The leasing office was so helpful. We were in a very difficult spot and they worked with us so we could afford to get this apartment right away.

I moved in to a perfectly clean townhome. The property is well maintained, quiet and the management and maintenance team is exceptional. No hesitation to recommend this property to friends or family.

Dante rocks. Fastest, friendliest, most complete and competent mx I've ever known. Rory is extraordinarily responsive, helpful and friendly. Really lucked out finding this place and such great people.

Lived here for close to a year and of all the renting experiences I've had, this was by far the best. Like any place, some pros and cons, listed below, but bottom line is, If you like something just a bit secluded and away from the northern Virginia congestion, this is a great place to check out. Pro's: -Staff is awesome, very flexible on anything from rent to move-in/move-outs to pets -Quiet neighborhood, away from the major roads (this appeals to me a lot being from a small town) -Parking is adequate, unless the idea of walking more than 20 feet is too much (which, sadly, I know for many people it is) -Some amenities within walking distance (grocery stores, some fast foods) -People who lived there (at least during my time there) were actually friendly (unheard of, right?)...I did minor repairs to my car in the back lot (which, by the way is huge and always has parking) and had multiple people, including the police officer who lived there, offer to help. -Never heard of a single instance of break-ins, violent crime of any nature. -Always saw kids playing in the small playground or basketball courts in back, never seemed out of control. I don't have kids myself, but I could see this being a good place for a family. -Paid WAY less in electric, gas, etc. than I do now...don't think this has much to do with the company as the area, but i'll take it. Con's: -Rent was slightly higher than other places we looked at (I'm talking 30 dollars or so, nothing crazy) but personally I think anything over 500 a month for rent is outrageous anyway (still getting used to NOVA sticker shock). -If you're taking 66 into DC, the afternoon traffic is a bit nuts.(I left around 5:00am, missed most of the morning rush). Trip to the Ft. Belvoir area isn't bad if you avoid 95 though. -Major shopping (Wal-marts, Targets, Mall) is 10-15 minute drive...to me, this is not a con, I prefer to have breathing room over feeling like a sardine, but I know to some this can be a factor. -No on-site gym. Again, to me, not an issue. The Freedom Center is about 10 minutes away and their prices are very reasonable for a fully-loaded gym. Plus, most apartment "gyms" I've encountered typically consist of a couple free-weights and a broken treadmill anyway. -In our place, for some reason, the bathroom was huge... unnecessarily huge...like, took-up-part-of-the-bedroom huge. But I could see this being a pro to some. -The washers and dryers were a bit small for my liking. -We couldn't get anything but Comcast...and they are just...just terrible...but I had heard rumors that Verizon was supposed to be available (can in no way confirm or deny that).

Pluses and minuses, the rent is exorbitant for it being in the middle of nowhere Manassas with no amenities - started out great, went up significantly; unlike traditional leases they will not allow 30 days notice its 60 day which can be prohibitive. Maintenance was responsive, Dante' is awesome - no complaints there. Not much walking areas for walking dogs, no fenced in dog park and the neighborhood could be quite noisy in the A.M. - grounds/landscaping always seemed to be cutting/pruning grass and trees. Rent office staff was okay to deal with; floor plan was fairly large - however I wouldn't choose them again if I knew what I know now given the availability of other well-suited properties in the area for a comparable price. Shop around unless you only plan on renting for 1 year and no more or less.

Don't rent here. We have lived here 3 yrs it started out great it has quickly gone down hill. Your rent goes up a lot once your first lease is over and it just keeps going up up and up. They do not put things in right the first time so don't count on it being a quiet place always having to redo what they did wrong in the first place and its always early so I unless you don't need sleep dont rent here Also if you have small children it is loud and they will have sleep issues. Have had more maint problems then I can count Dante is great about coming and fixing them but when you have so many it doesn't feel like your living at a newer pkace. Also no pool club house or any special features they will tell you they are working on them but they are not. Parking is a problem if you don't live by back lot. Just don't rent here you will be dissappointed

A great complex and community!
My husband and I moved in here to our apartment with our 1 year old dog on DEC 4, 2011 and we couldn't be happier. We also have awesome neighbors on both sides of us as well. The entire complex community is dog friendly (and they think of the dogs as residents) which is so nice to be in. For the couple of times I have had a maintenance problem they were here within an hour or less. Finally, I think personally for me the fact that the leasing office staff Tammy, Rory, and Dante treat you as if your family rather than just as a tenant means and says a lot and it also says a lot about the apartment community as a whole which is why we like it here so much!! :)

MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL ARE EXCEPTIONAL...
Apartment living doesn't get any better than this! The staff members are professional, friendly, helpful, and totally engaged in making the move-in process "painless." The property manager, leasing agent, and maintenance supervisor have been responsive to questions about the area (from restaurants to directions). The grounds are well kept, and the apartment, itself, is impeccably clean. All of the appliances look brand-new. The kitchen cabinets are of high quality. Bathrooms cabinets and fixtures are also of high quality craftsmanship. I was most surprised at how quiet the apartment is. FYI: Barrington Park maintains 100% occupancy. As an individual who lives six hours away, I did not have time to see the property before signing a lease. Five other people had looked at the apartment that day, so I faxed the application and lease agreement immediately. NO REGRETS!

Love it since I moved in!
My experience at Van Metre Barrington Apartments have been very satisfied. The staff, the maintenance team who work at the complex are very responsive to any emergencies. But I want to thank so much to Stephanie my Captain Team for everything she does. I couldn't made it without her professionalism, communication, responsiveness & attention. From the first moment we met it has not been not even a day that her professionalism has gone anywhere. She is constant in her way to conduct business, sincere, very attentive to listen and understand your concerns & to advise you greatly. The day I move in to my apartment it was a water damage to the apartment. I contact Stephanie inmediately and within minutes I had a emergency team in my apartment, the contractor for this site came and took charge of the situation inmediately, I received a phone call from Stephanie's Manager to place me in a hotel for all the inconvenience. I couldn't believe all this prompt attention to resolve, and make sure that I was doing good. I appreciated her very much and I love baking so I show my appreciation with some healthy food. It is always great to show how much you appreciated it; when they do so much for you. To Stephanie and to all the other members of Barrington Park thank you for all you do and I hope that never change the way the company conduct business.

Great management!
The management at this property has one of the best I have ever encountered. Patricia, the leasing manager, was very friendly and most of all attentive to what I was looking for when I took my first look at the property. She spent alot of time showing me different models to make sure we found exactly what I wanted. Since moving in she has been very attentive to a couple of maintenance issues I have had. Her true concern for the tenants is very evident. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice place to live.

Whole leasing process went really smooth.
Patricia is patient in answering the questions during any day of the week and she made the whole process easy and she didn't make any false promises. I am 99% satisfied with the leasing process. 1% - If Patricia would allow me to keep my motorcycle in front of my door. Just kidding. Thanks!

Best apartment I have ever had.
I spent a whole month looking at different apartments most of them were gross, old, or super expensive. At the end of the month i look at Barrington Park aptm, within 10 seconds of looking at it i told the super nice manager (Ms. Patricia )that i would like to sign a lease... The place is Brand spanking new, Very clean, spacious, extremely quiet, Friendly management team, extra nice neighbor, safe , lots of parking and it has that homely feel to it..Another plus is that it does'nt have an apartment look to it . It looks more like town houses.... Love living here....
