Excellent staff! Stays aware of your needs when there are requests and proceeds w/action to do their best to accommodate you! Our leasing agent was amazing and if she wasn't there to answer any questions, there wasn't one staff member that could not help you! We lived there 8 months and Chelsea 88 never once dissatisfied us. All the way up to the very last day, they made sure our stay was pleasurable and went out of the way to make sure we were taken care of. Maintenance always on top of it! Did the job and did it with excellence. If something goes wrong on their end, they make it right. Always a friendly atmosphere. Please be patient with the front desk as they are taking care of others and answering phones and receiving faxes at the same time! I PROMISE, they are aware of your presence. I highly recommend Chelsea 88.

The apartment layout and design is very nice. Fixtures and cabinetry are pleasant. Our apartment (top floor) is quiet, and the grounds around it are well maintained. Pool, gym and tennis areas are nice, if limited. We like the apartment well enough to have been here for nearly two years, despite the rather powerless and apathetic management and the significant rent increases with a lack of justifying amenities or services. That is really the one downside. If you don't have to interact with management on any issue, and you don't mind them losing packages, entering your apartment without warning or notice that they've entered, then you shouldn't have an issue.

The apartment complex itself, as well as our individual room, is pretty nice. If this rating were based solely on aesthetics and cleanliness, I dare would give it a 5 star. The staff here, specifically the front office, give a vibe of indifference, with the exception that maintenance has been responsive and timely. If you like to go to the gym or be outside, be prepared to purchase noise cancelling headphones or else you will endure countless loud individuals (specifically unsupervised children.) The gate can get backed up and the residents usually aren't courteous enough to let you get by if you need to get in the neighboring gate. The grounds behind our building is loaded with cigarette buttes and the walls are seemingly infused with the stench.

I am satisfied with my experience here so far. Astor Place has lived up to its biling. The staff are courteous and professional. They are also very prompt in responding to requests. The get-together and get-to- (know your neighbors activities are very desirable.

I've been here for years and never wrote a review but I am getting annoyed with the water getting cut off almost every 6 months here for the past year and 1/2. We are always told at the last minute or receive a message hours after the water has been cut off. One time we went over 24 hours without water and on day TWO the leasing office gave us bottles of water. Our water was cut off at night leaving a lot of us waking up to no water. I was furious that I could not take a shower but I also thought about the people that may have babies and can't make milk in the morning. I don't understand why our water keeps getting turned off. I pay a lot in rent for this to happen. After this last time, I'm just ready for my lease to be over. If you move here make sure you keep LOTS of water in case of an emergency. The pros: The upkeep of the property. Love the granite countertops. The floor plan isn't basic. The new office staff is cool and the last lady that used to work the office by herself a lot was really cool(can't remember her name but I liked her a lot). When I first moved over here we had sh!ty people in the the office and if you read the reviews you will hear about them(men names). Being close to the hwy is cool. The pool area is nice. New management has a lot of new cool activities going on in the office. The cons: Water getting turned off too often. I can hear my neighbor clearly when I'm in my bathroom. I understand these are apartments but I don't want to hear her rolling her toilet paper while I'm rolling mines(never had this issue before), I can also hear her talking. They also need to upgrade the toilets, you have to flush twice most of the time. Like many of the other reviews have stated, they come in our apartments too often, it's an inconvenience for me. Not sure if this is a problem in every unit or just mines but I can hear water coming through pipes/ my pipes make a vibrating noise(I did read some other reviews with this complaint as well). It's annoying when you are trying to take a quiet bath. When I first moved here it kept me from sleeping then I got used to it, so it only annoys me when I'm trying to take a peaceful bath. I like these apartments but I'm starting to feel like the price I'm paying is not worth what I'm currently dealing with.

Nice place so far. Bonnie was great to work with leasing an apartment. Move in was stressful because of unexpected circumstances and she was very helpful and caring. I enjoy the gym and regular community event invites. Maintenance is great.

New staff is completely rude and unprofessional. I would not refer anyone to lease with them. If it wasn't for the old staff and other communities, I would have left Cortland Partners, which I had pride to others how awesome the service was. Now I regret it.

waste of time trying to get small issues resolved. they don't answer the phone often. they only call when you submit a bad review. the apartment itself is fine, just has some cracks in the wall, which i don't mind as long as i don't get charged for it. take pictures of all damages prior to moving in so you aren't faulted. bugs are rare.

Great service and a friendly staff. Thus place doesn't feel like an apartment complex. This place feels like home. I love the modern touches in all of the decorations. Daily door side trash pick up is nice. Nest thermostats save a ton on my electric bill. Overall a great place to live.

I recently came in and toured Astor Place Apartments with Macey Shonyo. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed your community! The staff was very nice, the apartments are renovated and the grounds are well kept. Macey was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Although I have other places I'm touring, Astor Place feels like home.

I really enjoy living at Chelsea 88. The management is caring, want to help, and they truly do want to see you enjoy your living situation. I appreciate how the office will accept your packages and will send a message immediately for pick-up. The extended office hours are convenient for most professions. Ultimately I do enjoy living here; however, I do feel that the rent is higher than what I might pay for an apartment of equal value.

My experience with Astor Place has been nothing but amazing. I honestly can't thank Everyone there enough for everything they do. From Macey in the front desk to the manager Christina. They are so helpful and always respond to any questions I have right away. As far as my apartment and my experience as a resident, its been a piece of cake. Moving in was simple, everything was clean and I even got a welcome kit! they help me set up everything and before I knew it I was settled in. Safety is very important for me and I feel very safe at home. Neighbors are always outside walking their dogs or going to the pool and gym and everyone is always so friendly. My apartment is very modern. Everyone that comes in loves it and always says how nice my floors are. There is always parking for friends and family when they visit. Recently they added the trash pick up service and washer and dryers. they pick up my trash daily now and it makes it so much easier for me since that's one less thing I have to worry about since I'm always pretty busy with work and errands . I have been living here for less than three months and there has been so many positive changes in such a small period of time. The staff is always so welcoming when I go in the office and everything is always impeccable. If I could, I would go in daily to say hi and for some Starbucks coffee. I would highly recommend Astor Place for everyone looking for an apartment.

Living here has had its pros and cons. Very nice staff and maintenance team. I was impressed at how often they take care of landscaping, cleaning, etc. I loved the trash service...being on the top made things a lot easier for me. Would recommend speed bumps more throughout community (especially around my building and nearby). I've almost been hit a few times because cars fly by at high speed. This isn't a little problem, but rather a bigger one in my opinion. Speed humps would help this a lot. I had a lot of fun living here this past year!

Pros and Cons to this place. Overall the community and the apartment are not that bad, but a little pricey. There are a bunch of cons though (like the con artists that run the place *bum dum tis*). They tried to charge me a $500 dollar, non-refundable fee that they did not disclose until after I had paid the application, then after I fought tooth and nail to get that removed I found that they had HIDDEN THAT SAME FEE IN MY PRORATED RENT SECTION OF THE PAYMENT! So they tried to charge me an extra $1,000 that I shouldn't have had to pay in the first place and they tried to hide it. That was infuriating. On top of that, I must have asked three times if everything was taken care of that needed to be and I continually was told yes and yet when I got there all of a sudden I still had vital things that I needed to take care of. Then, my brand new gate didn't work and since I had spent the whole day moving, it was after hours and no one could let me in. I then called the 24-hr maintenance number and their answer was I can put in a service request for you ... yes, I'll just wait here until the morning, I mean, come on. There were a few other smaller issues, but on the whole, I would not recommend moving here. Don't let the friendly staff lure you in, they don't know what they are doing or care about you.

I am pleased with the complex and amenities offered. I think the area is still growing as should the property to accommodate for the change of a growing community. I will say, in order to complete a new tailored look, the whole parking area should have been paved instead of small areas.
