Great place to live close to the beach, on-site weekend restaurant, beautiful and mature landscape. Nice pool and hot tub. Great neighbors. Huge lanais and spacious homes. Safe safe safe. We love our home.

Its a beautiful experience with professional staff personnel from the guard shack to the office and onto the maintenance crew. The experience have been nothing less than amazing. This amazing pet and child friendly community is filled with amenities for the whole family to enjoy. We absolutely love it here

Is good but the house needs a lot of elbow grease. Cleanliness can be improved. And maintenance need more employees the time for repair is to much. Grounds are not well maintained in some areas. Security is not effective the patrol and do nothing else. Only minor issues are resolve by security. The community has a problem with stolen bikes and damage to property. I like the complex and amenities and the school.

Best place in Oahu! It is the perfect place if you have little kids. Very safe and clean. The people working here are very nice. Kehau and Evalani helped me so much to resolved an issue with my lease. I am extremely thankful to them. The only downside of leaving here is that some residents lie about how many pets they have and some of them have 3-4 dogs in a house that bark the whole day. No place is perfect but this is the closest to perfection you are going to find. I recommend this place 1000%

I love the convenience of being by the beach and the neighborhood families. The security team has been extremely pushy at times and the communication between staff and their families at time is uncalled for.

Love living here! Great location and perfect beach lifestyle. Not for everyone and it isnt cheap but theres no way to otherwise live on a beautiful, Hawaiian beach and come close to this love it!!!

Pros: beach, very nice & resourceful neighbors, can bring your own appliances, and very quiet. Cons: not a lot of street lights leading up to community or within community, very old and outdated homes (mold, quality of the walls/paint), and pest issues

I love living here. I always tell my friends and family about this place. Aint no place like Kapilina. There are lots of things to do. The community is very beautiful with trees, flowers, a lagoon with a bike path and the view from the beach

Its ok because we are close to the beach. If I had to live in Hawaii long term, this wouldnt be my first choice of housing. If you arent military you have to drive into town for a store so I think that would be a huge negative for some people.

Overall, we've had a good experience. The amenities are excellent. The staff are kind. The condition of the homes are good. We feel safe in our neighborhood - are neighbors are nice and we help each other out.

We have had an overall great experience. We love how close and wonderful the school is. Our neighbors are wonderful. It is too bad we were unable to renegotiate our lease terms as rents have dramatically decreased.

Very safe environment. Neighbors mind their own business. Office staff full of ALOHA. Community responding to CDC GUIDELINES during COVID-19 pandemic. There are many activities available for you to participate in. Nice weather lots of breeze.

Great community, and a lot of good spaces in the house with an amazing view and quiet neighborhood at times. I really like this community and the sense of security I feel when I am away from home. I would recommend this to friends and family, or anyone to live here.

We love calling this place home! Our whole family kids & Dog are happy here. Were going on our 5th year here. The spacious units. Safe friendly community are amazing. We love the amenities you cant find anywhere else. Its a must see! They have great move in specials & a team to help. Our kids love the school too. Dog park & beach area. Love the cafe on the beach & farmers market.

I was expecting maintenance to come after the Covid is lifted as I was told, but they came and did an awesome job anyways... wearing mask and all... My family love it here. Neighborhood feels safe. Neighbors here are good people. Cleaning crew are always on the dot to mow the grass. Beach is a walking distance as well as the Elementary school...

It's a safe neighborhood with the exception of a few neighborhood kids stealing from carports at night. The housing is old but the amenities are pretty good. The beach is nice and D'lish is a good place to eat.

We have had a great experience with the staff at Kapilina! Ms Danielle with the leading department helped make sure our stuff that we had shipped, that arrived before us, made it into our house for us. We really appreciate all the hard work from the staff and want everyone to know that this is a great place to live!

We enjoy living here and all the amenities. We just wish there were better communication between the office members and the community. I think the main reason why people get frustrated living here is we never know what is going on and it seems like the employees dont either. The planes can be quite loud which we were never told about when touring the facility with an employee so we felt taken aback by all the noise when we got here.

Nice location. Terrible management. Stupid rules that do not make any sense. The homes are super old and most are infested with termites and cockroaches. The appliances are also super old. We have had our fridge replaced twice--I believe with pre-used fridges. Lots of issues with the sink and plumbing in general. Maintenance is slow and usually only "slaps band-aids on" that may hold up for a week or two and then the problem reappears.

There are great staff members that make living within the Kapilina community worthwhile- however they are far and few. The majority of the staff will not treat residents with respect. The maintenance crew does not follow up or have follow through so to have work orders completed within a timely manner are far and few. The passive aggressive hostility is very difficult to pinpoint however it does exist. It is sad as the community is beautiful and has so much potential.

I love living here, we just extended for the third time. I just wish we had more access to the amenities During this COVID time and that the Hot tub was open later. And that rent was not so expensive. We love living on the lagoon and have a great breeze.

We've lived here for almost 2 years now. There are so many things we love about this community, its location and amenities that I could easily write several reviews for each. The thing that really makes living here enjoyable for us though are the people who work here. Whether it's the Resident Services desk, the ground crew, the maintenance crew, or anyone else really, they are always friendly, efficient, and willing to go out of their way. Tonight for example, we came home from work to realize that we had missed the maintenance crew that tried to come out to fix some electrical issues. We called and asked if there was any way they could come back today or tomorrow. One of the technicians, Hermie, VOLUNTEERED to come back out on a Thursday night and within 20 minutes fixed a light, two outlets, and a switch. As has been our experience with all of the maintenance guys that have come out to our house, Hermie was very professional and efficient, and had a lot of patience. He and his coworker (I'm sorry I didn't catch his name!) made our night! We really appreciate how hard everyone works here at Kapilina to ensure we have such a great experience. It really makes all the difference in the world.

I love it here!!! So peaceful, beautiful, and so many amenities !!! The private beach, gated community, farmers market, 24/7 gym, and lawn service are all included with my lease .... really no need to go anywhere else !!

Great homes with a beautiful neighborhood. Its nice to live far from work, but also be able to make it there in a timely manner. Theres a lot of tree cover which is nice for shade, and the floor plans are open and very spacious.
