Great Atmosphere

Brittwood has recently installed a wash rack and turbovac for washing and vacume their vehicles. Compared to most apartments in Columbus, Britwood maintains the upper hand for the best apartments complex in Columbus, Georgia.

The Blossom of Love

Brittdavid Apartments in Columbus, Georgia has a fine staff and excellent manager that cares for every tennant...it's one thing she does and that is work hard to insure your stay is very pleasant. The people that stay at Brittwood are very friendly and the new Pool just adds to that enjoyment. I signed another year lease because I enjoy it here and love what Brittwood has to offer not only for children, but adults as well. There's no place in Columbus I would rather be than Brittwood. Brittwood State Pen

Are you kidding me? When we lived at Brittwood they sent a newsletter out basically saying you weren't supposed to be outside after 10PM. I understand they don't want loitering, but who wants to pay their hard earned money to have a CURFEW where they live? Then they tear the basketball court down so they can move the maintenance building (not to mention get rid of the 2nd pool) so they can build more apartments. Yeah, great idea to get rid of some of the amenities everyone expected to have when they moved it. Also, kids actually USED that basketball court. Nice way to say "have your kids stay inside and get fat playing video games all day so we can make more money." These apartments are crap either way. There are really no features that I would brag about. Talk about ants, ants, ants! Bathroom and kitchen looked disgusting no matter how much you cleaned them. Also, all the lounge chairs at the pool were broken! No wonder they need to build more apartments, they can't even afford new lounge chairs. You get what you pay for with these hunks of junk they want you to call your home. Glad we're gone.

Brittwood is the worse place to live you ask to get something fixed and maybe 1 to 2 weeks later they come to fix it but you have to keep reminding them. Its very noisy you here your neighbors. I cant wait to get out of here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Worst Place to Live

I just want to say that all this Apartment is out for is your money. They will charge a horrific amount of money if you have to break the lease, even if you are military or your job transfers you. After you move you get a another bill for everything they believe you owe to them. No matter how nice they are when you are thinking about renting, they will screw you over when it is time to leave.

Wow!

I just moved into Brittwood and WOW! First off, the staff treated me like I was the most important person in the world. I had shopped around, but wasn't treated even half as good anywhere else. They helped me to pick out the perfect apartment for me instead of trying to steer me to the one they wanted me to live in. All my paperwork was ready when I came to move in and they escorted me to my new home. It was perfect. I'm loving it here!

Extreme Makeover -- More Like Extreme Rip-Off

For months Brittwood has advertised and boasted of their Extreme Makeover!! Don't let the allusion to the television show fool you -- Brittwood and Thayer properties did no such thing. The upgrades to the property included the new clubhouse and pool. The picture that you see in the Apartment Rental Book is of the Clubhouse and as a consumer I feel that is misleading. The apartments are little better than that of government housing. If you are in a bottom level apartment, expect to hear your upstairs neighbors walk through their apartment. At all times of the night there are people coming in and out of the apartment complex with their radios blaring. The gates rarely work and are constantly having to be repaired. The office staff are incompetant, rude, and unhelpful. The maintenance staff left crude letters with remarks about the work orders that I submitted, making me feel that my request were unnecessary -- a leaking dishwasher that takes a month to drain after one washing is a problem!! The apartment was never robbed, but the storage unit was broken into. AND finally -- upon moving out -- we received a 3 page list -- in an untimely manner -- of items that needed to be in place and what needed to be cleaned. I WISH that I had that list when we made the initial moving in inspection, because the apartment was not in the condition that they expected it to be in upon our leaving. We were charged for cleaning costs. When called to ask about specifics I received the runaround about the charges and was told I would have to speak with someone else. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE avoid Brittwood like the plague. Their product and service is not worth your money!!

STAY FAR AWAY FROM BRITTWOOD

I've had nothing but problems with Brittwood apartments after moving out <br>they sent us a bill for all kinds of charges $800.00 worth office staff is terrible <br>now I'm trying to get a lawyer in GA .And Brittwood sent me to a collection agency.<br>after I asked them to hole the bill so i could speak with a lawyer.

Do not move here

My husband and I moved out into a new home. We were charged 1200.00 for breaking the lease. I went in and paid them in full but a few months later they came back saying I still owed them money. Their staff is incompetant and never knows what is going on, but they are eager to take your money.

Just moved into Brittwood and I must say the office staff went above and beyond the call of duty to assist me with an out of state move. If you are looking for a decent apartment in a great area with friendly folks then this is your place! I would recommend it to others.

PLEASE DON'T move to BRITTWOOD

Its the worst place i've ever been/ LOOKs nice from a far but far from nice. The staff is one of the biggest problems. We were told we had a DOG someone saw me with a dog (I'V NEVER HAD A DOG ) But that was not the end of it we were sent a number of $$ bills trying to get us to pay for a dog that we never had. the staff would not even walk down to the apartment to come look. We've lived in many apartment never had such a problem ( JUST LOOK AROUND FOR ANOTHER PLACE TO LIVE IT WILL BE THE BEST MOVE ) one less headache. You dont need. 2 months after we Moved out we got a bill for $853.80 Lost key/ Trash / etc etc etc we handed them the keys & left one bottle of cleaner Now 2months later im in NH 23 hours away every time i called someone would say oh okay well take care of it ( then i got another BILL) or after a while i'd say my NAME and Id get oh sorry no ones here at the moment ( yeah right) PLEASE TELL PEOPLE DONT let this happen to other GOOD people Please tell your friends to stay away from BRITTWOOD

I just moved to Brittwood from Iraq. I decided to rent here over Whisperwood because the staff a Whisperhood treated me like another soldier coming in however the leasing agent at Brittwood was very friendly over email and made the process much easier. I will recommend Brittwood to other military members as well. <br><br>Lt.M.Johnston

this place is nothing special..if you ever need to get anything fixed, get used to having to call numerous times...the air condition in my apt was not working in the middle of the summer and it took them until the next summer when my lease was up to finally fix it...the staff werent very personable...i never felt safe in the surroundings, there was poor lighting and just always felt unsafe walking around at night

High crime area!

What the previous reviewer said is true.<br>This is NOT a safe place to live. <br>I, along with eight other people had our<br>individual apartments broken into and robbed in<br>one three month period. The staff would do<br>absouletly nothing to stop the break ins.<br>Their response was that "crime is up all over town". No way would I live here unarmed.<br>I highly recommend renters insurance too, <br>you'll need it.

It's a roof over your head

Our lease is up and can't wait to get out, the complex has gone downhill, even if there is an "Extreme Makeover in Progress"! The apartment construction's bad, the walls aren't straight, they paint over wallpaper, use waterbase paint so if you have to wipe down a wall you take the paint off, they use tons of spackle to patch and then paint, the garbage disposals sound like they're grinding a dinosaur when it's only a piece of shredded cheese, the breezeways look like the back alley behind a bar. I don't feel safe here anymore, if you have a complaint the staff says they know and are working on it..but never do anything, there's only one entrance in and out of here and they've moved all the trash containers to the middle and back of complex. It really sucks when you're a hardworking respectful family just trying to have a decent life with a nice comfortable place to live and the people around you dont care and turn it into a ------.<br><br>

Great Place to Call Home

I found the staff to be very responsive and helpful. They really try to work with all residents. Maintenance is excellent. My work orders are usually complete the same day! Wish I could have stayed

A fellow occupant

I hate tht they took all of the dumpsters except one that is located at the entrance. I felt they should have send the notice in one of their newsletter that the place in my door every month. As far as maintenance, I had no problems getting things fix, and the noise level is at a low. The staff at the office needs to be more considerate of the military occupants that reside in their apartments. For instance rent is due by the 5th of every month, if a soldier does not come out of the field by the 6th, he or she would be charge $50. Overall, on a scale of 1 to 5, Brittwood deserves a 3.

I wouldn´t waste my money!!

The office staff doesn´t care. They´re just there for a check. The good maintenance staff they did have, they wouldn´t treat right and they got idiots in there that didn´t know ANYTHING!!! They took out all the dumpsters to save money and gave us one tiny trash compactor( that stayed broken)!! I wouldn´t waste my money on anything that has the THAYER name on it!!!!!!!!
