You must not believe everything someone says about there own personal issuses!!
Let me just say I have lived in apartments for over Six Years now and I have been here for two years and I am very happy!!! I will say like any other property they all have there problems we do live in Atlanta, this area of town is very nice with professionals i think that there is a great make up of people living here... As far as name dropping I want do that instead i will address the staff as a whole I think they do a great job with funtions for the residents and dealing with any other issuses that may come up.. I think most of your statements have been greatly unfair yes we have had a car break in or two but so has every other property in a five mile radius of here. I have taken the time to go to local crime watch meetings and at the three I have gone to I can count the residents that represents The Heights At Northlake. Instead off being messing I suggest you use your energy to stand with the rest of us to make all of homes where we live safe am sorry I just think some of your comments you guys sound bitter!! Again I love living here and i just renewed my lease for another six months!!

Thinking of Moving here...please help
Hi! I have been thinking about living here due to its location and proximity to work. I want to get a 2/2. I have read the reviews and was wondering has anything changed. I used to live at the heights at cheshire bridge and remember when they got greedy and signed a contract with AIU and Bauder college it was like 4 students to a 2 bedroom!! the property went downhill, and I left, but since then they no longer rent to schools. I was also wondering about the crime. I know that there has been an increase in crime in the Atlanta area (saw postings from Post Briacliff and crime stats)due to a crime spree so was wondering if the crime has stopped, if it was just a few perps or is this like an everyday occurance. If all of this is true and this place is really horrible, where in the area is better. Thanks for your help:-)

Thanks!!!
Thank you sooooo much for the honest reviews. I was a signature away from moving into The Heights. I'm a single female and i'm very particular about my car and MY SAFETY!!! I actually looked at them while they were still building them two years ago and they've always stayed in the back of my mind. Now that I am ready for a move, they were the first place I went too. I still absolutely loved it after my tour, but i noticed a couple of things right off. No security and kids. My preference is for professional tenants and very few kids. I asked the person that I was working with about the caliber of people and they wouldn't disclose that information because it was against the fair housing act. Good thing I had my spidey senses on full blast!! I returned again and I saw several childer entering that were just getting out of school. Anyway, thanks again for the heads-up.

The problem is management and the criminals know it...
The Heights at Northlake is a beautiful luxury apartment complex located in a shady area. Just inside the perimeter next to Northlake Mall. I've read most of the reviews and although some may be a bit emotional I believe they all are true. I've lived here for almost a year and I've never felt safe not one day. As soon as you move in you start to see the place for what it is. There are too many young people here (apartment leases to nearby Cordon Bleu) families with young kids and lots of shady people. I've seen the cars that have been broken in to. My roomate's care was broken into twice. There is always trash left in the garages, dog poop on stairs, puddles of pee (prob from both humans and dogs) near elevator, vomit and trash in elevator. It's true that all apartments have their problems but I believe the problems are escalated because the staff does not care. The manager, ----, is the rudest staff member. He never has solutions to any problems and always defers to that's just how it is. I believe he needs to be fired for his lack of professionalism and it's true that the break ins are mostly from residents who live here but they know the staff here isn't going to do anything about it so the crime continues. I think nothing ---- change unless something happens to their personal property. I'm writing a letter to corporate to report on the things that go on here. I've lived in other apartment complexes and this one by far is the worse. If you have to live here please be on guard b/c no here is watching your back.

Looks can be deceiving, would not reccomend.
My husband and I moved to the heights in August of 2007. The property was beautiful, staff was so nice at the time, and we fell in love. We were so excited. 2 months later; Christmas was coming; shots fired about 15 rounds on a Sunday morning, around 40 cars were broken into in the parking garage with a length of time (which was really convenient, but dangerous if you were a female to be in there by yourself. After we heard of all this danger going on, my husband did not want me walking to my vehicle every morning by myself, so he had to walk me out there WITH HIS HAND GUN every morning until we finally realized, let's just park out in the parking lot and lose the convenience of the parking deck. Before we realized that, I witnessed a vehicle being stolen, called the courtesy officer and the office, and no one called me back, my husbands truck was broken into as well, everything stolen, nothing could be done. We told the office, their response was, " if you live inside the perimeter, things like this will happen". THAT WAS IT!! BS! So we fixed the broken window, ordered a new stereo, ordered our new satellite system, one month later, my vehicle was broken into, along with 10 other vehicles. My car was inoperable at the time and we took everything out of it, so there was nothing to steal, but they still attempted to and damaged my car. After we started to park outside of the parking garage, things started going down hill from there even more. IT'S A GATED COMMUNITY!!!! THUGS LIVE IN THIS FACILITY, how they can afford thousands every month, I have NO CLUE!! We told management, we wanted out!! I was pregnant at the time, and I could not see myself raising a child in that facility. I couldn't even walk my dog around the complex because I did not feel safe. We didn't spend one day at the pool, one day in the office area with the pool table, you had to watch your back every where you went. This day I am writing this, 5/2/08 at 11:45PM, we ran into some neighbors at red lobster that we used to live across from whom still live there, but are moving out soon, last night, there were 6 cars put on blocks in the parking garage and all tires stolen off of them. We drove in there tonight and witnessed it ourselves. One car was left on blocks, and the poor guy that owned the vehicle was out there at the same time, and he was torn to pieces. A PICTURE IS ATTACHED. NO SECURITY!!! A walking night courtesy officer is not good enough, obviously. If you want safe and security, it's so not worth it. Don't waste any of your hard earned money. Believe me, we wasted ours. We were there from August 2007, until March 2008, and never returning to that nightmare ever again. The news needs to be contacted. Something has to be done.

I love this place!!!!
This place is great. I have been here for 6 months love it. My apartment is gorgeous and I have a great view of the amazing pool. They have resident functions like brunches and have breakfast here in the mornings. This place has gotten a little bit of a bad wrap but it's because people are stupid. What do you expect when you leave your valuable in plain view. Any time I have ever had an issue or work order maintenance has taken care of it quickly. The staff is very nice and always takes the time to say hi and ask how I am doing. I love it here and I will sign another lease when this one through.

What??
I guess I don't get it. The past comments talks about how bad Heights at Northlake is. I just moved here from a Camelot at Northlake which is right next door. This place puts them to SHAME!! It is 100% cleaner, the residents are 100% nicer, I haven't seen half the crime that we had at Camelot, the apartments here are new, I got a sweet deal on a big one bedroom, the other places around don't have half the amenities this place has ... so I don't get it. If you think Heights at Northlake is bad, you should check out the other choices in this area. The other choices don't compare. I love it here and my neighbors love it here.

Diamond in the rough
Depending on what you need, let's just cover the basics: the apartments are beautiful, the staff is amazing (worthing companies is a cut above the rest)and no matter WHO you speak to, they are ALWAYS professional, courteous, and helpful, honestly, they are the reason why I moved here..., but there are a few details about the place that are due to the area. I mean, this facility is off the highway in a island between stone mountain and tucker...so the surrounding areas and some of my neighbors are a little sketchy, and there will be petty crime, car theft, etc....this area is going to cost a little less to live in, so you will get more college students, strippers, dough boys, mixed with professionals, etc. However, if you have been living in crappy 1990 built apartment homes, that are old and pest invested, (that seem to be the norm in certain parts of the metro ATL area) this definitely is a step in the right direction. You will see occassionally a few red small ants, but pest control comes every friday to handle that and keeps it under control. The noise level can be very aggravating, and due to the age of some of the newer tenants, the music is getting louder and you will hear it from time to time. The hallways have been getting a little cleaner, but some of the floors have not been finished (still in raw concrete form) and it is extremely unsightly. Hopefully they will fix this soon (at least paint the floors on the newer sections). Other than that, please remember, this is apartment living, you will never have complete peace and quiet until you live in a house. But if you have to live in a apartment, this is the best leasing company to be with, and they are literally building newer facilites, although more expensive, in nicer areas.

Do not be fooled by the flashy exterior...
This place looks very nice on the outside and the amenities are great, but it also has alot of crime. My girlfriend has lived here since 7/07 and we cannot wait until her lease is up. At least every other month, someone is breaking into the fire dept box to open the gate with a switch, and then cars end up getting broken into. If you do not believe us, we have the flyers they send out everytime cars get broken into. Then they say they have cameras-yeah on at the front entrance and one at the entrance to the parking deck...which show absolutely nothing. There is no security even though all the residents here agree its needed. The hallways are left dirty because they are made out of concrete so whatever stain is there, will remain there (ie someone dropped a piece of cake on the floor in December and now its a part of the ground). I will say it is a beautiful place as far as the pool and other common areas go, but you are better off spending your one thousand dollars renting downtown. Oh yeah, and someone keeps stealing weights out of the fitness room so now my girlfriend cant workout because all of the 2lb and 5lb weights are gone. When we first moved here there were bmw's, lexus, and porche's in the garage. Now, since they are having trouble renting the places out, you have alot of young people living here and being loud and immature (as we were at that age).

Look CArefully at what you see !!!
At first glance I feel in love with this very spacous and modern apartment. The kitcken is very nicely furnished with stainless steel appliances. My two bedroom even came with a washer and dryer. However, after moving in i realized that neither of the bedrooms had a cieling light in it, nor did the living room area. The counter tops that appear to be granit at first glance or nothing more than vynle. The pool view was the best selling point of teh place. I never heard too much from the neighbors themselves, however, their pet dogs is a whole different issue. Also I was one of the people to have their vechile broken into while it was parked in the parking deck. The crook made off with a $2000 dollar in dash dvd player cause there are no camereas in that area. And, last is the fact that half the tenants are college students is a problem these are apartment homes not dorms.

The best customer service ever
I just want to say how much I truly enjoy living here. The community is absolutely beautiful! Everytime I've ever called the staff has always been courteous and caring. I have referred so many of my co-workers and friends to this community. I especially love Mr. Walker the Marketing Representative. He always makes me feel like I am the only resident, he is attentive and smiling everyime. I will definately be renewing my lease in January.

Great Place
I had been here since and during the constrution period.Over the the year and and a half I have seen residents come and some leave. This isn"t my first apartment living and probably won't be my last either, but i have seen alot worse with maintenance and office staff.I totally believe that our neighbors can also be some of the complaints that I have been reading on here.Everyday I see maintenence staff picking up grounds and when I walk around for fitness it doesnt take long to see others dropping papers from the cars as the come home and as they are leaving. No matter what time of day I call or go to the office they seem to be in a good mood. But,yes there are day maybe not as cheerful as others.Dogs barking like we live in a kennel, yes there are some that can get on your nerves as you come down the halls to our apartments. Why don't the dog owners pick up the pets messes.specially in the hallways? When my lease is up i will be staying for atleast another year.

One of the Best Luxury apartment I've lived in
After much research for a new apartment I decided on this on for more than one reason. The staff, management team, the ameneties, services and location. I can't tell you how much I enjoy living at THE Heights at Northlake. The leasing consultant was very professional on the phone, you could hear her excitement as she explain all of the wonderful features. I couldn't wait to get there and see the model and all the other great features this community has to offer. The leasing consultant spent time going over the floorplans, price and finding the best aptarment for me. My move in process went smoothly as I expected. The whole staff welcome me to the community. The experience was exceptional! I truly enjoy living here. Everytime I call or come in the office everyone has been so pleasant. I haven't had any problems with my apartment and when I've called for maintenance issue it was resolved immediately. Not only will I recommend this community to friends, co-workers and family. I will probably extend my lease when it expires. I couldn't of made a better decision.

To the lady in maintenance
I wanted to say a Big THANK YOU to the lady who works in maintenance, I am picky about who comes in to my home, and when I first moved in she came in to do some things in my house for me, introduced herself and told me that if I ever needed anything just to call the office and let them know and she would come by to check on me. I felt at ease, as if it were my own family coming in to help me. Thank you for all your help, and I finally understand how to work that thermostadt. :)

"THE HEIGHTS" UNCUT
EVERYTHING has been a huge disappointment since day 1. I would NOT let myself or anyone that I'm fond of move into that this place. I have a hole notebook of gripes, but I'll trim it to the following: - Thin walls, floors and ceilings (go figure). It's the cheapest new construction I've ever stepped foot in. - Dirty common areas and halls - Too many inconsiderate neighbors too many hoodrat teens! - A multitude of dogs barking on a daily basis(which sounds like a k-9 orchestra at times) - Careless management staff (whom doesn't seem to like each other or these tenants), they also don't realize how sickening there transparent phoniness is to the tenants - Marginal and jaded maintenance crew - Too many police visits (for theft response, evicts, domestic disputes, complaining neighbors, the list goes on ...) - A revolving door of good and bad tenants (both vacating and evictions) In summation, this apt complex is a "pretty looking housing projects". Although I met a hand full a people that don't see/feel the issues that occur here, I've seen many good tenants vacate, and many more contemplating the same. I wouldn't have stayed even if it was FREE! Other than that, I wasn't so bad (lol). - Me P.S. You probably don't want to here about the guy who got stabbed to death in his apt, so I won't go into detail about it, or about how management initially tried to hide the news from the tenants. However, I must admit, they did get a handle on all the car theft, break-ins and false fire alarms blaring at 3-4am on work nights.

Mostly good points .... but some not so great....
I've lived here since mid-April. So far, I have not been a party to any of the complaints that others have posted. The staff in the front office has always been VERY nice to me; I admit that sometimes I have had to wait in the lobby while they "market" to new tenants when I need to have some interaction with them.... but big deal.... I can wait a bit. Every complaint I have had has been fixed within a day; a couple of times I have had to call again for the same thing that wasn't fixed correctly but everything has been fixed. And yes, there was quick construction and there are some things like holes in the closets where the floor doesn't meet the wall.... guess what -- new houses right now have that too. I also am in a back corner away from I-285 so I don't hear the noise and thankfully I have very quiet neighbors and no children near me. And I'm on the top floor (which I was happy to pay for because I didn't want anyone on top of me). These are apartments!!! You can't choose your neighbors. And if anyone thinks that price keeps out riff-raff guess again..... the rich can be just as trashy as anyone else. Overall, I'd say a good place to live, but get a top floor apartment, away from 285, and ask for quiet neighbors.

The Best of the Best
I must say, I was suprised at the recent reviews!! My wife and I recently renewed our lease (in July 2007). We are very happy and a big part of the "friendly atmosphere" here. We attend every brunch the office cooks for us, grab a bite to eat on our way to work everyday and my wife attends the monthly grilling classes. One of the biggest bonuses we found when moving here was the laundry service. They will wash, dry and fold your clothes for you during the week. The added bonuses here were so far and above anything else we found in the Tucker-North Lake area. THe staff is awesome. The manager has gone over and beyond the call of duty time and time again. She actually delivered a package to our apartment while we were out of town. When we moved in, our leasing agent left us a big present welcoming us to our new apartment. Also my neighbors ... well, let's just say we are all very close now. I am not sure how to describe it... it just feels like home. Maybe it is just us (and the 20-30 people we associate with every month at the community brunch) but my wife and I could not be happier with our apartment, the neighbors and the staff.

grat place to call home
I just recently moved from Chicago to Atlanta, and I absolutely love this community. The services and apartment totally exceeded my expectations. Of course apartment living can be very challenging but I have found that this place really turns on the charm. We had an event by the pool in which they had a live jazz band and it was awesome. If you are looking for a great place to call home, please consider the Heights at Northlake.

Management sucks
Very very arrogant and bad manager -----, with her --------- like hair thinks she is the Queen bee.The whole management and workers there are rude, do not do the work in timely manner. They do their best to trouble residents in whatever way they can. Most of the staff is inexperienced, lazy, not coordinated..Some do not even know basic computer operation. They donot do any backgroung checks are filling in will all kinds of people. There has been so much crime here recently, its become so unsafe for us to live with vandalism, car break ins etc..I will not renew my 6 monthslease .Also another person to watch for is ----- ,who is equally arrogant, rude, inexpereinced, lazy to work I guess, hangs up the phone if you call him for some maintainence issues or anything else. This place SUCKS big time. Stay away from it esp ----- and -----.

I wouldn't suggest it!
At first glance this seems to be the perfect place to reside; but wait a minute! Remember when your parents told you "If it seems to good to be true it is." Well, this is a perfect example. The community is experiencing serious issues such as break-ins, car thefts, and unruly residents. The clubhouse had to reduce its hours because of vandalism, which is a HUGE inconvenience to the rest of the residents. There was security at night for a while, but I haven't seen them lately. Management is finally installing surveillance cameras, but it seems to be a day late and a dollar short. My concern is that they are moving in anyone, just to increase the occupancy. The apartments are extremely nice, but quick development leads to poor craftsmanship. The workers didn't even clean up the building debris before they installed the stove. The hallways are always dirty. Management is nice, but I am not convinced sincere. I am also not very confident that issues are taken care of in a timely manner. I won't be renewing my lease!

Breathe of Fresh Air
I rencently moved in to The Heights at Northlake, to be quite honest I went through the entire experience over the phone with a great Leasing Agent Named Zach. He walked me through the process, After changing my mind over different floor plans he worked with me to find the right apartment for me, I told him what I was looking for and he found it for me. Since I have moved in, I have developed a great working relationship with the office they help me whenever possible. This was my best move yet! I have recommended and would totally recommend this community to family friends and you.

Great Community to be had by all!
As I wind down my year of living here at Northlake, I wanted to to say what a wonderful experience it has been to live here. So much so, that I am renewing my lease for another year. The staff in the office has been delightful, and I would truly recommend anyone to live here. The maintenance staff is especially helpful and I can always depend on them to help in my time of need. Kudos to the staff!!!
