My family and I really enjoy this community, we have lived here for over 8 years. A lot of new amenities as well, great to just stay in the area for the weekends. Only downfall is the insect issue, no matter how you treat the issue the insects seem to come back.

I love living here. Not only can we walk to the beach but the mountain views, the pool, the jacuzzi, and the gym are amazing. The weekly farmers market is a great time to be able to get fresh veggies without having to go very far.

It's a safe gated community. The school is right on the property with some of the best teachers in Hawaii. The community center and the splash park are great addition to the neighborhood

We love our townhome and our location. We are close to the school and that is great. But, we have been in the house a few weeks now and the items we listed on our move in inspection are still not fixed yet. Nothing major, but a few little things like the fridge door seal sagging, and a few other thibgs like that... We do love the access to the pool, gym and dog park, as well as the beach. I think we're going to like it here.

Kapilina beach homes is just that... resort living! The beach is a walk away no matter where you live, the resident service is always helpful and pleasant and the amenities are unbeatable! What a beautiful community we are lucky to call home!

I love the community feel here. The added amenities like the pool, fitness center and beach restaurant are fantastic. The down sides are the cost of the utilities and rent. However, the rent is comparable and actually better than most in the area for what Kapilina offers.

We love Kapilina. We have been here two weeks and the community is great. Everything is conviently located for everyone here. The staff was amazing for the leasing process and even before that process.

I enjoy living at Kapilina. The office staff, is great! Especially Evalani. There is airplane noise, but you get used to it. If there is a problem it gets fixed. The sense of community is awesome, I feel very at home, and safe.

We moved here about 7 months ago and so far we are extremely pleased with everything the community has to offer. We had issues to start with a leaking shower but it was quickly taken care of in a professional manner. If you are looking to rent here I would highly recommend it!

I have lived in the community for 9 years. I absolutely Love this place and highly recommend it to anyone who is considering moving to the area. The community is gated, which I Love and the amenities from the resort pool, to the state of the art gym, and the resort beach with a small restaurant is amazing.. I also get to enjoy the gas station and mini mart as a retired military member which is very convenient. I have seen this community grow and improve over the years. They do an amazing job of having family friendly events that bring the residents together. The staff and maintenance all do a great job in resolving any of my issues. It's nice to live in a community where the people who live in it and the staff who take care of it have pride. I will be sad on the day that I have to move out of this awesome community but in the meantime, I will continue to enjoy my home and refer all my family and friends. Sharon Bell

It's been a little over a year now since we've been living in Kapilina and it's truly a beautiful community; we love Kapilina! From the amazing Kapilina staff, to everyday beach access, a 24 hour gym, and a warm/friendly community; its quite unlike any other place. The most important piece to us is the service offered by the staff. They are truly a hard working group of people. We'd like to thank Kathy Mara for being such an amazing person! She goes above and beyond what is expected of her, and definitely deserves this recognition. She's an OUTSTANDING Resident Services manager! Thank you Kathy! Customer service is a crucial part of any business/organization, and the entire staff at Kapilina definitely has this covered! Mahalo to everyone for their hard work and for all you do, everyday! If you're thinking of making Kapilina your new home, you're definitely making the right decision!

First I will touch on the things starred: I live in a duplex with the carport in between me and my neighbor. I do not hear neighbors at all. It's very quiet. Landscaping is great. They mow the lawn so I don't have to. Love that! Safety... the lighting is horrible. It is PITCH BLACK walking from the street to my front door (i.e. for guests) and from my carport to my front door. I installed 2 motion sensor lights but I feel like I need at least 2 more to point in other directions. Pitch black! Neighborhood: the Kapilina neighborhood itself is great. I love all the stuff it has to offer and ppl are pretty nice who live here. Private beach is awesome and the fun nights of stuff they do is really cool. I do not like the thieves. Now that I do not understand. It's a community where you have to have access to get in yet ppl constantly report cars, bikes, motorcycles, etc. being stolen. How is that even possible? And, although there's a "security guard" the overall sense is that nothing is done about it. So that is pretty crappy. Also, there is NOTHING around. Nothing. There is no little bar to go shoot pool or throw darts at. There is nothing very close. I have to go to friend's houses when we want to go out because they all complain that there is nothing to do in Ewa Beach area. I see some new construction so hopefully that will change. I'd love to open a bar. I'd make a ton of money!! Overall, I give this place 4 stars. I really like living here. Not a fan of all the ants that never seem to get out of my house no matter how much we spray or lay traps or whatever but from what I hear, that's Hawaii. I do wish that they would make it so there's a break in the speed bumps for motorcycles. With the dips and pot holes and speed bumps, it's not very motorcycle friendly which is a bummer for me.

If you want a pet friendly neighborhood that you can call home by the beach, Kapilina is the best rental community in the west side. I love this place and it's amenities; I'm sure my four legged kids would agree =)

I would have given Kapilina Beach Homes a much higher review until they faulted us for being a military family. My husband received orders (which was a complete surprise to us) to deploy for 7-9 months. Upon move in, we were nicely given one month of rent free. We terminated our lease (because of the orders) with no issues, no fees. As I turned in the keys (already stressed out because we chose to vacate quickly to find a new place on top of finding out your spouse is leaving for over half a year) I was informed that I owed them back the rent that they chose to "gift" us. It is in the lease that if you terminate your lease, you owe that back. But shouldn't that be a little different for military? Shouldn't the SCRA cover that? Not according to Kapilina. We didn't choose to leave because we didn't like the paint color anymore. We had to come up with $2,300 of rent on top of the rent for our new place all while he left on an overseas deployment. I tried extremely hard to discuss this with them but was told that this had come up previously and they chose to force military to pay back any concessions. I was hoping they would be more sympathetic to our situation. I highlighted SCRA documents, which exists to prevent military from having to shell out tons of money directly before leaving, they didn't care. I got an email showing all that we owed, stating they would credit report me and send to collections. I 100% agree to have regular people who move for frivolous reasons pay that fee back but I think they could do an awful lot more for our military. This just gave me a whole new view of the term MONEY HUNGRY, where leaving on a deployment to serve your country disqualifies you from a free month of rent that they choose to offer. Side note- Yes, everyone else's comments are definitely true- It is dated, our townhome was not in the best shape, utilities were crazy, definitely killed some gross bugs and the planes are loud but never affected my day in any way--but you can see all of those things before you move in. The amenities far outweighed the negatives. Pros: The dog park is awesome, the beach was beautiful, farmers market, events, the new beach restaurant, maintenance was extremely friendly and helpful, awesome community feel (for the most part), mini NEX. I absolutely felt safe and planned to live there our entire stay in Hawaii.

MY FAMILY AND I LOVE LIVING HERE IN THE COMMUNITY!! THIS PLACE HAS SO MUCH TO OFFER AND INDULGE IN!! WE WERE LAST ASSIGNED HERE IN 2007, AT THE TIME CALLED IROQUOIS POINT.. VISITED A FRIEND AND SOME FAMILY LIVING IN HERE AND FELL IN LOVE WITH THE COMMUNITY!! TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!

I really like this place! We have lived in military style housing before, so we don't mind that. This place, however, has been renovated, and the amenities are too numerous to write, which include a private beach with picnic tables/grills and a brand new pool. This is the best bang for your buck, in my opinion.

Kapalina Beach Homes is like having a home on a vacation resort. The community center makes some of Hawaii's resorts look like just another hotel. Here you have all the amenities of a high end resort without leaving home. It is quiet and beautiful!

I love my little piece of paradise, where I get to escape the hustle and bustle. Its quiet with friendly neighbors and staff. This is one of the best moves that my husband and I made. Enjoying paradise one day at a time.

I have zero complaints. I'm very grateful to have stumble upon such a treasure, Kapalina beach homes beach is like Ewa's hidden gem. I actually tried thinking of a problem, but had nothing to say negative about this place, guess could be pricey, but considering what they offer it's extremely fair.
