Kapilina Beach Homes has exceeded our expectations and we have enjoyed living here over the last 5 months. I would definitely recommend living here to a friend or family member. We especially like living near the beach where I can teach my young boys to surf and fish.

Living here has been pretty great! You can't beat how close we live to the beach for the price we pay. The amenities are awesome. Tons of parks to choose from. Paddle boarding on the lagoon is a nice way to get in the water and exercise. The staff has always been helpful and nice. Central A/C (in the townhomes). Only negative comment I can really say is the bugs. But honestly, where on the island will you not find them? We love living here!

Old world charm. I grew up in the military so there is a bit of nostalgia to this place. You can hear reveille and retreat each day. It is between the Airport and a firing range so a bit noisy at times, but you get used to it. The flat we live in is certainly well used, but the value is pretty great. We can walk to the beach, the staff is friendly and helpful. There are some nice amenities and it is in good repair. It is on the older side, but I think that makes it special. I am actually quite proud to live here and think its an excellent fit for our family.

We lived in Kapilina for a little over two years and there were a lot of good things and a few not so good things. We loved the beach, school, and community. Almost everyone we met was friendly and inviting. Our house itself for the most part was o.k. There were some issues and not all of them were addressed before we left. When we moved in, the paint immediately started peeling off the doors and we had a significant infestation ants. Bugs are to be expected but a colony of ants shouldnt be marching through the house everyday. It was a battle the entire time we lived there to keep them at bay. They were every where, in every room, by the hundreds. We had pest control come every month and it was still barely enough to keep them out of my coffee maker, water cooler, and printer. We also found that mold was growing on the window sills and door frames, which was coming from under the paint. This issue was not addressed and progressed even as we moved out even though I started reporting it at least 6 months prior. Despite my scrubbing and using several different cleaners on it, it came back. We also found the lack of regular lawn maintenance a contributor in pests. Overall, i believe that living in Kapilina had a positive impact on my familys life. We truly enjoyed our time there but certain aspects like rent renewals being higher than houses being the same house for a new renter as well a staff that is not always responsive, I would recommend with caution.

Resident Services and Maintenance do not reply promptly regarding requests or concerns and do not notify you when they schedule your request. Air traffic noise from military stations is very loud. The grounds and amenities are wonderful. The homes could definitely be in better condition and are minimally addressed prior to move-ins. If they fixed response-time and provided notifications, and performed more in-depth maintenance, I would highly recommend this community.

We have been living in Honolulu for the past 3 years. My husband and I decided that we needed a change of pace once our sun was born. We are absolutely in love with this entire community. Everyone is so friendly and the location is absolutely beautiful! Weve only been here for a week or so and we absolutely love it!

Management needs to do a better job of keeping residents happy and completing requests for service in a more timely manner. I have asked to have issues with roaches and insects resolved to no avail, electrical problems, and grass maintenance problems. Not sure why these are not addressed and fixed on first request, have to keep asking over and over. However, the maintenance workers are very friendly and do a great job when they are allowed to treat or work on a residence.

I have enjoyed living here, other people not so much. I dont plan on moving anytime soon so long as Kapilina does not increase the rent and price me out of the neighborhood. The amenities this community offer sure beat having to drive the island to find them.

Just moved in and love the feel of the community. The FB group seems super supportive and neighbors are friendly. The beach is gorgeous and Im excited to try it out this weekend. Love Dlish and excited for when all the amenities are open!

Community is nice only issues, ants in our house are kind of out of control and everything is closed down due to covid but we are still paying full price for amenities we can not use. We dont expect much but should see a small deduction in rent for non availability of services.

Weve only been here since the start of shut down so we have not gotten to experience all of the amenities yet. We are excited to be able to access the pool and dog park primarily since thats why we moved here

I lived there for 3 years just left rent increased every year no explanation whatsoever I understand a little increase but my last year waS increased by 250 total increase was 500 for 3 years and utilities is a joke something fishy going on there my first year was an average of 300 and kept increasing you ask for a AsistaTrance and they are no help they start playing the blame game my las bill was 1500 plus rent I was told it was longer month and theres always a power outage like every month I had enough broke my lease and left it was very expensive to move took all my savings but don't have to deal with outrageous utilities anymore also it's a very crooked and shady community don't do it run if you can hawaii is surrounded by beautiful beaches don't let that place fool you

Was great when we first moved in....but not so great anymore. Electric is sky high, poorly managed maintenance team who cant keep up and does the bare minimum. They let the grass grow to your knees and then turn the sprinklers off to kill the grass because they cant keep up on mowing. But we still get charged the same common water fee. Pest control....is out of control. Ive submitted numerous requests for them to spray and I doubt it gets done....I have no proof either way other then the bugs. Then there are the termites who continue to hollow out the doors and Kap doesnt do much about it....they send a guy to come and treat but they never address the issue. Just dont move here....there are far better places on island you can go.

The whole process of moving in to Kapilina beach home was very easy. The agent was funny, very polite and professional. She prepare everything which resulted in a very smooth process for us. Rachel Ventura provided the best customer service and eliminate the stress and pressure over the difficult time for the family. My family and I have lived at Kapilina Beach Homes for more than 12 years now. We have had the opportunity to go through multiple property owners, and facility managers (Both good and bad). However, the one stable person that has helped my family and I through the many trials we experinced there was Mrs. Evalani Exner. During our time with Kaplina, Evalani has served our family in a few different positions (due to job change / promotion), but her demeanor, respectfulness, courtesy, kindness, and honesty has always been the same. Thank you Mrs Evalani for all that you do, and for anyone that is looking to move to Kapalina, please look for Mrs Evalani, you won't regret it :).

Weve been here for 10+ years. & its been amazing. Of course with lots of changes theres a lot of new challenges but as always, Kapilina always delivers. There are some minor problems in between but I believe theyre trying their hardest to fix it. Too much aloha is never a bad thing.

Unhappy when they planned to redo our driveway because of how badly it is. They changed their minds and just resealed over dirt and cracks and rain water flows to the car port and fills up about 2" so we have to walk in water to get into vehicle. Other than that sprinkles don't come on around house while we pay for common water around property, grass growing to tall because not enough workers, so I cut my own grass.

The house was very spacious and there was always a nice breeze blowing through. We loved walking over to the lagoon and watching the fish and the beautiful sunsets over the water. We miss the gym and the hot tub so much! Amenities were great and well kept. We did have A LOT of issues with bugs and pests. Pest control did what they can and its mostly been working.

Poor up keep. Management does not hold tenants accountable to rules and lease agreements. Broken down cars on streets, parking on grass, poor up keep of lawns. Dirty smelly bathrooms. Dlish is amazing. Pool has got better. Gym always dirty.

We have been enjoying our experience at Kapilina so much! Our children have so many opportunities for play and exercise here! We enjoy the proximity to all of the amenities and have been able to utilize most of them! Our whole family absolutely loves living here!

I moved here because I needed a place asap. And this was my only option. I don't like how far away it is from everything. They have a lot of power outages. When I have a maintenance problem I always ask for them to call before they come over and they NEVER do. So that's super annoying. The ladies in the leasing office are rude. My move in experience was horrible. Can't wait till the lease is up. And I've heard that whenever your lease is up that your rent goes up EVERYTIME. So no thanks. Not worth it. It's already expensive as it is.

Kapelina is absolutely terrible. It seems great at first. The locals come in and destroy the beach and leave trash. The maintenance team is horrible and the front office has an attitude problem. Save yourself some time. Dont waste your BAH. Off base Navy housing is the way to go.

Kapilina was a great community for our family. We lived close to the school and made great friends who became family while we were there. We just moved about 2 weeks ago and we are so thankful that we found a place that was safe for our kids, gave us enough space for our family and we were able enjoy the amenities. The maintenance guys were always professional and cleaned up after they left. I could go to the resident services for any issues I had and had we not had to move we would have renewed our lease. It was a great place to live for our family.

Our move to Kapilina has been an amazing experience. From ----- going above and beyond to help us before and during the application process to maintenance coming out to change the hot water heater, we could not be more pleased with how helpful everyone has been. Plus the amenities are amazing and the food at D'lish is awesome!!
