showed up with a plumber to fix a problem we didn''t even know existed. I asked them to come back in 30 minutes or so, and they gave me five minutes (Oh, that's okay guys, I wasn't busy or anything!) -There were various other problems with noise throughout our time here (late at night there were sometimes drunk people on their balcony making noise, almost every night around 2 or 3 am a neighbor between building 5 and 6 would come home revving his engine/thumping his sound system, etc.) Security may have tried to resolve stuff like this, but for the most part, it would just keep happening. The only good thing I can say: The management company has changed since we moved out. So, maybe they will choose to do something about these problems. I am writing this review based on my experience living there though, and I expected much better.

I have lived here from November 25th til currently jan 11 2013 so far I have no complaints. I live in a one bedroom 3rd floor apartment and I it's very quiet the only noise I ever hear is people going up or down stairs but it is never at a crazy hour of the night. Parking is good I only have 2 vehicles so its ez to find parking plus it helps that people can rent garages so it frees up space. They have an area for the dogs to run around and take care of business not large are but serves its purpose. Complex is very clean I have not seen any trash flying around and there are plenty of dumpsters around complex to throw the waste and not far either there are some located by each units like 1 and 2 for ex share 2 dumpsters and 4 big trash cans plus there is valet trash pick up nearly every day u just set the provided trash receptacle outside your door on the provided day and time and the valet trash service comes and picks it up for you how awesome is that. The one thing I have to say is really top notch and that I love the most is how secure it is , there is no gate code and the only way you are getting in the complex is if one you have a key fob to open the gate or 2 you go to the directory find your party's apt and it will txt them to let them know you are here and well come down and buzz you in with the fob. Occasionally no system is perfect but someone gets in by following somebody in but they are generally here to visit. All I can say is that I love my apartment the set up is nice I have the Monterey oak version which adds the his and her sinks but granite counters and a large garden tub plus it's close to alot of places.
