all in all this great apartment. its bright and open, lots of windows. no bugs, ever. the neighborhood is very quiet and its a great location, close to shopping centers and metro. Maintenance is fantastic, if something breaks they are on top of it.

Been living in the Kingstowne area for 5 years, and the Elms has been the best of the three primary apartment complexes. I have lived in both The Elms and the Edgemoore, and a friend of mine that I visit regularly lived at the Sussex. The Elms has the best community feel of the three and I think presents the best value as well.

I came to the elms because of their high ratings. I felt they were a little artificially high after living here. I've been disappointed with ac/heating, landscaping on our side, cold showers when dish washer is running, loud drinking parties, not kid friendly etc

Great community. LOcation and security of the place are some of the factors that make us thing of renewing our contract. The staff are fantastic and very friendly. Always a smile in the their face and in their eyes. We feel like we have an extended family.They always give back to the community.

Overall a nice and enjoyable place to live. The community looks good, apartments are nice, and the staff is friendly. Good location convenient to shopping and dining. The cons are inadequate A/C units, small stackable laundry machines, and being able to hear neighbors in the unit above.

My experience has been nothing but great overall. The staff has been very helpful during my tenure. My apartment has been well kept and maintenance has been very responsive to my requests. Overall, I enjoy this property and the team that runs it.

The staff at the lease office are very friendly& professional. The apartment is also very clean, safe, convenient and feels real home. I would like to live in this apartment for a long time and always recommend to friends and family members to join me.The promotional offer is very helpful for people like me who are single family households. I'd very much encourage for the apartment not to increase the rent so that we have to leave the place and look for other. I always value the time I live with my kids as precious time as it's my first experience to live alone as a single mom and I have never felt secured to live with my two kids.

I love the kingstowne area, everything is close driving distance. It is very nice to have several shopping centers and restaurants near by. I like how we are able to use several community centers in kingstowne that are built into the cost of our rent.

As a member of the Kingstowne community, The Elms at Kingstowne offers a great place to call home. The community has plenty of amenities on site as well as access to Kingstowne amenities (gym, pool, walking trails, parks). The area is extremely safe for outdoor activities with family/pets and is within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Its close to a metro station and has a metrobus stop at the community entrance. The management and staff are extremely responsive to issues which are typically addressed within a day. I have no complaints.

This community is professional and family at the same time. They are welcoming and make sure that you are happy in your home. I have moved around quite a bit for the past few years and I am happy to have finally stopped here! There is a good reason why the Elms at Kingstowne has such a high rating and it is because they take the time to care for the community and its residents.

The staff working with the Elms at Kingstowne are very accommodating, helpful, & friendly. The grounds and the appearance when you first come in are pleasing. I feel safe here and I am so glad I made this apartment at The Elms in Kingstowne my home.

I have lived at The Elms of Kingstowne for 15 years, and have always been pleased with all aspects of their responsiveness, maintenance and service. It is a lovely place to live. There are also many social activities organized for adults and children.

Me and my wife are absolutely delighted to be in this community. It has a very nice setting - one has option to either select wooded views or road views - we chose the road view as we love watching cars and people on the streets. It is a very convenient location with 3 groceries within a 1 mile radius, food, convenience shops, restaurants, lifestyle shopping, mall, etc. etc. It is close to great walking, jogging and biking trails - feels like you are within nature yet so close to activity of commercial centers. They have fantastic floor plans - we love our floorplan with open living dining area, lots of sunlight, cathedral ceiling on our top floor sunroom, big bedrooms, plenty of closet spaces, nice interior paint, great balcony etc. Only issue has been that we can sometimes hear our neighbors through walls or their TV when it is in higher volumes, I think. Management and staff including Gary and Kim are ever so courteous - they recognize by name out of all the numerous residents. You pick up the phone and their gracious voices will welcome you - whether you are a current resident or looking for a place to live. Maintenance problems are fixed very professionally and on time. Snow removal, cleaning of staircases, garbage/trash collection is great. It is also great to have access to Kingstowne's recreation center as a compliment for living in the community. Outdoor landscaping is well maintained, exterior lighting is nice. Overall the community feels very safe. For these reasons we are continuing to stay in the community - it feels home!

Great community and area, but expensive. The mall and restaurants and bars and running trails are all available and in walking distance. Nearby interstates, metro and highways to avoid traffic jams. Multiple gym and pool access for those who live in the community.

Most my fears of downsizing from a large single family home to an apartment were laid to rest when we moved to the Elms! Office staff, maintenance crew and neighbors make this a community, and it always feels that way, even today 2 years later!

It has been a dream come true experience. Our overall satisfaction, including our as a resident at this community as compared to any other apartments was outstanding. The access to shopping, entertainment, restaurants, schools, public transportation, major roads was amazing and convenient.

Amazing. We have had no problems whatsoever since moving into the Elms at Kingstowne and plan to renew our lease for the foreseeable future. The neighbors have been great. The Elms at Kingstowne is also located in a great area near a lot of different restaurants, etc. Great community, great staff!

Overall, the Elms at Kingstowne is a decent complex but they need: - Guaranteed/designated parking spaces for each apartment (one space per apartment) - Upgrades to cabinets/counters/appliances/overall interior - Somehow reduce the noise associated with residents opening and closing their front doors - Better soundproofing between the apartments

The management staff has a very personal, hands-on style. Even when there is turnover, everyone is helpful and friendly. They are very quick to resolve any mechanical issues or issues with other tenants. This is a small, quiet community. I love my new renovated apartment!

I'm very happy here - the grounds are well-kept, I have never had to worry about safety, and the maintenance crew and office staff are friendly, prompt, and overall do a great job. The office also organizes community events, which encourages you to meet other people that you might not, otherwise.

I love living here. Close to shopping, metro, restaurants, church and all my friends. Would recommend this quiet place to live. Neighbors are very friendly and look out for each other. Maintenance & Office staff are very helpful.

Our house was not designed for aging in place so we decided to move to an apartment. Moving to the Elms has turned out to be a wonderful decision. The service and staff are great, the community is lovely, our apartment is spacious and comfortable and the complex is well located. We will be able to live here even after we stop driving-there is a grocery store, drug store, pet store and restaurants in walking distance and excellent public transportation to Metro, the Inova Healthplex and Springfield Mall.

The Elms at Kingstown is a first rate community supervised by a first rate management staff. My dealings with them have always been conducted in a professional manner. I would highly recommend this community to anyone in the Virginia area.
