I have been very pleased with the update of information. There are some repairs that needs attention. The apts community maintains is quite efficient. I wish the garage area was nearby. Parking areas are great.

Good community and apartment. However, the walls are really thin so I can constantly hear my neighbors. I can hear my neighbor screaming and shouting not just in their apartment but also in the hallway. The floor is not reinforced so I can feel the vibration when neighbor is stomping and running indoors.

There have been multiple changes in management leaving too much room for error and negligence. It used to be a wonderful place to live, but now the garbage is always over flowing, there are car repairs being done on the property. People don't pick up after their dogs and maintenance sense of urgency is subpar. Office staff is nice, but that has never really been an issue. The quality of the community seems to be going down as now we are getting big families moving in, that surpass the number of people who are supposed to live there. This creates no parking spaces open, people throwing trash on the ground and toddler children running around the streets with no parental supervision.

Everyone is friendly and attentive. Office staff and maintenance personnel are expedient and always available. Great place to live and the neighborhood is friendly and safe. The location is convenient to shopping and the metro is only a couple miles away.

The apartment is clean and in good condition. The only problem I faced is leaking in toilet in my first day which is fixed in the following day. I guess that's because this complex is old. Even though, it is so clean, neat and quiet. I enjoy staying here

Living here has been really nice in comparison to the horror stories I have heard about other apartment complexes in the area. Maintenance and everything have been pretty great, but the leasing office could definitely be better.

It is a nice quiet community and it is very close to everything you would want to be near. Whether you are student in school or working full time this community is very convenient and will fit most lifestyles.

Great place to live, people are nice, very safe, near fairfax county police and court house. Not that far from Tysons corner mall, fair oaks mall. Come to visit the beautiful apartments at Fairfax Square, you will feel like at home

I stopped by while apartment shopping. The complex showed up in my GPS so I decided to check it out. I was looking for something affordable and not too far from Centreville. I stopped by and the person who greeted me was Amy who was so nice. She told me that someone was going to help me out and did I need any water or juice or anything. She continuously checked up on me until someone came. Eventually she told me her manager would give me information when she was done with a phone call. The Manager Melony eventually came and she was so easy to talk to. She gave me the tour of their apartment that was across the street. It was alot of information but she was so informative and gave me all the information I needed. I am still shopping around because I do want something closer to Centreville but the day ended fairly well with the information and just the pleasant atmosphere of the staff.

The cost for the amenities, location, and quality of the apartment was a steal. It is the absolute BEST quality you can find for the price. I dealt with David De Jesus and it was literally the best service I have received all year from any apartment or home hunting encounter. He was knowledgeable, and professional. They are VERY COVID-conscious but not unreasonable like some apartment complexes. Every aspect in the details I found about this place was transparent, and true/honest. I love the place, my apartment is clean, the neighborhood is AWESOME. Everything you need is 10 minutes away. You're not far from downtown, from DC, or other major attractions. Fairfax Square/Van Metre is highly appreciated and highly recommended.

New updates after talking with their manager: We find a way to save a few portions of money caused by the errors of their website and miscommunication and inaccurate info conveyed by their staffs. Although this is not the best result for me, their staffs tried to help me within their process and maybe the best they can do. They will be better without the miscommunication and inaccurate info conveyed earlier. They promise me that I can contact the maintenance team for any questions I have and will follow up for satisfactory solutions, but since I'm busy these days, I postpone contacting later and will see if those can be solved. However, hope no one else will face the problem I encountered when they move in. For the noise, I have called the office three times during the summer, and the one answered the call said they will document my neighbor. Not sure whether the manager checks system record on summer. However, at the third time I called the office, they said the best thing I can do is calling the police, which did not help a lot and I still needed to stand for the noise and until I moved to a new apartment. -------------------------------------------- What the leasing office what to do is just ask you to pay more and more money, and what they said are invalid. DON"T WORK WITH -----------!!!!! He didn't help and will only make you pay more money! I signed the lease based on his confirmation, but that's what make me pay 2000 extra money. He also won't reply to you after signing the lease about any problem for the new apartment! The new apartment is also not cleaned! There are bugs in the new apartment and spots in toilet! It looks like either they didn't clean after last residents moving out or they allow somebody to live here after cleaning. The quality If your neighbor make noises, playing music, or yelling during 12:00am - 7:00am, which is their quite time, they can't help, and what you can do is just stand the noise from waking you again and again or fighting with your neighbors. My earlier experience living here is not so bad since the maintenance team is really helpful and response rapidly, and other neighbors are friendly and always with smiles. However, the things I mentioned above can make all maintenance team's effort back to 0 and make Fairfax Square a terrible place to live in!

They make a lot of mistakes, but they also do their best to make up for them. Miscommunication and mishaps are a natural part of managing a large apartment property; what makes the difference is the property managers taking responsibility for their end of what went wrong and following up to correct it. The staff at the office are very responsive and do listen when I have a serious issue or something complicated to explain.

The location is nice and quiet but the neighbors are a little loud. This is not the fault of the property, but it can be distracting. When one of the neighbors got extremely loud and disruptive, the office took care of it swiftly. After putting in our own work order, we noticed how fast the office is to act.

It has been an incredible experience in just the few months that my roommates and I have moved in. The staff has been helpful in any questions and concerns we've had. So far we've had two issues needing maintenance, and both times the issue was resolved very quickly.

From the moment we saw this community, we knew we wanted to live here. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of space in the unit. The community is very clean and the staff in leasing office are very professional. Maintenance always comes quickly and are very professional. Would recommend this place to anyone whether you are single or have a big family.

Is been nice to live here. The community is so quite and has everything we need to live. On the first floor of my billing there is someone smoking hard stuff almost every day. Not very good. Despite of that. The community is so nice.

Very disgusting will squeeze money out of you at every opportunity. Most recently randomly changed parking regulations and charged even more money for not bringing back the old sticker as if they don't have records of who had old parking passes. Extremely inconvenient and inconsiderate of rentors. Fairfax Square values only money and after that do not care.

Great place to live, the maintenance is super fast and friendly. Also the paper work to sign a lease was easy. Lastly, the whole complex is quiet and friendly. I would recommend this place to fiends and family.

The community looks decent and peaceful. Very quite place to live in, and the apartment is very clean when we move in. The AC is working well and the carpet is clean. However, the washing machine is a little bit small outdated, and not clean when we move in.

We had a lot of issues on the day of move-in, because of miscommunication from the office staff. this was a big headache and took hours to resolve. there is always trash outside, on the sidewalk and the grass, cigarettes, food, etc. The trash at the trash compactor frequently builds up. there is a lot of sidewalk for walking which is nice, but the trash is not great.

We moved into a 2-bedroom apt but that first night we found that it was cockroach infested. We had to stay at a friend's house for a week leaving our boxes half un-packed already... We bought a number of sticky traps and the next morning they were full of roaches in every room. The staff we had been working with was understanding and sympathetic, but when his supervisors came back from the holiday weekend, it was clear the management thought differently. They claimed the exterminator came to treat the place and that there should be no more roaches and that they would start charging us for rent the following day... They also implied we had perhaps brought the roaches?! The staff had admitted that exterminators had fumed the other apartments in the building a few days before and that they might have all traveled up to ours (on the 2nd floor) so they clearly knew they had a roach problem... we couldn't believe they were trying to blame it on us and charge us for a place we could not live in. Thankfully we found a new place to live immediately and when we returned to pack up again so we wouldn't get charged, we found a number of live roaches still and saw that the exterminator hadn't treated our place but simply replaced our sticky traps (full of roaches) with new sticky traps.... We found a few in our boxes still when we moved to our new place but once we killed those we never saw another again. Though we got our rent/security deposit money back, we lost so much money with the moving costs, buying roach traps, and the number of dry goods we tossed... All in all, I would say that having roaches is one thing, but the way the management responded was absolutely unacceptable. We have a number of friends who were looking to move here soon after us but also decided not to as they also saw another open unit with dead roaches and heard about our experience.
