Don't move in here!

It has been my experience that complaints concerning the cleanliness and upkeep of the property go unanswered. I have spoken to the on-site manager, the regional manager, and even wrote a letter to the president of the comapny and included pictures. The on-site manager offered excuses for his lack of action, the regional manager said she would call me back but never did, and the president of the company chose to simply ignore my letter all together. My simple request---clean up the cigarette butts, dead bugs, spider webs, and general trash in the breezeway in my building on a consistent basis. That is obviously too much for them to handle.

Carrington Green

The positive comments are that they are well maintained and are worth the price. The negative is, the sales representive Kelly will tell you what she thinks you want to hear. Don't believe a word she say's !! Once you are in the apartment you will find that she lied to you. Justin the apartment manager is a spineless man, he hides behind her. Very rarely will you get to talk to him. When they tell you about the referral fee it will take forever for you to get the money, if she ever turns it in to corporate. I have to give the corporate office kudos, they will make sure to follow through with concerns. It seems over the last few months the new residents moving in are of lower standards.

I like it....!!

I am a current resident and have been here going on three years. i have never had any bad issues or run ins with managment. I have always been treated properly and maintenance has always did as they should. I feel they are more than reasonable in all dealings with them. There are a few things you have to realize though. You are living in an apartment complex. You are expected to pay your rent on time. You are gonna have the aggravating noise from the upstairs neighbor no matter what apartment complex you move in to. I had a issue with a upstairs neighbor at one time and managment put a stop to it immediatly. I just upgraded to a larger apartment and the office and maintenace bent over backwards to take care of us. to the maintenace and managment i know that me and my family more than appreciate all that you have done for us...

Great Place to Live!

I have lived here for over a year now. I jsut renewed my lease and I love it here. A couple of months ago I was mad at the office because I received a letter on my door for dog poop. They charged me for not picking up after my dog. I was mad but when I talked to the office staff, I understand why they have to charge people for this stuff. I actually had not picked up my dog's poop so I was guilty of that. I was just mad but then I understand that Management just wants people to care about the grass and the place. I think that is a great thing. That is why I renewed my lease. The office people are really nice and helpful. When I went to the office about that letter, they were so nice and explained the reason to me. I think that this is the best apartments in the area just becasue of the office and maintenace guys. I went to another place when I was thinking if I wanted to renew or not. I went to that new place Trees of something and the staff was so rude. I waited for over ten minutes for them to even look my way. Carrington Green is great.

It's Nice and Quiet Here

I moved in six months ago and have really enjoyed it here. I referred somone and got $300.00!!! The office staff is always nice to me. The entire staff knows you by name! The place is always clean. I have only had two maint. issues and they were fixed immediately. I hate that people get on here and bad mouth it. If you look at the other apts on here, it looks like everyone just likes to complain. I totally recommend this place and plan on renewing my lease when it is up next year.

I love it here!

I have lived here at Carrington Green here since September 2005. This will be my 5th time to renew my lease. I usually sign 6 mth renewals but this time I will be doing a year. I moved from a large house and just love my three bedroom. I am shocked to read all the negative comments. The property is always kept beautiful and yes there are times that the gate breaks but is repaired in a timely manner. I cannot name one community that the gate doesn't break! I feel extremely safe here and just love it. The maintenance always takes great care of me and has even carried in my groceries for me! I just adore the office staff. I am sad to hear someone say anything but good things about the staff. The manager Melissa is the most kind hearted person I know. I have three boys and have always wanted a daughter and consider her to be one. Their are so many residents in here that have been here as long as me if not longer and just adore Melissa. I have become friends with several people that live here and one of them go into a car accident and was unable to cook and Melissa, Selena and Bryan cooked them dinner and took it to them. I have been to other places and the office staff does not even recognize you as a person but here every staff member here taked time out to ask how your day was or how your grandchildren are. They even remember their names! I just love it here and recommend it to anyone.

Previous Reviews are Bogus!!!!!!! Please READ!!!

I have lived in apartments for over 7 years. I have to move a lot due to my job. I moved here a year ago and love it. I will be renewing my lease if my job lets me stay in GA. I have lived in some serious dumps before!!!! This place is by far the best in McDonough. The new management company has done some upgrades to the property and it looks good. Unfortnately, the kids are unruly and the parents think that management is supposed to babysit them. The place is always clean and well kept. The staff is the best that has ever been here. They all go out of their way to help the residents.I dont like the new water billing company but you cant win them all.

Poor Management, Nicely Priced

I want to begin this review by stating that there are some positive features in this community to make a transition tolerable. Tolerable is about the best I can say. First, if you are looking for value and square footage, then you may be happy to know that these floor plans will deliver. The alarm systems seem to work well and fire alarms are well placed inside and outside of each unit. This is a gated community but the gates do not offer any level of confidence in security as they are in a fail safe position most of the time. (open) Do not expect any of the amenities to be working and/or available and you will never be disappointed. Management is operated in a sub juvenile fashion. Keep involvement with management on an emergency only basis. Unfortunate for me, I walked in on the property manager and a leasing agent discussing inappropriate information about a resident. It was disappointing for me on two points; 1)the lack of professionalism and deformation of the resident's character; 2)the irresponsible language that was spoken in an open and very public area of the leasing office. As stated in other reviews the maintenance team operates on a very unprofessional level. Vulgar language and lack of industry standard in maintenance is evident and obvious to laymen. About the only standard that the maintenance team upholds is the conformity of the uniforms. In conclusion, if you plan to move here, plan ahead as to where your next step will be after your lease term has expired. I am currently putting together evidence and a full report for delivery to the owner(s) of the property. This community has vast potential if the right experienced, consumer oriented and professional property management group could be established. Until then, for my dollar, I'll be taking my business else where. On a second note, if you are a current resident and are having an uncomfortable experience with the property manager, I encourage you to speak up as the property owners would appreciate the positive or negative feedback. Remember that the property manager is just that, property manager. Property managers such as the current one tend to over step their authority and lose grasp of their true responsibility.

I feel at home!!!!

I moved in 7 months ago, I feel at home and love spending time in my home!The layout and space is awesome and allows for awesome privacy! I have had two HORRIBLE experiances before and I definately have relized when to take advantage of a good thing! I would like to say I can't comment on the pool issues because I work way too much to have gotten to enjoy it this year! I will say I live in the back and I work both day and night shifts! I do have an issue with the children running wild in the complex but it is not managements responsibility to be parents for the children! The parents need to watch their children. In the same respect that shows how safe it is that people are not scared to let their kids out! I love the pet policy it is nice to see people walking their gorgeous pets and getting to live in a community tat allows that!If I had to gripe it would be about living down stairs I can hear the kids above me running but I have a dog that barks so Im sure Im not perfect either! I also can hear the water go through the pipes when the toilet flushes or shower is running. but its not loud enough to disturb me!!! If that is the worst of my issues I am living a very cofortable life! And to those people whining about the gates yeah they might break but those people letting your friends bolt in behind residents or being impatient is causing the same problem!!!! Most of the things people are complaining about we should be blaming the tenants rather than management!!! We are adults and we need to take responsibility for ourselves... we also need to realize that people that live in apartments are usually: young, irresponsible, or going through a transitional period in life. You cant excpect them to be perfect!!! Now I will say this that whoever built this place did a really poor jb on planning the parking!!! There is not enough and people are rude and park where they shouldn't. ie: behind others garages blocking them in.

ON THE WAY TO BEING A DUMP!!!

THE MANAGEMENT HERE SUCKS!! THEY DON'T TAKE COMPLAINTS SERIOUSLY AND NOTHING EVER GETS DONE ABOUT THEM. THE BREEZEWAYS ARE ALWAYS LITTERED WITH TRASH AND CIGARETTE BUTTS. THE NOISE FROM OTHER RESIDENTS IS REDICULOUS, THEY TELL YOU WHEN YOU MOVE IN THAT THEY DON'T ALLOW NOISE OR PARTIES YEAH RIGHT!! THE MAINTENANCE STAFF IS SO UNTRUSWORTHY. THEY SMOKE WEED AND NUMEROUS RESIDENTS SMOKE WEED HERE, IT'S BAD WHEN YOUR STAFF IS SMOKING WEED ON THE CLOCK WITH OTHER RESIDENTS AND YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO TRUST THEM TO HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR APARTMENT WHENEVER THEY WANT!!! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!! IT'S LIKE THE MANAGEMENT STOPPED CARING AND JUST STARTED TO LET ANYONE THAT WOULD PAY RENT TO MOVE IN....IT'S NOTHING BUT TRASH COMING IN NOW BECAUSE THEY ARE TRYING TO FILL UP THE EMPTY APARTMENTS. I HOPE IT GETS BETTER BUT I DOUBT IT, THEY ARE JUST MONEY HUNGRY.

The worst of the worst.....Dont rent !!!

Soon after moving in, and being duped by the wonderful staff and management, we soon learned that its all a show. They only care about maintaining a high rental % to keep management employed. After being told numerous lies about the pool and family amenities, we soon realized, that if we did not get something in writing, and even then, that Mgmt had the right to change things...well it just did not apply. Constant noise, power drinking booze hounds at the pool, maintenance entering your apt and things coming up missing, as well as the gate being constantly broken,mgmt, just does not care....No way no how..I will tell everyone to stay as far away as possible....

My first time at the pool ... UGH!

Oh my gosh! I have just recently moved in and I haven't had any problems so far until yesterday! Me and my cousin went to the pool to lay out and have a nice afternoon! Our agent told us the pool rules and all that wonderful stuff and that there was a pool monitor! I didn't think anything about it till we got there! From the minute we walked in the pool "monitor" was keeping her eye on us the whole time! I felt way uncomfortable and not welcomed at all! To make things worse she rudely came up to us and asked if we were residents! I answered with respect and a smile and said yes ma'am! She didn't break a smile and was not polite the entire conversation! Then she asked what apartment I lived in! Um excuse me that is none of her business! But being nice and sweet as I am I told her! Then she was I like "I have never seen you here before, did you just move in?" And I said yes still being nice the whole time! She never introduced herself or anything! Then just left! It made me so mad! Does she work for them or something because that is just WRONG! She could have shown a little respect and been polite and nice about it! Also, while we were there, she made two guys leave with their kids! That was uncalled for! They were keeping to their selves and the kids were playing and having a good time not being noisy or anything! They got a little mad and said rudely "thanks for the hospitality" and i got to thinking you know, they are right! I am thinking about putting in a comment or what ever to the office! That was horrible! And being watched the whole time like a little kid! I don't think so! It put a horrible taste in my mouth! I could so be the new pool monitor! I am also and EMT! Wouldn't that make you feel better just knowing if something did happen I could help! Has anyone else had any problems at the pool? Thank you for listening and reading!

Will not renew

I have been living in Carrington green for several months now and I read the other reviews along with the response from management. I am saddened that the management has chosen not to own up to it's imperfections all properties have them. Yes the gates are broken a lot and left up more than I would like, yes there is noise in front of your homes at night(but the management has said to try to determine where it may be coming from) I have never been able to use the carwash it has not been usuable since I have been here and I have inquired. The apartments are well built but I have a problem with the bathroom sinks and tubs too often. The children are out unsupervised and in the driveways most of the time ( but the managemet does try to curtail this)The only problem that has made the determining factor for me to relocate is the noise from the garages which are directly under your bedrooms and if you are the fortunate one that sleeps in the master bed you have the pleasure of two garages underneath and beside you so if you do not get up before 4:00 am you will now.the garages are like mini earthquakes. I will have to move mostly due to this greivance. Yes management is aware of this problem. I have spoken with three different agents and asst management.

WILL NOT RENEW LEASE

I will not be renewing my lease, When we firsted moved in we had to sign our lease 3 flippin times because the office screwed it up and still have not received a copy of it. They don't tell you when there coming in your apt. and they are suppose to leave a note on the counter letting you know that they have been there and they DON'T. The gate is always broken and takes over a week to fix. I have called the office about noise and they did nothing about it. Would never recommand this place to anybody.

Just Awesome

I love it here! I moved in 3 mths ago and love it!!! I transferred from another Davis Develpoment property to Carrington Green. You always feel at home on a Davis Property. The staff is wonderful and always treat you like a friend that they have known for years. I highly recommend this place. The maint. issues are always done within a day. The maint. staff is awesome too. I will be referring this place to everyone!

I will not be renewing my lease at this place!!!

I must say that I was not very happy when I first moved in. I was told several things that were not true about the layout of my apartment. I felt that they just wanted to get me into a more expensive apartment. After living there for about three months, very trashy people began to move in around me. There were outside parties every weekend in front of their buildings that lasted all night long. People were getting drunk and passing out at the pool. Children were constantly playing in the road without adult supervision. Children also would knock on your door and run away.. I was very unhappy with my stay at Carrington Green.

I love it here!! Its so wonderful, u feel like ur on a vacation as soon as you come thru the gates, staff and management r very friendly and go the extra lenghts for thier residents! The only apt complex i would EVER recommend.!

Staff will say anything

I've lived in better places, and I've lived in worse. The staff will tell you anything to get you to move in. They tell you they don't tolerate loud noice, but when you complain, it is ignored. They offer no incentive to stay here when your lease is up, yet wonder why there is a high turn-over. The hallways are dirty and littered with cigarette butts. The gates are always broken. Evey month or so, the staff has nothing to do, so they decide to do a property inspection to nose around your apartment. I'm getting tired of having to lock up my animals. The addition of speed bumps were nice, however, it did not slow most people down, and someone is going to get run over.

Great Place!

I just renewed my lease for the third time! I love it here. My apartment is the perfect size and I have 2 garden tubs! The staff is always friendly and the maintenance always gets done. They even walked my dog!! I love it here and highly recommend it!!!

Best place in Henry Co.

I have lived in this complex for almost 2 years. It is by far the cleanest and most well maintained complex in Henry County. The pool area is always kept clean and they go to great measures to ensure that there aren't any after hours parties taking place in the pool. The office staff is very friendly, so friendly that my children stop in every day after their bus drops them off just to say "hi". I've never had any kind of maintenance issue so I can't speak for that. The fitness center is always kept cleaned and the equipment is maintained..and there's even bottled water! Much nicer than the other complexes around. As for the other comments regarding the police not even wanting to live there..it's untrue! My husband is a cop and there are at least 2 other Henry Co. cops living there. Not to mention a Jonesboro cop and relatives of cops that we know!!! Overall it's a great, clean, kid friendly complex.

Pros:<br>Nice size apartment.<br>Nice landscaping.<br>Cable included in rent.<br>Garden tubs.<br>========================<br>Cons:<br>Appliances were of poor quality.<br>Pool was to small for an apartment complex that size and only one pool.<br>Workout center was to small for an apartment complex that size.<br>Motorcycles (which are not allowed) in the complex are loud and obnoxious.<br>========================<br>Overall, not a bad place to live, but there are better places in the Henry County area. In the time my wife and I lived there, we had to call the police once b/c of violence next door. The police also came two other time for fights in the complex. Rent is a little high. When we left, they seemed to be letting just anyone rent with them. If we were to ever go back to apartment living, we'd probably go with Preston Creek. Management was good. We never had any problems.

Just Love It Here!

I am totally in shock over these reviews. I have lived here for 1 year and just renewed my lease for another year. Every maintenance issue that I call in has been taken care of instantly. The staff is FANTASTIC!!!! They help you with everything. I even got $200.00 when one of my friends moved here! I wouldn't let her move anywhere else. If you want a safe and beautiful apartment community, this is it. Not to mention, there are some hot guys here!!! A

The physical property is nice, but the tenants and staff are trash. The office is of no help and only wants your money for no service in return. They allow numerous pit bulls on the property, even though this is not allowed, and maintenance takes forever to due anything. We caugth maintenance snooping in our apartment and they entered without knocking while I was there. I thought they were an intruder and almost had to defend myself.This PLACE SUCKS.

Great Place!

I moved to Carrington Green about six months ago and I love it. You could n't ask for a better place to live. I wanted a ceiling fan hung and it took maintenance no time to hang it, they came that day! My last apartments wouldn't even help tenants hang fans! The staff really cares about people. They always help me when I need it. A I will renew my lease for another year when it comes up. They have the biggest pool around!!!!!!!!!!!!
