The complex is nice and the staff is VERY friendly. They learn your name almost immediately and never forget it. Not very many amenities at Barrington Park Apartments just a half basketball court, swing set and a small dog park. (No pool, gym, clubhouse, etc.) The rent is pretty high for what you get (considering the lack of amenities) and it will increase every year.

This is one of the best apartments I have stayed it. I was immediately impressed by the attentiveness of the staff and the speed at which maintenance fixes problems. I enjoy the neighborhood and I enjoy how these apartments have some large green areas that children can play in. You can hear your neighbors at times, but it is never distracting. I was unhappy with the lack of space to store items (no pantry or linen closet), but this may be different for apartments of a different setup. Overall, I've enjoyed my stay her thus far.

The noise here is AWFUL! My next door neighbor blares his TV so that I can hear mumbling voices and music through my living room wall 24/7, and my upstairs neighbors have a dog that barks constantly and a friend who "visits" everyday with her toddler and lets the kid run and jump and shake my entire apartment for hours on end, and on top of that, the Mexican restaurant across the street turns into a nightclub and the rap music comes through my front door every so horrible, I'm counting down the days until I can move. I've lived in tons of apartments and this is the only one that has a truly miserable level of noise. And for the record, I wouldn't consider renewing my lease anyway due to other issues: there is no gym, pool, or other amenities besides a playground and a dog park (for which I have no kids or dogs to take to), so I'm not sure why this place charges more than other comparable apartment complexes who DO have those amenities. Plus, the water was recently raised to a flat charge of $60/month for one bedroom apartments for new residents/renewals due to "increasing" city water ;s a tough pill to swallow seeing as how I'm only one person who travels often and doesn't use that much worth of water per month. They really need to get individual meters here so I can stop subsidizing other peoples' water usage. It sucks because other than the noise and the amenity rip-offs, this is a nice neighborhood and the leasing staff is truly top-notch like the other reviewers have said. I just can't wait to get out of here and find some peace and quiet.

Charisse, Jen, and Dante have offered excellent customer service and have been extremely efficient in handling all of my needs here at Barrington Park Apts. My wife is also extremely satisfied with the attention that we receive from the associates. Anytime I need a maintenance issue resolved, it is done so within 24 hours. As a matter of fact, the issue has always been resolved the same day. Anytime I have an issue about the property or anytime I need help with anything here, I have always received help and all employees have always answered all questions timely and respectfully. I could not ask for a better staff here at Barrington Park Apts. Dante and Jen are so great at their job that I believe their attitude and character are what set Barrington Park Apts apart from other leasing properties that I have leased in the past. I am overly satisfied with the service here. Both Dante and Jen have set the gold standard for how customer service should be operated in regards to leasing properties.

Whenever we ever had an issue Dante and the Management team were on in within HOURS!!! That's amazing! I have heard horror stories about friends at other places having to wait days. We feel so taken care of here and know if there ever is an issue we will be a top priority. Also, Dante, Charis and Daniel are so respectful and friendly. We love living here and plan on staying here for the next few years !!! Again, I have friends who do not get near the amazing service we do here!!! Great homes and great people!!

The staff helped me to handpick my apartment according to my needs. They continue to be helpful and available for me, even on their busiest days. The apartment was in the best move-in condition I have -ever- experienced. The property is always being improved upon and it is kept extremely clean. You can tell the staff takes a lot of pride in their work. I highly recommend this community and am very satisfied with my choice in renting here.

Barrington Park, a Van Metre property, has been one of the best leasing experiences I've had over the past 20 years. I am a veteran of the US Air Force and have lived many places. I can honestly say the Van Metre properties are worth your hard earned money. Great property managers and well maintained properties!

Overpriced for what you get. The apartments and grounds are overall nice but not worth what they charge. The maintenance team is pretty quick/responsive and the office staff can be as well. Parking isn't assigned, it's a free for all, unless you pay for a reserved spot, so that can be super frustrating to find a spot if you live away from the larger parking lot in the back. Neighbors can sometimes be noisy, but who doesn't have this happen every once in a while? In the warmer times, there are a lot of kids running around and they can get kind of loud. Sometimes kids from neighboring communities come here and can get really loud, but nothing much can be done about it. Again, overall it's ok. Nothing extremely special. If you're looking to pay less to live further out from DC, this isn't the place. You're better off saving yourself the commute out to 66 and paying a little more to live in Fairfax.
