My husband and I really enjoy living here. We had never lived in an apartment until Colonial Grand and thought we would only be here for a few months. We will have lived here 2 years in July. Keep up the good work.

Colonial Grand is a great place of Residence. The only dislike that I have is the parking and no playground if you have small children. Other than that EXCELLENT!

Most not all of the management...
Most not all of the management staff have been rude to me. I usually request to speak with one and only one whose nice. Everything in the apartment is really cheaply made. Not painting after every tentant is nasty. They don't spray every apartment every month so you could live here for years and never have your apartment sprayed for bugs. Which to me is very unsanitary and doesn't help keep spiders and roaches out of other peoples apartments. I feel like they invest more money and more time making the office and pool area nice and kept up instead of focusing on doing their best to keep up the actual units.

There are a few good...
There are a few good things about this place, but I'm sure the leasing agents will tell you all about those, so I'll focus on what's NOT GOOD about this place so you can at least hear the stuff they won't tell you. VALUE: There's nothing "GRAND" about it except how much you'll end up paying just to live here. No matter how much or little water we used it was always $50, and we paid over $1200 a month for a 3 bedroom the first year and the 2nd year they wanted over $1300. Just so you know, you can rent a single family house for less than that and still have the same amenities. GROUNDS: People are allowed to let their dogs ---- all over and no one picks it up. I wish I could attach the picture I took of the "poo" next to the doggie station where you get the "poo" bags! Ridiculous! The children's playground floods so you can't use it at times. The pool (when it's open) is nice but there's no control over who uses it. Even people who don't live there. The community grill is filthy and there are spiders everywhere! (Don't swim if the filter is off... that's all I'll say about that!) PARKING: Parking is horrible because there is never enough and people are allowed to keep broken down cars in spots without being made to move. There's no assigned parking so on some nights you may have to park very far away from your apartment. People are moving in and out all the time, so be prepared to see a lot of moving trucks that take up several spaces. QUIET: I lived on the first floor and every time someone flushed it sounds like thunder rolling through the apartment. You can hear footsteps and noises through the walls just from people walking by outside or in the apartments upstairs. Some tenants play loud music after 10 which they aren't supposed to do, but no one responds from the after hours emergency number so you're pretty much on your own. SAFETY: I had a 3 bedroom and the way the door is setup, there is no light to see what you are doing so you fumble around just trying to open the door. The security gate is ridiculous because when it breaks it takes months to fix and even when it's fixed anyone can follow you in or just wait for a resident to open it and then follow them in. Once I had to open it for an ambulance because they didn't have a code to get in. I sure hope whoever they were there to check on wasn't having a real emergency! SOCIAL SCENE: Everyone basically keeps to themselves and are nice enough but there are little to no community events. The community WIFI hasn't worked for the year I lived there and the gym equipment was usually broken. STAFF: No matter how nice they may seem, just remember there are not your friends and they are not there for you. They will manipulate the truth to rent a unit or to get you out of the office. It's not that they are bad people, I'm sure they are lovely in their private lives. Just remember to review your lease carefully and make sure you write down EVERY SINGLE THING that is wrong with your apartment before you accept it. MAINTENANCE: They use a staffing company to fill these positions which have a high turnover. You want to be sure you are there to see work done in your apartment when possible and be sure to use the online system if it's not done correctly. By the way, everything is based online so you should be comfortable with making a service request or paying your rent online. LOCATION: The ONLY good thing about this place!

Good clean apartments, no working TV in the gym. This community is extremely quiet. No playground for kids, but there is an awesome pool they can enjoy. Friendly staff and the grounds are very clean.

I moved in with trepidation...
I moved in with trepidation as I have not lived in an apt for over 30 years. I am very pleased with most everything here, the staff (especially Staci!) is excellent and has helped me with every question/issue I have had immediately. The maintenance crew received my list of issues with the apt upon moving in (none of them were huge) and they came and fixed every one to my satisfaction quickly. The neighbors are all respectful of each other, everyone is very nice, the grounds are kept up, all is very good. I would recommend this apt complex to anyone.

Colonial Properties is...
Colonial Properties is terrible company to lease an apartment from. They are very invasive, always coming into your apartment. Most of the staff ( especially Maintenance ) is extremely rude. They don't take care of the grounds very well, trash laying all over the place, dog poop everywhere, absolutely disgusting. I'm pretty sure you can find a cleaner area in a trailer park.

Staff was friendly and...
Staff was friendly and so was maintenance dept. When needed maintenance they were there quick. Hallways were never cob web free and clean like the one's that were the show apartments and $50.00 (for not picking up after your dog) fine was never enforced. Assigned parking would be nice since I drive an F150 King Ranch truck and could never find one of the few wide spaces if I can in after 8 or 9:00pm. I paid a little more to live there because it was a gated community and because I had a stalker ex husband but when the gate broke it took forever to fix it and it also allows as many cars through once opened that could follow.

Good location for shopping, food, etc. Grounds look ok; some outside lighting is broken and needs replacing. Residents don't clean up after their dogs. Trash sometimes gets out of control; some of which is residents fault. Overall, I give it 4 stars.

I am more than disgusted...
I am more than disgusted at the way the office has handled our neighbor in 1513. Last winter he took a baseball bat to the fire alarm system in the hallway, because it was beeping a lot and he didn't like it. That alone should be a Federal offense, but nothing was done about it. He appears to be drunk every time we see him, and the office sent maintenance around to inspect our smoke alarms, and after seeing the apartment, they called the office girl. She requested a coverall suit, mask, gloves and booties to cover her shoes just to enter the apartment, it was so bad. This weekend, he spit a great big ball of stuff onto my front door. My daughter confronted him about it, and when she came in to get some cleaning supplies to clean it, he wiped it off. I have complained numerous times about this man, and the office does NOTHING!!! I had my 2000 Caravan stolen from the parking lot about a year after we moved in, and since we got a new van, someone has tried to break into it. Whenever you call the office, you usually get the answering machine, and when you leave a message, you almost never get a response. When I called about the last incident with the spit on my door, the girl said she hadn't gotten the message. I'm about ready to call the corporate office and see what can be done about this nasty neighbor. I hope at least someone in corporate reads this, and takes some kind of action!!

I'll begin by saying...
I'll begin by saying that the day we moved in the apartment had not even been cleaned. AT ALL-filthy! After bringing that to the attention of the staff they then said go get a bite to eat and it'll be clean when you get back after driving 4 hours with my family and all my belongings....came back still not clean. We lived here a year and the entire time the staff was continually rude and lied to us all the time from everything ranging from rent inflation to pest control. The charges on the water bill included trash service which went up every month and the trash compactor was always overflowing with trash sometimes even on the side of the road....i've seen section 8 housing that controlled the trash better than this. It was embarrassing paying 1000.00 a month and coming home to a disgusting complex. Next i'll address the pest control. I asked for a month for the pest man to come spray our apartment bc the nasty, pot smoking neighbors below us had roaches that migrated to our apartment. I stayed home from work on the day they were to come. No one showed....all day....horrible place to deal with. Pool was green this summer. They never tried to fix it....at the green pool we discussed our move in issues with other tenants and 3 other people said they had the same experience. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. It may seem nice bc of the lake and all that, but for the price I should have had a much better living situation.

We enjoyed our stay in...
We enjoyed our stay in Colonial Grand at Godley Station. I think a good apartment community starts from a good management. The Colonial Grand management and staff are professional, very friendly and nice. Maintenance was provided promptly. Very quiet and family oriented community. Great location. There is a beautiful pool area and we loved the lake. We enjoyed the walking around the lake. My son loved to feed the turtles and fish in the lake. The lake is OK to go on a boat or just fishing. The Barbeque grills were always ready to use. In overall we really enjoyed our stay in Colonial Grand.

The walkways and staircases...
The walkways and staircases are not cleaned and are very dirty. The office is constantly notified and i am constantly given a different reason as to why it is not cleaned. The apartment itself is nice and comfortable but the everything else is dirty and i am very unhappy with that.

I have lived here for...
I have lived here for over a year now, and I love my apartment. The only 'regret' that I have is that I didn't move into a two bedroom apartment when it was available to me before I decided to sign my lease for a one bedroom unit. I transferred to this community from the Colonial Village on Abercorn because I was not happy with their staff, maintenance, or timeliness in addressing issues I was having there. Personally, I have never had any problems regarding the staff or maintenance of Colonial Grand at Godley Station. Andrea Bergin was the first person I spoke with when I came to this apartment community, and she was actually one of the deciding factors for me to move to Pooler over Colonial Grand at the Hammocks on the islands. The Hammocks would have been closer for me since I commute to Savannah for school; But Andrea was very courteous to me and gave me all the information I needed. She's always very helpful whenever I have any questions. Even today she knows my name and addresses any concerns I have, which is rare; So this shows me that the staff does care about their tenants because I rarely go to the office for anything other than to pick up packages. I also don't have any negative thoughts towards the other office staff because they're always good to me; I do believe that treating others the way you want to be treated really does make a difference though so perhaps this is why I have never had a negative experience with this Colonial community. I have read and heard 'bad' reviews about my own apartment community, but I have never run into any problems. I do think that my rent is overpriced for a one bedroom, but I would rather live here than in an older apartment in Savannah, and that is my preference. Overall, I am pleased with my home. The only thing I would change would be the location so I could be closer to school; However, I feel safe and comfortable here in Pooler so I really don't have any complaints.

This community is nice...
This community is nice on the outside but I am concerned about parking and safety. I believe that it would be fair to offer tenants one assigned spot in front of their building. I often have to park one to two buildings away and walk alone in the dark to my home. Even though this is a gated community, people often wait around to drive in after tenants. I have driven in and left the complex because I didn't want the weirdo in the car behind me to see me park. The staff is very nice and helpful with but living here is not what I thought it would be.

Please avoid this place....
Please avoid this place. They removed laundry facilities for their convenience. They decided to remove the laundry to minimize the costs and their efforts to maintenance. They think they can make additional $$$ by doing this. What a stupid decision. Simply they do not care their current residents. When I move into another place, they charged a kind of hidden fees. Why should I pay extra $$$ to remove the smell of the carpets? I believe that they should take care of this kind of issue by themselves. I strongly not to recommend this place to all of my friends and others. I will never stay the colonial glenn apartments again. Guys!! BE CAREFUL WITH THIS PLACE. YOU WILL HAVE MUCH BETTER OPTIONS FOR THE SAME COST.

I could not have moved away quick enough! The staff were some if the most miserable, difficult people to deal with EVER! Their only saving grace was one young girl they brought in to work the front office just before my departure in July 2012. I would not recommend this property to my worst enemy. No joke.
