Was my first apartment and was overall not a negative experience. The unit rarely had maintenance issues and the maintenance men were always riding around so all you had to do was flag one down and he'd come fix it. They would host events but I never attended. There was also two laundry facilities and the one I used was no trouble, always plenty of machines to use. Sadly, I never felt secure here. There was a fence that, when I first moved in, had a huge hole in it people were constantly walking through, right past my building. I'm not even sure if these were residents, because there was a neighborhood right next to Sailwinds. It as pretty shady, especially since the lights weren't usually working at night. I would always carry a knife or a baton with me. They did later rebuild the fence which was great but within the first day a new hole had been smashed into it. they patched it quickly, so people started jumping the fence. Adults, and children. Men and women. There as also a very disturbing occurrence my last day. I was walking back from the office, past the laundry facility I never used, and a child ran up and approached me. He asked if I would go with him. When I looked up I saw a man waiting at the laundry facility. I told the boy no, even though he persisted, and went on my way. It gave me a very bad feeling. So while I wish I could fully recommend this complex I sadly cannot. It's not a bad place, but it sits in/near a bad area.

Absolutely horrible. Patched together, and hasn't been renovated since they were built. Be prepared to call maintenance once a week. NEVER seen a mouse in my life until I moved here. Ventilation is horrible, you smell EVERYTHING from the surrounding apartments. Worst experience ever. Nina in the rental office is a front. No offense to her, but she's really sweet and attentive, and that's what suckered me in. It's been hell ever since.

I have had a great experience at Sailwind Apartments. I moved here from another state and Nina was so helpful with giving me quick and accurate information. I didn't not have to wait weeks before I heard back from her regarding any questions I had or about my application status. Maintenance is also great! When I moved in, my toilet was running. They came by to check on me and fixed it then and everything has been great since! Pools are very relaxing. Laundry facilities are nice and there are plenty to where you do not have to wait till a washer/dryer is available. Mature shade trees all over the property which makes it nice to sit out by the pool. I would recommend anyone to live here.

This place is terrible, yea its cheap when compared to other apartment complexes within the same zip code but theirs a reason for that. Cigarette butts and dog feces everywhere watch your step, nobody cleans up and rules are not enforced. Constantly have people from OTHER apartments (non-residents) in the pool and oh man do they trash it and leave. The pictures online make this place look like a god damn five star penthouse when the reality is its garbage. The "gym" is about 4 machines that are low quality and the elliptical has a worn bearing so its noisy as hell when your using it, and the hours of when its open make it pointless if you work a regular 8am-5pm job like most people. Paid one payment late and had to pay the extra $50, for a month now we've been getting notices stating to pay the late fee that was already paid, spoke to management the first time they said it was a mistake, spoke to ------ a second time who did some "math" and said it also was a mistake. Today two ladies show up, and attempt to collect another $50. Yeah I realize we should have paid on time but sometimes things happen and we only paid a week late, I can't believe how clueless these people are, this place is shady as hell, seems like they only care about getting people in and out I'll bet money that were not getting our security deposit back even though we've taken care of everything. Run far away from this place. Only thing good is the maintenance guys doesn't make a bit of difference though.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Sailwind Apartments. I came home last night to find my air blowing out hot air. The thermostat was at 85. I called the emergency number. Within five minutes, a maintenance man had called back. Within 15 minutes, he was at my apartment (and he did not live onsite). Within 30 minutes, my air conditioner was fixed and I was cooling down. WOW!!!

I'm fairly new n complex and wish I had never moved here got 8 months left on stupid lease, my problem I've I counter is there lack of concern for residents safety. They allow 3rd party repair ppl ie. Pest control man to enter your apartment unescorted. They just give out your apartment keys to anybody. I've stayed in other apartments and I've never experienced anything like this. Who to say that the bug man is not going threw my stuff no one is there to keep an eye on him..then soon as something come up missing.the office gone be like.. Do u have ins. Cause we are not responsible for stuff like that... I sure would like to talk to management about this issue..2132673352 ...Dave thanks

Don't even waste your time looking at this place. If you are searching, move on. I realize this is an older complex but given the rental cost, I would have expected better. This place is a joke. The front office, pool and club house area, that which is seen from the road, are maintained but, as you go to the back of the complex, things go down hill quickly. Grounds are trashy, the laundry rooms are filthy, the outdoor air conditioning equipment has pieces of wood jammed between there covers and the buildings to hold them together, apartment window screens, outdoor lights, ETC are broken and torn up, patio rails falling off and missing. I could go on but the overall state is deplorable. The over all presentation and feel is that of leaving in the projects and you'll have to keep looking over your shoulder for the muggers and crack dealers and hope your apartment or vehicles don't get broken into.

This place is a joke. The property management team is unprofessional and when you do finally get a chance to speak to one of them, they are rude and condescending. This place is a revolving door of residents and management because most don't stay here a year before leaving. There is no sense of urgency with the management and when you do let them know about things they get VERY confrontational. I've literally waited weeks for them to come and fix what should be relatively minor fixes for maintenance. I also hear that the rent will be going up which definitely isn't justified for this area. Cars are being broken into almost daily. A few weeks ago a fight broke out by one of pools and someone was stabbed. They had the pool off limits for about a month. They lied to us about what really happened, saying it was closed for maintenance. People who don't even live in the complex hang out by the pool and smoke weed with no regards of the kids in the area. There are many kids in the area but you don't generally see them outside playing because it just isn't safe; which is a shame.The laundry rooms haven't been cleaned in at least a year and a half with spiders all over the place. And if you look at the webs you'll see that those are roaches caught in them. STAY AWAY. I'm sure there are better places to rent in Winter Haven

I enjoy it here with my husband been here since 2011 and want to continue to stay here so im hoping the rent for us does not go up to much or we wont be able to stay. I heard from a lot of people that r rent is going up almost 100 dollars more a month and thats rediculous please have some respect for us long time renters

After 7 years of living here at Sailwind Apts, having seen several managers come and go. All of whom have their personal styles in which they assist us 'tenants', I find myself becoming disappointed with corporate's current choice. The Manager should be the Face of the complex, and one would think that would include a little 'face time', a little personal concern, for the folks whose rent checks pay for their livelihood. O course, that would require a Manager who is actually in the office enough to interact with the community. Fortunately, the Maintenance Manager is available to address my concerns (even when they have no bearing on Maintenance whatsoever).

I would not trust them. I move from Kansas to fl. they told my wife and me that we had a place to live the they told me one thing then they told us something different. then I hear them in the back ground that we was not the right race .I am -----..... they are big liers.....

I am a recent single mother and moved to sailwind about five months ago. The staff are all so friendly and most importantly for me is that i feel safe. Everyone that works there does there best to accommodate your needs in a timely and polite manner. I love it here.

I have lived here since 1981, and I feel it is a wonderful place to call my home! The office staff are magnificent, kind, sincere, and always helpful. Maintenance requests are rapidly taken care of, and the staff members have made me feel like we all are one big family. Through the years, I have always felt like this is a place of beautiful surroundings, and I have felt safe and protected in such a friendly environment. The lake, trees, sunsets, and great neighbors have always contributed toward making Sail Wind Apartments feel like a special place to live. Home is not just made up of four walls. The surroundings and the people here have made me feel like this apartment complex is a true treasure, and my own apartment is a place I can be proud to live in as my home. There is a special peacefulness and an atmosphere of genuine friendliness, here, and the outstanding staff have made this possible with their caring attitude and positive outlook. That's why I have chosen to live here for so many decades! The Sail Wind Apartments are the greatest, and I am thankful to be a part of such a special place to live. I have been with sailwind apartments for 4 years. They are the best. I live upstairs and i love it. If i have any maintenance issues they take care of it in a timely manner. If i run into any problems with my rent payment they work with me and help me out. I plan on renewing.

I have lived here 4 months and regret ever moving in, it is a very unsafe environment and neighborhood, constant drug activity and on top of that homeless people wonder in at all times of the day going through the dumpsters, I recently caught a homeless person on a bicycle trying to break into my car and I called the police but he had taken off, the apartment is decent but could use some repairs on the flooring and walls, bottom line you get what you pay for but I'd rather pay more for somewhere else, I will be moving out soon

this place is unbelievable, staff in incompetent, the safely is poor. they will show u the front of the apt, the back is terrible, the gate in back is for people to walk thru to go to store in N-WOOD THE HOOD. anyone can use pool that don't live there. grounds that a story in half it joke. laundry room is dirty. they will hit your car, marks all over car. apartment as is when u move in. they will promise they will fix things we been there since Feb 2014, never came fix the sink in kitchen hard to turn, floor never replace, fan in bathroom don't work or in any apt. so where is the moisture going when use the shower, in wall to form mold.....other night people that don't live here was fighting in parking lot in back. had call winter haven police department. things hae been stolen off patio, drug apt in this place all around pool. u see traffic around 11- 2 am in morning. DON'T LIVE DOWNSTAIRS U WILL NEVER GET ANY SLEEP. FLOOR ARE THIN AS ICE. DRAINS FELL DOWN MONTH AGO THERE STILL ON THE GROUND. WHEN RAIN IT POUR. IN DOOR WAY AND ALL.

We moved in 6 months ago and we love it and the surroundings are great. They really do take care of the complex. When we ask for something to get done in our apartment it is done very fast and clean.
