I Love this place!
I couldn't be happier any place else. The apartment is beautiful with the crown moldings, the large solid wood doors, the extra laundry room, etc. The staff has been wonderful and always ready to help. I am having a hard time trying not to compare this place to others now that my job has relocated me out of state. So far-nothing compares.

Love it!
I moved here from the Metrowest area in Orlando and have been here for 4.5 months. It has been nothing but perfect. I have had two maintenance calls(replace air filter, garage light bulb change, toilet flusher fixed) and all were done the same day I called in the request. I feel very safe here and my neighbors are wonderful. Everyone once in a while I hear the two dogs above me running in the apartment or barking on the porch, but no loud music, TV's, talking, etc. The staff have been wonderful. I had been here about two weeks, when I opened my garage door to leave for a vacation and there was a car parked behind me, the property mgr was walking and saw the situation, began to take care of it before a very apologetic neighbor explained he was unaware of anyone moving in yet. Not a problem as it was resolved before I needed to leave. Tony and Edna have been nothing but professional and very nice to me.

I would recommend this place to anyone who asks. I thoroughly enjoy living here.

I guess as far as what the others have mentioned about what happens when you move out, I will have to wait and see, but I can't imagine that it will be a problem for me to get my deposit back.

This is a GREAT place to live
A year ago I moved from the Northeast. I was hesitatnt to rent here due to reading the negative comments on this site. I am SO thankful I went with my instinct and rented here. This community is absolutely amazing and the office staff is nothing but professional. I have loved living here and look to live here for many more years to come. This is THE BEST community I have seen in the Orlando area. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate it an 11. Make the right decision and lease here!

Ok, until you move out, that is...
I have to admit that I feel a little bit better reading the reviews and finding out I wasn't the only one with maintenance issues and parking problems, and treated with disrespect and outright rudeness from management staff. The -------- lady in the office isn't the manager but she thinks she is- and the other reviewer was right on- she has no customer relations skills whatsoever. I had the pleasure of living directly adjacent to her apartment and she had multiple cars parked in front while thugs in skull caps worked on the vehicles (with music blaring) day and night. She also had people in and out of her place at all hours, slamming the door and yelling in the parking lot.

The maintenence staff is very nice, it was just hard to get help. The garbage dumpster overflows almost every Saturday but don't leave your trash there if it is! We were fined $50.00 a bag when we had to leave it next to the dumpster because it wouldn't fit inside. I can only imagine how much money they made off of that little issue- we laid our bags next to at least 20 others and I'm sure we weren't the only ones fined. When I tried to argue, they just produced a page from my lease and highlighted a line about proper trash disposal. When I left it outside my front door late one Sunday, I had a fine on my door before I left for work at 8 am. And the dumpster was STILL overflowing.

In any case, we took very good care of our apartment and even hired a maid to come in after us and re-clean what we cleaned. Three weeks after the move out, I received a bill for $1,200 "Additional wear and tear" repairs. We lived there for 3 years! They charged $35.00 to replace a mini-blind! The charges were ridiculous! We paid a $450 pet deposit plus the security deposit and then an additional 1200???? I am still trying to negotiate this with the home office in Virginia, but so far, no one wants to help.

STAY AWAY!!!!!

avoid as much as possible !
Not an apartment that i would recommend . lived there four years ago for about two years . in the beginnning it was a great place to live and very quiet and clean . then in the final year of our stay things changed dramatically for the worst . very unclean place , horrible manager . a -------- woman with no idea of public relations and a pathetic attitude . her staff was incompetent but at least courteous . once construction started in the year , it became impossible to live there . the biggest complaint i have is the lack of proper parking space . if you have at least two cars then you are out of luck . they will force you to park one car in the garage , else you will be towed at your own expense . finally they will not refund your security deposit, no matter how well maintained your aprt is , the manager always finds a way of cheating you out of your money
i strongly advise people against renting in this place . there are other apartments much more beautiful and worth the money in orlando .

Dishonest when you leave!
We lived at Northlake Park for more than two years. During that time, we took great care of our apartment and the surrounding areas, were always patient with maintenance issues (we had many), and were always accommodating to management. Once we moved out, we got slammed with our security deposit over normal wear and tear issues that we shouldn't be responsible for. After taking it up with Northlake Park's management, we decided to speak with the regional manager. Unfortunately, the regional manager does not return phone calls, and even though I sent supporting documentation of our claim as they requested (I sent it certified mail, so I have proof that it has been received), I have not heard anything in more than three weeks.
Although the community is lovely and the apartments are beautiful, the management is dishonest and tries to make your life miserable. Maintenance issues are not taken care of well, if taken care of at all (just wait until hurricane season). There are MANY other places in Orlando where you can find cheaper apartments (rent at Northlake Park is robbery for that area), just as nice areas, and better management.

What a Shame
Looks from outside are beautiful, once you sign a lease, everything else is bad, forget mgmt if you need anything, shoddy workmanship, lack of parking...shall I go on?

Unbelievable
This site is a joke. It has become an open forum for bitter people to place unfounded comments and slights. How childish!!! Most adults when they have a complaint take it to management and when the problem is not dealt with at a local level you take it to the next step. Or since I have not seen machine gun mounted turretts at the entrance to this lovely community, nor padlocks on the exteriors of the doors. Pack your SH*$ up and move. Good lord, people use this sight to make an informed decision and you people have turned it into a joke. I can't believe that APT. Ratings even allows this to go on.

What a great place to live!!!
I have been living here for over two years now and just renewed my lease again. It's hard to find a better place to live in East Orlando. The entire staff is helpful and accomodating to all of my requests. The grounds are always well maintained and clean. All of my requests are completed in a very timely manner. There are activites planned for the entire family and the children love the Dive-in movies!! The pool is a wonderful place to relax and meet your neighbors and have your own get togethers. I highly recommend this complex to anyone who wants to live in a clean, respectable neighborhood in the Orlando area.

Very sad....
I am very disappointed thru the years on how poorly management has become. The grounds, school, and place is beautiful. Yet The management staff I have seen come and go has gotten worst. They are very dishonest and I don't think property management needs to live where they work. ( You see alot of their extra after hours activity if you know what I mean) Not good for business. Not to mention if a resident can't do these things why should the management get to party hard and screw half of the propery. NOT GOOD BUSINESS>>>> :( Would not recommend this place any more to anyone.

Don't move here
Beautifully designed apartments on the outside but management has no idea what they're doing; very rude and DISHONEST!!! If you don't have a garage - there is VERY little parking and neighbors are loud. Save your time and money and look elsewhere!

Save Your Time
The office staff will greet you with a smiling face until you sign your lease, then forget it, you're on your own. Their phones will ring off the hook all day with no answer and the property manager can be as catty as can be.

Northlake is beautiful, but God help you if you need anything from the office staff.

A TRUE HOME WITH THE EASE OF CONDO LIVING
I lived here for less than a year and a half and the leasing and maintenance staff are tops! My friends were astounded I found such a nice, clean, quiet place with a large floor plan(of course they love it cuz they have someplace to stay when they come to Fl). The property Manager and her brilliant staff are always planning great events for the community from Breakfast on the Go, Saturday Night Dive Ins to a Superbowl Party. The landscaping is excellent and changed out to reflect the seasons. I have even seen deer wandering thru! A very happy place, with the BEST OF EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

Isn't it odd the way these are set up?
I am sick of apartments setting up their own ratings. Isnt it odd in the few years that this site is active, the apartment complex gets all these ratings of perfection in only a few weeks? What are they hiding?

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!
We've lived here nearly a year, moving in the weekend before Hurricane Charley, and have loved everything about this community... from manicured lawns to friendly staff, to wonderful amenities, we can't say enough about it!! As working professionals and former homeowners, it is very, very nice to have the atmosphere of a neighborhood without all the responsibilities of homeownership! Only a few drawbacks... the parking continues to be an issue as many residents do not abide by the parking regulations and utilize their garage as a space, instead filling their garages with "stuff" and then crowding the curbs, nearly causing traffic accidents and getting complaints from nearby home owners. Mgm't tries, but it's an ongoing problem.... sigh... Also, to get almost ANYWHERE from here, requires using a toll road, which adds up quickly (the price we pay for eastern county convenience and undeveloped areas, I guess...) Finally, since many of the residents are families waiting for their homes to be built, there are many children, who are, for the most part, very well behaved; but unfortunately, apartments are connected, and hearing kids screaming or tromping up and down the stairs is a common occurrence. Otherwise, what a PERFECT place to live, and very, very safe!!! Definitely a WINNER in our book!

Enjoyed It!
What a great place to live!!! My finacee' and I have so enjoyed living here. The staff is friendly, the area beautiful, and we really liked that we got to bring our two labs, "Molly & Gurdy" along with us while our house was being built. (Not many places will allow you to keep large pets with you.) The resident social are great too. They had this "Dive-In Movie night where we all brought our floats and coolers and laid in the pool looking at an over-sizde projector screen showing the latest DVD release.. It was GREAT!!!!! There is a poolside bar that we used often as well, I only wish we had used the gym as much... The area is really growing and is near everything, thats why we decided to buy in the area as well. The lease options were a plus for us, so I'd reccommend living here to anyone. You be hard pressed to find better!
