Love the Place
The maintenance men, Ricky and his partner, have been very helpful in the short time that I have been here. They are prompt and do a very good job. This is a big change from my last apartment.

Great thus far...
I am a new resident here at Northlake Park and have really enjoyed my place thus far. Edna is the rental agent that helped me find my new apartment and set up the move-in, while Leslie (sp?) was the one who actually went through all of the paperwork with me on move-in day. I did all of the initial paperwork online and chose my unit 'sight unseen' as I relocated for work. The community is a little far from the hub of Orlando, but I don't mind too much because I travel a lot for work and am no more than 5 minutes from the airport. The only thing that I have to say negatively at this stage is some of the units (including mine) face into a courtyard of sorts where the majority of the air conditioners are also located. On a hot summer day there is a noticeable hum audible from anywhere in my apartment. The other 'not so great' thing is that the master bathroom doesn't have the best ventilation and therefore if not left to 'air dry' after a long shower there will clearly me a mold issue. I think this is a problem in many places, not exclusive to this community however, as many of the communities are designed by people who clearly don't understand the uniqueness of living in a highly humid climate such as Florida. Overall, everything has been good - nice people, nice neighbors, lovely surroundings, functional and clean clubhouse, etc. Publix, 7-11, Bank of America, Quiznos, et all are just down the street about a mile-ish which is nice. The downside is if you're into organic products such as me, the nearest Whole Foods is/will be off Sand Lake - about a 20-25 minute drive each way.

You are so obvious...
I am not a tenant, but a prospective tenant looking through each of these reviews and there is something very disturbing about most of them! Every positive review is obviously written by the same person. Isn't it funny how the "people" writing all these positive reviews misspell the same words? They all somehow use the same verbiage - and often use multiple exclamation points (usually 3)!!! Each positive review uses the same terms as a brochure and it is so plainly obvious that all of the positive reviews (always giving 5.0 ratings) come from the same person. Isn't it funny how "Edna" has been put up for promotion - by name - in most of these reviews? Whoever keeps writing these reviews, please stop so the integrity of this website can be reserved, plus you re so obvious that quite frankly; it s embracing. I think I ve made my point. I m sure that just like in the past, whenever a negative review comes in, 2-3 positive ones come in the same day.

Great!!!
This being my first experience with apartment living in 18 years, I was looking for a community that would have the feel of home, but without the worries of ownership. Edna was so very helpful with ALL my questions from the first day I toured the property. She has really helped make my Northlake living enjoyable. Edna, Lesley, & Tony are a great managment team for your company. I also love the coffee.

Wonderful
Edna is a great asset to Van Metre. She consistently provides a superior level of customer service. There is never a need to make a second request for any service matter.

We Have No Complaints!!!
The community is safe and is kept very neat and clean; in addition, the landscaping is very attractive and well kept. Lesley, Anthony, and Edna are always friendly and very attentive to any requests I have made. My husband and I are very happy here and have just requested to renew our lease for another year. We have no complaints!

READ THIS FIRST!!!
We lived there for 1 1/2 years, way TOO long!!!! We paid $500.00 for a PET DEPOSIT and when we moved out, they tell us the DEPOSIT was for the OUTSIDE of the apartment!!! I have NEVER heard of such bullcrap in all my life!!! ------ said it was for the "keep-up" of the grounds where our animals go to do their business!!! Now, they're wanting $1,595.00 for having to replace our carpet--which they would have done anyway for the next tenant who moved in!!!! And on top of that, they want another $40.00 for CHEAP blinds that got torn while we were there!!! I would think TWICE before moving in here, yea, it's pretty on the OUTSIDE but see what happens when you move in! ALL the RULES and POLICIES just seem to CHANGE!!! They will get you somehow, one way or another!!!

I Love Living Here!!!
I love living here! It is so quiet and I feel so safe. The facilities are always in working order. The grounds are very well maintained and look beautiful all of the time. People respect each others privacy. My bulding rep. (Edna) is fantastic, and checks in with me regularly to make sure that I am doing well. She should be promoted! This is a fantastic place to raise a family.

can't wait to move out
This place is so not worth the money...across the street they have an apartment complex that really treats their residents like family...they make an effort to make sure the residents are happy...here they could care less...i can't wait to move out...all the negative comments describe this place perfectly...I'm just worried about moving out and seeing all the ridiculous charges their going to try and make me pay...can't wait...

Warm & friendly place to live
There was a slight miscommunication with the length of lease and move in discount. I was told I would receive 1/2 of my first months rent, but actually received a much less percentage. This was a little frustrating because I planned to use that money for much needed furniture. Overall, Edna & Tony were very courteous and continue to show thier concern which makes Lake Nona very warm and friendly place to live!!!

Wonderful!!!
I moved into Northlake Park about a month ago, and it has been wonderful since the first day. The townhouse looked brand new when I moved in. The management team is always there to help. Edna and Lesley are truly special. I cannot thank them enough for all the help that they have provided since move in day. And I cannot forget to say thanks to Ricky for his quick action and excellent work. This is truly a great community to be a part of.

I love this place!
I would highly recommend Northlake Park Apartments to anyone looking for a beautiful townhome with a garage to rent. The maintenance staff is wonderful, the management is very good and pleasant to work with. They are considerate and will go out of their way to make your experience there a good one. If I had not recently purchased a home, I would have continued to renew my lease year after year. I have had the most pleasant neighbors and will miss some of them. The interior of my apartment was well done, although I wish it had had a self-cleaning oven! Unless you are a bad tenant and just plain hard to get along with, you will not regret living at Northlake Park Apartments! (And I was not paid to write my review; I was truly a happy renter!)

Very Nice
Moved in and happy, the staff are very friendly and jovial. Maintenance is wonderful and helpful. Being in customer service myself, I must say they know what they are doing. I had alot of questions when I moved in and they answered them all in a professional maner.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!
They obviously paid someone to write a few of those reviews below because I've never lived anywhere with such poor management. I have no idea how any of them landed their positions. They are incredibly rude and have no idea how to do their jobs successfully. Be careful, they will LIE, LIE, LIE to get you in the door and then change rules and details in the lease. They are so UNETHICAL its not even funny! Rent is incredibly too high for such poor service. There is no customer service here, it is purely about scamming you out of your money. Oh and parking is a nightmare, don't even think about having anyone come to visit you because there won't be anywhere for them to park and they will threaten you with tow away notices. The signs out front say "no soliciting" but I have fliers on my door almost every day so its obviously not enforced very well. Apartment itself is OK, but nothing special. Only positive about this place is the maintenance staff is pretty good. I would advise you to look elsewhere, there are plenty of nicer apartments in Orlando. You will most definitely regret it if you move here!

VERY DIAPPOINTED WITH APARTMENT ITSELF AND MANAGEMENT! APARTMENT DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGHT QUILITY CABINET SPACE IN KITCHEN. NOT ENOUGHT ROOM FOR CAN GOODS AND ITEMS THAT ARE KEPT IN CABINET. LOOKS LIKE IT HAS "PLENTY" BUT ONCE YOU GET IN AND START PUTTING AWAY THINGS, YOU REALIZE THAT THE CABINETS ARE WAY TOO "LONG" AT THE TOP AND YOU HAVE TO STEP UP ON SOMETHING IN ORDER TO REACH THE TOP! HAD TO GO OUT AND BUY BAKERS RACK TO PLACE BOWLS AND POTS AND PANS!
APARTMENT CHARGES FOR "EVERTHING"! YOU BREAK A BLIND YOU HAVE TO PAY $20.00 TO GET ANOTHER ONE! YOUR APARTMENT HAS A DECK OR BALCONY, THAT'S EXTRA! YOU HAVE A LAKE VIEW FROM YOUR APARTMENT, YOU PAY EXTRA! WE PAID A $500.00 PET DEPOSIT AND WHEN MY MOM MOVED OUT AND TOOK HER TWO DOGS WITH HER, I CALLED TO SEE ABOUT GETTING THE CARPET REPLACED IN HER BEDROOM, WAS TOLD "I" WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT! I TOLD HER WE PAID A $500.00 PET DEPOSIT AND WAS TOLD "THAT GOES FOR THE GROUNDS OUT SIDE THE APARTMENT WHERE THE PET GOES TO DO THEIR BUSINESS, IT DOES NOT COVER ANYTHING IN THE APARTMENT"!!!! I HAVE "NEVER" HEARD OF ANYTHING LIKE THIS IN MY WHOLE LIFE AND I HAVE LIVED IN PLENTY OF APARTMENTS! WE SOLD OUR HOME AND MOVED INTO THIS APARTMENT TO BE RID OF ALL THE "RESPONSIBILITIES" OF OWNERSHIP AND IT'S JUST LIKE OWNING EXCEPT YOUR RENT MONEY SHOWS FOR NOTHING!

Great Place to Live
My husband and I have lived here since Feb 2006, and haven't had any problems with maintenence or management. Things are always fixed within a 24 our period, and the staff has been nothing but accomodating.

We are going to move out soon, and I can only hope they are going to do the right thing, although I see from some other posts that is not the case...

We haven't had any issues with parking, as most people have garages and should be using them, with a spot in front of the garage to park.

If I had to provide something bad, I would say that in the 2 and 3 bedrooms the master bedroom is directly over the garages making it hard to sleep when a nerighbor gets home late or leaves early.
