Not so bad

Have you driven though other apartments? I moved into Lake kathy 6 mths ago and live in a 2x2. I have found that maintenace pays attention to your needs and also trys to keep the trash removed from the property. I got a note left on my door for leaving my trash in the breezeway, that was my fault. If we would be more active in where we live then neighbors wouldn't get to be a mess, it takes all of us to make a neighborhood. i enjoy living at Lake kathy and have referred several friends here. Stop by met the staff and tour the commun ity then drive down road and look where you could live.

lake kathy sucks

well first of all my ac frezze all the times!!! always noise in the hallway bad really mad maintain guys i had mold in my apartments and i gave 4 works order they did not do anything i do not recomment this at all even if you dont have a house DONT MOVE IN LAKE KATHY they have broke in my car like 1 time and lake kathy did nothing about it and beware!!!! they get on your apartments they broke in minesw when i was working i got home ang foung none of mine good stuff DONT MOVE HERE the service its cheap --------- its the only nice one and ---- its a smart --- dumb!!!!!!!!!!and he is a maintain who gets in your house with out permission

ANIMAL HATERS!!!!!! NO PET ON PROPERTY

Imoved in these apartments because i thought the community was a nice atmosphere. However, shortly into moving into these apartments I found myself urging to move out. To begin with, the staff do not keep the property grounds clean. I constantly have to deal with nasty trash in the hallways, cigeratte buds in the hallways,and the staff does not remove the trash they just use the blower to blow it from the hallways and sidewalks to the grass area causing it to pile up. In these apartments not only do we have to deal with nasty hallways full of trash stains,dirty walls,and throw up stains, we have to deal with maintenance coming into our apartemnts unathorized. I have repeatedly found things coming up missing in my home and also things tampered with. I have witnessed maintenance go into others apartment without their consent and when reporting it to staff nothing is done about it. Also, this apartment is heartless and cold. Not only do Lake Kathy say they have a no pet policy but no one you know are allowed to bring their dogs or cats with them to visit any of the residences.I find this to me inconsiderate and also this should not be a rule enforced due to residences lease does not indicate anything about haVing family memberS visit along with their pets.Lake Kathy do have seniors on property whose grandkids owns a pet and would to bring them along to visit their grandparents. I recommend anyone who has kids that desire to have a pet or elderlys who have/ or want a dog/cat companions to definitely not move to this property. Not only is it nasty, it also has a hatred for animals.Also beware there is a peeping tom on property who lokes to pep in your cars and home windows!!!!

The staff are cool...jess&aime

I've only been in there for less then month and so far i have not problem, i had a little problem w/ my electricity braker went off in the middle of the night and call at 3am and got a response 20min later and walked me thru reseting the braker box and promise to come in the morning, but didn't come....oh well at least the problem was fix...overall it's a great place to live and love the new details they've added to the place, it really feels like home. one thing i have a problem w/ is the parking space the should have had a 2rows of parking space, but instead the y have only one, it's just not enough sometime i have to park my car a good block away . overall great price!!!

All around bad!

We moved in on October 2007. It started off okay but about a week into it things went downhill. First the water wasn't hot enough. The first thing we did was take a shower when we moved in. The water was hot for maybe 5 to 7 minutes. We called the front office and when we finally got through to an actual person they sent somebody by. When we got home later that night, it was hotter but not by much. We called again and they finally came out and made the water hot. The next thing to happen was our AC freezing over. When we called for that, we left 2 messages and nobody came out. We finally got a hold of a person and by that time our toilet was leaking so we put in two maintenance requests. The person came out and when we came home later that night. Our toilet was no longer making the noise and all they did with the AC was change the filter. That was in January. Since then our AC has frozen over at least 4 more times and our toilet is making the exact same noise and it is only March. We have not been able to get a hold of one person since then and I have left numberous messages. I think I am on message number 8 and still waiting. Now for the outside of our apartment. We do not have a balcony so all of our neighbors hang out in the walk way. They are the dirtiest people. Always leaving their buds everywhere and their trash. The grounds people don't clean any of this up. Our neighbor is constantly having parties and I can't tell you how many times our neighbors friends have thrown up on the staircase and in the parking lot. Has any of this been cleaned up? NO!!!! I don't mind parties. I just don't understand why it has to be on Sunday night into Monday morning. I leave for work at 7:45 a.m. and that is about the time they wrap it up. You have to purchase their internet and cable from them. The internet is 1.5 and my husband says that Roadrunners slowest is 3.5. It is crappy. Then for the cable we got the deluxe deal with the 3 HBO channels and 1 in Spanish. We do not have FX. Instead for where it should be, channel 79 is a 24/7 advertisement for the Dish Network. A network we are not able to get. We can not get any other service in that complex. We have called numerous cable places and they say they can not service us. By the way, last year the FCC won the case of apartment complexes doing that. It is illegal for them to do that. When I had mentioned that to the front office. They played dumb. Oh and the workout room is always closed. ALWAYS!!! This place has no customer service, no maintenance and do not care for the tenants. We can not wait for the lease to be up. Please read this and consider moving somewhere else. There our other income restricted places near by and heck of a lot nicer.

June seems to be an amazing month for lake kathy...BULL!

Stop trying to fool people with these lies of great reviews, staff of lake kathy. Get a life! Dont move here, horrible place to live unless you feel safe in the ------....

Office staff is rude ignorant and needs to take classes on discrimination.

The property itself isn't so bad if you don't mind people yelling and partying in the hallways and parking lots late at night. Good luck getting anything taken care of properly if you speak to ANYONE in the front office. I have yet to come by one person willing to help with even the smallest of issues in our apt. The staff treats their tenants like they're annoyed by you even if you just want info on your rent amount due. If you like being treated like trash and enjoy living in a community run by ignorant people........Move in! Make this your new home!!!!!! As for me, I'm out when this lease is up.

Mgmt. has little to no concern for their residents.....

My mother is living on a fixed income and this proprety was brand new and close to the rest of the family so she rented at Lake Kathy. We pay her rent 3 months in advance and my mom is quiet as a mouse....*ideal resident* Her fridge seemed as if it wasn't cooling so she called the office and left a voicemail, the next day no one came out so mom called and left another message with the answering service "they never pick up" and turned the temp on the fridge down thinking that might keep her food from spoiling.....on the 4th day I called the office on a sat. and asked that they send someone out asap. the maintenance man came out, he was very nice and said, I NEVER RECIEVED THIS WORK ORDER. She had to wait for G.E appliances to come repair the fridge. Needless to say all the food in her fridge spoiled and it was 7 days from the first time my mom called before her fridge was fixed. She spoke to the asst. property manager who said they WILL NOT credit her for all the groceries she lost cause she adjusted the temp on the fridge...GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I assume that the staff doesn't think much of their residents cause this is considered low income housing. Nice, don't ya think??????

great place at a great price

I moved in May and love my apartment. The complex is brand new and the units are VERY spacious with a great layout. For a 1 bedroom, 777 sq. ft is more than enough room. Plenty of parking and grounds are well lit at night. The landscaping on the property is well maintained. Office staff have been helpful. Sometimes can hear neighbors below or outside but overall would highly recommend Lake Kathy.
