thinking about moving???
When I first moved here at lakes edge, this complex was beautiful, there wasn´t many children, there was security at the gate and everything was pretty much okay. I´ve lived here almost 5 years and things have changed alot. In different areas of the complex there are guys selling drugs late at night and they roam around the complex as if they are looking for something. My house was broken into three times. I don´t allow my tenage children to go outside anymore, because I,m a little nervous now about the things that may be going on. I other parts of the complex cars are being stolen, dented, and scratched up. In some cases the kids play in the parking lot playing football and riding bikes, this breaks car windows and causes dents. In other cases the neighbors are so rude and disrespectful with the parking situation. The management at Lakes Edge are doing a wonderful job!! They cannot predict the ignorance of others. The only thing I would ask management to do, is light a fire under maintanence(so they would move a little faster) and add some security to the premises.

Nice place Disrespectful Neghibors.
The apartments are very nice. The office staff is very helpful. The maintenance is a little slow. I live in Bldg #23 in a 3bedroom apartment. My area is kept very nice but the disrespectful neghibors and there kids in my building need to go. Since the maintenace supervisor moved in my building it has become a little better. The tenants dont and there guest dont respect the parking. If you have more than 2 vehicles they need to be considerate of the others.

------ ------ ------!!!
The noise level in my building is out of this world!! Nonstop party on my stairwell EVERY NIGHT!!! Lazy management refuses to get rid of trouble makers. Sickening. Beer bottles left on the steps, one young man even had a "crack pipe!!!" loud music causes my corridors to vibrate, card playing until 9a.m. And get this, a HUGE grill, about the size of a small car sits in front of the steps. Folks are grilling every day. Please. DON´T COME HERE!!!!

From Affordable Comfort to a Nicely Kept ------
When I first moved in, it was like heaven for the first year. I loved it! It was quiet, the grounds were nice, the employees are nice...I had no complaints.

Until the Section 8´s started moving in. I have had the neighbors from hell. They are loud in everyway. They hang outside until all times of the morning talking loudly, playing music loudly and just being annoying.
Most of the children are rude and disrespectful and their parents are 100% worst. Lakes Edge has become a beautified ------. For almost $800 a month is peace and quiet too much to ask for...I guess so!

There isn´t any security(anymore).
The security gate is always broken and unattended (left open). They cutout the pest control, stopped paying for the water and raised the rent. Ain´t that a !@#$%^&*()!

Depends
When I first moved into the complex, I was given the option of moving into the gated or ungated portion of the community. As a single female, I chose the gated portion. Although the resident side was inoperable, I was o.k. with using the visitors side due to to the fact that the while the gate would remain open, the security arm retracted after each car, therefore, if you tried to follow in behind someone, the arm would come down on your car. My satisfaction was quickly tainted when I noticed that the security booth was consistently empty and the arm to the gate was consistently broken--therefore, anyone could, and DID, gain access at any time. Furthermore, there is a person living in the building connected to mine that runs a convenience store out of her apartment. She sells everything from gum/candy, to french fries and hot dogs and booze! To add insult to injury, I pay $731/month and after the flood this year, they opened up to section 8 residents who came in and were allowed to $250-300/month!!!!! If this wasn´t enough, the parking is ok but it is not covered or assigned--the un gated portion received a new carport for their side!!

Maintenance is relatively slow-- I came home one day to oversee a maintenance request and I was waiting for 3 hours before they even showed up.

Pest control-- Since I have been there, 13 months, they have never done a pest check and I have reported having an ant problem for the last 12 months!

Overall, it depends on whether or not you want to live comfortably, or ------ fabulously!
