On the pond
I currently live in one of the units facing the property pond, and I really enjoy the view. Being on the second floor, there is some noise problem with the upstairs neighbor (I think they have kids.) The management staff is very helpful and responsive to requests. Landscaping is managed well, and the pool/gym facilities are well kept.

Go to THE PRESERVE
If you want to be able to park, sleep, live in a gate community(out gate stays broken), enjoy a quiet evening don't move here!

Noise is a major problem.
We lived there for six months and had to move out because of the noise, after new tenants moved in upstairs. It sounded like we lived under a weight room or gym. We complanted about the noise again and again, their responce was that because their were children upstairs nothing could be done. One night we almost called the police, because it sounded like someone was getting beat up badly, and the kids were screeming bloody murder. We called the management of the Merritt, they told use to let them know how it worked out.<br>They suggested that we move from the second floor, to a third floor apartment. We thought that this would be ok. We had the phone, electric and cable shut off, and the mover's coming before we were able to see the apartment. The apartment was totaly unexceptable! The screened in porch had mold on it, the place was not cleaned up at all, the walls were dirty, they did not even sweep the floors.

I still live here. Word of caution. Poor construction - noise from upstairs neighbors is intolerable. Unless you know the upstairs neighbors VERY WELL and basically want to "live" with them day in and day out - recommend you not rent here.

My company put me up for two months when I transferred down here from another state. I loved the complex so much I signed on for an additional lease rather than go through the pain of looking elsewhere. I love it!

The best place in Pooler
First of all... I love the buildings and the Pool overlooking the lake. The staff is very nice and keep the grounds looking very nice.
