Getting worse!
Okay, it is now 2008 and the complex is on it's third management team! There are preteens and teenagers that run up and down the hallways at all hours of the night. Why are there so many kids anyway?? It's a one/two bedroom complex. Where are they sleeping? The Cordon Bleu students are loud and do not adhere to the quiet hours. There is dog feces EVERYWHERE!!! Cars are parked in the fire lane and car wash every night. When you tell management nothing happens. They put "Warning" stickers on windows, but with no consequences. There is always trash in the parking area and around the perimeter of the complex. Management claims someone walks around to clean up every morning, but I haven't seen evidence of that yet. I am disappointed at how fast this place has gone down. It's almost as if The Heights started accepting any application just to fill up all of the apartments. I'm embarassed to have company visit.

Not too happy
The complex is very nice and it could be a great place to live. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of crime in the complex and I am not sure how well residents are screened. There are many automobiles with expired plates and paper tags, including some vehicle sthat are obviously disabled. The noise from I-285 on the East side of the complex is terrible. I think the place is very nice now, but it will go downhill pretty fast. Too much money for the experience. I will not be renewing my 6 month lease.

Greatest Apartment Ever - From Ex military member!
This place does things right! Lived there for three months and I was great. They require renters insurance to move in, do credit checks, and have security. The units are sprinkled for fire and there is more landscaping there than any other place I have ever lived.<br>Management is very nice and the free resident brunches that they have are a great way of meeting nighbors.

Has gone downhill
I am a tenant at the Heights @ Northlake..I was one of the first reviewers on this site who gave it a good ratings when I moved in during December 2006. We were notified on 12/18/2008 that the Connor Group has purchased the property..which is now called "Northlake Apartments". Before Worthing sold the property, residents have had many issues with the culinary students from the Le Cordon Blue school whom have corporate leases here. As soon as the students arrived in late 07, the community begin to go down hill. This property as well as Five Oaks, another Worthing property off of Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker, GA are full of Le Cordon students. The complex is more like a domitory than an upscale apartment complex. The students, as well as other residents who have not a care in the world about the upkeep of the property, ignore the valet trash rules by leaving their garbage out in the breezeways when they aren't supposed to...food, cigarette butts, vomit, etc..are in the hallways and is rarely cleaned. The parkind deck is littered with debris as well. The Heights/Worthing management knew of this, and NEVER walked the grounds to clean this up. One of neighbors (students as well), dumps cooking grease from the balcony..which causes the walkways in the courtyards to be slippery because of this.. I am not renewing my lease because after research on this site of the Connor Group and the properties they managed and have recently purchased..they do not have good reviews. Unfortunately, I think the Heights will continue to go down hill from here. All the of the original tenants, such as myself are moving out. Save yourself the headache and move to a better complex.

Love it!!
I have great neighbors, the staff here is TOP NOTCH and the service is amazing. I have a large one bedroom with and island kitchen, all stainless steel everything, overlook this big fountain and the place washes my clothes (top that). They also gave me two months pro-rated over my lease free, two months up front free and cut my deposit in half. VERY pleased!!

Just Renewed...
I have lived at The Heights at Northlake for 6 months and just signed my next renewal. It's great here. They have an "all-out" breakfast during the week with fruit, begals, oatmeal, breakfast bars, etc. They wash, dry & fold my clothes for the residents and pick up the trash at my door every day. My apartment has tall ceilings, stainless steel everything, tall cabinets & these really cool light fixtures everywhere. The people in the office are really nice and have events for the tenants all the time. This was a great choice and don't plan on moving anytime soon!!
