Cons: I hope to move out as soon as possible. This has not been the best living experience and definitely not worth the price. It is noisy, rules tend to be subjective and inconsistent, amenities are often not available, with many closures taking place. The homes are old and are faced with a myriad of maintenance challenges, wild roosters/hens are a cause of noise and health hazard, homes are infested with critters of all types, situated under a flight path, so much noise from landing planes, secuirty is spotty and inconsistent, and rent/utility increases are pretty steep. There always seems to be an emergency happening like tainted water, busted water mains, and exploding transformers. You have to always be prepared for disaster living. Also..the drive to get anywhere is pretty bad. Not a convenient location. Pros: Beach is beautiful and nice events. Staff is good too. There are just so many other challenged areas. For the prices, consider another area. This is a challenge.

Love the location, people, and amenities. Everything is within walking distance in a well maintained neighborhood with friendly residents and staff. Zero enforcement of noise or traffic rules/laws are biggest distractors.

The rent varies to much depending on the month you enter the contract. Even if you live in connecting apartments the rent is drastically different. I wish that we would of been informed of the Jet fuel contamination in the water. It has caused many health problems for those in the community and I would of liked to know about it.

My wife and I and our girls have really enjoyed our time here. It’s a great and safe community. The new owners and staff have really been making wonderful improvements. We look forward to staying here if we ever get stationed here again. This is our last year here.

It is a beauitful area, and an amazing community that is really perfect for my family. The overall experience upon leasing was great, the staff here are really friendly and very helpful. It really feels like living in a resort.

The staff is as supportive as they’re allowed. Overall it’s a nice comfortable community. We enjoy the friends and we make the best of our home to make it ours. The prices are quite steep for being much older homes but there is room for improvements and updates to make it feel worth the price. Military get a stipend they can afford it through the government but civilians should be able to enjoy just the same. Being from Hawaii all my life we’ve been around living from Hawaii Kai to ewa and ewa so far takes the cake for unreasonable high priced for living.

I love this community. It is safer for my family. My kids loves it. It is good for us and have a lot of space. Also close to school and very quiet. Nobody bothers you or your family at all..I would recommend this community to my friends or anyone.

We absolutely love it here! We moved from New Jersey so everything was handled online or by phone to get it set up. We put a lot of trust in our leasing agent Jason Schreur with my many questions. He was amazing and super patient! We have two young children so there were so many questions about the area, the people, schools, etc. the community is beautiful and everyone is so kind and welcoming. You can’t beat the beautiful beach views or the food at the restaurant on the beach.

maintenance is lacking either in staffing or general caring not sure witch takes way to long to fix things. other than that i rather enjoy loving here. something things are an annoyance but that may not be a Kapilina problem but a Navy/Hawaii problem.

Neighbors great management poor communication skills some not all, up keep on individual units poor house are in good condition do to tenant personal choice. Beach great family events are amazing gym is stellar recreation center ( pool) is always under maintenance, or closure do to. Overall good community but up keep on property and home need a higher level of standards for it value

I would never recommend this rental to anyone. It is the biggest waste of money on the island. This community has been nothing but lies and customer service representatives, not communicating or being knowledgeable of situations within the community that need to be dealt with on a professional level

Our house is DIRECTLY underneath the flight path. Military jets are very very Loud! We’ve been enjoying the quiet the last few weeks! Hope the runway renovation takes a long long time! We could use more streetlights. Chickens seem to be multiplying, I like them, but they do make holes in our yard.

The grass is not mowed enough, there are always dogs loose and running around without their owner close. I can’t walk my own pets without worrying of running into a loose aggressive dog. If larger area of the yards were allocated to the renters to maintain, cost of upkeep would fall on the renter instead of the community. This would allow fenced areas to be bigger. Maybe worth the rent individuals like to complain about.

Everything is great, love it here, everyone is nice, love the family and pet friendly community. Private beach is awesome. Farmers market in walking distance is awesome, dog park, gym, pool, nice homes to ren. Love it here :).

Resident since 2021 active duty military family and have lived on way better base housing before. Houses are 1960’s military base housing. Not resort style amenities unless you consider 60 year old houses resort like. Mostly quiet and safe neighborhood. Nice beach atmosphere when at the beach.

Poor customer service from the lease office. The electric bill is outrageous. Something I have never seen in previous apartments. Maintenance service takes about two months to get anything fixed and it seems like the main office does not care about anything

I feel welcome ?? I feel the Aloha / Ohana ??I come from a Big Family and was raised in the Mainland all my Life! My Parents moved to the Mainland to give us a better life. I sometimes think if my Mom & Dad would of left me in the Islands of Samoa or Hawaii with my Aunty’s & Uncle’s. I missed a lot of the Tropical Islands feeling. That’s what I feel here at the Kapilina Beach Home?? I am Home away from Home! I FaceTime all my Family & Children and showed off all the Amenities that comes with this Beautiful, Roomy Unit??

The problem that I have currently with Kapalina, and not maintenance. There are three, 1. When we deliver a check for rent, why does it take 10 days to get to my bank to take out the money? In a world of internet, it should be hours or a day. 2. I have been here 3 full months and only received one utility bill. Why, this was not explained to me before I signed my lease. 3. And most annoying is where are the transponders to get into the gate? It has been over a month since I got my sticker. Due to understaffing, that middle is not open and staffed during busy 4-7 hours.

My neighbor who tells us that there section 8 people has 9 dogs and maybe 9 people living there but at the moment some of them are off island for couple weeks now. They are noisy and always having dramas. Dogs constantly barking and they are abusive to dogs.

Average community living. Parking sucks as people do not abide by the no parking signs posted an security and management don’t enforce it. It’s disturbing and a lost sense of security when someone, especially a non-resident practically parks on your lanai.

Nice place to live if you don't have to work in town. The housing stock is played but the location is unique, D'Lish is consistently marvelous. Traffic on crowded streets is unacceptably dangerous, poor sight lines, too many unattended children active in and around parked cars in streets.

Kapilina Beach Home has welcome me and my family and my pets into a better way of living kapilina has so much to offer then just there beautiful home They have swimmingly pool, workout centers ,Dog Park, splashing Park , Tennis Court, Basketball court , Family outing ECT. kapilina allso has the most beautiful view,you could ever imagine and the people here are so friendly plus I truly feel safe living here at kapilina with my family and pets I am so happy to have this privilege to live here I don't ever want to leave this beautiful place I truly highly recommend living here at kapilina Beach Home this is my Home sweet Home ??
