A quiet, beautiful community with well-maintained apartments and very professional staff. The community is within walking distance of a shopping center on one side and Old Town Fairfax on the other. I'm never had an issue with the facilities that hasn't been quickly and completely resolved.

Great. Maintenance staffs are prompt and professional. Knows how to fix and makes sure residents are important to them. Highly recommend the community and apartment. Cornell did excellent job fixing the vertical blinds and closet door.

My apartment building is usually quiet and is backing woods. Maintenance staff completes orders fairly quick and I have not had many issues. You should consider van metre apartments if you like the area.

Disclaimer: I am currently hoping to hear back from management regarding several issues, and will edit this review accordingly if they are resolved. The apartment itself is fine for the price. Older, the rooms are large but the walls are thin. You will hear the neighbors. They will hear you. I have a lower unit so it has a patio. Plenty of space there. The biggest issues I have had are the kitchen sink backing up repeatedly. This happens every three weeks or so, starting a chain of disturbing events: maintenance showing up whenever they feel like it, often unannounced and entering the apartment after a single knock. When I traveled over the weekend they entered my apartment and the only sign of them was that they left the door open and ajar. Others had to intervene to keep my cat inside and possessions secure. The actual plumbing issue has never been fully resolved. I assume the upstairs neighbors have been putting entire blocks of lard down their drains so I can share their dinner. The complex should invest in a high-quality drain snake to use weekly. In short, it is decent for the price if you are okay with security and sanitation issues.

Great Property

Moved here with some friends and the property is great with lots of great amenities, including convenient parking, nice pool, and gym! The office staff were super sweet and helpful, especially Shamicka Neal, who was a ray of sunshine and helped me renew my lease and answered all my questions. Love loving here in this little community.

Great place to live!

Perfect place to live in Fairfax with easy access to nearby DC, GMU and shopping centres. Fairfax Sq Apartments has very good neighborhood and ambience. The maintainance is very good which made our stay very comfortable. The staff here are very friendly, Ms.Shamicka Neal helped us a lot throughout the process and made it easy for us.

Awesome place to stay

The apartment was very comfortable and big enough and so are the people in the leasing office. They are very helpful. Especially Shamicka Neal. It also has many amenities like the swimming pool and gym facility. Overall a very good experience staying here.

Everyone here is very kind and the maintenance staff and housekeeping staff are also very kind. This community is very welcoming and very diverse. There's a lot to do nearby and there is never a full day.

It's okay but I could do without the overflow of trash, dogs (small yappers and big ones) barking all at once daily and early weekend mornings, and open marijuana smokers every weekend. I'm not renewing my lease.

The experience isn't too bad, but isn't good either. They are always on time to charge you for rent, and if you missed a day, you will immediately find a letter on your door and get late fees that increase as the days passes, but when it comes to maintenance and repairs they are a complete disaster. They temporary fix the problem but never solve it completely. I placed few work orders over a week ago, and I'm still waiting for them to come here and fix it. On top of that I received an email saying that some of my work orders were completed. One time I placed an order for my tub because the paint was falling off because they repaint it so many times that it creates layers of paint that falls off because of the humidity., so they came and repainted without peeling it off before. So here I am again placing another order because I'm having the same issue. The washing and dryer machine are old as hell, they don't work properly. For each load of clothes I have to wash it twice and then run at least 5 cycles of 40 minutes! For them to get dry! Of course, my electric bill is getting higher and higher for that reason. They just come and "fix it" temporarily instead of replacing it.
