Takes several months for roof leaks to be fixed. Elevators are down at least once a month and parking garage gates take multiple days to fix. Another building has chronic problem with fire alarm going off at all times. On a happy note, my pet enjoys the little park.

I love this complex, its beautiful, the apartments are spacious, and the space is very comfortable. If you are looking for high quality living close to Arlington, Alexandria, Falls Church, McLean, and DC, Baileys is the best complex you can find in NoVA!

The community is quiet and in a very convenient location. The apartments are large and the prices are much better than similar apartments. Make sure to do a thorough walk through and inspection before you sign the lease. Getting maintenance to respond and resolve issues correctly the first time or at all is extremely difficult.

The property and apartments are beautiful. The fireplaces and balconies are a great touch along with a nice pool, bbq area and outdoor lounge with a fireplace. Gas cooking and optional FIOS internet are big checks in the plus column however dealing with the staff and maintenance has been a nightmare. They lie to you and tell you what you want to hear to get you to sign a lease and once they've got your contract set and your money they couldn't care less about you. They are unorganized, incompetent and unresponsive when you have issues or maintenance requests. It's a shame because this could be a 10/10 place to live if you never had to deal with the staff and nothing ever required fixing.

Alarms are always going off, gates are always broken and air conditioning is regularly failing. Cleanliness of property needs to improve especially in the garage. Power is constantly going out as well.

Trash is a constant problem. This says more about the residents than staff. There needs to be more trash bins in common areas because some residents apparently are too lazy to use garbage chutes that are in each floor.

I lived here since the beginning of 2012, which means it has been almost 7 years now. That's quite a long time for apartment living. However, I could not find a single reason to look for another place to live. In fact, I am very happy here and I plan to stay here as long as I possibly can. Overall the place is just perfect for my lifestyle. First and foremost, it is situated in an excellent urban location with a lot of restaurants to choose from for lunch or dinner. Second, the environment is quite pleasant with beautiful landscaping. Third, the fitness center is very convenient for my daily workout. Fourth, the maintenance staffs are very helpful and quick whenever I submit a request. Fifth, the office staffs are very professional and helpful whenever I stop by for anything. In the first few years here, I noticed the staff turnover was quite a lot, so I do not recognize them whenever I stop by because there were always new faces that do not know me and I do not know them. However, in the past few years, I was able to see some familiar faces in the office whenever I stop by. I think this is a good sign. I believe in human interaction. I feel comfortable talking to people I know. Bottom line, I love this place very much.

We just moved into Bailey's Crossing in March, after searching the area for quite awhile looking for the best value. We really feel like we found it! Jessie and the rest of the leasing staff has been great to work with. I was a little nervous about some of the reviews, but we are so glad we chose Baileys Crossing. The buildings and grounds are well kept. We had an issue with our garbage disposal when we moved in, and they took care of it immediately. There's always maintenance and cleaning crews hard at work here. Of course, there are some rude dog owners who don't bother to pick up after their pets, but I've seen the cleaning crews out taking care of that too (shame they have to). About our unit: we really love it! Even though it's the same square footage as our last place, it seems to accommodate us so much better. Tons of storage, and a really good use of space in general. Love the upgraded fixtures and new carpet. It just feels clean, fresh and open. We lucked out and got the top floor so we have high ceilings and a great view! We looked at lots of condos in the area in this price range, and they were in older musty buildings with shared laundry. This is definitely the best value we found. Location: We looked all over Alexandria. We are so glad we ended up in this location instead of landmark (saw lots of condos in our price range down there). There's just more going on in Baileys Crossroads. Everything you need is right here. You've got tons of shopping and dining right there on Leesburg Pike, and the cute walkable Shirlington Village is a 5 minute drive. Interstate access is super easy, especially since there's a side road that avoids King Street traffic. I read on City Data that this area is ------, but I don't find that at all. About some of the other reviews: I think I read about the AC not working in some units. Maybe we just lucked out, but ours works great so far. I also read the walls are thin... we haven't heard a peep from our neighbors, and hallway noise is very rare. I have heard the fire alarms go off in another building once. I've also seen an elevator break once, and was fixed within 12 hours. What can you do, this stuff happens! It's just life in an apartment, and it seems they do their best to stay on top of everything. Amenities: the gym is really nice for an apartment complex, and there's a great BBQ area and nice pool. There's also a beautiful and quiet business center which worked out great for my stepdad's conference call during his recent visit. We love taking our dog to the bark park, which isn't huge but it's great for her to have a place to run on the grounds. There's a party room that's very nice with a pool table and a gorgeous patio facing the pool. Parking is great; easy to find and well lit. Guest parking is a breeze too. Security seems pretty good with all of the doors requiring a key fob. What else can I say, we are so glad we found this place! I really wanted to offer my perspective since I saw some negative reviews, and I think some people are just impossible to please. If you're on the fence and you're not one of those people, just do it!

Great community to live in. Highly recommend checking out this community tucked away in Bailey's crossroads. Very dog friendly. Great amenities and beautiful landscaping. Neighbors have been great and you feel a sense of community with the people who live here.

The LADIES in the office should be more profesional and knowledgable. My allway sometimes smell bad. Lighting in bedroom and dining are too dimmed. Patio should be cleaned every 2 years. Provide carpet cleaning more often than once a year.

I have no complaints with Baileys crossings apartment complex. The apartment complex is clean, free of trash, and attractive. My favorite part of the complex is the clubroom. It is very nice and classy, perfect for parties and gatherings. I like my 2 bedroom apartment. I don't hear my neighbors. I would live here again after my lease is up.

The maintenance process is an absolute mess. It is July, it should not take two weeks and four attempts to fix the AC. Only after we demanded a window AC unit did management provide any sort of stop-gap solution.

It's a pretty nice place to live; however, several years ago the property was meticulous and the management very responsive. Management has changed numerous times for the office and maintenance. The property is going downhill, not cared for as it used to be, and management non-responsive, but of course, still we receive annual rent increases. There used to be great community calendar items like monthly pizza night to purchase whole pizzas for $10, social nights with the tenants like sip and paint, build a terrarium, bake sales, fund raisers, etc., that were very fun and inviting, but it's all stopped even though brought up to each new management. We really like the location, but sad to see it dwindling.

Maintenance requests are not completed in a timely manner. My recent request was never completed in over a week. I also complained about the lighting on the grounds. Light was out and the tree was covering lights nearby. Maintenance request was closed and nothing was done.

Management needs to fIx all the broken stuff first and maybe clean the place. Nice layout of the apartments and complex. Needs some love and care to bring this place back to the way it was when the complex opened.

When relocating to a new area of the country, it can be difficult finding a new home. After searching for several months I am very pleased to call Bailey's Crossing my new home. The apartments are well appointed, clean and spacious, my neighbors are nice and the management very responsive to my requests.

The apartments are engineered horrible. Not worth tge rent & parking fee. Maintenance takes more than 3 days to respond to issues. When time to renew lease management will attempt to increase rent over 25%.

Bailey's Crossing has been a great place to live. The apartments are well laid out and the finishes are great. In addition, it's a quiet community, I rarely hear my neighbors and everyone I've met is very nice! Management is responsive and any maintenance issues have been fixed quickly. Another thing I appreciate is the parking. I can always find a spot and there is designated parking for my guests - something that was a must have for me in an apartment community. Overall it's a good value for the price and I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking for a new place to call home.

There are three areas where inconsiderate pet owners failed to clean up after their pets. 1) Building D, 4th floor hallway; 2) Building D, 4th floor stairwell D2; 3) Building D, 3rd floor stairwell D2.

Elevator in Building D needs to get permanently fixed. It is broken on a consistent basis. Also, why not have the same amenities as before - the gym equipment (elliptical and treadmill) have TVs that we used to get service on, but now we don't.

A very beautiful place to live in but the leasing office and maintenance services are not as good as this place should have. In addition to other reasons, the shuttle service to the Pentagon City Metro station is what made me choose to live here.

Baileys Crossing is a decent complex, but as with all of the other rental properties I've lived in, it has its flaws. Overall, I believe the apartments are overpriced for the area they're in, but the apartments are finished nicely. There have been cleanliness issues, specifically with bugs and the trash/recycling areas in the parking garage. Maintenance takes a long time to respond to anything, and the leasing office staff, while friendly, is not quick to act on just about any concern we bring to them. Moreover, we've had security concerns with a neighbor having things stolen off of his balcony, and a recent break-in that the management company did not seem willing to address until multiple residents inquired as to what happened. The complex is not metro accessible, but multiple bus lines are nearby and is close to 395. This is a good place to own a dog, as there is a puppy park on the grounds and Shirlington (a very dog friendly town) is a 20 minute walk down the road.

Bailey's Crossing is acceptable. Nothing more, hardly an unlivable place. But I do not plan to stay another year. Have been living here for 3 years (since 2013) and there has been a noticeable decline in the quality of the management and maintenance of the property since Monogram took over in 2015. That's always the story when management changes: they promise improvements but it usually spells cost cutting and employee turnover. That said, I recommend Bailey's Crossing because although we love to imagine there are countless properties in the area that are cheaper and have zero problems, that's almost never the case. A perfect place in this area will cost you dearly. PROS: * Mostly quiet community of neighbors who don't bother each other . Nice kitchen counters and in-unit laundry . At least in my building, I never hear parties, loud music or disturbances; no smoke or weed smells . Maintenance has quickly addressed my repair requests and I haven't had an major components fail . Ample parking in the underground garage . Well maintained exterior and recreation space . Convenient to DC, Arlington and the airport . Multiple layers of controlled access keeps visitors from showing up at your door CONS: . Overall property and care for areas where residents love has gone down . Trash room frequently remains overflowed with waste for several days . Stairways are hardly ever cleaned. EXAMPLE: Dog feces say in the hallway near an exterior window for several days even though I alerted the leasing office multiple times and submitted work requests. I even contacted Monogram directly. Nothing for days. The whoever removed the dog waste only picked it up as didn't sanitize the area. You can still see exactly where the dog waste baked in the sun. Before that, a broken and spilled bottle of wine sat in the stairwell for weeks, and before that URINE sat in the same stairway even after calls to the leasing office. . My kitchen sink routinely emits sour smells and makes loud random burbling noises when it's not in use. I've never experienced this in any other home or apartment I've lived in. So embarrassing when you have guests over and your sink sounds like it's clearing it's gargling. . Garage gates in the most used entrance are broke every other month -- including right now as I write this review. It always takes weeks before the gate is repaired (same situation this time). . Outdoor track lighting used in the kitchen and siding areas burn out over and over at $9-$12 a bulb. Not to mention the bulb is in short supply, or sold out at the nearby Target or Home Depot . They used the lowest grade carpet in earth for the living spaces and bedrooms; impossible to keep clean or keep looking new . Cheap laminate kitchen and bathrooms cabinets . There was a shooting last weekend between a resident and intruder at 2 AM. The resident was shot and hospitalized and and while the management company is downplaying the significance, I don't think it bodes well for the complex. People will certainly be moving out. Lastly, Bailey's uses real time market vacancy to price its units. This means that while I pay a pretty low and reasonable rate for this area, neighbors of mine who moved in on a day when the vacancy rate was low pay as much as much as $200 to $300 more a month for the same exact unit. Prices shown on the day you tour are magically lower and "extremely likely to increase" on subsequent visits. My yearly increases have also been very reasonable, 5% the first year and only 2.5% or so the last two when I renewed early. My friends and neighbors haven't been so lucky and several have moved because of outrageous renewal increases like 13% in one year. My luck here has been pretty good so far. I'd probably say above average given some units have been flooded or are subject to the random false fire alarms at 3 AM. Your mileage may vary.
