There are roaches, huge ones, everywhere. Both inside and outside of these thin little walls. And I'm not the only resident, I've talked to others that see them everywhere as well. So much for "luxury" apartments and their free pest control. Lease is up in a few months! Yayy!

i would like to bring the issue of the pool monitor to your attention and suggest recommendations to improve the situation. The pool monitor is extremely unprofessional, as well as one who abuses her authority. She definitely picks her sides and who are favorites. Her attitude and way of handling altercations is probably the most unprofessional thing I have seen in my life.when trying to reach out to the management on about this pool monitor, I was told "you could not pay me enough to do her job and she has every right to throw out anyone for any reason. if she doesnt want you there she has that right to tell you to leave". hmm that sure sounds professional right?? didnt think so.. I work in retail and we definitely make sure that the PAYING CUSTOMERS are satisfied but apparently not at carrington green. if you dont have sny kind of authority here dont bother trying to complain they will do nothing but defend the person who does! Off topic of being at the pool, I have seen an altercation occur on her balcony, like two teenage kids doing inappropriate sexual things, seems to me like she has other things to worry about then making sure everyone else is miserable while living here. CANT WAIT FOR LEASE TO BE UP!

Extremely rude staff

I would never live here the staff is very rude not to mention the staff lets the trash around the pool pile up and it smells horrible. Couldn't even lay out. The pool lady obviously needs another job she smokes around the kids at the pool doesn't know how to talk to people. Makes me not even want to visit friends or family there. It's also obvious that the previous review was from a staff member very childish and I def will be calling their corp office!

It would appear some of us need a "grown up" lesson"

My review is in response to the review focused on the pool monitor. GROW UP! I was present during the conflict that was mentioned in this review. The host and guests of this birthday party conducted themselves at less that mature behavior. They acted inappropriately using vulgarity, and immature behavior in regard to the pool monitors actions. Let the readers of this know, Carrington Green issues pool keys every season. With the keys, they send out a list of Pool Rules. In these rules, every resident reads that they are only allowed two guests per resident on the lease. This is to insure there is room available at the pool and surrounding area for those that actually pay to live there. This party had ten to twelve guests combined with the hosting residents! So, since your so glad to be a "homeowner" perhaps you should stay at the property you supposedly own and not crowd our pool with unruly, trashy, and down right immature persons with your B.S. Carrington Green is an amazing community with amazing staff (including the pool monitor), who show nothing but respect and appreciation for the residents (residents meaning persons who pay to live on the property, not "home-owning" guests who just use our facilities and disrespect our staff." Applause to those who addressed the situation including the law enforcement who arrived to contain the situation and exclude those individuals who create an unfriendly family atmosphere. If you don't like living here. Scrape up the cash (if you can) to pay your lease termination and go live somewhere else! The fewer of you we have in our community, the better it will be. Rules are set in place for a reason and they are constructed to better the community. I don't care who you are, how much you make, or where you come from; you are NOT above those laws. Regardless if its your "one-year old's" pary or not. YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO LIVE HERE AND BEHAVE HOWEVER YOU SEE FIT! I'd recommend this property to anyone moving into the community. It truly is a wonderful place to call home. Those who disagree, you know where the gates are. And please don't leave your butt-cheek prints on them as you leave!

very rude pool monitor

I attended a 1 year old's birthday party . when the pool monitor came out and just started talking very rude to everyone , very unprofessional .and even called the police said we threatened her .and cursed her I would not attend another party there and I definitely wouldn't rent a apartment there we were told by the police officer if she don't want you there you must leave . remember now this is a 1 year old's birthday party some people have just too much authority. thank god I'm a home owner

Rent with Caution!

Please inspect the apartment carefully before you sign your lease. I did not do this and was lied to from the beginning regarding the apartment paint, carpet and bugs. I was told that my apartment had new carpet and paint- not true. My first walk thru of the apartment there were dead roaches. My apartment was not clean before I moved before I moved in. Check for bugs- what they will tell you are Water bugs! They are roaches! Big roaches!! I spray my apartment myself and continue to pick up dead ones. I will not be renewing my lease!

Managed by liars!

I've lived here for almost 1 year and in that year they have never sprayed for bugs, the crawl in under the door. The walls are paper thin and it costs a fortune to heat and cool our unit. When we first toured the property kelly told us that the entire place was under video surveillance, but the maintenance guys said there is only one camera that works. The subdivision behind us is very dangerous and the fence is down so they can enter as they please. The gate seldom works properly and when you call the "manager" haha, they are very rude and never help. When my lease is up I can't wait to get out Carrington Green is hell, DON'T EVER EVEN CONSIDER MOVING HERE unless living in fear is what you desire!!!!!!!!

Best Decision I Have Ever Made!

I must say I agree with the previous review. WHAT ARE ALL OF YOU TALKING ABOUT?! First of all, in apartment living, you must be friendly to co-existence. This is a family community! That means children. And I have NEVER encountered anyone that was less than friendly. Shannon is a model of customer service and she clearly has trained her staff well to mirror her own guideline. Kelly wrote and negotiated my lease. Given the fact that I was commuting 67 miles one way, she offered to move me in early and comp my first months rent as an incentive. When a financial crisis hit parallel to my first months rent; Kevin, with approval from Shannon, credited the late fee and worked with me 100% with empathy and compassion. Selecting this complex was the best decision I ever made. The facility is clean and well maintained. The living quarters are up to date, modern, and give a feeling of up scale luxury. The staff are caring, effective, and involved down to the smallest detail. And the cost is reasonable and affordable. Living in an apartment complex, guess what......THINGS HAPPEN. If your not happy about it, go buy a house! (if you can) Kids will be kids. Except it! Neighbors will be neighbors, DEAL WITH IT! The walls have NEVER unveiled ANYTHING of my neighbors privacy. Some ppl just need something to ----- about. When you don't pay your bills, there are consequences a.k.a eviction, late fees, notices, etc. Its part of life. So you had something come up. Me too. Pick your priorities. If that's not your rent THERE ARE PENALTIES! And don't act so shocked, ITS IN YOUR LEASE YOU SIGNED!!!!!!!!! Its not some plot to screw you. ITS BUSINESS! What happens when you don't pay your cell phone bill? THEY SHUT IT OFF! GROW UP! Carrington Green is home for me. And there has never been ANYTHING that would make me feel otherwise. And as far as I am concerned, it will stay that way! Please consider Carrington Green if your in the market for a new home. YOU will NOT regret it.

A cute little neighborhood!

Ok, so I keep reading all of these awful reviews and HONESTLY I don't get it. The layouts are great and the landscapers are there every other day it seems. Also I have never had a problem with maintenance. The guy came in to fix my sink and fixed my dryer too while he was there..just because he is a nice guy. Maybe it's because I'm not illiterate, and I speak to the leasing agents like they are human beings, or perhaps it's because I don't think that I'm living in a 5 star hotel in which maintenance is room service, but they are great. Yes, there are kids that play outside. Is that such a bad thing? Would you rather them be breaking into your car? Doubt it. This place is by far the nicest place in Mcdonough..which is not saying a whole lot I realize, but still it is a very nice place to live. If you want to see the ------, go drive by Bridgemill apartments off of 81 and buy some drugs from the leasing agents. This place is pretty phenomenal for $750 a month. Just saying.

Spacious

Carrington Green McDonough is very beautiful, spacious, and friendly apartment community I have lived here for a year. Have enjoyed the many great qualities of the apartment grounds and the amazing staff, who are willing to go out of their way to make sure its residents are happy. I have lived here for almost 7yrs

I have been a resident of carrington green for almost 7yrs, since it was first built. I am retired and am home majority of the time. I love my apartment home, I feel comfortable here and have no plans on leaving. The office staff make me feel like I am family. The office does events for the residents and make us feel special. One of the maintenance men came to my door on thanksgiving day with a home made plate of food for me, that meant so much. They go the extra mile for people. I would tell everyone to come live here if your looking for a "community" not a "complex".

RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!!!!

The complex looks pretty from the outside and the staff is friendly at first, but wait till you move in...... The walls are paper thin and not only was I able to hear the neighbor's radio at times, I was also apart of the tenant's above me and their intimate moments; from the bed squeaking to the woman moaning. The carpet is extremely inferior. I have a bagless vaccuum and had to empty it each time I vaccuumed as it would be filled with the lint. This is supposed to be a gated community, but I am still waiting for a full month when the gates would work properly. When I moved in, I was told maintenance would be respond the same day if the problem was reported before 12, or the next day, if reported after 12. Well be sure to ready to solve some problems yourself. I called at 10am on Friday to report a clogged toilet and the manager told me that someone would be there in 48-72 hours. I fixed the problem myself as I was not going to wait till Tuesday with a backed up toilet. Later that evening, the one maintenace guy, who seems to be the only one that works, came to the unit. The manager told me that the 48-72hrs response time was always the policy plus they were short-staffed. Well being short staffed is not really my concern as I can't tell you that I'm short on my rent. I moved in June 2010 and by December, I had met 3 different managers. They change managers faster than they change the a/c filters, which only happened once in the entire year. Upon moving out, I was being charged for things that I had cleaned and another tenant who moved out the same time as me, admitted that her carpet was in worse condition than mine, but she was not charged anything, yet, they charged me $90 for the carpets which they later reduced to $50. So when you move out, hope you get the right person as they are very inconsistent and you may be told by the short blond lady whose name begins with T, that your cleaning standards may not meet theirs.......now who does she really think she is. I have been told by many others that she was very rude and now I can totally agree with them. Rent here at your own risk, they smile and are very courteous before you move in, then their true colors come out once you've signed the lease.

Great Experience

I have lived at Carrington Green for two years know. I have had a great experience with the staff, mainteniance the grounds are kept up and the dumpster does not over flow. Never had a bug problem and I am not bothered by noise. Their pool is monitored you dont have to worry about an over flow from the different communities in the area. I would recommend this property. THE SCHOOLS ARE GREAT!!!!!!!

All I can say is H*** NO!

THANK GOD my lease is up soon and I am out of here. I can't tell you how much BS I have had to deal with living here. This has been the WORST apartment I have ever lived in. Ok where to start... Recently I have been threatened by teenagers that OWN this apartment. When I have called the office TAMMY has said to me "YOU LIVE IN AN APARTMENT, GET OVER IT." and "NO WE AREN'T GOING TO HELP YOU". When I have spoken to the apartment manager she called me one day when I called to report a problem and cuts me off in mid sentence to say "I AM NOT AT WORK RIGHT NOW SO I CAN'T HELP YOU".... so why in the h*** did you even bother calling me back. Idiot! She also tells me that the kids are allowed to say and do whatever they want during the day time. He GENIUS it is against the law to cuss and threaten people but since you care more about the future gang bangers that is cool... you will lose business real quick! Let's see.. the gate is still broke every other day because theses stupid people are too lazy to call whoever they are wanting to go see and instead they just RAM the gate. People are swimming in the pool and the thing hasn't been cleaned in a year. (DISGUSTING) I have had to call the police on the people above me about 10 times since I have lived here and the couple has even threatened my family, tried to run me down in their car and had the nerve to cuss and scream at me about it. When I called the office to tell someone about it again I got from Tammy "YOU LIVE IN AN APARTMENT, GET OVER IT AND WE AREN'T GOING TO HELP YOU".... thanks A-holes... if I get killed this gives my family the right to sue you correct??? Anyway, this place is horrible as far as management goes. They don't have a clue of managing anything. Only good thing I can say about this place is that the landscape is nice... not that it really matters because all those thug kids I just spoke of let their dogs crap everywhere and don't pick it up and they just throw trash everywhere.

Awful...

I have lived here for 6 months. I can honestly say since I have moved in I have not had ONE good night of sleep OR one day of peace and quiet. When I am home all I hear are people screaming and yelling outside. I can hear it over my tv because these apartments are so cheaply built that there is NO insulation whatsoever! I can hear my neighbors baby crying/screaming in the middle of the night... and it takes them 45 minutes to even get in there to get the baby to comfort him. Real nice parents they are. And, let me just mention the house guests I have! ROACHES, yes roaches... they are infested in these apartments and NO ONE will do anything about it. They spray the apartment itself but they come back like 2 days later. You can see them crawling up in the siding outside. This place is just a trash hole. And, not to mention the people who live here. They are disrespectful & don't care a thing about their neighbors. Let's see... the gate is broken every other week. People have tried to break into my car twice. Thanks for the scratches whoever did that. The office people are like any other place... they don't want to help you they would just rather you GO AWAY. I cannot wait to move from here. McDonough is going down hill anyway... it is the new Clayton County... ------! I should also mention that there were gun shots in the middle of the night here also... the office informed no one of the incident either. Move here on your own accord but in my opinion it is THE WORST apartment in Henry County.

It is HELL

Don't move here unless you never want any peace and quiet. I get home from work and have to hear kids screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs while all the management does about it is say that.... we don't want the kids to have no options. Really? They play in the MIDDLE of the street and DO NOT move for cars. I have even called the police, YES the police on them because they were so LOUD I could hear them over my tv with the windows closed. The reviews are right about this being the ------.... DON'T move here!!! I am adding a picture of what I see and deal with from my apartment EVERY night.

Love it!

I am not sure why these other reviews are on here. This is by far the nicest apartment complex in Mcdonough, and I have lived in a few. There are NO bugs in my apt. EVER. Maintenence comes out as soon as I call and the office staff is great. It is definately not the ------ since I have not heard of any breakins in the whole year I have lived here. They keep up the landscaping, the inside of my apartment is very nice. My neighbors are very friendly although the ones above me are a little loud. I could not be happier with Carrington Green.

Should be called Carrintgon ------

They claim to be 'luxury apartments', but it's far from that. Watch the kids get off the school bus and you'll see. Office staff could give a rip about noisy residents. Road ways throughout the complex are a race track, as broken speed bumps are not replaced. Never had a roach problem until now with new residents moving in, unless it's from the ones that moved out. Landscaping is nice and well kept. Maintenance calls have been few, but always addressed literally before the phone was cold. Outside lighting is good, parking is very plentiful but cannot say secure as they have failed to completely fence off walk in access, and when the gates are broken it takes 3-5 days to get them repaired.

CARRINGTON TRAILER PARK/HOOD

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT MOVE HERE! If you a professional with high expectations and would like to come home to a quiet, clean, bug-free place this apartment complex is not for you! There is trashy, low-life people who obviously don't care about the bug infestation, the unclean apartment upon move-in, nor the unruly kids running all over the place. They need to take LUXURY off of the sign. I have lived in luxury apartments and this one IS definitely NOT! The gate is constantly broken, the breezeways are NASTY, the leasing office agents are RUDE! You will have additional roommates which are large, what they call, WATERBUGS!(which I think are big roaches) THEY ALSO HAVE HIDEOUS ceiling fans! I absolutely HATE it to the point where I want to break my lease! I have lived at the Villa Sonoma and St. Andrews at Perimeter very nice, clean, immaculate apartments. THIS IS DEFINITELY A DOWNGRADE! I feel like I've gone from Beverly Hills to the hood/trailer park! AWFUL! AWFUL!

The apartment itself is great... BUT..............

I have lived here for 2 months. I love love love the actual apartment... BUT, all these kids playing in the street and screaming profanities is GETTING OLD. I have a 12 month old daughter and CANNOT get her to sleep at her normal time because there are kids screaming so loud out in front of our building and running up and down the stairs in the breeze way that it is impossible to concentrate on anything much less get a toddler to sleep. And while all these kids are playing in the streets there isn't ONE adult out there. They don't move for the cars and if you tell them to be quiet which I have repeatedly they give you attitude. It is ridiculous and I am SHOCKED that the management has DONE NOTHING after I have heard and even read on here the comments about this very issue. Also, yes the front gate is broken at least 1-2 times a week but they are pretty quick about repairing it. Other than the obnoxious noise from the kids and people having domestic issues it is a nice apartment. Hopefully something will be done about the noise issues soon!

Carrington Hood

Carrington Hood is what this place should really be called. The front Gate is constantly open to the public so what is the point of having to pay for a gate key when you move in here?! People let their kids run wild around here, including the thuggish teenagers that just break into people's cars and steal stuff. It's going to be a matter of time before these animal kids get hit by a car, they are allowed to just run wild through the parking lot, and ride everywhere on their skooters without any supervision. Domestic Violence is a regular occurrence here as well. If corporate really wants to save this place they will really need to get their ---- together. I can see this apartment complex becoming one of Henry counties run down ------'s within the next year if they don't do things different around here.

Yup, exactly what the title states, I left a review about it before, but it's suddenly missing now, hmmmm, what don't they want you to know?? This is just evidence of what kinds of crap they are allowing to live in here.
