I have lived here for more than 6 years in 2 different apartments as my family has grown. The Elms is by far the nicest apartment community that i have ever lived in. The staff makes you feel like family and not just a resident. Their activities for the residents are fun and enjoyable- not boring. I love all the charitable events they host (blood drives, yard sales, movie night, and pool parties). I attend them all because they are fun and i get a true sense that they value me as a resident. I like that the staff also mingles and has fun along with the residents. I plan to live here for a few more years for my job.

The outcome for sour location Exceeded all expectations, The staff at the Elms is responsive and their support is great. the location is the best, Surprisingly it is a walking location for all my wife's (non driver) needs, She walks tot the strip mall stores She is able to walk to the Kingstowne malls and she can walk to the Metro. Station at Franconia. It is a four minute commute for me to metro in the am.

This is is nice community which provides outstanding attention to maintenance my issues. The staff immediately tries to address concerns and the staff is good about answering questions. The apartment area where I am located is set off from the other buildings so there is a good deal of privacy. Unfortunately, parking is an issue.

The community has been great. My only complaint would be the car wash. If people aren't parking at it then the hose is tore up. I like to wash my car. The area is quiet and close to everything. Your only options for cable are Cox and direct TV but most complexes are limited on that choice.

We just moved in two weeks ago and are happy with the location of this apartment complex. We also love the staff and their friendliness and professionalism. We chose this apartment complex while overseas, so after we moved in we realized the kitchen and bathrooms have not been updated, but everything is very clean and orderly and all problems have been addressed immediately.

Elms at Kingstowne has been a wonderful experience. If I were not moving out of the area permanently I would be pleased to continue living here. I have been extremely pleased with the staff, especially the manager, Gary. The appearance of the grounds and apartment is great.

I have been very satisfied living here. The apartment is a good size and has been well maintained. The grounds of the complex are well maintained and the staff is always very friendly and responsive. The location is very convenient, as I work nearby.

Overall, my wife and I experienced an excellent quality of life at the Elms at Kingstowne, Alexandria, VA during the period 2006-2017. While there were ups and downs in terms of the maintenance of the apartment complex during out 11 years at the property, the replacement of the windows and replacement of the aluminum siding in 2016 GREATLY improved the quality of life in the complex. One thing that did not change was the professionalism of the Elms of Kingstowne staff.

There was a nasty email from management this week complaining about kids - get this - running and making noise. Well, I was shocked. The smarmy salesperson told us neighbors like each other and it's really family-friendly. The kids look happy and play nicely and someone COMPLAINS about them. So, management wants to force all the 6-13yr olds to go play in the tiny, scrubby Tot Lot, where there's broken glass and trash scattered. I could go on, but staff will just follow up with some form response about the great community that pretends to not see anyone or complains about anything at all possible, and how well they compare to other places.(Many staff live at The Elms, so that gives them an advantage in falsely boosting their ratings) I was in a rush when I moved here and didn't notice the draft from under the doors coming in, or the rotted window frames, or that the salesperson was just that - just making stuff up to sell something. There is a decent way to live, and that's not it. So, get used to the terrible equiptment always breaking, never maintained, total lack of sincerity or honesty from staff, and paying over market for this luxury. Ugh. Can't wait to get out.

Highly recommend The Elms at Kingstowne! The manager and staff are fabulous and always very responsive and pleasant. Couldn't ask for more. The apartment is roomy, comfortable, and the location is great. Love the large balcony and floor design. We have truly enjoyed our time here and can honestly say this is the best apartment experience ever.

The Elms is a wonderful place to live. Great location for people looking to take advantage of all that Kingstowne has to offer. Maintenance staff is attentive and responsive. All online requests I submitted for maintenance were usually completed during the next day. The pool is a decent size for the community and the leasing office is nicely decorated with some delicious free snacks. No real major complaints.

This is the number one apartment in the Kingstowne area. First thing you get the best bang for your buck with the size of the living spaces and the quality of life. Second it is in prime location with everything you need right around the corner. Also R&R metro is only about a mile away so complete access to DC yet you are just far enough that you get a quaint space to reside in. One of the best things about this complex is the staff. The staff are the most helpful, flexible and and community oriented group than any other complex I have ever lived in. They provide an atmosphere of family and not business. The maintenance group is on scene immediately and provides outstanding service. I work at night and sleep during the day. I never have even known they were there and anything I have requested has been fixed when I woke up. To summarize this community provides the greatest service, in a prime location, with all the needs for everyone and it comes all at great price. There is no other community in Kingstowne like this one.

I too have read all of the reviews and i love my community. Living in an apartment is challenging anyway but I understand that I am not going to always get what I want. But I will say that the staff both maintenance and office do their best at trying. They have always been pleasant at every interaction and do a great job at communicating with me via emails personally and for all. It's a shame that as soon as someone doesn't like the rules or owes money they all of a sudden hate the place! Funny. You can tell which reviews those are. For those legitimate apartment shoppers, its been my home for more than 13 years and you can't go wrong by choosing to live here. These people really care about us and the entire community. Just donated blood again two weeks ago right in front of the office. How nice is that! Made $175 at the yard sale earlier this month. Looking forward to the summer pool party too. I never walk away empty handed as I always win one of the gift cards the give out. I guess I am a little biased because this is my home! My true home! Thanks to the entire staff both at their head offices and on site!

I read reviews about this apartment complex and thought that the previous residents were overreacting, but this place is as bad as they said it was. This apartment complex was a nightmare to live in. Firstly, the walls are so thin that we could our neighbors conversations above us, as well as when they used the bathroom, and when they walked. Secondly, the staff is HORRIBLE. They have no idea what they are talking about and getting consistent information out of them is out of the question. Thirdly, if you don't get back to your apartment by 9:30 you will not have a place to park, and since they do not tow you can expect that when your neighbors have people over that you will have to park very far from your apartment. And lastly, I hope that you never eat or drink in your apartment because if you do and get one small stain in the floor they will charge you astronomical prices to get it removed. This complex is overpriced for the facilites, finishes, and amenities that it offers. Don't live here, you will regret it if you do.

I've lived at the elms at kingstowne for about 3 years now and i really enjoy it. The staff is very friendly and the maintenance is too! They usually have any service that i have requested done the same day. Although i did have an a/c problem once and it took two days but they needed to replace my entire unit. That was ok because the weather had broken and they kept me in the loop. The only issue i really have is that i would love to have a built in trash can in one of my cabinets. They communicate so well through emails, which i prefer because i am always working or not home to get a phone call. They have great events for the residents ( love the crab feasts in the summer) and they even fed us breakfast last week as we drove out of the community. They held a blood drive early in the year and since i give regularly it was nice to be able to walk to the clubhouse and donate. I hope they continue that. I have to say that they really are the best in communicating with the residents. I just wish they would get assigned parking for the residents so i know i have a guaranteed space each night. It can get tight but I alwasys have a space. I recommend living here 100%.

I can't saying bad about the Elms, we have lived here for almost 6 years. If we need something repaired they send someone as soon as possible. We enjoy the staff and their impromptu dinners or lunches and I say impromptu because I work so much I don't get to see the display of posters and other eye-catching items, they have a way of making you feel so at home. I feel as though they are family and try to treat them so. That is a staff you just can't do without and the reason it stays full. I always love stopping in if I am walking my two Bischon to say hello and occasionally someone will come out and look at them and play for a few minutes and they love the attention as much as the staff likes to play with them. I could never imagine living somewhere else, we are now empty nesters and are getting used to the quiet house but we love it. We sit out on our deck at night and watch the deer or any other animal we wee. Thank you for letting me tell you what a wonderful place the Elms at Kingstowne. I will say one more thing my husband rented the apartment "without me" well he was called up to active duty and had to find a place to get us up here and I worried about his choice. I mean the wife should be with them but he did good all by himself and it was the staff that continues to be in the office today which says they love their job to be here from 2006 to 2013.

I've lived here for about a year and so far this has been the best apartment complex I've lived in. I am in the military and move around more than most people. I've lived in the DC area a couple of different times and this is by far the best apartment complex I've rented from. Grounds are clean, the pool is nice and secluded, and its convenient to two different metrorail stations.
