Overall a good place to live, especially in the area and for the price. Pros: staff are nice and take the time to remember who you are. Never had a maintenance complaint go past 24 hours, usually response is within a few hours if requested early in the day. New staff have really tried to come up with more events and the effort really shows. Cons: parking in front of some buildings is nearly impossible. Permits were supposed to help parking situation, but UN permitted vehicles persist. Noise level is moderate thanks to polite neighbors, but sound does carry very easily so it really depends on who you live near.

I love this place. The staff at Chelsea 88 exemplifies customer service. I had a tight time frame to get my move together and ran into a hiccup in my process. They truly bent over backwards to help make my move a success. The manager is awesome and really takes pride in the community. You don't find that too often anymore. I can't say enough. I highly recommend this property. The resident area is awesome, pools and tennis court very inviting, free workout courses, there is literally nothing to dislike. The complex is also in a great school zone. Hope you find a home here too.

Stopped by today to tour both this complex and their sister complex next door. Hands down the best customer service that I've ever received while searching for an apartment. I love the fact that I had an option to get a storage unit and/or a garage because I'm moving from a house. I went to a couple of the other complexes on the same street and had to wait to be spoken to but the staff here stood up and greeted me before I had the chance to utter a word--impressive, the manager even came out of her office to speak to me. The both of the properties are on my short list(top 5).

The model apartments look nice, but be sure to inspect the apartment in which you will live VERY carefully. Also, be aware that how they will treat you on the way out is HORRIBLE. I would not choose to live hear again.

I was apartment hunting. Stopped in to check them out. Nice apartments & very nice Leasing agent Macey.. But this was the most annoying leasing process I have ever gone thru & it was all due to the manager. She is black and just to add so am i .. she is rude, unprofessional, ratchet, and she made my whole application process a living hell. While doing my job verification she called & pissed off my boss asking thousands of questions & jus being unproffessional.. I just said forget it because the whole process she had me going thru for applicant approval was extremely to much.. my advice is go across to wesley herrington ask for the manager there is who handled my move.. she is very nice & has made moving a breeze.. Good luck

I wouldn't recommend living here at all. They have infestation of ants within several units I was told. I've hired my own pest control and also had maintenance come out and still we find ants in our bathroom, carpets, outlets, counter tops and etc. I even carried some to work because I saw a few walking on my desk a few times.

Most of the reviews here are too soon after residents have just moved in. We have lived at Astor Place for 18 months and so this review is based on our entire experience thus far. Pros: -Clean community; -Most neighbors are great; -Very close to I-85; -Lovely pool - we have grilled and enjoyed many hot summer weekends at the pool; -Apartments are a great size and open layout; and -Maintenance issues (that you schedule) are handled same day. Cons: - SERIOUS disregard for privacy and security I remember previous reviews in 2015 concerning the lack of privacy and security but no details. Now I actually know what they were referring to. I am to have a 5th visit by maintenance and crew members into my apartment for the month of November. None of these visits were scheduled by me. I acknowledge the need for some of these visits (fire alarm and sprinkler system maintenance etc). However, the Nest installation (received the notice less than 12 hrs and not 48hrs as promised) and Google Fiber installation, in my opinion, are not emergencies that warrant doing all at the same time during a very busy holiday month for everyone. The owners and community manager absolutely have no consideration for the privacy and security of the members of this community. These installations could have been better planned/organized either before the holiday period or after. Note: 5 visits by maintenance and crew members in 1 month! Complete disregard! There is the general assumption that we are all comfortable with having strangers in our apartments while we are out. If these installations were better organized and not done all at once, we can plan accordingly. I WANT TO EMPHASIZE TO THOSE READING - IF YOU ARE NOT HOME FOR ANY OF THESE VISITS THE MAINTENANCE CREW WILL STILL ENTER YOUR APARTMENT TO DO THEIR WORK. DURING ONE WEEK WE HAVE CHIMNEY MAINTENANCE ON EITHER MONDAY/TUESDAY AND THEN GOOGLE CREW COMING OVER FOR A 2 HR INSTALLATION THE TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY! Ridiculous!!!! With this frequency there is no way to plan to be home while crew members and technicians are in your apartment! Most neighbors acquiesce but are frustrated with this. - LACK of professionalism At our first visit in 2015 there were 2 reps. at the front desk. No one knew the name of the elementary school designated to this area. I called the next day and spoke to another rep. still no idea. This is just an example of the MANY experiences that reps. are not knowledgable about important matters or events. At our first visit to Merritt at Sugarloaf the leasing rep. provided all this information and then some! We went with Astor solely because of its close proximity to the I-85. Another example of the lack of professionalism: Most of our apartment is carpeted (all rooms except kitchen and bathroom). Makes sense ... to reduce noise. THE MAINTENANCE CREW OFTEN COMES FOR SCHEDULED AND NON SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE WITHOUT SHOE COVERS. The technician had to go back to the office to get shoe covers, none were in his cart. After waiting 15 mins and the technician did not return I called the front office.I had to actually have a conversation with the community manager about this. I told her of my experience with Charter Service (tel.and cable company). The Charter Service technician came to our front door and placed shoe covers on his boots. At that time I wasn't even aware of these covers. When he saw how surprised and grateful I was he told me it's company policy. Now that is professionalism! To solve this ongoing issue with Astor Place, I purchased my own shoe covers to offer to maintenance. -No playground and the nature trail is more of an over grown walking path that is not well maintained. Personally, while this community has some good incentives, WE DO VALUE OUR SENSE OF PRIVACY AND THAT GREAT FEELING OF SECURITY WHEN WE ARE CALLING ANYWHERE HOME EVEN IF IT IS TEMPORARY. I would not recommend Astor Place to friends and family.

My experience at Astor place has been a positive one and I would definitely recommend this complex. I exhausted myself looking at different apartment complexes in the area and chose this one over the others for a few reasons, and I have not regretted my choice. Out of all the complexes this seemed the most professional and my initial impression has proved true. The management team/staff are all great, and according to the online reviews, that's rare to find. There's always a really positive atmosphere in the leasing office and they are always eager to help. Jessica, Chrystie and Nicole have all been excellent. My emails are responded to almost immediately, even on holiday evenings! And when there was an issue with one of my payments going through, it was handled professionally and fairly. It is clear that the management team are always trying to improve and striving to exceed resident's expectations. There is a 24 hour maintenance hotline which always sends someone promptly. All the maintenance guys are really friendly and know what they're doing. The apartments themselves are modern with updates of granite counters, garden tubs, etc. I really felt much safer knowing that all residents are required to pass a criminal background check. This was the only apartment complex I came across that had this requirement. It was also the only gated community I saw that actually always keeps its gates closed. The inbuilt security system included at no extra cost has also added to the feeling of security here. The only reason I'm leaving is to move to a house so my daughters can have a garden to play in. If I was going to stay in an apartment I would stay in this one.

I'm a current resident in Chelsea 88 Apartments, from outside the apartment surroundings looks nice but inside is infected with roaches and insects.I keep my apartment clean and spotless, still every day i need to kill 3-4 roaches. I informed the apartment authorities to do a pest treatment but no use, even though we are paying pest control fee every month. They keep the gate always open (there is a monthly access fee) and few months back there was a incident where tires were stolen from lot of cars. I also see lot of random people roaming around the apartment especially near the back side of the apartment. Here most of the people neither leash their dogs nor cleanup its doodies. Please don't rent this place if you want to have a clean apartment and safe living. Not sure how they got high recommendation here, probably some kind of marketing technique to lure more customers.

I lived in Chelsea 88 apartments from July 2015 until 2016. The rent was reasonable price, however, if you are looking to rent a 3 bedroom apartment. Do not move in building 2100. The property manager, who is a lack for better terms, and VERY RUDE & IMPOLITE PERSON. She makes the tenants lives a complete nightmare. Not to mention she doesn't follow the community rules herself as members of her family allow there dog to "go" right outside the stairs. Several rsidents allow their dogs to roam unaccompanied and without a leash. It smells like pet waste when you are walking up to your apartment. The cabinets are old and outdated. The appliance they will patch them up instead of replacing. l I would not recommend Chelsea 88. The staff sub par addresses/inform you of any questions or concerns you may have. I lived in Astor Place prior to Chelsea 88 for over 2 years and love it! Please be informed when renting from this community.

Christie was very thorough and personable. The cons for me during the your were that the upstairs neighbors were loud (lots of bumps and running) and the high school zone is not the school I chose for my son. Beautiful, though!

Everybody knows that most decent people are seeking peace and quiet in their living community! If the management of this property really cared about its tenants there would be full disclosure BEFORE a lease is signed that some bottom level apartments have plank flooring above them and that noise level can be g-d awful, unbearable. Instead, full disclosure does NOT occur and some tenants, we, sign a year's lease and are then locked into an unpleasant living condition. Even their sister property Ten Oaks and the other 20 or more apartment complexes we've visited know this is STUPID! Yes, they will talk to the noisy tenant about trying to be quiet, BUT the real issue is the apartment management and the situation they created by installing plank flooring above another apartment. And they will NOT even consider releasing you from your lease, no matter how miserable your situation. Jacob Baker is a master spinner. He ACTS like he cares about you and your concerns. But really what he is very good at is minimizing angry tenant fall out. Through this entire process, we never once lost our cool even when we were exhausted from sleep deprivation due to the crazy noisy tenant above. Jacob even made the comment on two occasions that he wished all tenants were as reasonable as we. Then, after our lease was up and we at the leasing office to finish up business. Jacob was standing four feet away from us talking to the agents assisting us and he did NOT make eye contact with us or even acknowledge our existence. Is this how you treat tenants who had been suffering with serious noise concerns and who have always been reasonable?! How rude is Jacob Baker! Bottom line: If you enjoy peace and quiet and a sincere apartment manager, then this might not be the apartment for you!

I've lived here for a little over a month. The apartment complex is definitely kept very nice. the cabinets are awful, old and looks bad. The counters are also old and very cheap looking. I love my layout and lots of closet space and storage. I have a nice fire place also. My bathroom is outdated as well with chipped mirrors and outdated cabinets but it is spacious. Maintenance has quickly responded to all my requests. Whoever prepared the apartment before renting could put a little more attention to detail because some of the work is not as it should be like paint splatter or big indentations under the carpet when you walk like its missing something underneath. The community is ok. I unfortunately had to experience a person yelling and entire night outside because of some type of domestic dispute and the police were called twice so that was not a great first week experience. He was not a resident. People do let their dog run without a leash but I witnessed a leasing agent really addressing that with a tenant she saw that was breaking that law. Also pet owners just let their dog drop so I do not go near the grass at all. My neighbors are pretty quiet most of the time. The pool has been closed since I moved in but will open soon. My biggest complaint is the gates. They have only worked 2 days of my stay. The resident gate is always open which is disappointing to me because I moved here due to it being gated. Overall I like the complex and leasing agents and managers are nice but interior needs some upgrading and Gates need to be fixed. Apartments are affordable and clean. The gym is awesome and there is a nice community area. Laundry service is also available. It's not a bad place at all but just needs some minor tweaks but I would recommend it. The staff is awesome!

I recently relocated from Indiana to Georgia, and Jessica made the entire transition a breeze. She was very understanding and helpful with tips and information on relocating out of state. I also love the fact that maintenance responds very diligently to all request made, and they are very nice and tedious about the work they do. I have a small dog and really wish they could of had a dog park but with all other great amenities in the neighborhood I will let that slide. The on site gym is also a wonderful opportunity as well. The office staff is very helpful and always willing to ensure your safety and concerns are token care of. I love my apartment, its very spacious and updates with new appliances as well. I would recommend Astor Place to anyone looking to relocate to the new Georgia.
