Im leasing for a year and hope to keep this review/rating updated as time goes on. In my apartment search over the last 2 weeks I've found the Reviews and Ratings of residents to be somewhat helpful. I'll be renting a 1 bedroom. Let me just say Ive looked at just about every Luxury, Pseudo-Luxury apartment in Alexandria. Ive also looked at a few in Arlington. To name a few Ive viewed the Alexan Carlyle, Halstead Tower, Halstead Arlington, Siena Park, The Alexander, Park Place and Van Dorn, The Linc, Carlyle Mills, Strand, Meridian at Carlyle, Reserve at Eisenhower etc. etc. I dont have time to comment on them but they all have their pros and cons. And all offer concessions in one form or another. Back to Bailey'S Crossings: After the Halstead Tower overleased and told me they rented my apartment I was back on the street looking for a pillow upon which to lay my head. I happened upon Bailey's and couldnt believe what I could get for my money. The Leasing Consultants were very polite and accomodating. My consultant was very thorough and attentive. If she ran into a sticky point she just referred to the Senior Consultant. When driving to Bailey's you may not like the area because of its proximity to a major throughfare (Route 7) . However the complex is off the beaten path. At the moment (july 1st) the complex is about 50% leased. As a result you dont get the full jist of the community. I can prematurely say that it seems quiet and offer a sense of a small community but I think I'd better wait until its at full capacity. I think Bailey's Crossing contains about 420 units. Apartment: Bailey's is brand spanking new so I'll be the first in my unit. It contains Granite tops (mine is like a cream/white/grey mix) in both kitchen and bathroom, Cream (not white) cabinetry w/chocolate accent (knobs), efficient GE stainless steel appliances (micro wave included). There a patio off the living room and the view is quite serene. Greenery and shrubbery are all well manicured and maintained. I have large house furniture. EX: A king size bed and large dresser that fit into the bedroom comfortably. Common Hallways: Very large, open and spacious. Can move in furniture w/out damaging a thing. I should also add that I ran into a resident while on the elevator. I was not w/ the leasing consultant at the time and asked the resident her opinion of Bailey's. She assured me she was very happy and that this was a wonderful place to live. Mind you I'd asked residents at some of the other properties I listed above and sometimes got not so favorable reviews. Besides the apartment itself I like the location. It's centrally located to many venues I frequent regularly. You are not too far from Old Town Alexandria (5 mi)(restaurants and shops ) as well as Pentagon City (5 mi)...more restaurants and shops. Target is across the street as well as several supermarkets. Even my favorite WHOLE FOODS (5mi). As well as a Farmer's Market 2 miles away on Columbia Pike I'll be back to update this review. Hopefully it will be helpful to someone.

    Management should be replaced!

    The apartments are overpriced and management is clueless of how to manage/maintain the property. They all need to take "Property Management" and "Customer Service" classes. The Assistant Mgr. recently came onboard, she is very unprofessional and untactful. The Property Manager is a liar and does not care about the residents, the Leasing girl is a liar and makes derogatory comments that are unacceptable. They are all about the money, I will continue to fight for what is right for me and my fellow residents!!!!
