Beautiful apartments on the lake

Viewing Haven at Lake Deer for the first time was an amazing experience! In a nice neighborhood right on the lake, couldn't ask for a better location. The office is very nice sitting in front of a beautiful pool with a grill. Meeting Margie she was very kind and friendly offering snacks and coffee. She showed me a 1 BR unit I was interested in and it was very nicely decorated with very good size rooms, big closet with washer dryer, nice kitchen, and nice view that opens up to the deck outside the living room.I took a walk on the property and was very pleased with the two pools, fitness center, tennis courts, and beautiful lake with a dock on the property. I highly recommend you go view the property yourself.

We've had a lot of maintenance issues and those maintenance issues sometimes take months to fix and I'm paying almost as much for a one bedroom as a three bedroom would cost. I honestly would not recommend haven at Lake Deer to my worst enemy.

We love everything about this apartment complex! It is quiet with wonderful residents and the staff has been exceptional to work with on everything we have needed. The amenities are fantastic and always kept in great condition. We would recommend this to anyone as their place to live!

I love how peaceful the community is. From my first tour I was welcomed so well by Margie. It is quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Very friendly staff members and residents. I love that it is a dog friendly community

The girls in the office are extremely helpful and the maintenance crew is awesome. Response time is always on point. Overall no complaints and I enjoy living here. Shout out to Edith and Armando, as well as the management staff.

Hello, I have been living at Haven at Lake Deer for 6 months now. Unfortunately, I cannot say anything good about my experience at Haven at Lake Deer. Let me begin: - Costumer Service (0/10): Inexistent and careless. When I arrive at the end of January, I was promised a Laundry Set with a washer and dryer. It took 2.5 months for them to arrive. During this time, I was lied multiple times about the arrival time, which was always postponed. I was even told days on which they would be at my door to install them, making me leave my job early, only to find out they were not there. Also, forget about maintenance requests. If you don't call the office multiple times to get something done, they will not proceed with any maintenance. I have been waiting 6 months for a light on my microwave to be replaced, and it is still not replaced today (also being told that they were going to fix it multiple times, but never happened). - Privacy (3/10): I have found people on my balcony painting the fences right after I wake up. I was never told they would be coming, they just come whenever they want, invading your privacy. - Apartment (7/10): The apartments are decent. Amenities are good. AC is very weak. If I want a specific room to be cold, I need to close all the AC racks in the house to get the sufficient cold air to the room. Bugs (roaches and others) can be found everywhere. - Common Areas (6/10): The buildings' stairs and common areas are dirty. Grass is well taken care of. Gym is alright. Pools is very good. Parking is good as well. Trash accumulates very quickly and it's not picked up very often. In summary, my experience at Haven at Lake Deer has been very poor.

Staff here are incredibly helpful. When you make complaints they work hard to get it fixed or tell you how they can or even if they can't which is just as important. The grounds are kept tidy and pool area is clean. Looking forward to yet another year

It's been mostly a quiet place and the community nice and safe for family's. I would recommend this place to live here as a safe place. This place is very pet friendly and seen wide range of different pets here.

Smooth process

I’d like to take a moment and thank both Margie Lopez and Edith Seal in helping me get started. I initially called inquiring about the property and Margie was very helpful and guided me through the application process. Unfortunately when I made up my mind, margie was out on vacation when I called back to choose this property. But their team has amazing people who all helped out and I ended up working with another leasing specialist by the name of Edith Seal. Edith went above and beyond checking apartments after apartments and even during her lunch break, she even insisted to swing by units to see if they would be available for our move in time frame. She showed us which were available and which would suit me best based on my special request needs. I must say this property definitely understood my situation and made reasonable accommodations with proper documentation’s that I provided and it was a smooth move-in process. I also acted fast and took advantage of their special $750 off move in special and free washer and dryer for a year! Also, any questions they quickly respond in a fast time frame. The communication is fast as well as the entire complex from the pools to the gym equipments is quiet and clean and that is something I highly look at upon choosing my place to live. I highly recommend this place. You will definitely feel safe with Polk County Sheriff's on the premise which is an A+ for me in feeling safe and secure.

For the amount of inconveniences I should not pay over $1600 for a 2.2 bedroom. It's not as clean and up dated for the price I pay. And newer tenants come in paying less than I do very unfair with washer and a dryer.

I went to go take a tour for the 1 bedroom apartment. She was so nice and helpful to me and was offering to get me through the application process. She also called me to see if I followed through or if I needed help on the application. I also like the office it’s very nice and clean and the presentation looks better since they’ve remodeled it.

Amenities are advertised falsely. Gym is good but the second pool is still under construction with no turn around time frame. Construction / renovations caused issues in the units, which took longer to be resolved. Construction workers leave trash by unoccupied units. Pet waste collection isn't strictly enforced.

Not a good experience at all. Maintenance is shotty, the grounds are usually dirty, and the pot holes every where will damage your vehicle. Electricity and water comes and goes whenever it feels like it. All this said and management is still cruel and not willing to work with residents. Look elsewhere!

I had to move unexpectedly and was worried about finding an affordable place that i could take my two dogs. i ended up renting a studio for a decent price and perfect size for us. there’s plenty of grass to walk your dogs, a decent sized dog park, and it’s always so quiet, margie was quick and helpful all the way through and made sure i got a unit that fit all my needs. i’m super appreciative. i’ve only been here a couple days but so far i would recommend this place especially if you’re looking to live somewhere on your own.

Previous property management was awful, not one tenant could get in contact with her! Communication has improved well since she has left. My only complaint for current leasing is maintenance efficiency. I LOVE OUR MAINTENANCE TEAM!!! However i do feel as though some requests should not take 24-48 hours to fix. When i have a toilet that may be clogged and could cause a flood it took 2 days for them to come look at the request and did not get the job done correctly because i had to contact again to get issue completed.

It was excellent when moved in but now when I need things done to the apartment it takes awhile and sometimes I have to keep asking. They keep the grounds and building clean you see that everyday but when something goes away within the apartment you have a hard time getting someone to fix it

I've been living here since 2020 I wasn't pleased with the previous management company we had major issues with a rent the double books the late fees the pools not being open trash being overflowed Furniture left out drug dealers in the apartments I was told just to call the police since I've moved here I got to say the people in our office are kind they do try to help but yet the polls are always closed there's always damage I saw a person just throwing trash out from the car and leaving what Miss right there in the roadway I have seen people leave their dog poo poo underneath the stairwell I have seen many things but the one thing is occasionally finances are hard and evidently the management company if you're even 10 days late you get a possible eviction 3 days late you get a letter on your door within reason since you get paid and I found ways to pay you I would appreciate more reasonableness and more leeway for our management team here to manage those that do pay and do get caught up and are very understanding to speak to the upper management on who they should be hardcore with and those that they shouldn't

I use flex to pay my rent and it takes them a day or 2 past to post my rent and then still decide to charge me a late fee every time. I've talked to them about it but it still happens and happens every month

I haven't been very satisfied residing here. Maintenance not fulfilling my requests, having to pay for the gym that is apart of the community, paying to use laundry service that is rigged, paying for car decal that wasn't required when I first moved in but now it is. The first should be free to the residents any any after that souls be additional cost.

I despise this community because I have to play maze runner with the potholes on the parking lot and the complex loves asking for money and not fix their issues, the maintenance stay forgetting about you and your issues and I had to pay $25 to access a gym that I pay rent in, and they tried to have us pay parking fee with this road full of potholes.
