If you want attitude and to pay a lot in rent come here
The management company here has gone through countless turnovers. They are unresponsive and unless you make a federal case out of something that needs to be fixed, they don't care. They make me and other neighbors I've talked to feel like an inconvenience to them. The rents are very high for the apartment amenities that you get. Its a great location, but for the price I wish I would have shopped around more. Plus, suddenly there is a roach problem. Pretty gross. The parking is so close together, my car gets dinged all the time.

Calling all drug dealers...there are open apts!!
well, this should be fun. Ive been here 2 1/2 years..I should have moved long ago, but it doesnt seem tobe much better anywhere else. In my 2.5 years, ive lived thru multiple management companies and neighbors. When i first moved here, it seemed to be kinda of an old folks home..but at least it was quiet. The management sucked and nothing got fixed within 2 weeks, but it was quiet. Now, the building is full of drug dealers, porno actors, mean and nasty kids, and some serious whacko's. I have kids and i am afriad for them. I literally had a big time drug dealer living next to me..he had bad --- people banging down his door every night and threatening his life...fights out in the front of the door, fights in the street. The cops finally caught up to this guy, and he was ousteaded...but the management wouldnt do anything about it. It took the cops to get him out and that took 4 months. The parking sucks. Most of it is on the street, and thats minimal. The roaches have taken over my house. Theres very little hot water, so dont shower too long or youll freeze. I had money stolen from my wallet from kids that came into my house to play with my kids. Stupid me didnt think an 11 year old girl had it in her... $90 later, I now know they do. So, if you like quiet, have kids, and are looking for a nice, safe place to live, dont even think of coming here...

Roaches
I live here currently and I am tired of the roach infested buildings and staff.

The bug problem here is horrible. When you walk into the lobby you can see them running around. I had guests over and while riding up the elevator a roach was crawling up the wall. It was soooo gross.

I have lived here a year and this constant change in staff is incredible, they have had 2 managers, 2 assistant managers and countless leasing agents. You don´t want to go to or call the office b/c you don´t know who is there. They had a great manager Sandra who did leave and a couple really friendly girls, Aubry and a girl who worked there a while ago Angela, who are both gone as well. They have an assisant manager, Fanny, who is nice, but is really ------. I feel like I have no one to rely on. Other than that, the staff is rude, they block you car so you can´t get out and won´t get rid of these bugs.

The apartments here are really big, but with the increasing rent prices, no one can afford them. Since I moved in the rent has gone up like 60 dollars.

I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Apartments are satisfactoily maintained. Occasional problems in apts since the building is 34 yrs old. Spacious apartments. But need lots of fixing to be done.
Management is good.and so are the people who work here.
Oflate lots of noise around.I don´t blame the management. Residents should be more involved in keeping this place clean and maintain what managemnet do to keep this place clean.
We have had nothing but problems from mold to multiple water leaks to ants to no air conditioning. Management is horrible. Do not move here.

Stay Away!
I do NOT recommend living here as it is a filthy dirty place - aka: A DUMP. I had roaches in my apartment, the halls are filthy, the grounds are filthy... and yes, it is deceiving from the outside. I do have to say that the office staff is very nice and accomondating, but I would suggest not living here.

Management exceptionally poor
In the hottest days of the summer, some management genius decided it was time to replace the "swamp cooler" filters. Needless to say, my unit stopped working. Being on the 4th floor didn´t help either when indoor temperatures reached 95 degrees. It took over 6 days before someone came to fix my unit which had to be "fixed" multiple times after that.

With completely incompetant management, there are definitely better places to live. Even if they are a bit more expensive, it still beats this sh!thole

Stay away. Worst value for your $$
This place is a dump. People are vacating in droves.

- Management is totally inept.
- Maintenance almost non-existent. Complaining does not get results
- Air Condition is inadequate.
- Asbestos in the structure.
- Grounds are filthy and unkempt, except near the Leasing Office.
- Buildings are not cleaned.
- Ants galore.
- Elevators falling apart and broken.
- Parking is a big IF - if they can figure out which spots are free.
- Security totally compromised - gates are open. Building doors don´t close.
- Sewers overflowing.
- Stuff floating in the pools.
- They are offering rent-controlled tenants $$ to vacate, supposedly because of pending major construction. Probably to raise the rents.

Pro: Apartments are slightly bigger than the competition for the same price.
Dont Move Here!!!
I´m sure you read all the reasons why one should not move into this "Apartment Home" And I agree with every last reason. Why? Because I´ve experienced them all. I had very little choice but to move into this complex my job is in walking distance to the renaissance and the Oakwod apartments (Which is the one I wanted) BUT it has a six month waiting list I wish I had known that six mounts ago!
BTW when I read some of these posting I wasn´t 100% sure it was true I thought well it may be just a bunch of disgruntle tenants or some bad experiences ha ha ha...
BUT TRUST ME ITS TRUE!!! SO PLEASE SAVE YOUR SELF SOME TIME & TROUBLE DON´T MOVE HERE! OR MOVE HERE AND EXPERIENCE IT FOR YOUR SELF!

PS: The management team and leasing agents are 99.9% incompetent and may make some mistakes on the offer to lease contract. Now if it is in your favor for example they are asking for less money for the apartment on the offer to lease then what the apartments are going for or they ask you for less money for move in on the offer to lease. Just remember one thing the offer to lease is a contract and its binding THEY CAN NOT BREAK THE OFFER TO LEASE (while you can I think it is within 3 days) tell em tuff luck this is a contract and you have to honor what its written on the offer to lease form. They will try to fight you I´m sure (They tried to fight me on it and failed) but stick to your guns because like I said its is a binding contract and they will loose California law is extremely tenant friendly!! PLEASE PEOPLE KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!!! Go to the library and gets some books on renters/tenants rights if you are going to be renting for other people its the smartest thing you could ever do!

Lies, and horrible management
I´ve lived here for 2 weeks, and i´m already moving. After moving in i was told that they "messed up on the paper workd and need 800 more dollars to move in". When i said that i already signed papers and wouldn´t have moved in if i knew it was going to be that much more expensive i was called a liar: "I think you noticed the mistake and just hoped we wouldn´t notice it to try and get a deal". Also, the halls smell like cat urin and trash from the trash shutes. There were dirty underwear in the elevator for a week. The pool and fitness center are nice. Parking is a joke. I was given a parking spot and it turned out to be someone else´s parking spot. It took 3 days to get a parking spot... and a horrible one at that. The AC dosn´t work, even with all vents closed except for the room your in... you don´t get cool air. I called about it and NEVER received a return call. When unlocking my door the lock cylinder fell out onto the floor. The counter tops are held up by broken wood. The cabinets are horribly dirty and not painted. Don´t be fooled by everything that they show you on the outside... these apartments are dirty and the management is HORRIBLE.

Bad Experience
I have lived in this apartment community for a few months but i have been faced by problems i never thought i would face.

If you are really considering moving to this community please make sure to speak to some of the residents before making your final decision. And please don´t be fooled by appearance because this community looks great from the outside.

Here are just a few problems that you could face:

1. There is no central air conditions!! The air conditions have been installed in 1969 when the comunity was built. They work fine when it´s cold but r absolutely inefficient when it´s hot. According to the staff here , they said " you should not expect it to cool the air" when i complained that my condition doesn´t cool the temperature.(at first i thought that there was something wrong with my air condition)

2.The trash bins are always full and off coarse all the area around it is dirty. By the way the trash bins are located in the open air in the parking lot.

3.Laundry rooms are very small and have absolutely no source of ventillation. There are no windows there. And even the air condition that are installed in them do not work. (If someone was trapped in one of the laundry rooms he would probably die in no more than an hour from the heat and the lack of oxygen.

4.I have probably seen more roaches in my apartment than i have ever seen in my life.(N.B i did complain about that and they had my apartment sprayed against pests but it was no use)

5.The staff here are unresponsive so you would have to wait for a few days OR weeks to have something fixed in your apartment ,in addition of coarse to having to call them many times to have something done.

6.The community is 35 years old so don´t expect the appliances to work efficiently.

Not a bang for your buck
I lived in a two bedroom apt on the third floor with a roommate...during my six months within this complex, the laundry room facilities did not work, and when reported, tenants were told that it was not the management´s responsibility, people got stuck in the elevators (which more often than not did not work) for up to four hours on end, and the only other way was the stairs...not a concern for myself, but many of the eldery tenants...this complex requires rental ins...but merely for the purpose that the complex will not accept ANY responsibility..staff turn over was high..the only saving grace..the maintenance crew....who were over worked and under recognized...where did our overpriced rent go? In the pockets of others and not for the community.....p.s. did i mention the noise in the apartment (between the elevators, neighbors, and tennis players)..the stadium lighting from the tennis courts that shone straight into your sleepy eyes!...the lack of a reasonable shower size in the master bedroom (barely suitable for a child!)...
