Since the new managment took over, I have had a pleasant experience here at Sailwinds apartments. The staff is friendly, professional and treat you as a human being. Whenever I have a problem, I am able to contact someone and they can point me to the right direction if they don't know themselves. The renovations happening right now are a minor nuisance with the noise, but the feel of the place is very welcoming.

The moving in process was fast and easy, the staff are so nice and professional. I have met a few great neighbors already who are really friendly. Great prices for the amount of space you get and quality of the apartment you get. The pools like nice and clean, there is alot of lighting everywhere at night. I have not seen any bugs so far. I'm happy I moved here.

It has had it's up's and down's but overall great place to live in. New management doing really good. The new look on the property and the buildings are really nice, new apartment setup is amazing. Lighting outside in the areas is exceptional.

I love the studio floorplan and location of the complex. Apartments need major upgrading, which is what the new management is doing but rents on new units are ridiculously high. Storm windows would be a great improvement.

Close to shopping. Short distance to major roadways providing access to major cities and air travel. The location is Quiet and located away from major roads but with easy access to various amenities. The community is well laid out and the buildings have various floor plans available.

After living here for 2 years, my experiences have been positive and negative. Unfortunately, recent events have changed my positive view of this complex. The management's attitude seems to be all about the money rather than the safety and comfort of their residents. They would rather change the paint and exterior than face the fact that no one follows rules around here. Office staff are rude, maintenance problems are not addressed in a timely manner, and the people here simply don't care about who they rent to. My first year was great with the old management, those people cared. This year, no thank you, will not be renewing lease.

BH management properties have been consistently good places to live. We have lived in 5 properties over the years. Always fair honest at moveout which is rare. This property has terrific office staff and maintenance Hector is professional, kind, and always figures out what's wrong. Sometimes it is slower than you would like but you have to remember your not the only request. Thank you Haven, job well done.

I have lived here since 2007. I have nothing but a wonderful time here. The newest owners and management team are really making this community updated and very appealing. The renovation of the apartments are so nice.

Overall, it's a great place to live. Conveniently located and the management has done a lot to renovate and update the property. The staff is always courteous and prompt. The community is relatively quiet and neighbors truly neighborly.

The apartments are improving with new management. Apartments will be nice with renovations. I hope the windows are going to be replaced because they are horrible. The bathroom fixtures are all very old and rusty. My refrigerator sounds like a bomb when it cuts off.

I like living in this community. The neighbors are quiet for the most part, and we are within quick driving distances of all kinds of stores and restaurants. Maintenance is quick to respond to issues, at least when I have an ac issue or an idiot moment with the fridge. The complex has recently come under new management, and they are trying their best to fix some issues from the old management and new issues arising because of the management switch. That being said, I feel like there's a 75% of having to go down to the office every month because something flubbed up on rent bill. It does seem to take management a while to respond to emails, and they prefer to respond with calls. Calls into management only ever seem to reach the voicemail. There are some ridiculous policies in place about when a broken AC counts as an emergency, and the work out room is only available during business hours. I have heard some people complain that the apartments are small for the price, but I'm personally more concerned with price than a full breakfast nook. The internet providers are Spectrum and Frontier. The electric is through TECO. The water/sewage/pest/trash are through the complex. There are two pools, some type of ball court (tennis but no net), and multiple doggie potty stations around the grounds. We have a gazebo on Lake Deer and plentiful parking. Parking is not assigned, however, some cars on the outer edges of the north parking lot (near the fence) were broken into a few months ago.

I am happy living here. It is a quiet location, my neighbors are friendly, and the office staff have been pleasant and competent the few times I've worked with them. The exterior of the buildings are currently being renovated, and I like what they are doing. I am hopeful that the kitchen can be updated next.

I like that the complex is doing some renovations, making the complex up to date and more inviting to both current and future residents. The staff is very helpful and polite. The complex is in a nice area and quiet. I have not had any problems.

Once we moved in, the community and apartment did not look anything like the ones online. I'm on the second floor, the walls and floors are so thin that you can always hear creaking even if you take a step. I have two small children and I'm a STAY AT HOME MOM!!!! This community (People) act like they never had small children before. Always having to hear that multiple stupid people are always complaining that in my apartment there is so much noise. I mean there's so much I can do. It's not my fault that sailwinds is so cheap and they can't invest in better by making their apartments and community better. Their laundry rooms is so filthy and disgusting. Let alone inside the apartment there's so much mold everywhere. I'm really concerned about the health issues about my children. Sailwinds surprises you we different fees. We are dying leave!!!!!!! DO NOT MOVE IN HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT. TRUST ME

If you move here, expect your life to LITERALLY revolve around Jewish holidays. The community's gym and laundry-card reload machine are located in the office which was conveniently open 7 days a week until new management took over. They closed the office every Sunday for Shabbat, which was inconvenient enough. And the office has been closed for days now for Rosh Hashanah. This was an unpleasant surprise for everyone as there is no other way to load your laundry card, except in the office. Many people in this community rely on the bus for transportation. So, how are those individuals supposed to have clean clothes for work and school, with these inconvenient and unannounced closings in a complex that literally does not have a single Jewish tenant?

If you move here you will definitely develop some type of ILLNESS as the rest of us will. The maintenance staff refuses to clean the laundry rooms. The laundry rooms are absolutely disgusting and with so many people living here we are bound to start getting sick from having to clean our clothes in a room that is absolutely disgusting. Speaking of maintenance staff, they never fix anything and are exempt to all the rules the rest of us have to follow. If you have anything at all that management does not like on your balcony they send you a letter threatening eviction. But their lazy maintenance crew not only live rent-free, they live like slobs and their balconies and breezeways look like they're throwing yard sales. Ignore the cheap rent, they love to surprise you with new things that you have to pay for every year that they used to and should be paying for. Save yourself a headache and save your family from developing a life-threatening illness and don't move into this place. Also, ignore the hardwood floors in their photos, NONE of the units have them. The photos I uploaded are of the laundry room.

My wife and I just moved out of Sailwinds after we did our time ( one year lease). Let's just cut to the Chase. We would never recommend anyone move there. We moved in from the north after my wife was transferred to Florida her with her job. We had to call in for directions and the woman in the office stated she was not sure how to get there. The maintenance of the unit we moved into was almost non existent. Faucets rotted away, A/C not working and leaking in the middle of the hallway, air filters not cleaned or changed in an entire year, balcony rails pulling off of the wall, management staff extremely rude, open air drug sales and use, shootings someone enters your apartment once a month for one reason or another. Our car was broken into and money and alcohol stolen from our apartment. Now on the up side.....they are under new ownership. The problem...the same management and maintenance staff are still running the complex.

Here recently, the apartments were brought by a new company and they have been repainting all of the residential buildings, patio fences, and doors. All of us residents received a letter on our door last night from the painting company stating that they were going to paint the interior trim of our front doors. In this letter the majority of the words were misspelled, the painting company would have keys to our apartment doors, there would be a security person with them but did not state of it was an officer or from what company, they did not give us 24 hour notice, and office management or maintenance did not put it on our doors. I called and left a message at the leasing office and emailed the corporate office of my concerns. And guess what, nobody has called or emailed me back. I find this very concerning as they are not thinking about their residents.

Worst place to live, Absolute filth. You need to REALLY listen to these reviews. I didn't even though I saw them before moving in, I thought, "well, my experience will be different" I took the tour, the staff was friendly, it was all nice, that was all just to get me to sign a lease, once you're in, you will see the difference, but by that time, you will be out close to 10,000 dollars considering the total investment. If you're going to make a purchase for 10,000 be careful about it. These people only care about your money, think about where you are spending you time to LIVE. I won't write specifics about this, as several people already have. You have the reviews, you have been warned.
